it has been a little over 24 hours since the presidential debate and the polls reveal that majority of people thought that Kamala Harris wiped the floor with the former president however Trump's reaction was not entirely unexpected as the whole world watched vice president Kamala Harris repeatedly bait him taunt and oppose lots of his outlandish opinions and claims Donald Trump was fired by 81 million people so let's be clear about that and clearly he is having a very difficult time processing that how is Trump going to recover from this now that some Republicans are starting to openly support Kamala Harris sore loser Trump takes Harris bait it is barely 24 hours after the presidential debate between Donald Trump and kamla Harris and Trump is losing his mind over the outcome of the debate polls the debate was a showdown that had everyone on the edge of their seats according to a flash poll conducted by CNN about two-thirds of Voters believe Kamala Harris won the debate that's right 63% of the viewers thought Harris came out on top while only 3 7% sided with Trump this is a complete turnaround from what we saw earlier this year when Trump was leading in the polls CNN's political director David challan noted that before the debate expectations were evenly split afterward Harris's favorability Rose to 45% while trumps fell to 39% mainly due to Independent voters challan said her favorability went up six points while trumps dropped by two a flash poll showed that 42% of viewers thought Harris had a better plan for solving the country's problems compared to 33% for Trump one focus group member highlighted Harris's optimism respectfulness and clear plans the recent presidential debate was nothing short of a spectacle with kamla Harris and Donald Trump clashing over some highly sensitive issues however the debate took a significant turn when Trump questioned Harris's racial identity a topic that has been a point of contention for some time now during the debate Trump was asked by moderator David mure why he felt it was appropriate to comment on Harris's Heritage Trump's response was dismissive and nonchalant this was about his earlier comments where he accused Harris of turning black for political gain Trump added these comments were not new Trump had previously made similar remarks at the National Association of black journalists convention in Chicago Trump made some shocking statements that left many people stunned he said I didn't know she was black until several years ago when she happened to turn black and now she wants to be known as black so I don't know is she Indian or is she black these words were not only false but also deeply offensive Trump didn't stop there he went on to add she was Indian all the way and then all of a sudden she made a turn and she went she became a black person kamla Harris has always identified as both Indian and black embracing both cultures throughout her life her mother shamala gopalan was an Indian immigrant and her father Donald Harris is of Jamaican descent Harris has never hidden her dual Heritage and her identity has been a source of Pride for many after Trump doubled down on his comments Harris didn't stay silent she fired back accusing Trump of using race to divide Americans Harris said honestly I think it's a tragedy that we have someone who wants to be president who has consistently over the course of his career attempted to use race to divide the American people I think the American people want better than that want better than this her response resonated with many who are tired of the divisive rhetoric and are looking for Unity and respect he said she was only promoting Indian Heritage I didn't know she was black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn black and now she wants to be known as black even questioned is she Indian or is she black for those who might not know kamla Harris's mother was Indian and her father is Jamaican making her both kamla Harris did not take these comments lightly she used the debate platform to address Trump's divisive history with race calling it tragic Harris highlighted Trump's discriminatory practices against black people looking to live in one of his father's buildings but the most shocking part of her response came when she brought up Trump's role in the infamous Central Park 5 case let's rewind to 1989 the Central Park 5 case involved four black teenagers and a Latino teen who were false ly accused of raping a jogger in Central Park Trisha mey a 28-year-old investment banker went for a jog in Central Park she was brutally attacked bludgeoned with a rock gagged tied up and left for dead her unconscious body was discovered hours later suffering from hypothermia and severe brain damage the city was in shock and the New York Police Department was under immense pressure to find the culprits that same night a group of more than 30 youths entered Central Park from East Harlem among them were Yousef Salam Raymond Santana Kevin Richardson Antron McCrae and Corey wise these teenagers aged 14 to 16 were African-American and Hispanic the police quickly rounded them up suspecting them of being involved in the attack on M Lee the boys were interrogated for hours without lawyers or their parents present under immense pressure and fear they were coerced into giving false confessions they later recanted but the damage was done the media frenzy was intense and the city was on edge desperate for justice the case was a media sensation and Trump played a significant role in fueling The public's outrage he took out a full- page advertisement in New York City Newspapers calling for the return of the death penalty for these teenagers fast forward to 2002 Matias Reyes a convicted serial rapist and murderer came forward and confessed to the crime DNA evidence confirmed his involvement and the convictions of the Central Park 5 were vacated they had spent years in prison for a crime they didn't commit despite their convictions being overturned years later Trump has never apologized he has consistently refused to walk back his comments arguing that the teenagers had admitted guilt during the debate Trump continued his refusal to apologize he said they admitted they said they pled guilty and I said well if they plad guilty they badly hurt a person killed a person ultimately he added that a lot of people agreed with his actions back then however the truth is far from what Trump claims DNA evidence later linked a serial rapist to the crime and the teenagers spent years behind bars before their convictions were vacated in 2002 New York City later paid them 41 Mill million in il legal settlement one of the men Yousef Salam who is now a New York City council member condemned Trump's comments during the recent Democratic National Convention Salam said 45 wanted us un alived he wanted us dead today we are exonerated Because the actual perpetrator confessed and DNA proved it that guy says he still stands by the original guilty verdict Harris used this moment to emphasize that the American people deserve better she said I think the American people want better than that want better than this one of the moderators brought back the issue of Trump's stolen election claims and how Trump has propagated that gospel at most of his rallies it was almost as if he was living in an alternate reality where facts didn't matter despite numerous court rulings recounts and investigations affirming Joe Biden's Victory Trump continues to assert that the election was stolen from him through widespread voter fraud these baseless claims have not only captivated his supporters but also fueled a wave of misinformation that has had profound consequences in the months leading up to the election Trump began sewing seeds of doubt about the voting process he frequently targeted mailin ballots which were used extensively due to the covid-19 pandemic claiming they were particularly susceptible to fraud however multiple studies and investigations found no evidence to support these assertions the cyber security and infrastructure Security Agency cisa even described the 2020 election as the most secure in American history on Election night as results favored Biden Trump prematurely declared Victory and accused Democrats of trying to steal the election his claim led to Legal challenges but most were dismissed for lack of evidence including by judges appointed by Trump trump and his supporters also accused Dominion voting systems of rigging machines to switch votes to Biden but Audits and recounts debunked this Dominion has since filed defamation lawsuits against several individuals and media Outlets that promoted these false claims Trump urged Georgia's Secretary of State to overturn the results but was refused on January 6th 2021 his supporters stormed the capital resulting in deaths and damage highlighting the danger of misinformation afterward Trump faced a second impeachment for incitement of insurrection though the Senate acquitted him even out of office he continues pushing false claims leading to voting restrictions and debates about voter suppression let's look at the facts behind this claim first let's talk about the lawsuits Trump and his allies filed more than 50 lawsuits across Six States aiming to overturn the results of the 2020 election these lawsuits were dismissed by state and federal courts due to a lack of substantial evidence the courts found that the allegations of election misconduct and fraud were thinly supported and did not hold up under scrutiny an Associated Press investigation found fewer than 475 cases of voter fraud and six Battleground States during the 2020 presidential election to put that in perspective Arizona had the highest number of potential fraud cases with 198 out of 3.4 million votes cast that amount of potential fraud cases comprised less than 2% % of the margin by which Biden won in Nevada local officials identified between 93 and 98 potential fraud cases out of 1.4 million ballots cast this represents less than onethird of 1% of Biden's margin of Victory these numbers are far too small to have made any difference in the outcome of the election Trump has also continued to falsely claim he won the 2020 election in Pennsylvania Wisconsin and Michigan but the numbers tell a different story in Pennsylvania Biden won by 81,7 60 votes in Michigan Biden won by about 21,000 votes in Wisconsin Biden won by more than 20,000 votes these margins are significant and cannot be attributed to voter fraud the United States National Intelligence Council which includes the country's intelligence and security agencies announced in 2021 that it found no indications that any foreign actor attempted to alter any technical aspect of the voting process in the 2020 elections this means that no interference from foreign entities could have impacted the election results in response to Trump's fraudulent election claims Harris delivered a line that would reverberate Across the Nation Harris's statement was more than just a clever jab it was a powerful reminder of the 2020 election results 81 million people had voted for Joe Biden effectively firing Trump from the presidency this was a fact that Trump had struggled to accept despite numerous State investigations dozens of court cases being thrown out and even officials from his administration confirming the election was fair Trump continued to deny his loss he claimed the election was riddled with fraud particularly due to mailin ballots which were more prevalent because of the Corona virus pandemic but these claims have been debunked time and time again but Harris wasn't having any of it she made it crystal clear that Trump was fired by the American people and he's struggling to come to terms with it the debate itself was a spectacle Trump and Harris went head-to-head on various issues but it was Harris's line about Trump being fired by 81 million people who stole the show it was a Moment of clarity and a sea of political rhetoric kamla Harris even went lower by taking aim at Donald Trump's rallies in a scathing critique she painted a vivid picture of events that are far from the electrifying spectacles Trump often touts according to Harris these rallies are not just boring they are a chaotic mix of bizarre topics and disorganized crowds leaving many attendees feeling disillusioned and exhausted Harris's comments came during a heated presidential debate on September 11th 2024 she urged voters to attend one of Trump's rallies but not for the reasons you might expect instead of witnessing a powerful political movement Harris suggested that attendees would find themselves trapped in a never-ending monologue filled with outlandish claims and irrelevant anecdotes one of the most shocking examples Harris provided was Trump's tendency to ramble about Hannibal lecor the fictional cannibal from the movie Silence of the Lambs imagine going to a political rally expecting to hear about policies and plans for the future only to be subjected to a discussion about a fictional character known for his gruesome crimes it's almost surreal but according to Harris this is the kind of content that fills Trump's speeches but it doesn't stop there Harris also highlighted Trump's pension for spouting wild conspiracies one of the most unbelievable claims she mentioned was Trump's assertion that windmills cause cancer this conspiracy theory has been debunked numerous times yet Trump continues to bring it up much to the bewilderment of his audience Harris used this example to underscore the absurdity of Trump's rallies and to question his grasp on reality Harris's critique didn't just focus on the content of Trump's speeches she also aimed at the atmosphere of the rallies she described them as chaotic and disorganized with people Milling around aimlessly and looking for an excuse to leave it's a far cry from the energized and enthusiastic crowds that Trump often boasts about according to Harris many attendees leave early due to exhaustion and boredom unable to endure the endless rambling and lack of coherent messaging the imagery Harris used was striking she painted a picture of people who come to the rallies with high expectations only to be let down by the disjointed and bizarre nature of the event these attendees she suggested are not just a few isolated cases but a significant number of people who find themselves disillusioned by The Experience they come expecting a political rally but end up feeling like they're stuck in a never-ending monologue that leaves them mentally and physically drained in defense Trump took kamala's bait and went on a tie rate of false claims and quickly got fact checked by both Kamala and the moderators Trump fact checked repeatedly after Kamala mocked Trump's rallies Trump in an attempt to Pivot back to the topic of immigration dropped a bombshell claim which has since been Amplified by his running mate Senator JD Vance of Ohio during his first debate against vice president kamla Harris Trump made an outlandish statement that Haitian immigrants in Springfield have been abducting and eating their neighbors pets Yes you heard that right he said in Springfield they're eating the dogs the people that came in they're eating the cats they're eating they're eating the pets of the people that live there this statement left everyone including his opponent Kamala Paris in disbelief local officials have found no evidence credible reports or specific claims of pets being harmed by Haitian residents none whatsoever when debate moderator David mure pointed out the lack of evidence Trump doubled down saying he got his information from the people on television saying my dog was taken and used for food this statement Drew laughter from Harris who called Trump's comments extreme and one of the reasons she has the endorsements of 200 Republicans JD Vance first claimed Haitian immigrants on Monday saying it's coming to your city next the Trump campaign even released a news statement recounting these falsehoods however Vance seemed to backtrack on Tuesday Morning in a social post saying his office had received many inquiries about the false claims but added that it's possible of course that all of these rumors will turn out to be false but Trump's rant didn't stop there he doubled down on his baseless accusation saying I've heard from many people many credible sources that this is happening it's a disgrace and we need to do something about it kamla Harris still chuckling resp responded Mr Trump there is no evidence to support your claim this is nothing but a baseless rumor and it's dangerous to spread such misinformation the debate moderators quickly fact checked Trump's statement NBC News the New York Times and other reputable sources have already debunked the claim there was no evidence that Haitian immigrants in Ohio were eating pets local authorities had confirmed that this was nothing more than a false rumor Kamala haris now composed took the opportunity to address the audience directly this is exactly why we need to be vigilant about the information we consume she said spreading false claims like this only serves to divide us and create unnecessary fear we must rely on facts and evidence not baseless rumors kamla Harris also used the opportunity to defend her immigration Record She highlighted her tenure as California attorney general where she successfully prosecuted gangs involved in drug smuggling and human trafficking Harris accused Trump of exacerbating the Border crisis by killing a bipartisan Senate Bill aimed at tougher Asylum standards and increased border security to get to the bottom of this shocking claim ABC launched an extensive factchecking process the Network's investigative team reached out to various sources including local authorities animal shelters and Community leaders in Springfield Ohio they also reviewed police reports and News archives to find any evidence that could support Trump's statement next ABC's investigative team spoke with Community leaders and residents in Springfield many residents expressed their disbelief and frustration over Trump's statement they stated that the claim was not not only false but also harmful as it painted a negative and inaccurate picture of migrants in their Community ABC's factchecking team also reached out to BBC verify which had previously confirmed that there were no credible reports of migrants eating pets in Springfield BBC verifi spokesperson stated we conducted a thorough investigation and found no evidence to support the claim it appears to be based on anecdotal reports and not unverified facts now Trump did not just stop there he also pivoted into claims that democ rats want to kill already born babies this isn't the first time Trump has made such a claim he has used this line of attack multiple times to paint Democrats as extreme on Reproductive Rights but let's get to the facts ABC news anchor Lindsay Davis was quick to fact check Trump in real time during the debate she pointed out that there is no state in Te the United States where it is legal to kill a baby after birth this is simply not true a report from kff earlier this year also confirmed that abortions after birth are illegal in every state so where did this claim come from Trump's assertion seems to trace back to a controversial statement made by former Virginia governor Ralph noram in 2019 noram who is also a pediatric neurologist was discussing how to care for an infant born with fatal complications his comments were taken out of context and have since been used to fuel false narratives Northam faced significant backlash at the time but his statement was never about supporting the killing of already born babies vice president kamla Harris didn't hold back during the debate she called Trump's claim insulting to the women of of America Harris emphasized that nowhere in America is a woman carrying a pregnancy to term and then asking for an abortion it's simply not happening Harris's strong rebuttal aimed to set the record straight and highlight the absurdity of Trump's accusations let's look at some statistics to understand the reality of abortion in the United States according to the Pew Research Center the overwhelming majority of abortions 93% take place during the first trimester only 1% occur after 21 weeks and most of those occur before 4 weeks which is around the timeline for fetal viability these numbers show that late term abortions are extremely rare an analysis from KF earlier this year noted that later abortions are not only rare but also expensive and offered by relatively few providers these later procedures often occur because of medical complications or because patients face barriers earlier in their pregnancies this context is crucial to understanding why Trump's claims are not just false but also misleading despite these facts Trump has continued to use this false claim as a political weapon he has offered mixed messages about abortion throughout his campaign on one hand he brags about his role in overturning Ro v Wade on the other hand he appears to backpedal on the issue likely because polling shows it's a liability for Republicans this inconsistency has left many voters confused about Trump's true stance on abortion when asked if he would sign a National Abortion ban into law Trump declined to get specific Harris warned that if elected Trump will sign a National Abortion ban Trump has repeatedly called for leaving abortion policy to the States but anti-abortion rights activists within the Republican base are pushing for National restrictions this internal conflict within the Republican Party adds another layer of complexity to the issue in one exchange during the debate Trump reiterated his pledge not to sign a National Abortion ban it's a lie I'm not signing a ban and there's no reason to sign a ban he said he added that the issue has now been taken over by the states the media couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation Trump's running mate Ohio Senator JD Vance has said he would veto such a law but Trump claimed he hadn't discussed it with Vance he suggested that Democrats would never get the votes to pass a bill enshrining abortion rights adding to the confusion the historical Showdown Trump versus Harris the presidential debate has undoubtedly shaken up the political landscape with the election just around the corner the impact of this debate could be significant The Flash pole results show a clear shift in public opinion favoring Harris over Trump the fact that this is a dramatic turnaround from earlier polls and could influence the outcome of the election has Trump unsettled starting with Kamala Harris's 2024 policy agenda it has shaken things up and it's packed with some jaw-dropping proposals first on the list is her plan to tackle grocery price gouging Harris wants to impose the first ever Federal ban on excessive price hikes in grocery stores she aims to authorize the Federal Trade Commission to Levy substantial fines against grocery chains that exploit consumers this comes as a response to the nearly 26% increase in grocery prices since 2019 Harris believes this move will protect American families from being exploited at the checkout counter however critics argue that price controls could lead to shortages and less incentive for stores to stock up next Harris is addressing the housing crisis with a bold plan to make home ownership more accessible she proposes a $25,000 subsidy for firsttime home buyers and plans to invest tens of billions of dollars to build 3 million new housing units over the next next four years this includes an expansion of tax credits for housing construction and a $40 billion fund for local Housing Solutions Harris touts her record as California's attorney general where she fought against big Banks and mortgage lenders during the housing crisis however some experts warn that these measures could inadvertently drive up home prices by increasing demand without a corresponding increase in Supply on the healthc care front Harris is committed to building on the Biden administration's inflation reduction act she wants to cap insulin pric at $35 per month and limit annual out-of-pocket prescription drug cost to $2,000 for all Americans Harris also advocates for more medical debt cancellation through Federal initiatives and Partnerships with States while this could provide immediate relief experts caution that it doesn't address the underlying issues of High Health care costs and inadequate insurance coverage Harris is also focusing on families with her proposal to expand the child tax credit she wants to provide families with $6,000 in the first year of a child's life this Builds on the temporary expansion during the pandemic which significantly reduced child poverty Harris aims to provide immediate financial relief to new parents when expenses are at their highest she's also calling for the restoration of the Biden administration's child tax credit which was set at $3,000 per child before it expired at the end of 2021 in Her speech Harris drew a sharp contrast between her economic policies and those of former president Donald Trump she criticized Trump's economic policies as favoring wealthy corporations and billionaires Trump on the other hand has slammed Harris's proposals as dangerously liberal he's pushing for new tariffs on America's trade Partners extending his 2017 tax cuts and lowering the corporate tax rate to 15% Trump claims his approach will reduce inflation by boosting oil and gas production and eliminating job killing regulations but Harris argues that Trump's tariffs would exacerbate inflation and act as a tax increase on Working Families this is coming after Trump's Relentless efforts to tie vice president Kam Harris to the Biden administration's economic record particularly focusing on the issue of inflation rates this strategy is not just a political maneuver but a calculated attempt to sway voters by highlighting the economic challenges faced during Biden's presidency let's start with the GDP growth under Trump the Real gross domestic product GDP grew at an annualized rate of 2.7% during his first 3 years however the overall growth rate for his full term was a weaker 1.4% largely due to the covid-19 shock in 2020 in contrast Biden's Administration saw an impressive 3.5% annualized growth rate during his first three years with a peak of 5.9% in 2021 this growth slowed to 1.9% and 2.5% in the subsequent years Trump has been quick to point out that while Biden's initial numbers were strong the momentum has not been sustained when it comes to the stock market Trump has some bragging rights the S&P 500 Index posted an annualized return of 16.3% during his term compared to 11.8% under Biden despite Trump's predictions of a stock market crash under Biden it never materialized this discrepancy in stock market performance is a key talking point for Trump as he tries to paint a picture of economic instability under the Biden Harris Administration inflation however is where Trump has found his most potent weapon inflation rates have been significantly higher during Biden's term Rising by 19% over the first 42 months compared to just 6% during Trump's first 42 months year-over-year inflation peaked at a four decade high of 9% in 2022 before falling to just over 3% Biden has attributed this Spike to the lingering effects of covid-19 and the Russia Ukraine war but Trump has seized on these numbers to argue that the Biden Harris Administration has mismanaged the economy the job market is another area where both administrations have seen successes and challenges since Biden took office overall employment is up 11 % average pay has increased by 18% and unemployment has dropped from 6.7% to 4.2% under Trump unemployment fell from 4.7% to as low as 3.5% in late 2019 and early 2020 tying its lowest level since 1969 wages grew by an inflation beating 15% over his four-year term however much of Biden's labor market gains are part of the post-pandemic recovery with the number of employed Americans up only 4% since Fe February 2020 consumer sentiment has also been a Battleground according to the University of Michigan survey consumer sentiment was lower last month than it ever was under Trump despite strong economic growth numbers and a record stock market Americans are still feeling the aftershocks of inflation July's personal savings rate was just 2.9% less than half of April 2019s 6.8% under Trump the savings rate never fell below 5% this decline in consumer confidence is another Point Trump uses to criticize the Biden Harris Administration however Trump's claim was quickly debunked first let's talk about the infamous tiebreaking vote by vice president Kamala Harris Trump claimed that this vote caused the worst inflation in American history the vote in question was on the 2021 American Rescue plan act a massive $1.9 trillion coronavirus pandemic relief bill this plan included $1,400 direct payments to about 85% of Americans $360 billion for state and local governments and 24 $42 billion in expanded unemployment benefits now some economists Like Larry Summers who directed The National Economic Council under former president Barack Obama warned that this bill could lead to inflation and indeed it did contribute to inflation but not in the way Trump suggests the American Rescue plan put a lot of money into Americans Pockets at a time when Global Supply chains were already struggling due to the pandemic this mismatch between supply and demand led to higher prices however it's crucial to note that the American Rescue plan wasn't the sole cause of inflation supply chain disruptions from the pandemic and Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine which caused oil prices to spike also played significant roles Mark xandy Moody's Analytics Chief Economist even said that the American Rescue plan is at the bottom of the list of reasons for high inflation so how much did the American Rescue plan actually contribute to inflation estimates vary Harvard Economist Jason Ferman said it added 1 to four percentage points to the inflation rate in 2021 Michael strain from the American Enterprise Institute put it at three percentage points Douglas Holtz eeken from the American action Forum estimated a 2 percentage Point rise Dean Baker from the center for economic and policy research also said around two percentage points so yes it did contribute but it wasn't the main culprit next let's address Trump's claim that Biden and Harris oversaw the worst inflation in American history this is simply not true the highest year-over-year inflation rate under Biden was around 9% in the summer of 202 2 that's the highest in about 40 years but not the worst ever the 1970s and early 1980s saw inflation rates ranging from 12 to 15% and in 1946 after World War II the inflation rate exceeded 18% moreover the year-over-year inflation rate has fallen since its 2022 Peak under Biden it was at 2.9% in July 2024 the most recent month available so while inflation has been high it's not the worst in American history As Trump claimed now let's talk about that $228,000 figure Trump's campaign said this number comes from an inflation tracker by the Republican staff of the joint economic committee this tracker calculates the additional costs for a typical household since Biden took office in January 2021 it includes increases in spending on food shelter transportation and energy while prices have risen by 19.4% since Biden took office wages have also gone up by 17.7% so the actual impact on household budgets is less severe than Trump suggests if we used February 2020 the last month before the pandemic as a baseline prices have risen by 20.9% and wages by 23.3% this means American spending power has increased slightly during this period instead of agreeing with Trump's claims kamla Harris claimed that Donald Trump left us with the worst unemployment rate since the Great Depression in January 2020 the US unemployment rate was at a historic low of 3.5% the economy was thriving and job growth seemed Unstoppable however the arrival of of covid-19 in the United States changed everything by March 2020 the pandemic had forced businesses to close schools to shut down and millions of Americans to stay home the economic impact was immediate and severe in April 2020 the unemployment rate soared to 14.7% the highest since the Great Depression of the 1930s this Spike was unprecedented in modern history to put it in perspective during the Great Recession of 2008 to 2009 the highest unemployment rate was 10% in October 2009 the covid-19 pandemic's impact on employment was far more sudden and severe kamla Harris's statement is rooted in this dramatic rise in unemployment the 14.7% rate in April 2020 was the worst the country had seen in nearly 90 years but how did we get here and what role did the Trump Administration play the timeline is crucial in January 2020 the economy was strong and unemployment was low however as covid-19 spread the federal government faced the challenge of balancing public public health and economic stability in March 2020 the car's Act was passed providing $2 trillion in economic relief this included direct payments to Americans expanded unemployment benefits and Loans to businesses despite these efforts the unemployment rate remained High throughout the summer and fall of 2020 by the time Joe Biden and kamla Harris took office in January 2021 the unemployment rate had improved slightly but was still at 6.3% the new Administration faced the daunting task of not only controlling the the pandemic but also Reviving The Economy they introduced the American Rescue plan A9 trillion relief package aimed at accelerating the recovery factchecking Kamala Harris's claim reveals that the 14.7% unemployment rate in April 2020 was indeed the highest since the Great Depression however it's essential to consider the context the covid-19 pandemic was an unprecedented Global crisis that affected economies worldwide while the Trump administration's response faced criticism the economic impact of the pandemic was largely unavoidable the turn of events at the presidential debate has turned things in the favor of Camala Harris and has completely changed the prediction of the upcoming elections also looking at the facts that some Republicans are starting to openly support kamla Harris the tide may swing in Kamala Harris favor click on one of the cards on your screen to see more video the place is falling down I noticed it keeps tilting fur the left former president Donald Trump recent rally took an alarming turn when he appeared to nearly collapse midp speech but Americans are not struggling you know this is the worst platform 77-year-old Trump was addressing the crowd he suddenly stumbled and grabbed the podium for support causing panic among attendees and raising concerns about his health I don't like flies the dramatic moment has sparked numerous questions about Trump's well-being and his ability to withstand the physical demands of campaigning particularly as he gears up for a potential 2024 presidential run Trump nearly collapses mid-speech during rally the highlight of Donald Trump's rally in Minnesota on May 17th 2024 was how Trump supporters at the fundraiser were thrown into Panic as the former president nearly collapsed on camera while he was giving his speech as he talked there was a brief moment on stage when he leaned on the podium too heavily which nearly made him lose his balance but then he blamed the mishap on the event workers for not doing their job well but Americans are not struggling you know this is the worst platform what a crappy contractor this was in addition to this nearfall Trump also went on to falsely claim that he won Minnesota in 2020 despite the state's long history of voting Democratic in fact Minnesota hasn't voted for a Republican presidential candidate since Richard Nixon in 1972 however Trump came surprisingly close in 2016 losing to Hillary Clinton by a slim margin of less than two percentage points also in 2020 President Joe Biden defeated Trump by a wider margin of seven percentage points this time however Republican strategist Amy KO believes this could be the year Trump finally wins Minnesota as the event continued it could also be noticed that Trump had some trouble speaking clearly throughout the entire speech these multiple blunders at the Lincoln Reagan dinner in St Paul have once again put Donald Trump in the news in 2020 former president Donald Trump made a bold promise while campaigning in Minnesota vowing to never return if he lost the state fast forward 4 years and Trump broke that promise on Friday night May 17th 2024 when he became became the main speaker at the prestigious Lincoln Reagan dinner in St Paul a major fundraiser for the Minnesota GOP this rare appearance came during a brief break from his ongoing hush money trial in New York City Trump was given a go-ahead from the judge to attend his youngest son Baron's High School graduation so he took advantage of this opportunity to combine family obligations with political duties using the occasion to raise funds and connect with supporters in Minnesota in fact according to Republican party officials the Trump campaign believes Minnesota is a key Battleground state with its 10 Electoral College delegates up for grabs Trump's return to Minnesota signals A Renewed focus on the state's importance in the upcoming election President Joe Biden's campaign team couldn't resist taking a jab at Donald Trump after he was caught on camera struggling to maintain his balance on stage at the rally the team took to social media platform X where they posted the embarrassing moment and made fun of the former president unsteady footing a mocking description was also added where they labeled Trump as feeble and ridiculed his sub quent Outburst about the alleged poor quality of the stage for the Biden supporters the misstep was seen as a clever opportunity to capitalize on Trump's Gaff to score a political point and entertain their online supporters the Biden Harris HQ account on X shared the clip with a mocking caption that read a feeble Trump nearly falls down on stage after he leans on his Podium too hard and then goes on an angry rant calling his event workers crappy social media users weighed in on the incident criticizing Trump for his perceived embarrassment and suggesting that event organ organizers may have been underpaid some commenters also noted that Trump's Behavior including his inability to laugh at himself and tendency to lash out at others was driven by his ego that's not all others pointed out that his habit of name- calling and blaming others May ultimately lead to him being abandoned by those who work hard to support him many also expressed frustration with Trump's refusal to admit fault with one user stating no surprise Trump's first goto is always to put workers down he's Tipsy and off balance and blame the contractor who put the stage together what a loser controversies associated with previous Trump rallies Donald Trump is however not new to backlash and controversies from opponents back in 2018 there were disturbing reports of explosive devices being sent to five Democrats who opposed Trump when he was president this has led to a closer look at Trump's past Behavior which has often glorified violence against those who disagree with him for instance in 2016 Trump encouraged his supporters to rough up protesters at his campaign rallies just the previous year as well she's incensed at the and freezing episodes that have raised concerns about the health status of Donald Trump people have started digging into his previous health issues Trump's previous health issues in 2018 after a tiring 90-minute appearance where Trump put on a show of compassion for immigrants the unemployed and other groups he typically dismisses as insignificant his AIDS suddenly noticed a change in his complexion he looked slightly pale which was an undeniable sign of exhaustion just moments later Trump suddenly collapsed following his collapse Trump was quickly transported to the Walter Reed National military Medical Center where a team of medical experts conducted a thorough examination including a brain scan to assess any potential damage fortunately the test results revealed that Trump's brief brush with human feelings had not caused any permanent damage much to the relief of his AIDS and supporters in fact Dr Johnny Jackson the attending physician reported that Trump was already back to his old self sitting up in bed and actively tweeting disparaging comments about Jay-Z according to Dr Jackson in all my years of practicing medicine I have never met a patient as healthy and vigorous as president Trump but the sustained effort of simulating compassion proved too much for someone who has never exercised that part of his brain before in November 2023 a medical report was published detailing the results of Donald Trump's physical examination which took place on September 13th 2023 the examination was conducted by Dr Bruce a aronwald a 64-year-old physician range and exceptional the doctor also expressed optimism about Trump's future health prospects attributing his positive outlook to the former president's continued interest in preventative health monitoring and maintenance critics were however quick to point out the reports vagueness noting the absence of crucial details such as blood test numbers weight and medication information without these specifics it is impossible to determine whether Trump's weight which was previously reported as 239 lbs in 2018 still qualifies him as borderline obese for his 6' 3 in height in contrast President Biden's recent medical report SP spanning six pages provided a more comprehensive assessment of the president's Health leaving some to question the thoroughness of Aaron wald's evaluation people are now beginning to question whether Donald Trump may have improperly influenced the doctor's medical report considering the doctor was a member of the Trump National Golf Club aside from this Aaron Wald has also been frequently spotted socializing with Trump and his family by the pool leading some to wonder if their close relationship may have compromised the doctor's objectivity in assessing the former president's health according to reports this is not the first time that Donald Trump has allegedly pressured doctors to produce perfect medical Assessments in 2015 after launching his presidential bid Trump stated that he had directed his longtime Dr Harold Bornstein to release a comprehensive medical report within 2 weeks boasting that it would reveal Perfection however instead of a detailed report Dr Bornstein Trump's physician at the time who is now deceased issued a brief four paragraph letter the very next day declaring that Trump would be the a healthy individual ever elected to the presidency a claim that raised eyebrows interestingly Dr Harold Bornstein later disavowed the letter revealing to CNN that Trump had actually dictated the contents himself and that he had merely signed off on it this incident has taken on new significance given the advanced age of the two leading presidential candidates making the health and fitness of the next
