The college football season on Fox, 43 starts tonight with North Carolina taking on Minnesota. Penn State kicks off here on Fox 43 Saturday at noon. Fox 40 three's to Sanski tells us what makes the first game of any season unique. The expectations are the same, compete for a big 10 title and qualify for the new 12 team playoff. But the first game of the year has a different feel than any other game on the schedule. It's different because first game of the season, everybody's anxious and, uh, we got some new guys that's stepped up and that's has stepped up and that has to show. So, so it's gonna be a different look this year, kind of got control of that because you get, you get too worked up and you start playing out of your frame and, and who you're being, who you're not on the field. So I think it's, you know, it's important. It is a big build up, everyone's excited but staying true to yourself and staying, you know, maintain your calmness through all the excitement of it is important too. The players are not the only ones feeling anxious new defensive coordinator, Tom Allen is also very excitable coach Allen just got his voice back. He, he lost it for a little bit, especially during camp. He, he always loses it and, uh, I mean, he just got his voice back. He, he's really excited and he's getting us ready. We're getting you ready for Penn State season opener at West Virginia on n the game week, former assistant coaches, Tom Bradley and Jay Paterno, join me every week. You can catch Fridays at 6:30 p.m. Saturdays at 9 a.m. And then it's a big noon kickoff Saturday in Morgantown, catch every play of the N Lions and Mountaineers right here on Fox. 43. Penn State begins the season ranked eighth in the country. They're a little bit more than a touchdown favorite in this one. I'll be in wild and wonderful West Virginia Friday with pregame reports kickoff is now less than 48 hours away.
