welcome back to the football terce hit the like and the share buttons a big story is brewing in football and I'd be a hypocrite not to cover it and not to give my views and opinions but a big headline today was sent through to me that fans are lost for words as man united need Le nudes leads to the Premier League facing allegations of corruption there have been huge cries by rival fans everywhere not and Forest and Everton fans fuming over being screwed by PSR but man united get the cartel treatment why did man united get a much higher Co Grant which enabled them to comply with PSR loads of claims and we'll come back to more of these in a moment that Manchester United have been given huge preferential treatment in relation to handling their finances compared to other Premier League clubs cause of corruption cause of all manner of allegations that would say something dodgy is going on now before anybody overreacts listen to the clip before anybody overreacts at me wait for my opinion but I do think it's right that when Chelsea and when City and other top six clubs have faced allegations of corruption when rival fans have been fuming when news is surfaced we at the football Terrace have discussed it just because I'm a man united fan doesn't mean I'm going to ignore it but let's take a little listen here to what was actually said so we have all the right information let's go again towards the end of the window or or if they can of course in January briefly we're Manchester United sailing close to the wind un profit and sustainability United is uh very interesting because we do have uh quite a lot of information about United because of course they quarterly report in the US and so we know that they've told us that the end of year results will have a 660 million P Top Line and about 140 million ebit Dar which also tells us certain things about their cost now bottom line is when you drag that down on the three-year assessment United would have failed PSR for the season just gone save for two things one is they were given it it appears an exceptional allowance of40 million for covid in uh 2022 which no other club had to get that the most any other club had was about a million quid in that period how' they get we don't know on top of that so first of all I'm going to stop it and say this so the initial claim is man united should have fouled PSR in the 2324 season just gone but we missed but we circumvented that because three years ago we were given A40 million pound covid loss allowance now we don't know why we were giving it so Stefan who's talking here doesn't explain why he doesn't yet maybe this comes up in the video explained why that enabled us to miss to avoid PSR problems this season so he believes we were given an allowance nobody else was but doesn't know the reasons as to what hasn't done the investigation into why as of yet which I think is a really key component in this seems that they've been given allowance for around about 35 million pound of exceptional cost relating to the share sale to to um uh to to rackliff which uh I mean to be honest the glazers should have paid that themselves anyway given that they were the main beneficiary yeah look I agree with that element there so £35 million was spent on legal fees by the glazers to bring in the to bring in s Jim Ratcliffe now Manchester United ahead of time far for permission for those losses to not count towards PSR and the Premier League agreed whether you like that or not that's that's another debate to be had but United did that ahead of time I do agree that the Glazer should have paid that themselves it's an absolute disgrace that that was taken out of Manchester United that's 35 million that could have gone towards players this summer but the glazers spent it to get their reward from inos this just shows even Rivals what we're up against when it comes to the glazers scum um but we know from the numbers that that was 35 million and the only way in which they can make the 2324 PSR number and this is not just my view this is the view of multiple people who run the numbers based on publicly available information from the US the only way they could have made that um that PSR Target was by having these allowances which are relatively exceptional in the game so I think around the table at the Premier League um when you've got Newcastle having to Scurry around on the 29th and 30th of June to sell players yeah and then they discover that actually United have had what appear to be quite exceptional allowances and where you've had a season where Everton have of their troubles and continue to have them with the capitalization issue that's still upcoming in the current season in in the fourth coming season uh and Nottingham Forest of course who weren't allowed to count promotion bones all these things that weren't allowed and yet United had been given allowances for covid and for uh probably for exceptional uh costs on the share sale there will be questions asked around the table and I agree there should be questions asked there absolutely should be questions asked as a man united fan I don't like hearing this but I've said all along that if man united were ever caught up in anything that had corruption claims I'd keep the same energy and I do I don't trust the glazers as far as I can throw them so you have to remember that none of this is inos per se inos didn't ask for the permission up front for those costs to come out of the club that was a Glazer Le initiative anything that happened to those 40 million allowances three years ago nothing to do with inos they're trying to fix our football club because the way we have been run for years has been absolutely disgusting one of my theories around why man united have been given some of these allowances with the legal cost is with the Premier League have now made it illegal within the rules of the game for a Glazer style takeover that ever happened again they've recognized that what they enabled the glazers to do to Manchester United was absolutely disgraceful it's now against the rules of the game so maybe that played a part in it but I understand why rival fans are out here fuming I understand why rival fans are out here calling corruption I understand why rival fans are saying well hang on we only had a million pound allowance we've been deducted points we've having to sell players we've been up against it we can't do anything and yet man united and been given this 40 million pound allowance plus another 35 million that's 75 million pound of corruption the way you end this though it's for any man united fans kicking off S Terry why you talking about this well we all want transparency don't we we all want honesty I also want to know what the hell the glazers have been doing at my football club and it's the reason why I've not started putting money back into my club yet because I can't morally financially support owners who I do not trust I want to get behind inos I want to get behind getting the glazers out long term but I won't give money to those absolute mother I won't do it it's a simple as that so I understand what rival fans are calling this out where I will defend man united slightly is where this is different to sort of City's claims where this is different to Chelsea's potential situation where they've reported themselves for financial misdemeanor or with cities there's evidence of potential corruption the one thing from Stefan here is that he didn't know why man united were given any of these allowances and that's because he's basing everything he's saying on just reading their trading accounts so what I will say is that I intrigued to know what the explanation is to this and why it's different from other clubs you may find that man united have appealed to the Premier League in in an in an inative way that other clubs hadn't thought of just like Chelsea finding these loopes and the Premier League were like oh God we can't say no God they've got us there they can't say no the Premier League would never publicize that otherwise other clubs could do it so maybe there is no corruption whatsoever maybe man united have been given special treatment which some will call corruption some may just call favoritism and the cartel and I do think these this is Sport and we want fair play and we want equality as best as we can within football so these questions have to be answered they they really really do and it pains me as a man united fan to say it but I understand why people are frustrated I understand why people are angry now there's no defending man united here per se not because you don't want to or don't need to to but no one knows the reasons as to why so you can't fully defend United or fully condemn man united until we know the rationale so what I hope happens from here is that information is given to us in the public domain so we understand what's going on more transparency around the finances in football is needed that leads to genuinely less cheating less corruption and less problems in future but as ever look I want all your thoughts and I want all your
