College Football: Rutgers University vs Howard University

just a team it's the Legacy strong for the all for the glory we going to carry what's going on everyone what's going on what's going on it's coach Ed here ready to do it for the r bringing you the first football game of the year 2024 season for Ruckers University uh they're taking on Howard University so uh it's going to be a crossover uh Ruckers of the Big 10 and Howard of the me uh also of the FCS level but uh it should be a interesting uh game and it's probably going to be a little bit more closer than most people are are expecting so uh I'm going to take you guys right up until uh kickoff uh uh game is actually on BTN looks like it's going to be kicking off roughly in about uh 12 13 um minutes but um Ruckers let out its injur report so U that was actually released earlier today and as you can see um there's going to be some in-depth um there's going to be some players key players on there that's on the report uh I'm going to go over that real quick but before I do that let me tap into the stream uh salute Eman I really appreciate you guys uh being here tapping in Bruce Harper thank you for being here Mitch uh the point guard of the hardcore Sports Network thank you some key players who are on this report and if we go over the out program uh muhamad té starting linebacker is out for the season AJ SAS uh is a uh freshman true freshman quarterback highly recruited ref freshman quarterback but he's out for today recovering from an injury uh free safety Michael Dixon uh everyone knows him as flip Dixon he's out for today defensive back Al Shah Shadi Salam he's out freshman running back Eddie Guerrera um starting defensive end Wesley Bailey is out DK Gilly is out linebacker Sam Poff is out uh defensive tackle Troy rainy he's the backup nose guard he's out and Amir stanet now questionable is going to be cornerback uh Eric Rogers he's the starting quarterback uh opposite uh uh of longer Bean slot receiver Christian dremo um safety uh Jesse orrey running back Jan Benjamin uh he's the third stream running back Ty Tyne Powell he's would be the start the star in line uh linebacker inside linebacker defensive back Timmy Ward nose guard Kean Hamilton right tackle Tyler naham offensive lineman uh Reggie Sutton uh starting defensive end Aaron Lewis Dante chin and um Dino cak Manis so it's an extensive list it's something that you know is going to be a little concerning with what's going on but again Ruckers does have the depth in the talent uh to be able to handle uh Howard but it's not going to be an easy one last year Howard actually lost to Northwestern also of the Big 10 they lost 23 to10 so and that was early in the season so the ruers cannot take Howard lightly uh they have to come out they have to step on them quickly um so that way um you know you can continue to develop a lot of the younger guys there's going to be quite a few young guys who are also playing so um you know it's something I'm going to keep an eye on what's up ghost do thanks for being here man you know I really appreciate yeah let's go Ru baby let's go so Blaze thank you man really appreciate it that's right I'm doing it for the r coach I know you got so you yeah give me a little rockim there you go there you go those of you who don't know yet I'm a big rock him fan so you know I'm definitely ready to get paid in full paid in full so appreciate that Blaze so um but again uh it it you can't take Howard lightly um I'm going to go over Rucker's debt chart right now so you guys can take a look and you're going to see um exactly where I'm talking about in terms of some of the key players who are out so um if you look at the uh here we go all right here we go start this the starters player number one diir Miller Ian Strong and Christian Dremel are your key uh starters at the wide receiver Dremel is on that um on that uh availability report your offensive lineman left tackle Holland Pierce left guard U Brian felter Center is Gus linkis Right Guard is uh kbe asamoa and the right tackle is Tyler nidam who's also on the report tight end is Kenny Fletcher quarterback is a Ki Manis and running back is a uh K manungi defensively you have your ends Wesley Bailey who's out and Aaron Woods who's questionable keonte Hamilton who's also questionable uh I believe he was question or was he out let me double check that sorry about let me pull it back up uh he's questionable so um that's actually um tro rainy who's out okay the backup um um Malcolm Ray uh transfer he's um your three Tech you have your linebacker um Moses Walker and tomen pal who's is one quarterback Eric Rogers is the other who's questionable uhan loyal flip Dixon as we saw is already out and Desmond Igman noon so behind flick you got a freshman Kai Sanders so he's definitely going to be um have to step up and it's going to be an interesting one for him to um being that starting lineup so uh we'll be going over the um I'll have the the lineups as we continue to go uh throughout the night so um so uh what you say flip Dixon pause my bad this is no pause exactly this is a no pause Zone uh Blaze uh so you know I I definitely speak and give you exactly what I what I what I what I feel so um but again uh let me go ahead and pull up the here it is okay I have it right here I'm going to give you a little insight into um Howard so you guys can see hey exactly uh a little opponent preview um taking a look at the uh Howard offense this is from last year their head coach is actually their offensive coordinator uh last year they average 28.5 Point uh 28 and a half points per game let me close out let me pause this video okay um uh in terms of yards per game it was uh 367.8 yards per game uh passing was 194. 7 195 yards per game rushing was 173 defensively um their coordinator is Troy Douglas uh they average 23 three 24 points a game uh the um yards allowed per game was 320 uh passing was 143 and the rush yards was 176 now all time against Ruckers they're they're 0 and three so Ruckers does have the uh advantage in in in in the winds against uh Howard so but again Howard finished six and six last year so um they did um make the um a bowl game uh at their level where they lost to Florida A&M but again they're a team that Ruckers cannot take lightly uh tonight they have to come out and you know they have to jump on them quickly you know this will allow Ruckers to play a lot of their younger players because they have you know um good talented young players you know who are on who are on the bench so um but again uh I'm excited for this game you know I've been been ready for it especially with the new Big 10 there's a lot going on in the Big 10 with the addition of um uh Howard I'm sorry with the addition of Oregon Washington uh USC and UCLA so um let me go ahead and get this on but again it's going to be interesting uh as an interesting season Ruckers actually plays uh three of those teams they play u u USC they travel to USC this year and they host uh UCLA as well as um uh Washington so those are the teams that they're going to be hosting this year so GNA have the scoreboard up and I have it ready for us so um but again game is actually on for those of you who want to hear the sound of the game it's on BTN I don't think you should you should rock with me but you can have the video on uh but yeah that's the uh where it's um going to be um shown on TV BTN um so you know I believe uh Matt Millan is one of the commentators anybody in Ruckers uh land we can't stand that millerman um he's a very uh there are moments where he's supportive of Ruckers but a lot of times because he's a Penn State grad it just seems like he's coming down harshly on Ruckers so um but hey it is what it is I love it you know makes uh gives a r a little semblance of a rivalry so right now on BTM they're showing record walking down um the rampway to uh enter the field and everyone is just basically waiting uh if you've ever been to a ruers game and come out of the tunnel um um music blaring uh smoke uh flaring and you have the uh Prep Prep Squad running out with all the flags so Coo's there we're in a uh uh black with the black red black R and um khakis long khaki pants um but again you have the football team there uh showing uh Brian felter left guard um one of the captains and here they come Ruckers is heading out onto the field let's go Ruckers let's chop so um don't know how many are in attendance at the game but you know what it's fine it's fine uh I get it you know early season you know plus you have you know students filling out there you know this the school you're just getting on to campus um between New Brunswick Piscataway for those you don't know uh the main Ruckers University campus uh covers two townships New Brunswick and uh Piscataway um yes Jason Horowitz and Matt Millan who's going to be covering the game um but again the sports program access really is on the Piscataway campus but you know the main classes a lot of the main classes is in New Brunswick so you hear me from time to time reference New Brunswick or Piscataway don't get confused it's still the same area they're literally one side of the road in a sense one side is PC or one side of the river sorry there's a river that separates the I lived in the area for for many many years so you know it I I know it all so um but again um really excited about this right here you know Ruckers got aan cik Manis going through his warm-up drill um he's going to be key you know he came over from Minnesota um to be the quarterback uh here at Ruckers um his old offensive coordinator is the offensive coordinator uh Kirk saraka he's the offensive coordinator here at Ruckers uh did a good job last year um due the year um had the leading rusher in k manonga guy 1,262 yards um you know had a quarterback who was limited he was more of a running quarterback um his accuracy definitely uh it was it left a lot of question you know in terms of the accuracy CI Manis while he is not one of the top quarters I'm not going to sit here and tell you he's going to be a firstr draft pick um but he is a lot more accurate than um Gavin whimet was last year uh Gavin was his accuracy was roughly around 48% uh and cik Manis um I believe he's at about 56% so um there's a big difference there so uh they have Tyne pow in uniform so uh looks like he is going to go ahead and play you know there was questions about him playing because uh he was recovering from an Achilles uh injury from back in January but looks like he's recovered well and the other looks like the linebacker who's going to be starting today let me just double check that um the other linebacker is going to be Dariel jum um looks like he's going to be starting as the other linebacker there so um but uh definitely excited definitely ready um looks like um I don't know which unit uh was sent out it looks like it's going to be the return is it the return unit yeah look looks like Ruckers will be receiving the ball first so um you have the return unit out there um let me see who's back and you have number two for Ruckers back in terms of the return game so you got Christian drem oh no that's not Christian Dremel that's number two and Howard is coming out on the field uh Ruckers is in their uh Scarlet helmets their Scarlet jerse J um and white pants uh the red BL R is on their right leg and Howard is coming out in their white jerseys Ruckers numerals are white on their jerseys Howard is a white jersey uh with uh blue numbers uh silver helmets and Sil silver or grayish helmets and silver and grayish pants uh ball is is lined up for Howard uh ready to be kicked off and and it's uh kicker is going to be uh White for Howard uh so uh you have it lined up there for um for Howard and we're now waiting and he's approaching the ball and the ball's away it's in the air and it is fielded at around the 10 yard line for for Ruckers and tackled at about the 26 27 yd line so so um decent return roughly of about 17 yards um so Ruckers will have it first and 10 at about their own 27 yard line looks like it'll be at their right hash mark um starting quarterback will be as I said uh aan cak Manis uh he's coming out and um showing a little preview of him of how when he was with um Minnesota but now he's lined up um and we're 10 seconds left on the play clock uh you have um KY manangi to his left and the ball is snapped and there's a quick out and the pass is to is that to Ian looks like that was to Ian Strong as the receiver let me double check that's Ian Strong so yeah Ian Strong number nine um is the um with the reception uh looks like it went for about 11 yards so it is now first and 10 uh inside handoff to um K manangi and pickup of about 11 yards um I know my screen just went out um but that's perfectly fine I'll still keep you update on what's going on with the score um but it was in inside zone Great block by the offensive line good tackle by the free safety otherwise mananga would have been gone so um but it'll be oh they have't they only gave him nine yards so it's second and looks like it's about second and one uh 14 seconds on the play clock and oh it is first and 10 I thought it was okay so it's first and 10 from about the 49 yd line for Ruckers uh quick um C Manis looking and and he's dumping it off he had plenty of time so he was couldn't find anyone Flo to his left and just pass the ball out of bounds so uh it'll be second and 10 for Ruckers when we come back to the line of scrimmage it'll be k nungai d Miller INR strong Chris reml and Kenny Fletcher as your skill guys um uh starting offensive line um was what we broke down earlier so Ruckers is at the midpoint of the field three by one um and manun guy is to the left of um ccmis uh nine seconds ball is snapped inside run uh for a Hamilton I'm sorry for manangi looks like he picked up about five yards so it'll be third down for Ruckers so um but they have cross over the Midfield um right now I would anticipate um yeah backside uh we didn't get the seal so uh quick Tempo passes on the the run and ball went through Ian Strong's hand he was he was open it would have been a big gain from CI man is to Ian Strong but um Ball's it's incomplete and right now rers looks like they're going to punt so their first offensive series did move um a little bit cross over to Midfield but um looks like it's going to end up being a punt for Ruckers so um it's going to be that's a tough right there for for Ruckers you know because they were moving the ball so looks like it's going to be Jacob Anderson who's going to be so Ruckers took the took a timeout so um I guess they're going to rethink um whether they're going to go for it or um they're going to punt so um I don't know what it is but we're in a commercial break so that's a tough that's a tough Series right there a tough drive for Ruckers so um you see right there you know f rush yards 15 pass yards total um CI Manis is one of3 for 15 yards so you have to respect Howard for what they what they did defensively they bent but they did not break so um but again it's going to be a fourth and about five when we come back from the timeout um again Ruckers took a timeout chano's trying to I guess rethink it or adjust something on his um uh punt coverage uh punt coverage team so so um I'm thinking that they're going to go for it you know because you have to in in this regard you're the bigger you're the stronger you're the better team your offense is moving your offensive line is giving C Manis time uh to sit back there in the pocket and scan the field literally he's going from one through five most quarterbacks you'll get one through three in terms of scanning the field I'm watching him and he's looking from left to right going back to left um especially on the one where he floated to the left and he couldn't find anyone uh so now the receivers have to do a better job you know Ethan strong you had that opportunity uh you would have had a big game deep into Howard territory so you have to capitalize so but right now um for the most part you know you're picking up good yardage on your run uh Run play so um maybe he's thinking that you know what we can out physical them at the point of attack and let's see if we can get this five yards in the Run game worst case scenario um you you turn it over uh they're still in their territory and then your defense will come out and you've had one of the top defenses in the country last year so um you know even with key guys out you're definitely going to be uh able to handle um the the play uh you feel Ruckers can make a ball Game yes so I'm anticipating them to making a ball game uh uh Iman yes um Colorado was playing tonight they have a 8:00 kickoff against um North Dakota State so it's going to be a tough test North Dakota state is a tough team in the FCS level um they've won many championships at that level they've sent plenty of players to the NFL matter of fact the New York Giants have a kid I I believe it's Rogers who's from uh them so but now we're back and uh looks like he is going is he going to punt yeah he's going to punt he's lining up um um to line up for the punt what's up Jacob thanks for being here man I really appreciate I'm doing well excited for watching my boys at Ruckers so um but like I said and Jacob is lined up to punt and oh it's a fourth and six so they only got four yards previously one two three one two three no it's five yards one two three four five it's Fourth and five I knew I wasn't crazy I knew can spot things very well so Ruckers is lined up uh in the punt U punt um coverage formation ball is snapped and rugby style kick ball is up in the way and down to the 10 yard line so I was recovered by uh fielded by Howard around the 10 yard line so uh but this is going to be a good opportunity to see Rucker defense you know how they do you want to pin them deep that's exactly what what you want to do and you know you if you can get a three and out you're still going to be able to play in in a short field in a sense uh coach you're glitching um yeah I know um I just didn't want to step out right now and come back because um I'm on the on the Jan scrin is the quarterback but I'm on the you know with the game going on I don't want you guys to miss any of my action my face you don't have to worry about that so the rord is lined up in the Forefront and there's the uh attempt of the outside Zone and there's a tackle on the play by uh jaom so it's going to be a second it should be a second and 10 for uh Howard so uh good job good job by the front line keeping him off might be a second and nine if you give him a yard so um yeah second and nine Howard is in the gun shotgun one by three U motion of tight end across um Ruckers is showing an eight-man box uh fake down uh the the to the running back split Zone pass to the tight ends coming across and looks like he was tackled after a pickup of about five yards so it might be about a third and four so impact players for Howard Jared Hunter running back Eden James running back and of course Aaron Lewis as a defensive end and Robert longing as a quarterback so it's a third and five for um Howard uh they're at the 15 yd line so um it's a third down for Ruckers um and ball is snapped uh quarterback Reed and ah he got away and looks like he picked up about uh seven yards so good play by good call by Howard um you know guys were not fundamentally uh sound I read the defensive end Aaron lwis who you know broke free uh followed the the running back and um that that's okay they that that was his responsibility linebacker did not feel on the backside the way he was supposed to properly read so um motion uh with the uh Wing back and looks like he picked up about four yards Hawthorne is the Run Wing back for Howard um Lewis Hamilton Ray and Jordan Thompson are the defensive line Moses Walker and jom so um Tyne didn't start longer Bean Rogers loyal Sanders and osen are the defensive back so um you're going to line up right now looks like it's a second and seven uh Howard is under the gun play action um here's the pressure pass away and it's overthrown good pressure by Aaron Lewis uh beat the offensive linan was barreling down on the quarterback and forced a High Pass um on the play so uh good job uh by Lewis a good good clean hit um you know he got the pass off but uh he was there and looks like Malcolm Ray a transferred from Florida state from where they getting the hit on the quarterback so it's going to be a third and seven uh 15 seconds left on the play clock uh you have a two by two split running back is motioning out and they're going to run a quarterback uh draw good good call good call um because when he motioned out uh it cleared the middle of the field um so no linebackers were there so um you know uh you have to in a sense you have to do a better job in terms of your responsibilities and your calls so um play back to action and it's a quick uh wide receiver screen smoke screen to the outside uh Howard is moving the ball on Ruckers now you know as I said before you know Ruckers can't take them lightly they cannot take them lightly so um Howard is getting into a nice little rhythm um moving the ball um down the field they're in Ruckers territory right now as we as we speak so um it's going to be a second and seven sorry they're not they're at the 47 yard line um same same play going the opposite way and tackle for loss by shaan loyel looks like it's a loss of about one yard so they tried to do the wide receiver screen going to the left and uh loyo was right there on the play to uh bring um Azria down um for a loss on the play so um good job again by U the defense um looks like there's going to be around the 46 yard line so um okay they gave him no yet no G no loss so third and seven uh at the 47 yd line uh Howard is in the Set uh two to the left three to the right uh they're making an adjustment play a adjustment check and uh the play clock uh Howard had to take a timeout because it was down uh they were down so uh it was down to one when they took the timeout so um uh right now it'll be a third and seven nine minutes and two seconds left in the first quarter uh each team has taken one timeout so each team has two timeouts left again like I said Howard has a third and seven at about their 47 yd line so Ruckers what are you going to do um to you know sty me sty their movement their drive you can't let them get this first down right now Ruckers um you've already forced it to the point where they have the opportunity to flip the field um so if you stop them here depending on where it is you know a punt will probably put you you know put you around your 20 yard line maybe your 15 give or take so uh Ruckers have to step up now I do think there's some nerves you know you have some guys who you know it's their first time player especially at the linebacker level first time starting so again you know there's going to be those mistakes there those are things that you can clean up you know as the game goes along and the guys can get better but you know they're they're very athletic they're there you know for the most part you know just like I said just have to clean up some things along the along the way but when we come back to action you know does Rucker bring the blitz you know do they bring the pressure right now to force Howard to get the ball out of their hands quickly or do you do you trust that your your your key players on the front line can push the pocket and collapse it and and you can play coverage so that's going to be the thing that I'm going to watch right now when we come back to action you know do they bring the pressure or do they play in coverage so and then as far as Howard what do you do you know do you try to to move the ball quickly uh do you try to get the ball the quarterback's hands quickly and see if you can get a short yardage situation um because you have nothing to lose you have everything to gain so you know that's that's what I'm going to be watching uh right when we come back you know what I have a second I'm GNA drop out I'll be right back okay so I'm back and looks like you can see my beautiful face so um uh right now get back to the share screen so you guys can see the scoreboard all right um I gave you my breakdown on what I'm expecting in terms of this next series um also if you ever go to a Ruckers game they have the boardwalk there so but again we're lined up it's a empty set 2 by3 um Ruckers looks like they're showing pressure U but they're dropping in coverage and my and it's a pickoff interception by Eric Rogers and my screen is freezing and he's down the sideline and is it a touchdown is it a touchdown it is a touchdown for Ruckers so Ruckers right now has uh with an interception pick six that's a big thing for this defense like I said um where they showed pressure and they dropped into coverage and with that being said that allowed them to uh get into a position to um make a play on the football so um right now it looks like it's a six nothing Eric Rogers with a big play uh just don't know how many yards it was they're lining up for the extra point uh Jay Patel um is lining up to kick the extra point the officials are holding them down I guess they're checking to um see if he stepped out of bounds so um play clock I'm not going to pay attention to that right now the Ruckers right now has the early six nothing lead uh the touchdown is good so Ruckers is up 6 nothing uh Patel is lining up for the extra point kick and the ball is down and it's up and it is true so Ruckers takes the early lead uh as I said six nothing over I'm sorry seven nothing over Howard so so uh that was a big uh play right there2 yard interception return for the score so um so uh good job good read um Eric did a a great job in playing his responsibility um playing his coverage because it looks like it was a twom man uh that means two safeties deep with um uh with man underneath and he was just over the top he was errant throw by the quarterback um so um and it would just fell right into his hands so and again good job return um teammates did a good job of you know giving him a blocking Lane just right down the sideline so uh Howard um Ruckers is now up seven nothing on Howard so Ruckers jumps out to the early lead on Howard so uh but a good good job there now again you know Howard is past yards is uh let me just make sure we have the right yeah it's how okay yeah um eight pass yards 29 rush yards while Ruckers is 12 and 14 conversely so um but uh Ruckers is lining up to kick the ball off for the for the kickoff so what's good nyg thanks for tapping in ball is away and the ball is gonna be a Touchback as he drops into the end zone man thanks for tapping in bro I really appreciate you man again Ruckers is up seven nothing on Howard right now um defensively they did uh exactly what they needed to do Ruckers overall with the uh SI overall with Ruckers um has a 48% winning percentage you know this second Venture um dropped him down but uh he's slowly working it back it's not like it's a crazy differential so um Manis is just still on the sideline warming up hey that's what happens when you have a good defense and an opportunistic defense you know those times you you you you can you know um capitalize you can create turnovers so let's see what Ruckers did and what type of adjustment so uh inside Zone uh great blocking by Howard uh good run by their running back looks like he picked up about uh 12 yards so um that backside he cut right back to the backside and it was good seal there so a good double team split Zone uh linebackers needed to do a better job that's the play right there that's what happens when you have young linebackers you know with young linebackers you know they don't they don't feel they don't read properly or they're a little bit too antsy so Howard is lined up they're motioning across with their tight ends um motion a lot of movement so they're doing a screen good call by Howard right there um you know brusk is being overly aggressive and looks like he picked up about seven yards so they did a lot of movement movement going to their right getting the defense to read that and attack that and they did the running back screen um by running back James so pick up of about six yards just at second and four so um but again like I said Ruckers has young linebackers so they need to do a better job at the linebacker dep um they're motioning their tight ends across again Double Wing to the right split Zone uh inside run and woo stall stop right there uh good hit it looks like that was Malcolm Ray hit him right at the point of attack look like he picked up a yard Malcolm Ray and Thompson uh on the on the tackle so uh it's Jordan Thompson from parsipany New Jersey so there going to be a third down for Howard um I just want to see the down distance is it a third and two or a third and three uh um but um 16 seconds on the play clock and it's third and two for Howard so um oh plao burst is there at the game that's interesting and looks like the first penalty of the game um I think the right tackle um false start um it's yeah false start against Howard and it's going to be moving back five yards it'll be a third and seven so um uh let's see what happens there so but yeah I saw that plal burst is there showing someone else uh I don't know who that U person is um but yeah I saw plastical burst there on on the sideline former Super Bowl winning player with the New York football giant so uh he is on the Howard sideline though so but again it should be a third and seven uh for Howard uh Ruckus is putting penetrate uh penetrating and good pressure right in his face and um pass was overthrown and out of bounds and Howard now is going to have to punt so um uh it's going to be a fourth and seven for um for Howard on this on this play right here so just make sure like I said you hit the like the punt they're punting from their 38 yard line and the ball is away and the ball is fielded at about the 18 17 18 yard line for Ruckers so that's a good punt um looks like it was Christian dremo uh he was wearing number 85 no name on the back so if you see that that let you know that they just put a jersey over the top so uh Ruckers will have the ball first and 10 um deep in their territory uh inside their 20 so right now Ruckers has to has to um move no um I know Pat that's the thought but Ruckers has a lot of key players that are out tonight um you know uh several key starters on the defense and and as well as and you have a lot of questionable guys uh you have young guys who are starting at the linebacker level um because um you're out um two of your key all big 10 linebackers so um so it's going to be a different Howard is moving the ball but again it's early they've only had two series U they have thrown a pick six uh so Ruckers has you know they're doing what they need to do defensively they just need to clean up some things which is why they're up seven nothing they did move the ball offensively um but they were forced to punt uh so um did have a drop pass so um but you know there were no negative plays um offensively so um this series I want to see what they're going to do um because again like I said Howard has pretty much had the ball for the most part in the first quarter um you know part of that is a pick six that's the reason why um so again uh yeah K Manan guy is playing today so he's doing a good job um in terms of um the the Run let me see uh Kyle has two carries for 14 yards so you know as you see again they haven't had that many plays so uh C bis is one of one of three for two yards and then Ian Strong has the the receiving yard so um but um that's that's it for ruer stats offensively so um if we look at Howard though U they starting quarterback scrin 47 14 yards interception uh joerger has 0 for one um they have scrin of two of 26 that's their quarterback so yeah they they they definitely are moving the ball but I think the defense will clean up so um defensively for them their key players are safety Kenny Galla Jr and Jamal Stewart um defensive tackle and of course you have M manangi and diir Miller uh who had uh 12 uh 1200 1,293 yards receiving yards at Mammoth last year which led all of the FCS level so um but again uh Ruckers was lined up first and 10 at their 17 yard line two by two uh inside zone for um Kyle um I don't know why C Manis did not keep the ball the defensive end played mananga he had the alley um but he picked up two yards there so um looks like there's going to be a second and eight for Ruckers that's the thing that I don't like with um the running back uh quarterbacks Ruckers a lot of times even last year quarterback would have the outside and they still let the running back take the ball so line up in 3 by one uh Second and eight uh inside R to um Kyle big run for Kyle on that play looks like he uh got the ball out to about the 36 yard line so um that looks like it's about a 20 yard gain I would say um so 5 10 15 yeah it's about a 22 yard run right there by Kyle so the front line is doing exactly what they need to do offensively they're they're maing them you know and if I'm saraka that's what I'm going to do I'm just going to start running the ball right now you know not do anything too crazy um so Ruckers is lined up at two by two with a wing um manangi to the right he's dropping down to with a pass good pass though um and that looks like he went to deir Miller looks like he picked up about nine yards on the play so it should be a second and one if not a a first and 10 so a good job by CI Manis got the ball to his playmaker you know that that nothing too crazy nothing too Dynamic so um they did give him the first down so it's a first and 10 Ruckers is at their 45 yd line uh they're in a uh one by3 Double Wing to the right uh mananga is to the left of CI Manis this should be a run so uh play action good block by uh manangi and incomplete pass to Ian Strong coming across from CI Manis so um that's going to be set it up for a second and 10 but kangi one thing that I will say about him as a running back um NFL teams are going to love him he's great at picking up the blitz so thank you thank you about that that's right hit the hit the like button uh for coach Ed for the big blue crew Sports Network so rers now um Second and 10 one by three on the left half uh inside uh inside run for to manangi and it looks like he picked up uh maybe a half a yard so good job by Howard on that play um so it'll be a third and long for Ruckers so um you know right now the offense has to do a better job at capitalizing and executing especially on those third long down plays going back to the first down pass pass because you did have in strong Crossing maybe you could have waited a step longer so right now one by three by Ruckers running back to the left of the quarterback and the ball is snapped C Manis is back he's getting no pressure ball right to Kenny Fletcher for a pickup of about 11 yards should be down to the Howard 44 yard line so um definitely liking the movement C Manis is taking what the defense is giving him so uh good job good job of sitting in the pocket reading the defense this is what a veteran quarterback should do against an opponent like this and the offensive line great job of passing off up front yeah Mosley thanks for tapping in man I appreciate you one by three by Ruckers on the left Center um marking uh manangi to the right and inside Zone oh no play RPO um RPO pass incomplete on on the play um to I couldn't see who it is uh and that's uh Chris Long number three um so uh looks like he hit him in the hand so it's going to be a second and 10 I am start I really do like the the calls that coach coach Rocka is calling he's doing a good job uh offensive line really did get the get the movement going that hit long in his hands it should have been a first down so so here we go uh inside run C Manis with I like I said before on on the quarterback read uh defense jumped on to kangai he pulled the Rock and looks like he picked up about uh eight n nine yards so that's exactly what you need him to do so and it it's that it's that Purdue I'm sorry that um wake Force type of hold it's a third and one right now for Ruckers um they're in at the right center hash 3 by one Howard is loading the box and there you go with manangi and looks like he picks up of about six yards so uh should it's going to be another first down uh for Ruckers no it's actually going to be five yards that they picked up so uh thank you Dan you Barry for tapping in man really appreciate you uh so uh good job by U the offensive line and Kyle to pick up the first down so it's first and 10 for Ruckers so uh let's see there's 204 left in the quarter uh they're at the 30 yard line of Howard they're a tight bunch one by three by one and let's see here's the snap and there's the run to Sam Brown he breaks the tackle and he's hit down by two guys and looks like he's going to pick up about four yards so good job of uh Sam Brown um with the with the carry ruers is doing a good job they're moving the ball they're being very methodical they're doing what they need to do um and and Coach Shaka basically what he's saying he's just going to he's not going to go crazy he's not looking to run the score up he's just looking to play Rucker brand of football offensively so um should be they're at the uh 26 yd line of Howard um they're checking out of their play uh 7 seconds on the play clock um two by two with a wing to the right and it's a inside run to Sam Brown and looks like he picks up about three yards uh so good job by Howard uh but it's going to be it should be a third and three so if you're in a third and three no matter what you're putting yourself in a good position to uh two plays to pick up three yards so um that's a good job the game is on the Big 10 Network that's where I'm watching it mostly BTN so um actually it's a third and four so they only gave him three yards on that play so um but again Ruckers is on the right hash uh they're in a a heavy Double Wing um and motion across and they're going inside Zone to manungi looks like he picks up about three yards so they're going to be short on the play so um you're going for it or are they going to give him fourth and inches no matter what you I'm going for it if I'm Ruckers I'm going for it you have to do this you have to send a strong message so and that should be the end end of the first quarter so at the end of the first quarter Ruckus is up on Howard seven to nothing so um again you know some people may be wondering you know why isn't Ruckers up big on this um they're out a lot of key players um I went over that during the pregame show um there's quite a few uh key players who are out um like flip Dixon who's their starting free safety um so uh it's kind of tough you know and again it's your first game you know but again when you have muhamed t out for the season flip Dixon Al Shahid Salam who's a key player Wesley B Bailey starting defensive um and uh Troy rainy who's a um key def interior defensive lineman so um it's it's going to be a fight for Ruckers right now and then offensively um you're you're you know you're taking your time you're not trying to run the score up you're taking what the defense is giving you offensively Cali man is there's been a couple of drops um that should help that would have helped him a little bit more but um again I think Ruckers will continue to work and grow in terms of this game so uh what's good man K thanks for being here thank you again for showing the they're trying to do you know offensively um they're moving the ball uh let's take a look at the stats here you know to see you know overall I mean total yards in two series 88 yards you know 32 yards rushing 56 passing um CI Manis is three wait a minute I'm sorry 56 rushian 32 passing Ki Manis is three of seven 32 yards two of those are drops so and one he rolled to the left and threw it out of bound so he's doing he's doing a good job you have uh kman young seven carries 41 yards with a long of 15 I'm sorry K got c aan c Manis is rushing one carry nine yards Sam Brown uh Two Carries six yards so uh Ruckers is doing exactly what they need to do in this game so um um yeah no I understand aru um if I could I would have um watched that game if not stream it um man cave is actually streaming that game later tonight so you can tap in with him and he's um um is this the game of the night um hey the way they're playing it could be so um but manave is definitely covering um the Colorado game for the big blue Crew sports network so you can tap in with manave ar manave aru um to watch the game along get the watch along with him so uh right now we're waiting for um referees are stopping holding things up right now and I think we're in a heavy yeah you're in a heavy um double tight with a wing to the right one receiver Flex left going in motion and they Blitz good job by Howard they Blitz on that play and they stop running ERS um I saw the safety coming down uh good job up front U from maintaining leverage not letting ruers offensive line get a get a big push and the safety came through the Gap and he made the play in the back field so um you know and he he read the Run he went he he forced Kyle to have to come out of thatle because that's where he was running uh he was the the safety Blitz right into that hole so good job by by Howard turnover on Downs um going uh turnover on Downs for Ruckers ball going over to Howard so um uh so let's see just make a Koso making a little note of that uh Howard takes over at about their own 21 yard line yeah they're at their 21 yard line so um good job inside run and a tackle for loss for uh the defense so uh looks like it was that was that Lewis or was that the can't see who it was who made the tackle um but again good job by the defense uh forcing a second down and you had yeah you had um good job by the defense there so um looks like a loss of about two yards it's second and 12 uh for uh for Howard at their own looks like their own 19 yard line so uh good job by the defense and what you need to do quarterback draw and I don't understand how they're not reading that I'm re okay I coach has to do a good job of getting these young linebackers to read what's going on that's what Howard is going to do they know that they can't do what they need to do you have a backside poll uh and the linebackers are not flowing with that they're not flowing with it they're not reading it I'm reading it watching this game live action so uh but that's young linebackers you know when you don't have your veteran linebackers in there it hurts you and it's a first down by for Howard there on on that play so they're at their 35 yard line good pickup right there um so inside run for Howard and good tackle right at the L of scrimmage by uh derell de Brom so um uh good job by the defense so there's just always going to be little things to clean up you know for Ruckers um and any team for that matter so um good job um you know in terms of um reading you know what this um offense is doing it's a second and 10 for Howard um play action and here comes the blitz passes away and good completion to number zero good job by loyal on the tackle looks like it's uh going to be a pickup of about four yards so it should be third and eight from here so um always guys uh also do me a favor make sure you guys hit the like button um if you're new to the channel subscribe and hit the notification so you know six five seconds left on the play c three two one and what do we have here we have a Time Ruckers took a timeout why would you take a timeout coach I I I I don't get that you had to play C to your advantage okay you now gave Howard the opportunity to regroup and adjust accordingly so um on that play I don't like that now Ruckers is down to one timeout you know left in the game so um just a quick update according I just got a notification looks like Brandon auk is getting a four-year um contract looks like 120 with 76 million guaranteed so um there we go so um but again I'm back to this so um I I don't like um I don't like taking a a call now if you're just saying that um you had to because somebody was out of alignment then okay I I guess so you know but with the clock ticking down I'm I just have a hard time with that you know so um you know but again it is for him yeah no of course Mosley it is good for him especially with CD lamb getting what he got you know I figured it was going to happen now you know in the one is going to be um uh Chase um so um but again let's see what's going on here all right so I'm just looking at the depth chart um trying to figure out some things with what I'm seeing so there's some players who are making plays so yeah they're playing a lot of young guys defense ly so um but hey uh Ruckers is still controlling the narrative for the most part they just need to do a better job you know on that quarterback read um and that deals with the um with the linebackers uh your quarterback has three carries for 42 yards so that's pretty much where it lies I mean Howard is even with Ruckers in in the rush run rush yards 56 total yards so but it's the pass yards where there's the difference and the turnover for the pick six you know now if you didn't have the pick six this is a nothing nothing game so you know like I said before Howard did play Northwestern even um that oh no there's a running back I thought there's a running back there okay um Howard did play Northwestern e almost even they lost 23 to 20 last year so um but on that play Howard Dro back the pass they were trying to run the screen Ruckers read it perfectly and the quarterback threw the ball right in the ground towards the running back so it's going to be a fourth down so um good defense um they're starting to make the adjustments so you know um you know I I definitely like that you know but that's a smart coaching staff you know they're going to be well positioned so it's a fourth and seven and they're punting from about their 38 yard line so let's see what happens on the punt the ball's away and the ball was deflected ah Ruckers with what they normally do ball did cross over the line of scrimmage and Howard downed at their 40 yard line but good job by bra white looks like they're highlighting him looks like he got a hand on the ball now that's something that you adjust because Ruckers is always good always good at punt block so uh yeah he just got his fingertips right on on it so um if he could have got his full hand doing it um that would have been a big play right there so um but Ruckers is going to have the ball first and 10 at their 40 yard line when we come back U from the timeout so um now Ruckers is killing themselves off offensively where they get into our territory but they don't capitalize on big third down plays and they're forced to turn over and then that them um a turnover on down so um but again Ruckers right now I do want to see them be a lot more physical especially in the Run game you know Force how to load the box so that way you can go over the top you know or k Shaka one time just take it deep on them you know if you even if you got a Max protect and send Miller deep down you know send two on one side and send two verts you know have a safety run a post and then an outside guy run a a a deep sideline pattern you know just so you can let Howard know hey we're the better team we're the more athletic team we're the deeper team and we're going to attack you down the field so um you know I I would like to see them do that but again in the Run game just be physical force them to load the box and and then you know it allows you to attack them down the field now you have to connect and guys have to catch a pass there were two passes that were dropped one by strong and one by long so um but but you know if they do what they're supposed to do I'm expecting them to score some points right now so um and and take it from there so uh but again offensively though you know in comparison to last year it's not that bad you know I know some people will you know cons be concerned but I'm not overly concerned I'm really not I think Ruckers is doing a calling a good game offensively so um and I think it will benefit them in the long run and again one of the things I do like is this is letting some of your young guys um get some get some game action you know so I mean that that's the big thing you know you want guys to get game action as you go along you know because It prepares you for the long season because this is going to be a long season so ruers is lined up right hash mark first and 10 three by one running back is to the right of the quarterback uh and we're waiting and dropping back to pass plenty of time got across the long looks like a pick up of about three yards so um it'll be a second and seven my C Manis has plenty of time when I'm telling you he has plenty of time when I say time he has literally four to five seconds he has four to five seconds so um Howard is not able to put any pressure now he is four of eight for 36 yards you know and and that's a that can be a little concerning so again Ruckers is one by3 left hash mark uh one of three is a wing Brown is to the left of C Manis Howard is lining up with a five Man line uh there is Sam Brown on the run and looks like he picks up about two yards on the play good job by Howard on the Tackle by Gallup Jr um there with the tackle so um uh we missed a block there um on on that side we definitely missed a block on that side we should have read it and should have seen it and been able to work there on the offensive line so um these are things that we have to clean up so uh it's third and five in the M it's middle of the field one by three with the wing Brown to the left of CI Manis 10 seconds on the play clock looks like Howard is playing games like they're trying to Blitz he's reading he is reading ball is snapped and there it is and the ball is dropped Again by Chris Long uh so H Ruckus is going to go three and out now um this is big for Howard you're Ruckers you're giving them an opportunity to uh pass was deflected I'm sorry it wasn't dropped it was deflected good job by the Howard defense defensive back um but uh you're giving Howard the the the confidence in this game man because they're saying we can play with these big 10 boys so um you know fourth and five um and uh Ruckers has lined up to punt and 8 seconds on the play clock um waiting four three two what are we waiting for these guys look confused coach I don't understand why they're confused on the punt uh you just used your last timeout you have no more timeouts with 10 minutes and 50 seconds left in in the quarter so I I don't understand what the confusion is right there um I'm I'm not used to this with a Ruckers Ruckers Le team um calling all your timeouts uh with with with basically 11 minutes left in the half nah you can't do that yeah Mosley I'm with you I'm shaking my head too you know this makes no sense um you know um now you offensively um well overall you've you put yourself in a a a tough position and you've given Howard the advantage um so um look I get calling some of your time timeouts you know early why on your punt situation the guys weren't ready it's a fourth and five it's not like you were trying to to fake and and go for it you know the kid should have been out there they should have been ready they should have been lined up um um you know and you just go uh I I'm really really really disappointed and what I'm seeing um too many too many mistakes too many mental mistakes you cannot have this especially against an opponent like Howard you know Ruckus you're favored by 38 points 38 points but yet and still you're only up seven and your seven points was done was was achieved by a 52 yard um interception return for a touchdown you know offensively I mean C I mean coach Shaka for the most part is making the right calls the execution offensively is not there receivers dropping passes now the defensive back did um deflect one p pass offensively on on the line you're missing some key blocks you know on that fourth and one you know uh on that big run by Sam Brown I mean not big run on that run by Sam Brown where he was s tackled for two yards if you get that that linebacker there was a lane there so um you know they need to really pick it up they really need to pick it up because um your your whole the perception of your whole season if you don't want the fan base to start becoming panicky um you need to pick it up and and I mean big time so um so when we come back it's going to be a fourth and five um you know in reference to the situation um shano looks like he's having um problems with his headset uh ball is snapped and the ball is kicked and it's away and it's down to about the 15 yard line of Howard so that's the only good thing you are forcing Howard to um play deep play play on their side of the ball it's not like you know you're you're you're giving the ball over in your territory Howard has to go long Fields you know starting at their 10 starting at their 15 you know starting at their 20 yard line at one time so um that's that's a good thing that's helping the the this team out but Howard is moving the ball so defensively you know you do need to see your linebacker level play better um you know I do want to see you know your pass rush in certain situations get to the quarterback um you did get that one good hit but other than that you didn't see you didn't get get anything so um first and 10 uh left hash mark uh inside zone for Howard and he stopped at the line of scrimmage so good job right there um by it looks like it was Malcolm Ray on the tackle yeah Malcolm Ray transfer from Florida State um good job of holding the point of attack and not allowing the defense okay no that was a linebacker uh Ray um forced the lineman um into the back field and open up the alley so um quarterback run and good job by J Brom this time on the backside they tried to do a Jet Sweep um fake and the quarterback was going to run up the alley but jbon was there coming off of the backside and he read it perfectly to make a play for no game looks like it's going to be a no game play on this so he should be about the 15 yard line so uh good job you know and that's what I mean the the the linebacker level has to do a better job now it's third and 10 um don't get too cutesy coach don't get too cuty watch that quarterback fake um you know quarterback drivs back there's a the screen and good job by the defense good job by Jun that series um by gel jom good job he read it perfectly he scraped um they had um the the blockers covered up front which allowed him to scrape and come down and make a play so it's going to be a fourth and six uh for Howard so they're going to be forced to punt right now so uh good job um by the defense so that's what you want to see that's good now we want to chalk it up uh in terms of a uh three and out so now can Ruckers get a a block can they get a block you know a punt block you know looks like they're lining up for it um they're always noted for it and here they come and the punt is away and the ball is downed at around the 44 45 yd line um for by Howard so good job like I said um in terms of you know the the uh defense in terms of you know stopping them and forcing a three and out and now putting your offense in um a very good position to um play with a short field so if you're around the 45 yard line 55 yards to get into the end zone now this is big for this this this offense right now they have to go down and they have to get points uh they have to get a touch now um so it's going to be a first and 10 at their own 45 uh about 8 and A2 a little bit over8 and a half left in in in the game in the quarter so um again like I said Ruckers is favored by 38 points 38 and a half so they need to step it up if you want to meet that so but you know more importantly to build confidence in the players on this team um offensively you're going to need to go down you're going to need to again you're doing what you need to do offensively I mean you know you have okay 93 total yards there were critical mistakes that stopping you from even having more points and having more opportunity to score so you know other than the three and out um you have done what you wanted to do so you have moved the ball you know you just haven't capitalized you know on that fourth and one or or you've had drop passes at Key moments you know the plays are there so so you know um they just need to step up and they need to be able to capitalize you know on their opportunities and not make those um um critical mistakes you know so uh I'm looking forward to seeing what's happening on now first and 10 at their 45 yd line one by3 um inside run for kangai bounc it to the outside there he is he's on a on a big run good cut by manangi and it looks like he was down to about this 17 16 yard line there is that big explosive play that Ruckers needed that's going to generate some energy but yeah good job good seal block by Holland pierce the left tackle so but again like I said to move from the 45 down to around the 16 um that's a big run that's what Ruckers needed so and and and again you know they're they're around the 16 yd line like I said in reference to that same formation um they're loading the Box in terms of um there's the run ah he should have kept it Athan keep the Run blah ball it was there they were reading him you just had that big run so tried to do the run again to um manangi and good tackle by the Howard defensive back uh looks like it's no game uh but cic Manis if he kept it there was nobody there um I think he probably could have walked into the end zone so uh but again it's going to be a second and 10 Howard is playing in coverage now they're playing back uh C Manis is back there's the inside pass nice inside throw ah I gotta keep him up because that was six um pick up of about nine yard D Miller had to go down to catch the pass um if he if he didn't go down would have been it would have been six oh fter false start it was nine yards but there's there's Rucker's first penalty of the game it's going to be a false start which is going to move him back five yards it was going to be a second and one so ah man that was tough because you had the ball moving you get got a nice rhythm going and you know you were you were set to at least get a first down uh I can hear was was what the call is oh they're replaying the play okay it's an official re replay so that's the other thing about losing those timeouts ruers can't challenge anything um in this half right now so that that's a big thing that's a big thing also so um you know hopefully you know any CH uh any reviews you know are initiated by the by the booth you know just like this but you know uh but again I don't know what the I guess they're reviewing the catch yeah he has a catch I don't know what they're reviewing um everything that I'm seeing guys looks like it's a catch he had it he slid controlled I can't unfortunately guys I I can't hear so if anybody's watching if you want to put in the chat what they said you know it would help me out a lot um I don't know what's going on that referee even marked third down and it wasn't third down so I don't know why he said third down but hey they're officials you know they're in in early stages also so um no he did okay they did give it to him so um oh they they're doing the the Ruckus is doing the the same thing um the Eagles do in short yardage situation uh CI Manis with the run and looks like he got the first down so they gave him the first down looks like he's at the five yard line uh no at the six yard line so first down so he picked up the yard so first and goal for Ruckers at about the six yard line so um you know they even have some big guys lined up in the backfield to help push the The Rock so um good job first and first and goal tight bunch to the left on the right hash mark for Ruckers um cun guy to the left uh they're checking out they're checking out three seconds left on the play clock and the ball is snapped there's manangi with the run and with the good move good way to make a make a man miss got down to about the one yard line so it looks like a pick up of about five on that play if four or five depends on yeah they're at the one yard line so um first uh second and goal U looks like it's going to be at the one yard line I'm expecting them to score off of this so um here we go but again manangi good job of making um the defender Miss and you had quite a few guys bring him down uh fight to bring him down so uh Ruckers is lining up second and goal um they're Double Wing to the right uh manangi to the to the right and good stop three guys right there for Howard to stop him at the line of scrimmage so um good job and again I it's hard for me uh but again I I guess you know um they're re they're going to make the adjustments at the half they have to they're not biting on the quarterback they're not biting it's there you have a quarterback Reed that he could literally walk into the end zone um so hopefully you guys see that now and you make the adjustments so now do you do third and goal and you're at about the where are you okay so he lost a yard on that so it's third and two um at at the line of scrimmage pass to diir Miller and screen and he's in for the touchdown a two yard touchdown pass uh from Ki Manis to diir Miller good blocking on the screen action uh for the receivers and he Dove right into the end zone this was going to the left of the formation so uh good job for Ruckers uh good call um and um Ruckers is now up um at the 13 to nothing on Howard so um but a good good also for Miller good uh fight through uh from the defender who um had a slight angle but he was able to get through fight through and scored a touchdown so batal for the extra point ball is snapped kick is up and it's good so Ruckers now is up 14 to nothing over Howard um in the second quarter um and again good job by um Ruckers to move the ball and to finally get on the board this is what you needed um it also helps your offense it it says to your offense we can at least capitalize we moved down the field we got the points you know it's the first game of the season like I said there's a lot of mistakes that are going on but you can sit here and say all right guys you know especially going into halftime we're up 14 nothing we haven't given up we have the goose EG going on so um let's do what we need to do offensively you know we're in double digits right now which is to be expected um let's continue to keep going now there's 451 left in in the in the second quarter so you know Ruckers just needs to continue to work the way they've been doing defensively let's see if you can get another three and out congratulations to cak Manis for getting his first um touchdown pass as a Rucker Scarlet Knight so um but again Ruckers is lining up for the kickoff uh o 93 who is that and the ball excuse me the ball is away down to about the three yard line and he's returned to about the 24 yard line so a return of about 21 yards so um okay you but um for Ruckers you just want to keep going I'm sorry guys I'm trying to see who number 903 is for Ruckers so I'm taking a look at the with the jersey numbers Howard is coming out looks like they're on their left has Mark yeah left hash mark um they're two by uh oh it's a flag on the play okay Jack scolan number 93 is the one freshman doing the kickoff for Ruckers okay so something I needed to know going forward so but again hey it's my first time watching this team this year too so um but it looks like it's a penalty against Howard um I guess that's that was the center I guess it was an illegal snap so so it's a first and 15 and it's a a delayed draw good tackle by Ruckers on the play uh but he did pick up about five yards um we need to do a better job of identifying that hips Peter is the one that made the tackle um he was there um but we need to do a better job identifying quicker and and attacking not allow them to get five yard six yards so it's second and nine um so we don't want to give them six yards you know on that play it should have been a uh a three yard um play so inside run oh good oh good good job up front defensive line um um kesan Griffin and Aaron Lewis great push into the offensive backfield and stop the running back for a loss on the play so um looks like it's a two-yard loss Griffin good fight rip move off off of the left guard to be able to make a play on the on uh on the run so good job it's third and 11 on the play uh Ruckers is showing that they're going to be bringing pressure um so looks like he's going to be man coverage off of that so um dropping into coverage no it's Zone it's Zone good good good coverage downfield Oh What A Catch What A Catch by by the receiver um uh quarterback rolled right threw the ball down the field receiver went full extension in the air no one around him and and made a diving full extension catch so that moved the pass out to around the 48 yard line so um uh good pass came back to action looks like it's a one-yard pickup but that was a great p uh play um by by um the receiver so um broken coverage um bro broken coverage down there somewhere to allow him to have that much room to make a play uh if this was the NFL he would have been able to get up and take off and run because there was literally no one around him so okay on that play he did not gain any so it's second and 10 for Howard they're at their 49 yd line 5 seconds on the play clock motion across here's pressure Aaron Lewis coming down the field deep pass down the middle overthrow the receiver good coverage by Eric Rogers on that play too so there's a flag on the play what's the flag personal foul roughing the passer on Ruckers um it's probably gonna be on Aaron Lewis that's the one thing I will tell you about him uh he does get those calls because he's so fixated he took one step no that's a bad call that's a bad call by the official he took one step and hit him he hit him with his shoulder that is a terrible call that is a a terrible call by the official on that play he took one step hit him you're entitled to One Step um again quarterback Reed and good play um still picked up yardage on there um and good tackle um that that that that's a bad call by the official look man I I get um um I get protecting um Ramen on the tackle I get protecting the quarterback man but you know this is why a lot of people feel like it football is getting too soft it's getting too soft man all right second and five and you're down to the two-minute warning uh that's a new role in college football um you now have the two-minute warning um to stop the clock and regroup so it's second and five for Ruckers right now um defensively uh uh that that that penalty really hurt man that penalty really hurt there are two critical plays on here that big pass that Howard connected to put the ball out to around the 49 yd line and um that penalty right there um that penalty basically put the ball at around the 36 yard line of Ruckers uh there's no way that um you should you call that play Aaron Lewis took one step what it is the official and and and when he hit him he let up he hit him with his shoulder and then he did not follow through he not dried he did not take the quarterback to the ground he hit him and let him go and the official still threw the flag it's a terrible call by the official these officials have to do better because in certain situations like this you're taking away from a good play of of these kids appreciate quality football good clean football you're also causing confusion as to what is a good football play that was a good hit that was a completely good legal hit he hit him with his shoulder shoulder toos shoulder if you calling it because you saw his head whip then that that that that that's you then you don't need to be an official I'm sorry you do not need to be official it's football there's going to be a level of physicality that is needed with the with the play out there so um but okay now it's time to move on uh coach is moving on um I do make a mental note of that if I'm coacho that's something that I'm taking to um the officials um um after the game and I'm saying look man you cost you cost us in this situation any other game you know if it's if it's a bigger or closer game that could be a situ that could be a play that can cause um make things different you know cause the game or or put a team in position to score when you've been playing playing very well you take momentum away so um but again uh Howard is lined up quarterback is under the gun it's going to be a a a Jet Sweep um he looks like he picked up about four yards so good job by KH Sanders it's going to be third in inches uh when uh Howard snaps the ball again so um uh third down an inch a third down and one sorry um but Howard is lined up with a double uh Double Wing to a wing to the right inside Zone and he's broke breaking a tackle and he's gotten down to about the 11 yard line big run on the play uh for Howard there so um they're starting to move the ball they're starting to get into a good Rhythm there um uh you had two missed tackles at the point of attack man you had two players who were there who missed the tackle um execution is the key man um so they're in Double Wing to the to the to quarterback run and he ran to the outside good job by Shaquan loyel but a pickup of about six yards um so Howard is moving the ball a lot of deception um in on the play guys have to stay true and play play their roles you know stop being uh overly aggressive same formation but to the offensive right recers is set same type of play quarterback run and looks like they stopped him um did they stop him or did he get the first down uh 43 seconds left on the play clock on the game um it's a third down uh Howard right now Howard you got two plays to pick up one yard you know so that's what I would be playing for right now um and this this this play this formation where the they're lining two wide receivers a receiver on the line a slot receiver out wide a tight end with a wing opposite the running back to uh the to the wing side and they're running bringing a uh like a split Zone Action I'm sorry the uh they're running the um the running back to the opposite side they're running split Zone Action bringing the running back across bringing the wing across in Split Zone and the quarterback is pretty much reading what's happening up front and and that's what they're doing so Howard took a timeout they have one timeout left uh should be third and one on the play uh so what are you going to do they're they Howard is lined up in the same formation which is what I expected here they come touchdown Howard on the play um number five and he's mocking Howard with the chop action um now if I'm seeing that I'm making a little note hey he's making fun of you guys he's making fun of what what we do he's making fun of our Mantra but they ran that same play they had a nice double team at the point of attack and and they moved the defensive lineman out uh and it it it got into the end zone so uh good double team good block on the linebacker and good way to get into the end zone so touchdown Howard on the play uh good job good good movement um um getting down the field so the ball is up and the kick is away and the score is now 14-7 uh Ruckers um so they only deter mining factor in this game is the pick six which is why Ruckers is up by seven points otherwise it's a 7 s game uh and these are little things as a coach that I take a uh um take a mental note of I take notes about it and I talk to my guys about it so uh kudos to Howard um they they're saying hey we're not afraid of Ruckers we're not afraid of a of a big 10 and and kids at these type of schools they want this opportunity they want the opportunity to play against um Power five schools to prove that hey you know what we weren't heavily recruited but we have the talent to compete uh against these programs so kudos to James on that touchdown run um um for uh for um Howard so um let me see so on that on that drive uh Howard again uh they moved down from their own 21 uh so they pretty much 79 yards to score that touch touchdown and in the terms of the stats I mean they're total yards they're at 143 where Ruckers is at 148 so scrin is seven of 11 47 yards passing but if you look at his rushing seven carries 56 yards James is seven carries 35 yards um you know the rushing yards Ruckers is 101 Howard is 96 both teams are at 47 yards passing so um Ruckers need to do a better job you know in terms of Defense Ely um cleaning up some things and um settling in uh kiano has his work cut out for him now I do say some of that is um it was a fair catch on the kickoff the ball went to 21 it was it was Higgins fielded at the 21 so I think I believe that comes out to the 25 yard line if you fair catch inside the 25 it comes out to the 25 yd line um but kiano's going going to the locker room and he's going to have to really clean up some things you know in terms of um figuring out what to do uh coach is definitely getting into someone um I guess he didn't want that fair catch oh no I guess the fair catch rule is off now you don't have that anymore uh so Ruckus starts at their 21 yard line um and and um whoever Fair again you have a lot of young kids who are playing right now so that's also a contributing factor Ruckers is on the left hash one by three um and about looks like he picks up about uh 14 yards is uh TV says there's a flag on the play so let's see what's happening and I'm seeing that the referee is saying holding all right so that's going to bring that's going to be Rucker second penalty so that's going to move them back um on on on this on this drive looks like it's holding on the play uh against Ruckers that's going to move them back 10 yards uh on um aome 69 aome Mo um on the play I I don't see a hold wow guys I really don't see a hold I don't see where I don't see where that was so um but again hand off to K manangi and he's breaking down and he got over to uh to the 48 yard line and they threw a flag on the play and it's getting chippy out there guys it's getting chippy out there man is just laughing you know he said look you got a flag but um how is is really starting to do a lot of talking they're feeling a lot of confidence you know as as the opposition as a ruers player you know me I'm gonna love it yeah am I gonna do a little talking back I'm gonna do it not in front of the referees because I don't want to get caught with a flag but I'm gonna sit here and say yeah you know what now I'm gonna really step it up and I'm going to really punch you even more in the face you know uh I'm going to be even more physical um with you so here's a flag on the play um dead ball personal foul against Howard so that's going to give Ruckers another 15 yards on the play but again uh good job it was the same exact play Ruckers ran before so um but yeah uh number 11 and he wants to he wants to talk so uh so Ruckers is at the 34 yard line um clock has stopped uh let's take it over the top coach take it over the top please take it over the top um one by three left hashmark dropping back for to pass call Manis with a clean pocket balls mve down to around the looks like it's about the 17 yard line Calli Manis on the pass 18 yard line uh they're up getting set and they're spiking the ball and and wa oh they said time out so if that's a time out then then you got to put time on the clock so um but again if they call timeout on that okay uh good job clearing out um uh running vertic out in for Miller and a scene which opened up the window uh beautifully so um it's going to be a first and 10 um they say 12 seconds on the on the game in the half so uh let's see what happens so um but again if they called a timeout all right so part of that is you know the the the penalty 205 yards in total offense 63 rushian uh I'm sorry 144 Russian 63 passing so um you know there's a lot to clean up at the half for Ruckers there really is a lot so um right now I would say I want to see this ball going into the end zone um force him down and you know take a defensive knel um in reference to that you know manangi uh let me see how many carries with a long of 39 yards so um this is going to be the k n show show um in the second half um we're gonna have to ride him and for Ruckers to do to be successful literally they're going to have to uh get um a 200 to a 250 game from him um so they're lining up taking a snap there's the kneel down and that's going to be the half so at the half Ruckers is leading Howard 177 um again I just did a quick synopsis uh stat breakdown I'll go back over it again you know for Howard uh you have scroggin uh who's leading um them in passing seven of 11 47 yards one interception um he also has seven rushes 56 yards a long of 18 James seven carries 35 yards 16 car uh 16 yard long run uh joerger one carry eight yards uh hawthone one carry three yards Hunter four carries one yard um Zarin one carry no yards James Lees in reception two receptions 10 yards Clark one uh for five um I guess those are targets also um ilara two for three and Hawthorne no reception so I don't think there's any defensive stats in here no no defensive stats and again for Ruckers C man is seven of 13 63 yards one touchdown um he's okay uh definitely better than uh Gavin whimet um kyung guy 14 carries 124 yards with a long of 39 um round three carries seven yards along the four yards um diir Miller four catches on four targets 37 yards long of 16 I strong one carry I mean one reception I said carry sorry guys one reception 12 yards with a long of 12 yards three targets he has um a drop Kenny Fletcher one car one reception for 10 yards uh Chris Long one uh reception four yards but he also has one dropped and um the rece defender deflected one of the passes so um but those are the overall stats for uh Ruckers um it's not a it's not a a a impressive game for that matter um what's up Raph um El capan Rafael fuo thanks for tapping in bro I appreciate you offensively for Ruckers while it is not an impressive game it's an okay game um they're going to have to build up they're going to have to continue to work um you know it's going to rely on K mananga we see that right now what are you going to do once teams start to take him away um you know uh we definitely need c Manis now one thing I would like to see just one time I would just like to see a sell it deep one time you know um we talked that we've heard all all preseason diir Miller is a um deep threat type of receiver he has explosive speed so send the ball deep you know send it deep one time just to send a message to Howard but also to the rest of the teams that are playing you you know Ruckers right now is in you offensively is struggling with uh Howard you know I think it you know there would be there should be about 14 more points on the on the board right now for for Ruckers you know at at Mo you know you could say 14 points if you want to give it 10 points uh I'll even give you 10 points but I'm going to say 14 points you know Ruckers should have at least 31 points on on the board right now that's where you're saying to yourself okay this is what you expect out of Ruckers um but right now they're not playing well they have to do better going into the second half they have to clean up things um they have to you know show that they're a worthy Big 10 opponent uh because right now you know people are going to lose confidence you know when you play teams like Virginia Tech when you play Washington um you know um Wisconsin USC Maryland you know um you're you're going to um it's going to change the narrative there for you who's your most hated team team in college team State pen University yeah I did say State pen I didn't say Penn State I said State pen just as just just like that arle um and if you understand why I say that then you you know I mean you know it goes back to you know the Joe paternal days so um it's a State Penitentiary I'll always say that and I never was like that I didn't I didn't have any animosity towards Penn State you know so um but you know when you allow certain things to you know permeate your program and you don't take control you know that that that I have issues with so um but um like I said going into the second half I need to see see better play for Ruckers um defensively I'm okay you know you need to clean up some things better play at the linebacker level you know when you have the opportunity to make the tackle make your tackle guys don't miss your tackle but um you know um offensively you know you got to do a better job executing getting your blocks um you have to make make sure that um you know you get your blocks um secure your blocks receivers catch the pass you know you you can't have two passes like that that are dropped so um uh you hate Texas A&M you must be a Texas Longhorn fan so I guess that's why so um but I understand aru I understand so um um but yeah um it's it's state pen and when Jim harau was at Michigan it was Michigan but now that he's not there I don't have any hate you know I actually have family in Detroit who are big Wolverine fans you know I was in a sense a wolverine fan growing up as a kid I don't want to say a fan but I did like um them at times you know but you know when Harbo was there uh you know something that he said about Jersey and he owns J or he led the impression that he this is his uh recruiting ground and this is his backyard you know no no this is not your backyard this is Jersey you know you can get Talent from here just like anyone else but you don't own Jersey so which is why I'm glad he's gone so uh but that's about it but I'm going to take a quick again um right now Howard is doing the uh doing their thing you know in terms of their um moving the ball up and down the field you know in terms on on Ruckers um you know defensively you know when you sit down and you look at it you know 142 yards of total offense in a half you know that's that can that's concerning so you know if you're a Rucker defensive coach you you are concerned with that you know but I do expect kosian to clean up some things at the halftime um like I said defensively U the linebackers you know there's things that they need to they're young linebackers so you don't have either of your all big 10 linebackers there I think if they were in there you would actually see a different ball game you know some of those missed tackles would be cleaned up um and I don't think Howard would be able to move the ball the way they you have young guys in here um you know playing in um um po positions um when you have young guys in here you know it it it changes the Dynamics man it really does so um and that which is why I do understand you know you do have to get these guys up to speed but this is what you see this is what you see what you're going to see Moses Walker um he he while he's a junior uh he has dealt with some injury and he hasn't played as much but he was a fourstar talent you know who who you know came to Ruckers uh Dariel Jabron he's also a junior from Quebec Canada um but you know again hasn't played a lot during the course of the past few years uh Timmy uh hens hens Peter another Junior um you know again they come in they fill in um in for certain games you know especially late in the season but at those critical junctures you know of course they're not there um because you know you had all U Big 10 Talent ahead of them so again you know you're going to need these guys to really you know step up and play u um better going forward and I think they will you know I really do you know again it's first games you do have the Jitters you know it it it's it's going to happen so you know you know but you know when you have guys you know you know veteran guys like the um um um Ty po who's out you know Moses um not Moses um muhamad teray who's out for the year you know it it does change your defense um a lot you know uh in how you do things how you call things you know because if they were here they know the defense you could do a lot of other things so you know need to work on the the the a little bit on the on the back end with the with the pass defense um but again you know you do have a pick six so you know that can be that can force you to be a little bit more tentative um I don't see them uh I haven't seen Howard do a lot more um passing a lot of it is dealing with the run so um would I expect Ruckers to probably load the Box a little bit more on occasion yeah force him to pass you know be smart play quarterback look at what he's doing you know understanding the down to distance situation you're not really trying to go vertically except that one play uh where he made that big play but if you keep him in the pocket he doesn't make that play everything else is really short screens things of that nature you know Howard is not really trying to you know get into a a bully contest with Ruckers because they know on the trenches they can't match up so you know that's where Ruckers has to be fundamentally sound um guys have to stay true to their rules uh and not play outside of what you're supposed to do so uh just do your job you know so and and again like I said I'm expecting you know to see a different performance going into the second half so now hopefully you know my expectations will be met but we'll see what happens going forward so um I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen um and I seen Brantley out there I was expecting to see him a little bit you know because you know he he couldn't play last year um because of transfer issues and the NCAA not allowing him to play so this would be a good game to let him play and let him get out there because you're going to need him going forward so but I I I don't know I mean I've seen a lot of Miller strong and long now Christian JL like I said was he's quite so you're probably just using him as a punt returner unless he keep an eye out for um Brantley I want to see if he's out there and if he does anything so you know so um but that's just some of the things that I'm looking for you know going forward so um I'm looking for the offensive line to clean up some things you know um get better in terms of their execution their blocking assignments um for the most part they're doing what they need to do um but you know some of the the big runs that um mananga has done he's bounced it um so you've had a wash on the backside which allows him to bounce in at the point of attack it's clogged up so you know those are some things that you know I want to see that they clean up you know because you know if we're running inside zone I'm expecting to see you know an alley up inside early in the game they had it but um Howard has done a good job adjusting taking it away but now what are they going to do are they going to stay with him B with manangi bouncing it does that open up the inside Zone a little bit more you know I I want to see more um types of runs which will wear down Howard because that's the other thing you should be wearing them down you know so um going forward that's what I'm looking for so um but um you know the second half will be coming up soon um I guess after this next commercial break with um on the Big 10 Network so um and and here let me let me also say this I've been critical of Ruckers but let me also uh tip my hat to Howard you know because they they they first of all they have a great game plan that they're they're calling from the coaching staff for the most part the players are executing and to their best of their ability and you know they're keeping themselves in this game like I said if it wasn't for that pick six earlier you have a 10 seven game you know that's something that that you know you you want to think about um I think about that I make a I make a not of that you know this is really a 107 game right now and going into the second half right now I say it's 7 s that's going to put a lot of press more pressure on Ruckers um and Howard is doing what they need to do to cause that you know so um and they need to continue what they're doing in a sense you know don't change from the game plan that you that you have you know keep going keep doing what you're doing um and attacking the ruers offense and defense the way you've been doing now if things start to get out of hand then of course you make certain adjustments but Howard wants to win this game don't get it wrong but you know most important uh also they want to try and keep this you know uh within a certain realm right now 10 points they win you know in some respects they win you know they can say look you know last year against Northwestern we lost by three points and record you know if you know if the score was to hold of right now you know 10 points you know so you know Koso though I think he's going to do what he needs to do to really push the the the envelope on on this you know but again like I said there's so many different factors you know ruers with a lot of injuries to a lot of key players you know and guys who are questionable you know I I'm I'm seeing that some of the guys who are questionable haven't been out there so um you know it it it's it's what I expected so you know now Eric Rogers you know he's performed since he's been out there you know dremo you know a little bit but now he's not out there anymore um Benjamin has been out Tyne Powell your starting linebacker he's out K keante Hamilton you know key interior defensive lineman you know I I really haven't seen him out there um you know Aaron Lewis is out there you know trying his best so um but again you know I'm looking for um this team to step it up in the second half and really take control of this game especially at the line of scrimmage you know offensive lineman let's bully them up front you know understand your blocking assignments and what you're supposed to do and go out and execute you know at that point of a time so uh but uh like I said kudos to uh Howard and Ruckers you need to step it up you know you know I predicted an eight and4 record you know right now you're you're playing at a six- six maybe a five- seven record to be really honest you know and you know it could get even worse than that you know so they need to step it up and they need to you know play much much better going forward so and I do think they will you know like I said there's so many different factors you have a lot of young players which could go into helping you down the road you know once the young players get comfortable and you know playing in in in the in a college level game you know that that can help you know their play improve you know because they do have a lot of young Talent on this roster so you know this is what they need but you're also a veteran Le team you you know you have 20 some odd seniors on this roster so um you know you need these guys to step up and uh help um you grow uh as a as a team right now in the second half so um but uh they're you know right now I guess they're showing uh the two band oh the two bands I think are playing together you know that's pretty cool you know so you know with the two bands if they're playing together you know kudos to them you know you know Howard HBCU most people know who follow colge Sports HBCU bands are pretty Dynamic um very entertaining so um you know like I said both are together so respect to them kudos to them you know both of them for for doing that so um but you have your announcers just you know giv a little recap of derfield Jason Horwitz and Matt Millan um so um you know unfortunately I can't hear with with the watch watch or I can I choose not to so um but you know what do you guys thought you know I've done all the Jibber jabbing you know what are your thoughts on you know on this game so far you know if you're watching it you know I mean how do you feel are you if you're a Scarlet Knight fan are you nervous are you confident that they're going to improve you know make sure you put it in the chat so you know and I'll make sure I'll read it so um but you know doing a little quick checkin going over the stats you know for the first half and you know um you know looks like they have a good student section there it's not it's not sold out I wasn't expecting it to you know if you had a different you know program a more recognizable program maybe they would have sold it out but you know um a lot of people are going to look at it's Howard they're from a lower level I'm expecting Ruckers they don't want to watch it you know where I'm the type where I wouldn't care who it is I'm coming to support my squad so so um uh how head coach uh skan is lining up to um kick off um and he has it lined up and at the center left and the ball's away for the second half and it's in the end zone where I was I was I'm looking for it to go so Howard will come out to about the 25 yd line uh when we come back so um uh swagin leads the team Russian we went over the stats uh he's accounted for what is that 13 um 103 yards a total offense so um you know that's what you have to do you have to take you have to control him Jan scroggin um you can't let him continue what he's doing U so let's see they're on Howard is on their left hash mark uh they're you know in their say formation that they found success with motion across um running back to the left [Music] and outside Zone running back is bouncing to the outside bounce off many tackles and he picked up about a good 16 yards bring the ball out to the 41 yard line so um looks like it was a little confusion right at the again miss tackle you you had de Demond osen who was there um but he came in a little bit too hot and heavy and he did not focus on reading a play CU if he just did his assignment he was there play action to for the quarterback pass to number three to about the 47 yard line of Ruckers so two plays Howard is at the Ruckers 47 yard line like I said Howard is playing with a lot of confidence now so they're they're saying we can play with them so two plays you you pick up um two explosive plays to get into plus territory so first and 10 at the Ruckers 47 yard line um there's the outside quarterback Zone and now they stopped them for about a one yard game so uh good job by Jon and um Aaron Lewis on the play so um again uh guys are playing a little bit more uh on that play guys were playing a little bit more disciplined so um Howard right now second and nine um call um read the defense got a check from the sideline um they're in tight formation tight end to the left one by three running back to the right um outside Zone with the running back and there they are Ruckers now again Jerome with the tackle uh for a one-yard game so uh jaboom is um doing a little bit better right now in these last two plays so um uh good job by the defense of holding doing their assignment playing their assignment it's a third and eight for Ruckers right um for Howard right now um and looks like they're at what the Ruckers 45 so um 10 seconds on the play clock and they're at the 45 they're playing cut quarterback is running and there he goes and there's a tackle at the 40 yd line uh for Ruckers so um still too much um if I'm Howard I'm going for it that was Kai Sanders on the tackle for Ruckers and it's a fourth down and Howard is going for it like I said they have nothing to lose they have everything in the game nothing to lose it's a fourth and three so um you know definitely you want to go for it and Ruckers now it's it's up to you so you gain five yards and that Play 2 by two motion across to a three by one uh quarterback is dropping back uh pass um there and they stopped him uh for a loss of one uh they were trying to do some type of a outcut to the running back quarterback had pressure and hit it to got it to Hunter but uh he was tackled for a loss so um good job by Ruckers to stop the play um on on uh forcing a turnover on down and good job by Desmond edn nson uh to make sure that you know he did not let the um offensive player get the first down so um but uh that's a turnover on downs and Ruckers then when we come back will actually have the ball going forward so um good job right there to you know while you you did allow them a couple of plays you settled in and you did what you had to do so now what I am noticing it does mobile quarterback seem to give Ruckers a little bit Pro of problems so is that what we're going to see going forward um continuous problems with mobile quarterbacks so I don't know but um you know we'll see if we can clean it up going forward so so now offensively I'm expecting to see k n guy I'm expecting to see K guy now I do want to see if they start biting on Kyle manungi at the quarterback on certain running situations pull the ball and run you know that's what I want to see run from him pull the football and run you know now if you do that that can also help in the Run game so um again um but we'll see when we come back to action you know after this commercial break from um for for the Big 10 Network so uh um Ruckus offensively definitely has to step it up and they have to do uh they have to do well um moving this ball down the field and um see what they can do see if they can score uh points off off in this next series so um but um what's your guys thoughts now in reference to this game so far far so um let me know what you think so in terms of you know what you what you're seeing what what's going on so um scrag let's see on that last series scrag has got um nine to 13 57 yards um nine carries 64 yards so he's their whole show basically right now offensively so and I think he's going to do well um in the big I mean in the Mak you know uh I think he's going to do well in you know the way he's playing here this can give him great confidence because rers overall for everything that they're struggling they still are a good defense they have talent so this can help him Um this can help him going forward so um again yeah under U coach har har Harry Sak um last year they were seventh in points fifth in path yards six in takeaways and second in red scoring percentage so um definitely did a good job last year so you know stepped up on on that last series good job now first and 10 for Ruckers two by two motion across um hand off to oh they got me it was a split Zone um fake and pass out to Kenny Fletcher out in the left flat um looks like he picked up about five six yards so uh it's going to be a second down uh when we come back when he comes back to action so got me on that one I was expecting to run so um but again um lined up one by three with the wing to the right um um manangi to the right of the quarterb uh CI Manis ball is is hand handed off and uh oh he was stopped right in the middle but he bounced to the outside um picked up three yards so it's going to a third and one um if he didn't get tackled he was gone he was gone um if he didn't get T if he didn't get tackled from behind so um lined up inside run and looks like he's going to pick up the first down so um good run um by um mani and let's see what they say uh they're going to measure um right now Ruckers is at the Howard 49 yd line so um looks like it I thought he got it at the 40 the Mark is at the 49 yard line so that's where he got to it's at the 49 yard line uh good job by number zero Gallup Jr for Howard on the play the last two plays um stopped the plays from going becoming more than what it was going going to be and it's a first down just by the by the hair of the of the nose of the football but it is a first down for Ruckers so good job um in getting that doesn't matter how you get it just get the first down so um Ruckers will be lining back up after this so um starting to move the ball like I said you're in Howard territory um this drive right now I'm expecting them to go down and score touch a touchdown so it's a one by3 running guy to the right of calanis uh with the wing to the uh right looks like they're checking off again um and here we go uh outside run inside run by manangi good cut back and he breaking and he's breaking tackles and it looks like he picked up about uh 13 like I said let's ride mananga this is what you need to do right now going forward you know just keep running keep running so you went from the 49 um there it is yeah it's about 15 yards so 14 15 yards so good run by manungi there taking a breather first and 10 for uh for offense 17 carries 44 yards for man guy right now so Ki Manis eight of 14 63 yards still the same all you're going to do is run the football just keep running the football um right now wear them down just keep running the football don't do anything else you know if you have to pass then pass um you know if you want to do something quick to the flats okay I get that but right now I'm ready to just run the football you know force force Howard to to load the box if they load the box then I'm gonna go up top on them so uh and that that would be my you know offensively that's what I would do you know um but gu is doing his thing even if you put Sam Brown in there and incorporate Manis a little bit more you know with the quarterback re um read let him read what the ends and the outside is doing on the play um so that way he can go ahead and if the if they're Crashing Down On The Run pull it and take off which then allows later if they stay back that allows the running back to attack and and even gives him a cut back Lane so um U but again and that's what I'm looking for right now there's a Timeout on the field because there was an injury I do apologize for not um keeping you guys updated with that um you know again there's an injury um there was a Howard player who was down and they walked him off the you know help walk him off the field uh so when uh we'll be back you know they'll be back from a commercial break in a couple moments and we'll get back to action from there so um I need rers to definitely put points on here and to to be honest with you I need them to put up put put touchdowns on the field on the board that's what I need them to do I don't need a field go I need a touchdown and depending on the situation if it was a you know if I had to end up going on a fourth and short um I'm I'm you know if I had a short yardage situation on fourth down I probably would end up going for it so um but um looks like um we're about ready to come back to action in a moment later on tonight on the Big 10 Network you'll have Illinois and Eastern Illinois you know so that should be an interesting one battle for uh the state of Illinois um braging rights basically so but um uh when we come back mananga is back out on the field same formation one by3 um but mananga is to the left of cak Mana so um looking to the sideline here's some type of a checkdown Howard has adjusted accordingly um you know in reference to that so there's the Run Kyle bounc it out to the outside there he is off of a block and down to about the 19 yd line looks like he picked up about another 12 yards 12 13 yards so and that's is what I'm looking for Ruckers is bigger you know they're starting to impose their will so you know that's what I need to see you know and then Force Howard to make certain adjustment so but um good job by the front line of how for Ruckers um first and 10 at the 19 yd line two by two Miller motioned across um and split Zone good job to Kenny Fletcher and good job and he got down uh where did he get down to is it around the looks like he's around inside the five but that was a good job fake D and the hand to n going to the left Fletcher was coming across going to the right with the split Zone Action and he got it and he took off and um looks like he's out around the one yard line well they marked him out at around the uh four yd line so uh there's a Timeout on the field um it's an official review an official review right now so like I said I think he went down at at the one yard line so um so he went from the 19 to about the one that would have been an 18 yard pickup so um you know if he did he didn't go out there oh no he went out earlier he went out at around the about the eight and a half yard line so um yeah his left heel hit out on the strike so um that'll bring it back uh to about the eight and a half yard line um so um it'll be it still will be a first down for Ruckers from there so um he would have had the first down uh Anyway by another by about a yard and a half two yards so um but again I I get it I understand but hey this just gives you a little bit more room to work with you know in reference to uh this next play so um looks like he would be out at around the S and A2 yard line so um and they finished with the review and they giving the announcement yeah seven he stepped out of the seven and a half yard line so um that's where the ball will be marked at and it'll be first and goal still so all right so um when we come back it'll be 8:43 on the on the game in the third quarter left and Ruckers will be on the right hash mark at the seven and a half yard line um they're going to be in a three by one with a wing to the left and kangai to the right of CI Manis and they moved him to the left left and pass out into the flat to um manangi and he's down um tackle looks like for no game but uh there's a Howard Defender Who's down looks like he has a stinger the way his right arm is sitting there um you know they're taking a look at his U it looks like they're looking at his right arm um so but it was a good coverage they were in zone um so now if they were in man then he would have been he would have been um in perfect position for a bigger play um but hey that's what happens they they they mixed it up they changed it to Zone uh and and we're now in the commercial break so um you know again Ruckers is in moving the ball well for the most part um got a little cutesy there but I understood why um moved um moved um manai from the right of C mananas to the left and at the last minute you flashed him out on the snap um with an angle towards the sideline with the receivers um coming in um thinking that the corners and the the DBS were going to stay with the receivers and get a Lineback matched up on him and hopefully get into the touch and get into the end zone but Howard um mixed it up they they gave a zone so um you know very few teams run a Zone in that situation but I do understand you know run the Zone uh in that situation because sometimes you know they have the better Talent it might be easier to play The Zone and there we go so it'll be a um a second down play when we come back from the timeout so um no now I do need Ruckers to put it in the end zone there's no ifans of buts about it this is a touchdown situation um you know based on the positioning of the field you know when we come back you know right now you've been running a ball coach just run it you know try and run it let's see what you can get and um and see if it puts you in a position to get closer to the end zone where you know if you can end up um uh running in in a short yard situation great so um but we'll we'll see when um we come back so some of these commercials are pretty crazy so so um but yeah the new Big 10 very interesting there's um I think every team this weekend every team from the Big 10 is playing this weekend so you know let's see what happens it's 818 left in the third quarter Carson Hinton is a player who went out um he's a senior defensive back from Detroit Michigan so looks like he just has a stinger he's rotating the shoulder so okay Ruckers is one by3 with the wing to the to the right uh Kai with the run outside cut back to the inside good job with the block and in for the end uh tou down great run for uh manangi touchdown run this is what you needed for Ruckers you know at this at this juncture so okay right now Ruckers is up 23 to7 just waiting the outcome of the extra point um they washed the front side did a great job of um sealing the backside and um guy did a great job of cutting and getting into the end zone Patel is lined up for the extra point ball is snapped kick is up and it's good and Ruckers is now up 24-7 over Howard so um great job great uh Drive Great series for H Ruckers um during that during that during that um series um and definitely itely what Ruckers needed uh eight minutes left in the third quarter now if the defense can get a third and out um you know give Ruckers a short field you know maybe we can start to get a little bit more comfortable so but um good job um Bob Manar reading uh the blocking and coming back off of it and pretty much almost walting into the end zone rockers is now up 24 to 7 over Howard so just did a little quick breakdown you know right now 19 carries 165 yards and one TouchDown for manungi in this game so um the 165 yards ties his career high you know it's kind of surprising when you really think about it but you know you would have expected or thought he would have had um definitely would have had a a um situation where he had more yards in the game but no it's not so the ball is kicked and is bouncing on the ground and uh bounc around and Howard had to dive on it and it's about around the 18 yard line so it was a little Squid kick uh action um that uh bounced around in uh Howard had to dive on it at the last minute so um want a quick update uh Wake Forest is leading uh North Carolina entt 13-10 and I'm trying to find um North Dakota state is up over Colorado three and nothing right now in the first quarter so that's what I was looking for I was looking for the Colorado game so um Howard is up first and 10 three by one and what's going on delay a game Howard um so um that's that's that's strange man you come right out of a timeout and you get a delay a game I mean I mean you come right out um from a kickoff and you get a delay a game it's not a good look you know uh common on guys is averaging 8.7 yards a carry right now so so um ball is snapped there's a quick pitch to uh number four pick up of about five yards so it'll be a second and 10 so uh Rucker says 15 first downs in the game third down efficiency they're five of eight they're over for one on fourth down total yards 263 6.6 per touch and and rushing um they're averaging 7.6 total so um Howard is in a two by two with the running back to the right um ball is snapped and the ball is up in the air and it's incomplete say play um and didn't give the quarterback enough window to drop that ball in there so uh it's going to be third and nine when uh on the next snap for Howard uh Ruckers right now you need to get a three and out on this play so um and let's see what's that going to to happen from here so all right so Ruckers third and nine they're lined up looks like they're coming with with a blitz and they are there's the there's the pass and the pass is incomplete and everyone is looking for a flag on the play but uh there isn't anything uh any flag on the play so uh three and out for Ruckers uh I'm sorry for Howard good job by Ruckers to create the three and out so um um you got Christian dremo who's back um looks like he's about the 45 yard line so um so can ruers can we get a punt block right now you got a eight-man up situation looks like they're coming and they miss getting there so Dro fielded the ball at around the 43 yard line so um good punt um by the Howard punter um and good Fielding by Dremel on that on that play so um Ruckers is going to take over over and like I said around their 43 yd line um expecting another drive to get down and put points on the board you know in in in this in this drive here um see if we can get down and now I'll say okay if you get a field goal okay but preferably another touchdown you know that's going to be the job you know personally speaking I still want to see ruers just trying and take the ball off the top one time just give me a deep pass you know just to see forc them to play back because they really haven't done anything they've done some nice crossers maybe 15 close to a 20 yard window is is on some of the passes but you know what I want to see something 30 to 40 yards down the field you know put it down there let's see what diir Miller can do let's send a message not only to Howard to the other teams we will go over the top on you we may not do it often but we're going to do it you know you know on occasion so that's what I want to see but ultimately I want to see Ruckers come down and get points on the board uh so if we can come down and put another seven go up 31 to7 that would be a big thing you know going forward and that would set you up for you know the the fourth quarter you know when you know you'll start to make um more changes you know with a few other younger players you know I would have liked to see more younger players in right now but we're not in that position you know there were SC scoring you know two maybe three other scoring opportunities you know if you have have another 17 points on here you're at 41 to7 which is you know where you would want to be right now at this point in time you know but didn't fall that way you know first game you know a lot of injuries young players you know playing so I get it so you know but we're we're just going to take it from here right now I want to see rers come out drive down this field execute you know you're starting to get your off defensive Rhythm get confident play physical at the point of attack and let's just go from here so um still the same offensive line for Ruckers um in Pierce felt in uh zalinskis aena and uh Needum as the offensive line right now for Ruckers so 707 left in the third quarter Ruckers has a first and 10 um are they at I think they're at the left Center hash here at the 11 one by3 uh looks like the Sam Brown is in at the right uh Howard looks like they're blitzing um so uh he looks like they're going to stay true to it um play action and there's the pass and we didn't have time he did not have time Howard was coming with the blitz uh because you had diir Miller open coming across the field um uh he was trying to get it to him but he had pressure right up in his face um if he had time to sit like he had in the first half I think that's a connection and a big explosive play so um we have to come back and see what happens from here uh we're in a one by3 again um uh with brown to the left of C Manis uh and I'm thinking you're going to run it there is the Run Sam Brown with the Run bouncing off of tackles and looks like he picked up about four yards so it's going to be a third and six um when Ruckers snaps the ball next so um how are they starting to bring blitzes this you know they're starting to try and you know cause um change the the the narrative for Ruckers get the ball out of the running back quarterback's hands and also you know uh get to the running back a lot quicker so um it's a third and six at about the Rucker 46 yd line uh so uh let's see Howard is is playing games there's runs of Sam Brown and he gets across Midfield to about the he's close it's he's going to be short it's going to be fourth and inches I believe and if it is I'm going for it with Ruckers he has fourth in inches uh they're about a half a yard short so um yeah coach uh she is going for it um yeah they're fourth in inches they're short uh let's see what we're going to do yeah they're going to do that that tush push thing again um so Ruckers is lined up we got the referee in there and there it is for Ruckers and they picked up the first down they should have the first down on that play so um I'm trying to see where they're spotting the ball and yeah it's a first down for Ruckers on the play so uh good job good movement up front um you know in terms of getting that that that that that tush push play so I know a lot of teams hate it U but I get the concept of it three by one Ruckers Right Center has brown to the left to C Manis um Howard looks like they're playing some type it looks like cover three or quarters had a cover three and pass was to who was that he dropped the pass he worried about the hit first instead of securing the pass it was Miller uh yeah he started moving before the P before the ball got there he was open yeah you know it's like that's like your fourth pass dropped by the receivers today you know they have to do a better job uh the receivers have to do a better job of securing that would that would give you you know K Manis could be at least a at a 14 of 18 type situation so uh three by one brown to the right and oh no Calli Manis On The Run he's going he's going down the sideline big run by CI Manis got me on that one um that's see what I mean about a you know the quarterback run you know you you surprise the teams um so Brown took it it was like got down 30 yard line so great run great play uh great execution that's what you need that's what you needed in a situation like that so uh it's first and 10 and around the 31 yard line 3 by one uh Brown is to the left of cak Manis so uh Howard looks like they're playing a man concept um so uh there you go there's the pass and who is that um that's stuffed um that that's the other um freshman receiver uh good pickup uh just just a little bit kie Manis has to do a better job of keeping his receivers up you know I see when he get shoots to the outside they have to die for the pass so um it's going to be a second and one uh for Ruckers uh when we come back to action so um it's a one by3 brown to the left of C Manis and the ball is going to be snapped uh split Zone Action Brown to the inside and picks up of about two yards on the play so two two and a half yards so uh ruers is being very methodical it down around 20 yard line 20 to 19 yard line somewhere in that range uh so keep doing what your in 3 minutes left in in the third quarter um so um hopefully they can get down and get points uh get a touchdown off of this drive here so um it's also good because when NY is is not in there he's resting you know so um good job one by three Brown to the left here's the pass up um and to long and uh incomplete C manx was doing the back shoulder um but but long didn't uh adjust accordingly and he fell and the pass dropped out of bounds so um it's going to be a second and 10 um uh CI Manis is now 11 of 20 on the on the night so um yeah I'm not going to call that interference for um Brown because he stuck his hand in there so uh he should have realized that that's what he was going to do that's what a receiver has to understand you know based on The Leverage there's a sportsman like conduct penalty oh they threw that on sh kiano he he wanted an interference oh coach you just took us out of a great scoring opportunity coach I understand you're fighting for your kids I get it but there's a point in a time now there you didn't want it you couldn't do that there that's a penalty for by a coach to take you know if you want to talk to the official Ruckers is now down out around their 35 yard line so um it's third and 25 now you have to play for a field goal so U pass to Sam Brown in the in the flats and oh Sam Brown scores big touchdown pass uh Sam Brown went into the flats uh C Manis just dumped it off to him and it was going to be probably like a five yard catch turned up field and there was no one there and Sam Brown just took off from there and scored on uh basically a 35 yard touchdown pass so um good good play good read by khi Manis uh as I said before uh Howard was playing man you know they've been doing that except when they were down in short yardage so uh TouchDown for Ruckers on that play uh they're now up 30-7 um so uh this is a great opportunity for rck to continue to um push the the envelope uh in this game so uh right now Patel is lining up uh for the uh extra point 233 left in the game uh uh I'm sorry in the quarter and the kick is up and it is good and Ruckers is now up 31-7 so um good I mean good way for the players to make up for the coach um because you know again that was a questionable call you know in terms of the um unsp sportsite conduct um penalty you know you don't want to get those type of calls but now Ruckers is up 31 to7 on Howard you know what they what they need to do so there this is a comfortable lead now you want to still continue to work on things going forward you know but you know Ruckus still needs to put points on the board so um let me see if I can find a little update on points I mean update on scores update on points come on Ed learn how to talk so um let's see wake force is in a fight with uh ncent uh that's in the second quarter um Kansas is up on um North Dakota state is Le in Colorado 10-7 right now so um so and that's in the first quarter so um so uh it's GNA be interesting let me see something um the quarterback for North Dakota state is 6 to7 for 117 yards and one touchdown uh shador Sanders is 44 65 yards and a touchdown so uh ball is kicked off for Ruckers and it's in the end zone so um so um but I'll keep an eye on that and I'll give you guys you know score updates as we and the receiver first down first of all and but he ended up picking up about another seven eight yards um you would have had him right at the sticks but like I said he picked up about enough another six seven yards so first down but for Howard on that play and right now Ruckers needs to do a better job of trying to get off the field Howard at the 42 yard line uh draw and um looks like he got out to around the 48 yard line 40 seconds left in the quarter um har is doing a good job they're going quick Tempo they're lining up and what uh the pass was incomplete all right so they tried to do get a quick pass to ilara uh and it'll be a third down it was a second and four now it'll be a third and four so um Howard is trying is setting up 27 seconds left in the quarter uh play call is being sent in uh it's third and four and Howard is in a three by one um and there was a swi change in personnel and there's a quarterback Reed and the quarterback is short uh picked up one yard should have been a tackle for a loss uh we had them ah actually Kean Hamilton is playing I thought he was out uh you had you had the leverage on him by Igman noon but um poor job so um right now uh this is going to be going into the fourth quarter Masco had a good job on the play so that'll be take it to the fourth quarter so um but again uh good job by Ruckers that that that that that quarter to end up um putting 49 yd line line up in their formation here comes the pressure and wow there's nobody there to catch cover that running back uh wide open in the left in the right Flats pick great pick up for Howard um defensive breakdown man there was a defensive breakdown somewhere that was the running back out of the backfield um uh no one was there to pick up on him and he got the first down um so Howard went from their own 49 to the Ruckers I can't see where they're at right now um they have to do a better job defensively Ruckers is not playing well defensively I'm sorry especially against Howard they're at the H they're at the Ruckers 33 yard line so um quarterback sneaks out and he's on the corner and looks like he picked up about um they gave him the first down 11 yd Run for the quarterback so um they had pressure they they got in there and he slipped it and uh desin oson um took a poor angle he took a poor angle and let the quarterback get outside of him so um and that quarterback picked up 11 yards you know Howard is not giving up so I have to give him credit pardon me definitely uh a good job they're at the Ruckers 22 yard line motion across um they're attacking the flats and that should be a hold and did he catch it no it's out of bounds I mean incomplete sorry um so it's going to be a second down quarterback look like he had to change his jersey number he's now wearing number one he almost had it oh he dropped it if he had a maintained good job by Tod Sanders for knocking it away but if he could have secured it that would have been the touchdown um Rucker playing well defensively and this is going to be a problem going forward so uh Howard is switching over to that touchdown formation motion across that should be that should they ran inside Zone but that that should be a legal shift they were not set for a second good all right referees gave it to him so looks like he picked up about six yards on the play so again Ruckers is there Howard is Che is is attacking them they were really attacking them and Ruckers is not able to stop them so he has a pickup of about six yards it looks like and now he picked up another two yards it was three yards so it's a going to be a third and one third and one for Howard at the Ruckers 13 yd line rough round uh I'm sorry fourth down he said it's fourth down so if I'm Howard yet I'm going for it it's fourth and one so Ruckers is lined up there's the run to the running back and did he get it did he get it did he get it this referee coming in looks like he's giving it to uh oh no they said Ruckers football they said Ruckers football uh okay I I thought at first they didn't get the first down but the way the referee on that side was coming in it looked like he was marking it as a first down so um good stop by the defense yeah they did stop him that's what I thought so good job by the defense you know not letting them score points uh Howard you know they they they're they're there just to score the touchdown you know they didn't want to kick the field goal and I don't blame him you know so what is it what is it going to do so now Ruckers um take this ball let's see if you can go down now and really put the nail in the coffin you know 317 let's see if we can make it a 387 game um you know so you're not going to cover the spread but let's see if you can you know move it down the field and put points on the board because um you know this is going to set a precedent this is going to send a a big message to your team going forward you know right now you're roughly you know in in around your 10 yard line between your 10 and your 15 so let's see if you can take this ball and move all the way down the field and score score something preferably a touchdown but at least get a field goal you know I I don't want to see a punt you know I I don't want to see that I don't want to see you go down and you score and put um put a touchdown on the board um in reference to this so um but again uh kudos to the defense for stop stopping them there so um and just a quick update Colorado is now on um 14-1 at the end of the first quarter so um just wanted to give a quick update there and no other major games that really want to talk about um so but yeah um oh yeah I was talking about that andc wake for it Wake Forest is also up on North Carolina entt at the half 17 to 10 so um but you that like I said that's pretty much it you know I'm not really going to be diving too much into any other games cuz there's not too many major games to talk about so um but uh what's your guys thoughts on this game so far you know give me your opinion so um looks like KY man guy is done for the day um looks like he's on the sideline rers is going to be starting at their own 13 yard line uh they're going to be in a 2 by two formation um you're going to have looks was that brown Sam [Music] Brown yes C man is still in there um yeah you know if we can go down and score points and this will get C Manis out of the game and some of your your veteran your offensive lineman so U motion across with Miller and there go Sam Brown uh and good pickup uh pick up of about six yards on the play Let the offensive line develop uh the blocks and then attack the the the the alley that they gave you so um uh it's going to be a second down should be a second and four uh Second and five and they gave him five yards so um I'm surprised rers is also not using their uh headset um because you can so two by two right in the middle of the field Brown to the left of cmis motion across with dremel and there goes Brown with the run and looks like he picked up another six yards so it's going to be a first down for Ruckers and that is a Ruckers first down uh uh so 1140 in county in the game um Ruckers leading 317 over Howard um call Manis 11 to 21 124 yards one touchdown so um still four T four drops there so rers in one by three tight end to the right uh Brown To the Left To CI Manis and here they come with the blitz um brown right up the gut and looks like he picks up about another five yards so um they moved C Manis mov Brown over to his right uh because he read the Blitz and uh Brown was able to pick up five yards on that play because they were going to uh probably stop it um for No Gain um previously so um so Ruckers is second down in about five uh and it's 10:45 left in the game uh 3 by one tight end to the left Brown to the left uh switch over to the right and there he goes Brown right up the middle for another pickup of six yards so r c man is is starting to read what Howard is doing defensively so and he's just really uh flipping the the running backs to attack the alley so uh good job in terms of reading what's going on up front so um it's going to be a first and 10 uh 1010 left in the game uh Brown will be to the left of cing Manis uh on the next snap uh it's a 2 by two with a tight end tight Wing to the right and S looking to the sideline and looks like they're going with the play they're checking it off two seconds one second ball is snapped there goes [Music] Brown and shano took the timeout all right so he didn't just want to chance it and I understand that was on Kell M he should not have check checked he should have left to be um if you look to the sideline you know and and they didn't change it then you stay with it you know no matter what you know you were doing good prior to that so um but uh again um this is just the first game so you know takes time to get acclimated to what's going on I get it I understand so um but um r is starting to move the ball a little bit um let me see exactly where they are they were about the recers 35 it says no I thought they [Music] were okay I think they're at the 35 I'm going to wait till we come back from the timeout but um Ruckus is starting to move the ball um let's to take a look at the stats here here you know um uh ruers 234 yards rushing 124 yards passion uh 358 yards in total offense and then they're starting to take control 234 while Howard has 244 in total offense 154 rushing 90 uh passing swagin is 12 of 20 90 yards one interception kie Manis is 12 of 21 124 yards two touchdowns scogin has 11 carries 76 yards um Hunter has 12 carries 40 yards James has seven carries 35 yards joerger has one carry eight yards hawth one for three uh elizar one for zero manangi one for 19 carries for 165 yards one touchdown Brown 10 carries for 41 yards and CI Manis four carries for 28 yards um many people say C Manis is not a running quarterback but this is showing he can while he's not in the same level as Gavin wiset he's still an effective quarterback in the Run game receiving haor three uh two receptions 21 yards Hunter two receptions 16 yards James two receptions 10 yards um Elara three for nine Clark one for five Miller four for seven for 37 uh four for seven four for 37 one touchdown brown one for 34 one touchdown Fletcher sh three for 38 strong for one for 12 long one for four and Nar one for zero so you know that's your stat breakdown right now for you know this team right for the game right now so uh Ruckers is lined up it is first and 10 at the 35 yard line brown flips over um Cali Manis takes off with the run and he picks up uh 11 yard slid late um where the defender ended up on top of him so don't blame the defender the quarterback slid late and slid right into the defender so good read though for Kelly Manis um to take off and get down 11 yards [Music] so run is doing a good job uh they have a new left tackle in um I have to check in and see who that is um three by one with the wing to the uh left Brown to the left CI Manis drops back and throws a pass and there you go keep your your player up um who who caught that pass I couldn't see okay Ian Strong caught the pass it looks like it's about a eight nine yard pickup um so um I will say this um when you play better teams strong cannot just stand there he has to fight back for the ball because um better teams are going to be able to undercut that so it's second and two um it's a 2 by two with a wing to the right Brown to the left to ccmis uh Howard is showing motion across with dremel and there's the Run by Brown and looks like he's going to fall forward and pick up of about two three looks like he's going to get about four yards four maybe five yards so uh good run by Brown especially when he falls forward to get the first down so and that's another Rucker's first down so um 811 in cting in the in the game first and 10 Ruckers um Ruckers is lining up and they're at the 42 yd line of Howard same formation Brown to the left wing to the right and motion across with dral in the orbit and brown uh oops fate to um Brown and uh dip uh dump off pass is that kanaka that's kanaka split Zone dump off to kanaka and looks like Kaka will get another Ruckers first down so um good job good pickup um and good blocking on the outside and looks like he got down to about the 30 yard line so it's going to be a first and 10 for Ruckers on this play 7 23 in counting um this front line is doing a good job of uh controlling the front um one by3 with the wing to the right Brown to the left bumped over to the right and there's the hand off to brown right up the gut pick up of about six yards now this offens of line is really starting to impose its will now mind you Howard is getting tired that's pretty that's what it boils down to Howard is tired so now you're just able to you know really push them and impose your will so um so um but you have your um starting offensive line except for your your right T I think that's um it's one by3 with the wing to the left Brown bumped over to the right I'm sorry to Brown um CI Manis On The Run uh he faked the run to a hand off to Brown and did he get the um signals first down so uh good run by K Manis on this on um on this play uh need to do a better job of you know sliding but um you know either sliding or diving for the first down don't don't give up your body like that so um but uh three by one brown to the 3 by one brown to the left uh Wing is to that left side um there's the hand off to Brown and there's a good run and a pickup of about five yards for Brown so they're methodically chipping away at Howard so um you know I'm looking at Howard a lot of guys with hands on their hips so 533 left in the game um 25 seconds left on the play clock um Ruckers is just taking its time um you know playing their brand of football this is what they want this is the way they want to play just be very methodical run the football you know pass only dump allall pass 3 by one round to the right um are they going to bump him over bump Brown over to the left here goes Brown right up the gut and brown is fighting and he's pushing and it looks like he picked up of about uh about 14 yards on the play looks like he's down to about the three yard line so uh good run um from the 15 uh I'm sorry yeah I said 14 yeah down to about yeah about the three two two and a half so um uh good job good run good run by Brown uh good setup let his offensive line set the blocking up it's a first and goal um you know they at the three yards so that was a 12 yard run uh one by three Brown to the right um there goes Cali Manis on the pass to Fletcher in for a touchdown and a three- yard touchdown pass so touchdown how are Ruckers on the play so uh good job uh for Ruckers moving down the field on that uh do I would I do I wish it would have went to Brown yeah but I understand why um they did so uh split Zone definitely you know worked effectively on their drive along with the uh run action so um good job good TouchDown for Kenny Fletcher I believe that's his first one as a um on the offensive side of the ball as a um tight end um J Patel is lining up for the extra point ball is snacked and it's up and the extra point is good and Ruckers is now leading 38 to7 on Howard um good job um on that on that series on that drive for Ruckers um looks like it's 48 left in the game so good job uh overall records is now at 276 rushing um CI Manis 15 of 24 147 yards three touchdowns um Sam Brown is 14 carries 68 yards CI Manis six carries 43 yards along with um manuna 165 yards so um and in terms of receiving uh Kenny Fletcher now is up for four receptions 31 yards one touchdown so um an efficient day um and not overly impressive you know but this is Ruckers brand of football so uh Ruckers continues to um just chip away and play his brand the football so um now I am expecting to see a lot more over these last four minutes a lot more younger kids out here playing you know for Ruckers because they can do that now so um so we'll we'll see what happens going forward you know in reference to this so um and where's that Colorado North Dakota state is on top of Colorado 1714 so um it's a tough one you know in terms of um Colorado uh they don't have any defense right now so um but it is what it is so um later on in Big 10 play uh UNC will be at Minnesota on F on the Fox network um sou Utah will host South Florida on ESPN plus um on a couple of the late night games so um but Ruckers is now in control of this game um you know doing pretty much everything they they need to do um to in this second half I think they've what scored 21 points yes 21 points in the second half so um you know uh they have 26 uh first downs to 13 for Howard so right there when you see that that let you know that that's a big big thing in terms of the um the way the game is being played Ruckers is just being physical and they're they're controlling the line of scrimmage you know Howard though like I said ear is tiring out U and Ruckers is taking advantage of that so I can't blame Ruckers uh I Can't Blame Howard I mean you know uh Ruckers has the is the bigger team the stronger team and they have more Talent so uh the ball is kit and it's out of b um recovered and stepped out at around the 15 yard line so um you have to the young man needed to understand you need to step out of balance first then um then touch the football if you do that and secure the football then it's a penalty on the kicking team so how it will begin at their 15 yard line and you know um I will give them credit they're not quitting you know no matter what they're not quitting so um they're going to keep fighting keep doing what they what they need to do um in terms of you know playing um football so uh it's first and 10 you still have a lot of starters as far as the linebackers um in the first level um you have second string quarterback in there and Kenny uh I mean not Kenny um Thompson and Lewis are still in as a St in um defensive ends um hawthor can't has to come off his helmet came off so um so CL is stopped and you're waiting for a replacement so so here we go clock is started uh one by three running back is to the right of the quarterback and again like I said um you have a lot of starters in there um uh uh um Lewis U with the tackle uh of the running back for a loss on the play um so um there we go um a third and 10 um for Howard um so i' I'd like to get Lewis out of there I know you need to work you want to work on the pass rush um but you know he's in so you keep him in let him keep going so um look guys don't sleep on the quarterback running the football um you know there there there's the ball in the air and the pass is overthrown um and falls out of bounds so it's now so um what is how we're going to do are you going to go for it um or are you going to punt the ball um looks like they're going to punt the ball so um so Ruckers now are they going to continue to work their punt block um Concepts uh so Howard is just getting last man in um 133 seconds on the play clock and they hold him because of substitution uh Ruckers is ready and the ball's away on the punt Dremel with the reception and looks like he's down at around the 38 yd line uh so good fielding and looks like he returned that about uh 14 yards so U but Ruckers will have it uh first and 10 um when we come back to action um so uh I do expect to see a quarterback change uh right now I'm not expecting to see cik Manis in there so uh let's see what happens so all right so 302 left in the quarter U like I said I'm expecting to see a quarterback change let's see what happens um okay they're showing longer Bean for some reason I can't I mean I don't know why I mean again uh yeah you have uh a Johnny in there now a quarterback you're running two by two in a tight uh concept um and there's a handoff oh oh there goes Raymond on the run there uh Broke Free and at last second of shooring tackle so knocked over a Defender and if he didn't get Sho string tackle he was going for the touchdown uh so uh good job up front uh same formation um right in the middle of the field um there's the handoff and he stumbles and Falls um down on that play pick up of about a yard um for Raymond so uh I was uh Shepard would have kept the ball on that cuz uh he had the outside angle on that so but I get it I understand Shepard is 6 for2 233 from the Bronx New York so um the only time the other time he appeared was against um Wagner last year so U but it's always good when you when you have this opportunity so you know let young men develop and get better so uh we're down to the two-minute warning uh in the game so Ruckers is up 38-7 um it's a second and eight uh for for they gave him a two yards so it's a second and eight so um I figure same formation same play just do the same thing don't what's up tudo thanks for being here brother um you know much love and respect uh yeah please subscribe and hit that our boys are doing well too though um you know could they have done a lot better yes but overall 387 pretty much controlling the narrative um manun got 165 yards rushing so a dominant game um for him um so uh but again Ruckers you know MC opponent um I don't think coach uh here's the other thing I know coach um shano knows their head coach and he's worked with him so I don't think he's trying to in a sense run up the score he's just going to play you know basic football from here you know getting guys some action uh letting them go out there and you know try and get some you know experience in playing at the college level especially with a lot of the younger kids so um and it will help Ruckers going forward in the long run so you don't always need to see a 50 to nothing game you know you know you if you see a game like this yeah you know the odds makers will say Ruckers didn't cover and you know you're going to question things but in the same token Ruckus needs to clean up some things but in uh they also took control of this game and did what they needed to do so um it's perfect it it's it's a it's a good game uh it's not the greatest of games for Ruckers but it is a good game so um uh you know three passing touchdowns for CI Manis now again like I said four drop passes his numbers could be a little bit better but you know he's an e an efficient quarterback you know and that's all I need from him so all right two minutes when the ball is snapped a Johnny at the quarterback position uh two by two tight formation um and there's the run right up in the gut looks like it's going to be a pickup of about three yards um you have um wholesale changes on the offensive line too so um you know Taj R is in there chin um trying to see some of the guys that are in there uh so but again these guys need this experience uh so again it's a 3 by one with the wing to the left running back to the right just run it just run it don't pass it maybe do a quarterback a Johnny Shepard on the run and it's um a pick up of about four yards so it's going to be a fourth and one uh so um good job right there um I don't know who to Howard took a timeout so that's fine you know Howard taking a timeout let's see what we can do Howard should take the time out because you're going to try and say if we can stop him then it becomes a turnover and down have two timeouts and maybe we can get down the field and maybe we can score a touchdown because that's that's what you're working for right now you want to have small victories within the full concept of the game so right now the first Victory will be causing forcing Ruckers to do it uh go for um a turnover on Downs Ruckers for that matter you know they're not going to kick the field goal they're just going to try and uh get the first down and then you can take it from there maybe kneeling the game out uh so that's all you would do so uh so we're lined up right now uh looks like it's same formation two by two tight two by two um here's the run and Howard stopped him and for a loss of two in the back field they blissed the safety again and made the play just like in the first half um so good job for Howard turning the ball over turning the D um turnover on Downs 113 left in the uh game uh so uh but again you know D um hey that DB new just Blitz that Gap that's what you're looking for at attack it and force a turnover uh on down so um so again right Ruckers is also making whole shell changes on on the defensive side of the ball you need these guys to get some experience so let's see what happens so uh but kudos to Howard defense on that on that on that play there so um so congrats to them so um but right now Howard is lining up still your starting offense in there um guys are getting lined up def defensively uh they're lined up dropping back there's a pass over the middle and it looks like it's a pickup of about uh 15 yards so uh good play with a nice in Cut uh concept uh 16 yards that they gave him so um two by two uh in a spread uh concept spread offense Ruckers is just showing a cover two look uh from there so um and pass dump off pass to the running back and it's in complete so it'll be a second and 10 for uh Ruckers uh 54 seconds left in the game uh they're at R Howard is what they're at their I believe they're at their 30 yard line so um 23 seconds left on the play clock and ruers is like yeah they're at their 30 yard line they're playing cover two and there goes the first sack in the game so good good job by Ruckers on on the sack so um is how we're taking a time out and number 82 let me see who number 82 is for Ruckers so you got me there and defensive line Jordan Walker Junior Rochester New York so Milford Academy okay um here we go so uh good job good sack um by Mr um Walker so um so that that takes them pushes them back some forces them to take a timeout um which is all we would want them to do we just want to run this clock out now um if we can you know if you can get a turnover you know that'll help us just kneel the game out uh so that way it'll be official so um you know they're waiting for it to get the next game on Eastern Illinois at Illinois um that'll be next rers is lined up third and 20 uh they're dropping into coverage the ball was fumbled by the quarterback and throws it to number zero and he's tackled in the field of play and 33 seconds left in the in the game what he can get um looks like he picked up about seven eight yards on the play I no he got um 10 yards so um here's a deep pass and the pass is incomplete so we're going to have a turnover and downs for Ruckers so um just going to kneel it out for Ruckers 15 seconds left in the in the game um you know good job you know in terms of the defense so um ultimately this is going to be a final for me so I'm just going to type it out as a final um Ruckers will win this game 38-7 against Howard um uh so you have alvari chin salami alvari uh in the game right now so um as the offensive line just going to go in and uh kneel it out that's all you need to do just come in and kneel it out coach don't do do anything too crazy so U but again like I said this is going to be a final you know Ruckers is going to be Howard oh they they they hand they handed the ball off and he ran out of bounds and he ran out of bounds I was not at 50 coach why didn't you just take the knee that I don't agree with I mean you're supposed to just take a knee coach one knee would have just ended the game oh Howard has two timeouts maybe that's why you're saying that all right three by two um you're lining up now if he had have stayed in bounds that would have been it so um there's oh wow and he scores and he scores I would have loved to him just to you know just take a couple of hits and then just drop to the ground so that okay so it's um 44 I mean there was some Miss tackles so I I can't blame him completely but you know what once you got down there you know so final score is 44 they didn't kick the extra point you know they just ended it there so um 44 to7 uh Ruckers weats Howard so um um Rucker still didn't discover this cover the spread the spread was 38 a half U they scored with at 37 so um I mean again there's a lot of things to clean up for Ruckers you know you know um you have some young linebackers who you know we out of assignment some blown coverages you know going into next week you know against akan that's what Ruckers is going to have to clean up you see the biggest jump from your first week to your second week so you know Howard is still a decent team you know in the Mak you know like I said um I think I believe they won the the conference last year so you know I do have respect for them as as a as a program um you know offensively you know some of the drop passes with the receivers some of a few Miss blocks you know um you know it could have been a totally different outcome in the game so but again it's still a good thing to Come Away with the ren you know I'll see you know later if there's any major uh injuries I don't believe there were you know any major injuries um for either team but you know right now for Ruckers I don't believe there is you know next week um uh next Saturday they host acarine so you know you actually have an extra two days during this time frame you know to recover you know get guys rested up and you know get ready for the Akon game before you go on a buy so um but again like I said there's some things to clean up you know especially in the passing game I think overall Ruckers will you know will be be better you know um going into the next game um here's a final stat um breakdown uh CI Manis was 15 to 24 147 strong two receptions 20 yards uh kakka one reception 12 yards long one reception four yards manungi one reception uh no yards for Howard um shagin was 14 of 25 112 yards 4.5 average one interception one sack uh jger 0 of one scrogin hit 12 carries 67 yards five yards three yards James eight carries 33 yards 4.1 one touchdown Jagger one reception on one carry eight yards Williams one carry four yards poror one carry two yards ilara one carry zero yards Williams three receptions 40 yards uh 13 yard average ilara four receptions 25 yards 6.2 average Hawthorne um two receptions 21 yards 10 and
