Jeff Bridges art design on being Grendel in the new upcoming Beowulf story

good morning everybody this is L Kenobi here and today we got an article that is yesterday and uh I did not realize this that they're going to try to get this to come out and it's titled here greno first look reviews creature designed for Jeet Bridges take on the legendary monster now greno is is is U is a character that was presented in the movie B wolf that Ray Winston that portrayed the character in an animated CGI movie and uh Angelia Jolie in it as the monster as the as the as the uh Godlike creature who had sex with him and created and they created a child that is all that can be known as a monster is a monster so any King that tries to have sex with a woman bearss a child of a disfigured monster and tends to try to take over the world but it looks like now the movie that is is coming is coming out is probably GNA it's going to probably titled grindle and it's just going to talk about the about the creature and uh Jeff Bridges is going to be is going to be cast as the creature while we have de Batista who's going to be uh known for as bolf so let's take a dive at this let me just first take this off piece there we go earlier this year we got word that a new new live action take on the tale of B wolf is in development with an all cast starcast on board we've seen a number of animated L and live action adaptations of the ancient Danish Legend over the years but this one will be a little different based on John Gardner's Acclaim novel greno will tell the story from the perspective of the monster with jet Bridges set to provide the voice of the tidal character and de Batista on board as the mighty warrior who comes to Danish King hor hargar's Hall to put an end to the creatures Rampage B rampage bolf now Claire has uniled our first look at the design for greno Courtesy of Jim Hon's Creature Shop this is really exciting because it also balances this very C cerebral world that grindle lives in where he's trying to understand humans and he's trying to find his place among them and he can never quite figure out how to get the right places in the get it get to the right PL get how to get the right pieces in the right order to be satisfied I think there there's something really interesting about that As you move through this there's a great warning in the way that greno engages with the world and I know Jeff Bridges and I have talked about that a lot the moral purpose of this and I think that it leaves the audience with something really meaningful to talk about when they leave a story like this this take on the character appears to be more influenced by later interpretations then the humanoid humanoid I I can't pronounce that name but I guess I'll put it Shadow Walker Shadow Walker described in the original tale so this is gwendle first look I don't know if I can oh no well this is from collider so let me go back out here interesting the cast also cudes Brian cres as kingar hgar Sam Elliot as the dragon Thomason McKenzie as Queen weo and Aden Turner as w t bone burett will also appear and provide original songs for the film P's Park pictures say set to launch sales at K's for the project which is described as the tale of the legendary monster at the heart of the bwolf epic poem who steps forth to tell the side of his of his riveting story ran Hansen and Vince will produce for the Jim Hanson company along with kosi kosi Jay gazler Dennis bar and John D Wagner Bridges with executive produce with John Scott Sals Tamar bmore and Joe Jen Jenis of Ashlin Hill Media Finance which will finance the movie Randa represents everything I love about the movies John Gardner's mad Masterpiece cleverly tackles what is to be human through the wild eye lens of a monster said car Grizzy K kosi when the project was announced it's in honor to work with such a remarkable group of storytellers all of whom set seek to bring something one wonderful and unexpected to the audience is now arguably the best known take of this story is the 2007 anime adaptation starring won and Angel J you can check out the trailer below so this is the trailer for it which that's the old movie so grandle is a 1971 novel by the American author John Gardner is a retell telling of part of the Old English poem bearwolf from the perspective of the antagonist greno in the novel greno is portrayed as an anti-hero the novel deals with finding meaning in the world the power of literature and myth and the nature of Good and Evil H yeah so I mean it is a different take of it so we'll see how this looks we'll see if um we'll see how this comes out and I'm sure they'll probably bring more to this we'll see what we go with it so um that's going to be it for the article so if you like the video hit the like button share this video post the comment below let me know what your thoughts about this and if you're new to the Channel please please hit that subscribe button for me all right you guys you guys I'll see you guys around later
