"Boots on the Ground" Lauren Alaina 🇺🇸🇺🇸

wrote it wrote it like two or three weeks ago and um I played it at the Opera I played it twice at the Opera actually but my dad was in the Army and my grandfather actually everybody in my dad's side of the family's been in the Army um World War I World War II Vietnam and Desert Storm which was my dad and so I was raised with a great appreciation for the military and for the men and women that serve for us and I wanted to write a song I've always wanted to write a song to honor them men and my family and all of the men and women it it's really weird timing i' just I've been writing for the new record and I had this idea and I wrote it and then I realized the next day that I was playing aupra looks the troops um on the following Tuesday was like 4 days later so I played it and we've been posting it and um I don't know where it will exist in my career what what we're going to do with it or anything but I think it's an important message and it makes me proud to sing it so if you haven't heard it yet um this is boots on the [Music] ground down on the up my face ands up at the end of the barching his hand on his head set I swear all I Lu for the change we might be under the same wein same I myy green going out all night run straight into theight I can take a shot see bull I can raise hand he watch through it drinks my be but lame wouldn't my boots onings on the ground [Applause] all I got up my way just I for he said he do it all I wish to be my hero here tonight then I I on my up green going out all night he make me run straight into the I can take it sh see I can raise H walk drive through drinks my wouldn't my
