the Louisiana Monroe Indians well we hope you're as excited as we are for this one and here come the [Applause] Indians the tigers are going to have a rough time on the field of this game I want to hear what KK herb stre thinks Louisiana Monroe has a big- Time quarterback who can really put up some big numbers against his defense I look for him to have an outstanding game spreading the ball to his receivers Lee look for a big blowout here I agree with you on this one I'm picking the Indians Louisiana Monroe is ready to open this one up as they line up for the opening kick and this one's a short kick number 25 Fields it at the [Applause] [Music] [Applause] 11 today we get to watch a spectacular athlete at running back when he's on the field as he is right now defenses really have to tailor their game plan for him he's a of a player and I really believe that he could have a huge game today that makes two of us then I just don't know if there's enough Talent on this defense especially at linebacker to compete with such a great running back well I guess we'll just have to wait and see so it's second and 10 ball on their own 29 Jackson State goes with the AAP here they keep it on the ground with a tail back and they make the stop a seven yd run by the running back seveny game on the play Third it's third down and three to go ball on the 36 High formation here nickel defense little hand off breaks one and they push him out and the halfback ripped off a nice gain there to get him the first hey this kid's a goodl looking back let's see if they go to him again first and 10 ball on the 45 yd they come out in a nickel on the ground with a tail back and now the ball is loose number 61 recovers a loose ball talk about a close call the running back put the ball on the ground but the offense keeps possession yo Kirk is it somebody's birthday on defense I don't know where are you going with this one well it's got to be somebody's birthday because this running back is handing out presents out there either that or he's doing his best to get benched now I got you fumble birthday present I got you and he breaks another brought down he picked up a first down on that run coach yep and you know if you can pick up a few more first downs on the ground like that it will really open up the Play action [Applause] pass it's first and 10 and this is the sixth play of the Drive Jackson State in a for wide set play action he's looking he rolls out to the right lets it go it's deflected oh he had the pick and he dropped it a lost opportunity there when you have a chance to make an interception in the end zone you got to make the play he could have ented that scoring drive right there but no he'd rather give him another shot Jack State comes out with two tight end little hand off and now he's got room to run and they make the Stop and that was a nice run KK that was a great job by that big offensive line yeah it really was Brad and also nice read by the ball carrier to find that running waye when you break one like that you got to give a lot of credit to the offensive [Applause] line on the 12 and they can smell the goal line Pro formation here there's a counter play and he's taken down gain of two car gain of two on the [Applause] play great setting up the play action somehow gets the ball away he has some room they'll bring him down way to look it in nice catch sure was he displayed some great hands there now we're looking at a first down number 22 wants the ball we'll see if they give it to him on the ground with the tail back there's a Miss tackle he's in for the touchdown he got behind those big Buffet Busters and followed them into the end zone that doesn't do a whole lot for yards per carry average but hey it sure puts it Dan [Music] starting to work hard in the trenches let me tell you something the biggest compliment you can give a coach is that his team is playing hard and you're right these SE guys are playing real hard right now Louisiana Monroe comes out in the shotgun the senior makes the catch they just couldn't get to the quarterback in time that's one of the things that can happen if a defense brings extra guys to rush the quarterback the offense will have favorable matchups to get the ball down field and this kid is talented enough to see those receivers it's not easy to get the ball past those big bulldozers when they're flying right at you second and two this is the fifth play of this drive number 15 comes to the line with three wide inside hand off sheds a tackler brought down that was a pretty good run incredible effort there running the football by this guy it's first and 10 and this is the sixth play of the drive Louisiana Monroe lines up with three receivers across the middle incomplete a little too high for his receiver you throw the football into the end zone you've got to be extremely accurate you don't have any room for err second and 10 this is a seventh play of this Drive Number 15 with me as though the offensive line is ready to run the ball some more and that defensive line better be ready because if they aren't they'll be giving up another touchdown Drive they'll set up shot at the 27 six DBS in the lineup little hand off and they make the stop just a yard there car one yain on the play second and nine ball in the 28 2 they line up in a double tight set again with the Run he's got an opening and down he goes picked up big yards there and he's going to have a first down yeah nice job there this guy does a good job in reading his blocks and accelerating through the holes [Applause] it's first and 10 ball right around Midfield number 22 is in the zone and looking to make something happen up the middle broke away from one and he's tackled three yd gain by the running back yd gain on the play second and seven ball right around Midfield y they come out with a big set they'll go with a run once again brought down and that one goes for a big big first down you know every time you run the ball successfully like that that defense starts to creep up a little bit that's when you go to the air my friend over the top it's first and 10 and this is the fifth play of the current Drive they'll throw on first down throws it to the outside got it tackle and a good call that time yeah and in my opinion it's plays like this they can have a lot of success against this defense second and two coming up here ball on the 33 yd line on the ground with the tail back and they make the stop picked up a first down on that carry yeah a good job up front by the offensive line they picked up some nice blocks to allow that back to get in there for some extra yardage first and 10 first and 10 this is a seventh play of this Drive Jackson State sets up in the eye and he's tackled and I think that run right there puts him over 100 and if you look at how he's getting these yards it's really not fair his offensive line is doing most of the work out there not so fast my friend this guy is working hard for his yardage breaking tackles making things happen that's what I call a playmaker drops back to pass throw short incomplete pass you got to be careful throwing in the coverage like that well coach I don't think it was a poor decision it was just a great reaction by the man in coverage third and third and seven coming up here and this is the ninth play of the current Drive they line up in an eye setting up the play action rolls to to the right and they got it so one of the veterans on this defense gets in there for the sack they've got to do a better job of protecting their quarterback yeah he can't afford to take too many more hits like [Applause] that they come out in a nickel he dropped back throws this one out to the right got it to his receiver unbelievable pass they don't care what down it is this defense can't let that happen if you stop a guy on third down you can't let him go for it on Fourth like that it's first and 10 this is the 11th play of this drive their last drip down here was a success let's see if this one will result in another touchdown throws it to the outside that's just good defense right there coach it was Kirk but you know what it's all reaction anytime you're out there on defense and the pass is within arms length away you knock it down on the 11 going in again with a carry brought down this guy just made those 10 yards look easy gain of 10 on the play Jackson State comes out with an eye formation rolling out to the right side and they get the sack the quarterback had nowhere to go and he's brought down for the sack they' got to do a better job up front with their pass protection if they don't start picking up everybody then this quarterback is going to be pretty sore in the morning that's for the defense that was called they just didn't make the play on the ball you're right it wasn't necessarily bad defense the offense just executed and the result is a first down [Music] first and 10 ball on the 47 yd line the Indians line up with three wide they keep it on the ground with a tail back there he goes loose football tackle the offense will keep possession after the fumble by the running back it's a good thing they can't afford a turnover right now [Music] [Music] it's first and 10 ball on the 33 five wide it's a bad snap steps up in the pocket he passes it it falls incomplete he had his wide out but he couldn't hit him when he misses it's usually high and that's something he's been working very hard with his coach on so it's second and 10 ball on the 33 yd line [Applause] they shotgun set throws a la pass out to the right and it's caught and down he goes three yds there on the play three yd gain on the [Applause] play now it's third and Six coming up ball on the 16 yd line they come out with three wide receivers they keep it on the ground with a tail back he's into the open field brought down and that'll give him another first down excellent job there Brad of running the football football that was good execution by this offense number 15 has more receivers lined up here on the ground with a tail back well executed play there good blocking by the big guys the running back takes it right in that's listen that's what you do when you get up close to the you find a way to off and that's exactly what they [Music] [Applause] do and now we'll take a look at the Pontiac Drive summary Louisiana Monroe ready to kick this one off2 back deep return kicks it off number 25 Fields it at the nine just about ready to call a first play of this drive they were able to pick up a field goal on their last possession they'll take over at the 28 yd line first and 10 a backfield they keep it on the ground with a tail back they'll bring him down a two- yd run by the halfback gain of two on the [Applause] play second and eight coming up here ball on their own 30 Jackson State comes to the line only one man in the back field again he'll get the call and he's tackled four yd gain by the back the Run gain of four on the play third and four ball in the 34 inside hand off and he's taken down and he carried that one for a few yards you know when you have a guy that can grab five yards or so consistently it sure takes some of the pressure off the passing game it's first and 10 ball on the 41 41 yd the tiger come out in a two tight endet they'll throw on first down over the middle and they couldn't hook up on that one number 81 the intended receiver on the play second and 10 this is the fifth play of this drive single set back field and they'll run him again he's hit and got away they'll drop him for a loss the halfback couldn't get any Running Room and that was because the defense had called a blitz just at the right time he went right through the offensive line and nailed him for loss so another third down upcoming for the offense nickel defense back to pass he steps up under heavy pressure and they bring him down for a sack on the play now that's some heavy pressure it all starts with the Battle of front I don't care how good your receivers are or how explosive your running backs are if you can't control the line of scrimmage then it's tough to move the football I agree coach and the thing is this quarterback can make some plays for you if you give him enough time back there to throw well it looks like he's going to have to figure out how to make plays without time they line up the put this one away number 15 punts it and he didn't get much distance on it number 38 Fields it at the 41 Ball's loose offense falls on it first and 10 ball on the 46 4 y the tiger go with the eye formation eye formation here they go with a pitch to the right and he's going to throw and it's incomplete you got to be careful when you're calling a trick play like this because it's usually a huge gain or a turnover they were lucky it was only incomplete it's second down and 10 to go ball on the 46 yd line the tiger line up with a split back set on the ground with a tail back and now he'll lateral it number 23 with a recovery and this could be a big return inside the 30 to the 10 he's all the way home touchdown and that is not what they had in mind it was simply a bad play turnovers are bad on own but when you add to the fact that the result in points for the opposition uhoh that will kill you every [Music] [Applause] time and 22 Back deep to return number 22 takes from the 10 so the offense comes out after their last Drive had the ball end up in the defense's hands by way of a fumble they'll go to work at the 26 yd line number 16 with four wide receivers on the ground with the tail back look at that the blitz just threw off their blocking assignments and that's why this running back is looking for his mouthpiece right now it's second down now and 13 to go ball on the 23 Second and 13 ball on the 23 y they'll bring in their dime package they'll keep it on the ground again brought down and that was a nice run KK that was a great job by that big offensive line yeah it really was Brad and also a nice read by the Ball Carrier to find that running Lane when you break one like that you got to give a lot of play it's second down and five to go ball in the 42 y the tiger go with the eye formation and he's going to throw off his hands incomplete you got to be careful when you're calling a trick play like good job against him the last time they had the ball forcing the punt but remember they had given up quite a few yards before forcing that punt they might not be so lucky this time they'll set up shot at the 24 yd line they're lining up in the 52 they'll throw on first down under pressure and he's going to be sacked for a loss they get to the quarterback and end that play before it even got started this young man didn't even have a chance to make something happen it's tough to find your receivers when the defense is in your face like that second and long ball on the 16 number 16 comes to the line with three wide throw excellent open field tackle seven yards there seven yd gain on the [Applause] play Third and 11 coming up here ball in the 23 y nickel defense he drops back steps up looks throws it to the outside well the defense stood tall there well the defense did what they had to do to get three and out and now get the offense back on the field four and 11 on the 23 yd line Jackson State lining up the punt number 15 punch it and he didn't kick that ball well at all number 38 takes it at the 43 they're ready to start another Drive hoping to duplicate the results of the last one third down sweetheart that was a good looking play wasn't it coach oh yeah this offensive coordinator must have seen something in the defense he really liked it's first and 10 ball on the 28 yd line yd line if anyone can force a turnover right now then it's the man at linebacker and he will score the wide receiver flew down the field on that touchdown connection but he has the speed to stretch coming with a heavy Blitz and guys were shooting through the line right into the back field that play didn't have a chance it's third down and 14 to go ball on their own 23 six DBS in the lineup he drops back steps up in the pocket he's in trouble throws this one out to the right that brings up a punting situation I'll tell you what this defense did a heck of a job that time to hold them to three and out 14 ball on the 23 yd number 38 is back to return and he's the same guy that already ran one all the way back number 38 signals for a fair catch thanks to some nice passing on the last Drive the offense was able to take it down the field for six and great play calling to help make that an easy Drive the question is can they do it again and they'll look to capitalize on the good field position [Applause] here Louisiana Monroe lines up in a shotgun set he's looking over the middle finds his receiver and he he's taken down nice decision by the quarterback Not only was it good decision-making but the offensive line protected just long enough for him to find his Target and when you combine the two it'll be a first down nine out of 10 [Applause] times first and 10 ball on the what scary is we're not even at halftime and he TS on the extra point and now we'll take a look at the Pontiac Drive summary number 13 ready to kick he kicks it number 22 takes from the 10 the offense gets ready to start a new drive as they just couldn't get anything going on their last possession going three and out they'll start this drive at the 26 yd line Y they come out in a nickel back to pass looks he rolls out to the left and he dropped it this incompletion is credited to the wide out absolutely a quarterback executed his end of the deal so it's second and 10 ball on the 26 yd line one man Back Field throws it to the outside incomplete pass the F BS incomplete number 11 the intended receiver on the play Third and 10 ball on the 26 y they'll bring in their dime packing he steps up looking he's going left in and out of his hand dropped by the wide out on the four and 10 ball on the 26 yd line the drive stalls and they'll have to putt it away didn't get all of that one and he two tight end steps up in the pocket complete and he's tackled he ran a good route there and was able to pick up yards underneath the coverage it's okay to move the ball in small portions because it spins and he is drilled he made a real nice play on that one I'll tell you what in today's game you have to have the ability to run the football give the quarterback a lot of credit he made a great play and really gave his team a boost Louisiana Monroe lines up with a shotgun set and the snap goes to the back brought down looks to have been shaken up a bit on that play well it doesn't look like it's too serious guys but you never know sometimes those small injuries turn into season ending ones let's see if they can take this one in for six gets a ball no they faked it short to another score touchdowns have just become a habit for this game well the defense better find a way to break that habit because there's still a lot of football left to be [Music] play and he hits the pat more the drive as they were forced into a three and out boy oh boy they had nothing going last time yeah maybe scooter you need to get out there and show them what you're made out of somebody get me a helmet quickly they'll go to work at the 31 yd line 31 yd line the Tigers line up in an eye formation and he's hit hard oh man he'll feel that one in the morning that's called making a statement when you get can do well here you see a combination of things his athletic ability his ability to amplifies and his speed accelerating by the defense keep this in mind guys he is capable of doing this every time and they make the stop so he got a few yards on that carry you know what guys if you can continue to pick up small chunks of yards like that you can really start to wear a defense down it's first and number eight it's one big sack party out there I feel sorry for this quarterback he's taking a bey he's been taking some serious hits all day long Le the coach might want to get him out of there before he gets hurt and 15 on the 43 number 83 is having the best special team performance I think I've ever seen but I don't think he's done yet folks number 15 punch it and he didn't kick that ball well at all number 83 takes it at the 47 time once again for this offense to come back out and start a another Drive excellent field position to start the drive at the 29 yd line first and 10 Jackson State and all their DBS in for this five wide set he's looking for his man off his hands incomplete what a close call for this defense you're absolutely right you're not going to see him dropped the ball like that too often what a break for the defense so it's second and 10 ball on the 29 yd line number eight lines up in the shotgun he drops back looks and they got him they brought the corner and he got the sack fellas yeah great call in this situation third third down and what they didn't want to get in ball on the 36 two tight end set drops back to pass looking once it all going deep it's dropped the tight end couldn't make the big catch there the and longall on the 36 ydd the Indians are up to punt it away number 13 gets it off number four calls for the fair catch they'll down the punt at the 4 yd line time once again for this offense to come back out and start another drive and they've got their work cut out for him on this drive they come out in a goal line set they keep it Drive well they had something going but were unable to get any points they'll set up shot at the 25 yd line they're down big so I guess that's why they're going to give the backup a shot they keep it on the ground with a tail back this guy just made those 10 yards look easy on the play [Applause] it's second and inches ball on their own 35 High formation here setting up the play action looks throws back across field and he can't make the catch a perfect pass but he didn't catch it he's got to look at his hands and try to find a hole where that one dropped out of third down less than a yard ball on the 35 yd line Jackson State winds up in a goal line set they'll try to get the first on the ground tackle and that one goes for a big big first down you know every time you run the ball successfully like that that defense starts to creep up a little bit that's when you go to the air my friend over the top it's first and 10 ball on the 45 yd line Y they line up in the shotgun nice play fake throws it to the outside incomplete and that pass Falls incomplete because it was deflected that's great defense right there Brad that's something the coaches always remind their players to do get a hand up in the face of the quarterback and 10 and this is the fifth play of the current Drive Number 10 with four wide receivers he gets another carry they'll bring him down they'll give him an inch or two if that no gain on the [Applause] play the defense will try to stop this third down as they were unsuccessful the first time on this drive Jackson State goes with the ace set here back
