[Music] we're going to bring up cam Acres now because is this a thing getting a lot of reps at running back for the Texans on Saturday uh we have to remember Damen Pierce who has broken probably a lot of Hearts but is is Cam Acres a thing I think he potentially could be just because of the struggles of Damen Pierce Damen Pierce basically lost the starting job last year he's been he has struggled mightily so far in the preseason he's just not a really good fit for the kind of offense running offense that they run in Houston and so I don't think cam acres is any good but it doesn't look like Damen Pierce is either so it's potentially a thing you know it's potentially a thing that cam Acres could usurp uh Damen Pierce as the number two behind Joe Mixon but again it just sort of further underscores my belief that Joe Mixon is vastly underrated because again it's not going to be pretty it's not going to be efficient it's not going to make any of uh you know it's not going to make you know the Dwayne McFarland the world go oh look at all these underlying metrics because they're all going to be terrible uh but the one metric that matters is he's gonna get a lot of work he's gonna get a ton of work and so uh I do think Jo Joe Mixon is um uh important and that you know if something were to happen to them then whoever the insurance back is becomes important so you know if Cam ACR overtakes Damen Pierce for that he's definitely on the late round fantasy radar as a sleeper or flyer makers a thing I think it is a thing right because Damen Pierce last year had a crack to be the lead running back in this offense they had drafted him relatively High had a pretty good rookie season the team wanted him to be their guy and they were quick to move on from him they said sorry Damien you do not have it right now Devin single ter this veteran journey man gives us our best chance to win games and they were unemotional about that decision we've seen franchises who want to save face they double down they are you know are stuck about it this isn't an organization so far that has been stubborn about running backs not performing so if this just continues to happen for Damen Pierce why wouldn't we think cam Acres could Vault ahead we just saw it with Deon single ter the year previously so yeah this is a situation to monitor because having the clear number two as like a late round pick is R is really valuable I agree I think Joe Mixon as long as he's healthy is going to have a great year but if he were to get injured or if he were to be really inefficient I want to know who that next man office
