Celtic Champions League 2024/2025 League Stage Reaction

what's going on people and welcome back to the channel so I thought i' do a quick reaction to Celtics Champions League draw uh outcomes and the teams that the parkhead club will face in the UFA Champions League this year the new format four games at home four games away to see if Celtic will actually show some ambition for once and actually try and do something in Europe these were the other teams that Celtic will come up against so the first team we've got RB livig at home Bundesliga side very good side they've sold a lot of players over the the last number of years you know L kungu um you know Abu Bano yes they've moved on those players but they're still very good side very good team in the Bundesliga Celtic and RB L have met before they've met in the Champions League under an I think Celtic lost to them both times under an we lost to them home and away the second game is we disappoint thought Celtic were in that game against them and then obviously Joe Hart made that mistake and cost us a game and under Brendon roders we played them before obviously we we knocked them out of the Europa League we beat them 2-1 at parkhead we lost to them away but we did beat them at Celtic Park kieri and oddson Edward with the two goals and we did go through with uh salsburg that year so yeah Celtic and RB leig will be a good game they've got history against one another very difficult game though against RB leig but it is a c past can happen but yeah they're a very good team we've got them at home our first away game is well first away game um one of our away games is against bruo Dortmund I don't think we played bruo Dortmund four in Europe I could be wrong very good team I think they're the best team in this in this whole section to be honest that we're going to play against I know people say Aston Villa who who I will get on to at the end from the Premier League but I think Bru dman of the best team we're going to play they've had good players I know they've lost V cre VR was a big player last season on their route to the final where they lost to Real Madrid they've had you know Bellingham they've had some really good players over the last number of years they've got an amazing atmosphere at um their Stadium you know very good Bundesliga side it' be an amazing game Celtic against going there to play against Bru Dortmund our fans and their fans the yellow wolf Dortmund you know the green and white of Celtic I think it' be a really really good game with brucia Dortmund but yeah looking forward to playing them um be very hard to get a result against M away but you never know um we've got Atlanta away um Atlanta the Europa League winners last season again a very good team from Sera obviously Celtic and Atlanta uh had the whole situation with Matt O'Reilly um obviously Atlanta really wanted O'Reilly but Celtic refused to sell him to Atlanta so there is a bit of background there with Atlanta is it going to give Cel an agenda possibly you know you know they're a very good team again it' be really tough to go there and get a result you know Atlanta have been in Europe consistently they've been in the Champions League you they don't they had a decent Champions League campaign a few years ago they're a very good side you know they won the Europa League last season no mugs um they're a very good team um you know but I think Celtics should be targeting to beat them to be honest you got Club buger at home um again another established team in the Champions League and European football in general from Belgium very good side uh can't be underestimated their no mugs they're always in Europe Club Ruger they're a very good team I think they had a really good campaign a few seasons back as well they no mugs but again you know Celtic got them at home Celtic should be targeting at least three points against them I think Celtic can beat Club buer they've got young boys at home you know young boys again an established team in the in European competitions very good team obviously Rangers played young boys a couple of seasons ago I think they lost to I think they beat Rangers I think it was 43 under Gerard when he was there I'm not sure but yeah young boys I again I another a new team Celtic will play against defin we play against them before I think we can beat them as well you know I think club buer and young boys at home I think we could easily get six points from that and win both those games I think they're on the same level as us think we should be targeting if the boards take this seriously which they should be because this is the best draw we could have got um I think we could easily take six points from that those two games dino Zagreb Croatian team played against s before under Ronnie dier I think we beat them at parkhead I think it was I'm not sure how we got them against them away I can't remember I think it was Chris commin got the goal against Dino Zagreb so we played against them before again lot the other two teams I think yes it's a away in Croatia that would be a very hostile atmosphere I think we can go there and beat them as well so that' be nine points for Celtic if they get a result against them Slovak Braava at home a team from Slovakia again that'll be a very hot hostile atmosphere I don't really know much about SL at brat slav I'm not disrespecting them or club buer or young boys or um Dino zarre I think Celtic should could easily be beaten all four of these teams I think Celtic can beat Bri slav at home I thought it was um the team that gon Sten lost 5 nil to when he was the set manager that time and Cel took him back to Celtic Park and they were very unlucky not to equal the ti take it to extra time Celtic won the return there 4-0 but obviously they still went out 54 accurate after that disaster in the first leg but yeah I think Celtic can beat them and then the final game is against Aston Villa you know battle Britain Aston Villa back in this they've won this tournament before excellent season last year uh unai M raay done an amazing job you know getting into the champions league is an amazing achievement you know they got really good players like dudas Louise Leon Bailey you know conza as well they got so many good players Aston Villa they're a very good team um yeah they're a very good side Martinez does Martin let's play for them as well um the Argentina goalkeeper obviously won the World Cup as well I think he plays them that'll be a really good game away at Villa Park a Battle of Britain as I said I lot when that play against your uh English clubs uh as will be favorites against us obviously but it'd be a really really good game but I think overall Celtic have a really good chance of getting through to the next stage of the Champions League it you know it's the best draw we could have got will the board take this seriously I bloody hope so obviously Alie Engles we are close to getting that sorted out you know 11 million um it's going to break the transfer record in Scotland obviously Ary Engles wants to come you know it's been agreed it took ages but Celtic look like going to get over line then Austin trustee looks like he'll be coming in from sheeld United on A6 million deal from the blade to parkhe head so looks like we're going to get a center back and Center midfielder obviously Sanchez as well the Swiss midfielder Celtic apparently putting a four million pound bid for him after the deal for um the chap from lafc failed um Celtic couldn't get that over the line no surprise there but they they're moving on to L of targets and Sanchez might come in but yeah hopefully we take this seriously I'm looking forward to some of these games you know some new opponents some old opponents we played before a mixture you know I don't really understand the whole process with the draw to be honest but I sort of got my head around it now after the draw is ended yeah four games at home four games away you know Celtic if you have any ambition you need to you know give this a real go because I think we could easily get through to the next round and know it sounds overconfident we might not win every single we might not win a game at all but but you know we'll have to wait and see but yeah um obviously when the transfers are complete obviously deadline is tomorrow how many players we start get in I think we're probably going to get in at least two maybe three at the most um maybe those supppr can get four or five in but I doubt it I think it'll probably be free maybe I think it'll be obviously Engles truste and I think maybe Sanchez might come in as well maybe L Luke Macau from d d maybe we'll make a late bid for him but we'll have to wait and see I'll do a reaction to that once once the window closes and once any deals are completed I will do a reaction to that but yeah that's that's my reaction to Champions League draw like I said I think Celtic andar real big chance if they take this seriously this new format I think the format has worked in cel's favor where normally it doesn't um you know we could have had worst draws we could have ended up with Real Madrid by LA because and Liverpool Inter Milan and all these other teams but we didn't so yeah hopefully the club take this seriously but we'll have to wait and see but yeah that's my reaction to the Champions League draw fixtures I think are going to be announced the dates and stuff times so on I think it's Saturday I think they said they'll announce it so yeah that's my reaction to that take care I'll let you guys
