they put him in handcuffs they had him on the ground they they had their knee on him he was just trying to go to work I mean he's literally outside the stadium you can seeum in the background there in the video and what are they doing to him I mean he wasn't fighting back but by no means did he resist this is completely abusive unnecessary scary it was one of the low points of of my my career to see a client treated this way at his own stadium but we'll document everything we'll get the evidence and if it's warant it we'll take legal action we want to make sure this doesn't happen anymore Tyreek Hill's agent speaks with Stephen A Smith I want you to hear exactly what he had to say and then I'll come back with my comments yesterday was one one of the most frustrating days of my 37 years as an agent Stephen a as an agent you never dream you're going to get a call like I did from my client John new Smith on the Dolphins who calls me frantically saying Drew you got to get to the stadium right away the cops are beating on Tyreek they're choking him they're hitting him they have him on the ground in handcuffs I was like John are you kidding me is this some kind of joke how's this possible and uh I rushed to the stadium I immediately called the Dolphins and notify them in their security so they can go help out and I get there Tyreek still in handcuffs it was just botling I I spent quite a bit of time talking to Tyreek he said Drew I I give you my word I didn't do anything to deserve that they uh apparently stopped him in route to entering the stadium to play the game about two hours and maybe 20 minutes before game time they gave him a ticket for reckless driving and uh the video is just uh it's AOL this is this is Tyreek Hill I mean any human being shouldn't be treated this way for um a traffic incident they uh they put him in handcuffs they had him on the ground they they had their knee on him he was just trying to go to work I mean he's literally outside the stadium you can seeum in the background there in the video and what are they doing to him I mean he wasn't fighting back but by no means did he resist this is completely abusive unnecessary scary it was one of the low points of of my my career to see it client treated this way at his own stadium much less now you said you one of your clients Janu called you and told you that they were beating him they were kicking him whatever once you got there and he was still in cuffs first of all what did you specifically see once you arrived well once I got there uh the Dolphins head of security Drew Brooks was there as well and they took the Cuffs off uh at approximately the same time that I arrived at that point I was just uh working with Tyreek to just settle him down he was so upset with the way they treated him he was so Disturbed that you know his family would would be exposed to seeing him treated this way um you know his teammates Kus Campbell and John new Smith were both there the police were giving them a hard time uh both of those players were very upset very distraught told me they they thought the force was success it's just a sad situation to see an individual forget that Tyreek a a player but anybody just for uh giving a citation for moving violation who's clearly not a threat or fighting back to be treated that way it's just mindboggling and and if I could just say yeah t Tyreek is obviously it's obviously driving a sports car he's obviously black they were white officers I mean it's just really in oury to see this type of treatment I don't know that they know whether he was Tyreek or not but but have some awareness that he's trying to get to the game and go to work Drew let me ask you this question you're you know you've been obviously you're a very influential very powerful agent you've been in the World of Sports for so many years like you said 37 years and counting for crying out loud I would ask you this you've also been based down there you were smart enough to be based down there there's a no state income tax state down there you've been smart enough to be down there all of these years you're obviously a very very influential individual when you showed up did you say anything specifically to the offices did they say anything to you I was really focused on Tyreek uh I I said to the officers involved what what's going on here you know and and initially they were uh very rude to me as well initially didn't want to let me get to Tyreek I said look I'm tyre's agent I'm a lawyer as well you're not going to stop me it was just a shocking scenario to see our client treated in this City with that being said where you where do you go from here because I I know they say there's an investigation going on but they did Issue a statement saying that they felt Tyreek Hill was uncooperative but one of the officers has been resigned to desk Duty I guess um where do you go from here what's your recour from this point forward well I trust Tyreek he said he wasn't uncooperative but uh even if he even if he was uh explaining that he was trying to get to the game trying to get into the stadium explaining who he was that doesn't lend itself to put a guy in cuffs and put him on the ground and uh hit him and and put their knee on his back and Tyreek said they put him in a choke hold at one point I mean he wasn't resisting at all obviously the citation was just for reckless driving it is where do we go from here we're we're going to investigate but we'll document everything we'll get the evidence in if it's warranted we'll take legal action we want to make sure this doesn't happen anymore Drew rosenhouse famous agent he's one of the best out there he had a lot to say about Tyreek Hills detainment with the cops but he was really just talking about he doesn't like the way that this happened he feels as though this may be a little extra but they were players from the Miami Dolphins that were at the scene and the cops allegedly were acting a little hostile towards them so this may have been a situation to where maybe they didn't care if it was Tyreek Hill or not it was said that he was speeding around the arena going over the speed limit he was in the process of going to the arena I don't know what's going on as far as the Miami Police the ones that detain Tyreek Hill but one of those officers is on administrative leave so whatever happened or didn't happen looks like the Miami PD are trying to figure out as well I know he has support from the Miami Dolphins the owner Steven Ross his agent you know again he speaking in legal terms believe he was a lawyer as well so he has that legal background so he doesn't want to go too far ahead of himself but he is of course riding with his player Tyreek Hill you obviously got to do that his word is golden when it comes to this whole situation if that's a player that you're representing you have some legal background even though Tyreek Hill has his own lawyers and attorneys on deck for situations like this it looks like they are trying to pursue some type of legal action if it comes down to that of course again they're going to have to look at that body cam footage it's Tyreek Hill's word versus the cops word but that video wasn't a good look so I know there's a lot of people out there a lot of opinions but we got to wait until this body cam footage really comes about at the end of the day I'm biased so I'm rooting for Ty kill hopefully it wasn't a situation to where he was acting hostile and the cops did what they had to do like subscribe comment what do you think about the Tyreek Hill detainment situation I want to know your thoughts about this like subscribe comment peace
