this is Sean sport in podcast form West Coast uh fevers Kelsey Brown dropped we haven't seen her for a few week a few weeks does she look amazing every time she comes in here she looks like she's photoshopped in real life do know what Sean because as Katie Perry sings It's A Woman's World it certainly is and ktie Perry will be performing at the AFL Grand Final before the game um what what do we know about the the uh super net ball Grand Final do they have a big time performance anymore I know we don't have any money in the competition f as What's That Guy Sebastian I have no idea what they do for pre um pregame entertainment or halftime or whatever haven't been in a grand final for a while haven't even been in a final series for a while so um it's an exciting time to be in Kelsey World playing um for fever at the moment because yeah we've got finals coming up and yeah it's exciting but yeah definitely in Adelaide um they sold it a few years ago uh and yeah it's it's tough because Adel are in the finals so to be what what time do they play the grand final game in netball again have no idea of 2 2:00 4:00 it's not a night game I it doesn't matter you're s we're going as a night game atm. I have no idea that's I'll tell you when we get there 5:30 hour time tell you what is it a tight season between the three of you guys up there pointy end in particular I know you're playing uh Melbourne this weekend but the way it's finishing this year it it can go any way you had a onepoint win against The Vixens on the weekend but either time you play them and and of course um Adel it's tough yeah I think the permutations that can happen at the moment are pretty exciting and it's always nice when it comes down to the last round of the SSN season and and so many things can happen and I think um outside of probably one team who is still playing for ladder position every single game this weekend matters so I think that's exciting for for n um and I think for us it's a nice reflection to to go where equal first or however you want to put it at the moment we've had a rocky sort of second half to the season and to still be in the position of of being able to win and uh end up on top of the ladder is pretty cool after the season that we've sort of had so um yeah it'll be a big game this weekend Mavs are playing for their finals birth and they're a um first year Club as well so huge game we've got a record crowd coming out to RAC Arena which is exciting as well every single week I um look at the stats and go imagine playing in front of you know 11 12,000 people opened up the fourth um rung of RSC Arena so for net yeah it's it's pretty exciting yeah I was there that home game you played where there were 11,000 people there and the noise the noise is extraordinary and imagine all of those people just cheering for you yeah that's exactly right sometimes I just when we run out before the game I just sort of think this is unbelievable and I think I always just have like a pinch me moment would great had hand just when you're having a low day yeah yeah I just go back into that moment and just think all of those people are cheering for me it kind of justifies um your decision to move over here cuz you come over the other side of the country you weren't sure how it's going to all end up and it's ending up brilliantly at the moment but you're playing a successful team and you're playing RAC arena in front of a massive crowd all the time yeah you couldn't probably ride it I I think I said when I first came in here with you guys I never thought that I would end up in Perth but I adore it here and I think playing in front of the RAC um crowd the green army is probably the best I've played in front of I've played in World Cups um and Grand finals but this um every single and this is just a home game so um for us it's really important for us to try and get a home final um and that's on the cards sort of this weekend so I yeah I think for me it's been it's been the best experience just even playing in front of an R home crowd hey because all week we've been getting people to tell us what their signature dish is because we're going to be choosing a lucky one and they're going to win something amazing do you have one I do and this is and and this is something that everyone knows you for um yeah well if you're in my life yeah salmon Bowl salmon Bowl okay salmon Bowl I know so boring but still okay talkis crispy salmon rice I like crispy salmon um but you have to the the main part is you have to have the seaweed have you ever had the seaweed squares yes um so you get the seaweed squares I like this so yeah so you have um veggies and you'll have like a bit of mayo and some sriracha and then you get the seaweed and you'll put the seaweed the the little concoction that you've made of the salmon in the seaweed and then you eat it like a boat oh everyone at home I'm using my hands very Italian very handy um uh what vegetables are you putting in there um broccoli I do a bit of cucumber and carrot and but it's it's simple but it's delicious I would eat that one so mixing the M uh sorry the sriracha and everything like that gives you it gets rid of the just the blandness of the rice and the veggies and the veggies and there's a bit of soy sauce in there as well so there's three sauces um three veggies and some salmon but the key part is the seaweed guys the brown R what sort of rice are we going um I just go white rice do you you know what well then again you're doing exercise to burn off the white rice I I have brown rice and hopefully hope that it does the same thing my body as a workout does exactly I'm glad you like that one delicious hey K just a second ago I'm not sure if you heard the callers uh people randomly picking up strangers um because they've been asked to have you ever had to pick up a a hitch harer or a stranger um no but I have considered hitching one time I was um stuck on the way home from a MCG um football game there was no all the public transport was full everything I had to get all the way back to jalong um yeah considered it but no no I've never had to pick anyone up but yeah can you imagine that hey can you just take me back to jalong I'm in the middle of Richmond um yes I ran out of petrol once after yeah on a Sunday morning and I was on my way to training you know those Sunday morning trainings to turn up from and and some dude come pick me up standing on the side of the road this guy says you need to LIF thank God he took me to freem manal pool so I could be a part of training in the morning what about the time I mean it's not a lift it was sort of his lift I was in Sydney and it was just after big brother and everything was very confusing and one night I was on the train and I didn't know how to really use the trains in Sydney and then um we ended up at the end of the train line and there was no one else on the you're in the Blue Mountains and I'm just like literally sitting there on the train and then the train driver came back I was walking back and saw me in the carriage and said excuse me about what's going on then he recognized me and I said I don't know what I'm doing here so then he said right there and he made a couple of calls and then he got the okay to take the entire train back into the city to drop me off oh that's great I actually do have one I actually do have one time um I parked in the wrong um area and my car was getting towed but I um had my puppy with me so I said to the guy I was like I understand you have to take my car but I've got my puppy with me I can't get in an Uber and I can't get in a taxi so um can you drive me home so he with my car on the back while he's to your car while he's Towing my car and he did explain to me he's like oh once it's on there you know I get in trouble if you and I was like that's fine I don't care I will pay for my car to get out but please drop me home so he took a detour on the way to driving my toe uh my car to the tow your car so he Dr you home and took your car away yeah I'm just sat in the car with my puppy on my lap with the to toad drive up we made friends it was fine I would have said mate I don't thank you so much for doing this for me I don't really know you too well so I'll just sit back in my car so there's that one that's an incredible story hey Kel can I ask you why the uh uh the new Melvin M Maverick's team have been successful in their first year yeah I think um obviously the way that they structured their um recruiting and I I think they went and got a lot of sort of young players that were itching at starting opportunities and um and coming together they they're sort of a young group and I think um I've been a part of an inaugural team before and it is a really exciting time you get to build the culture from scratch you get to build how the team sort of looks and so I think to be a part of that gives you a fair bit of spirit um but they've won a lot of games by sort of one point here and there um the last two games they're coming off they've won won by one goal win so um I think that gives you a lot of confidence and and when you're going into the next week um it yeah it is you're feeling really spirited you're feeling like can get over the line across um top teams and I have no doubt that this weekend they're very confident that they can get over the line with us can I say your lips are marvelously glossed what what gloss are we using yes so um I'm not spons to by any of these people um maybe you can guys if you're listening um but I have been using the summer Fridays it's like this and I've got the iced coffee one at the moment it's amazing but it's a $40 lip gloss like it's ridiculous yeah off got you just go there and do do a tester every day I've gone in this morning ask to open up early all right well good luck with with getting a sponsor for your lips but also um when the fever take on the chat to us live the answer is no yeah and as we know when you're driving a great distance you always think oh am I making good time how am I going with time M the timing seems all out well it's 12: 8 Jeremy McGovern where are you how are you guys fall a couple hours Short uh I'm in C okay come on did you have did you did you have a sleeping did you what what happened oh not not exactly no I uh I was actually up earlier then then uh we wanted to get up but um yeah now we are we had to we had to rest obviously Nathan as you know you can't just be driving tired we need to do the responsible thing where did you stay the night G uh we stayed in Norman last night Lovely isn't it did you go and take the photo with the um with the horse there norsman no look no I didn't top five has it been yeah you go g yeah now I haven't um I looked up what to do in Norman and that was it and I thought that's all to do in Norman I'm gone straight to the hotel straight gav has there been any interesting sites coming across the nullo that you didn't expect or is it just emus and and stuff you know you know what there actually wasn't that much Wildlife to be honest a lot less than I thought I think it might be the time of the year but um I think the beauty of the whole Drive is that the Landscapes changing every couple 100ks so it was actually um that sounds beautiful yeah it was beautiful yeah it was AB beautiful and of course the big question is did you get any decent Foods um look I took the advice what was it um and bitty Co bitty yeah yeah yeah we pulled over ordered they knowed it got BL BLT sandwich Oh Yeah from there fresly made yeah yeah the um I don't know the the bl's name that caught up the ex trucky he uh he was right I I agree order order to go okay hey what's the pricing when you do you get stung when you're at these roadh houses mate way cheaper than well inflation obviously hasn't hit him out there that's it sto the the Border well how how much was that how much was your BT most of the I think that was like 17 bucks yeah obviously they give you chips and all that sort of stuff but it was um yeah for like a meal yeah you know you're looking at 35 bucks in Perth for that for sure yeah oh 100% that's a good score G so that's all we've got to do is drive that way to get a cheap feed yeah for sure oh yeah 100% or I can I was going to say I can uh Uber e for that BL he spoke about the steak sandwich said it was really ni I could I could have bought it back for him oh to be honest you're not home yet why don't you just swim back and get us one I got plenty of time on my hands just hey but that's that's part of the reason I'm late yeah right because if you're stopping all the time you're chewing up half an hour you know it's been two hours so I did I did hit the southern Crossroad house on just before and Daddy was home Daddy was home H that's how it's meant to be spread out the wa Bay Mar they know how to have it ready to go jump straight back in your car and get moving good call can you put us on speaker for a second we you've got MD there speaker's here just trying not to laugh my g hi Maddie hi how's he been Maddie has he been has he been like a nice calm passenger does it does is passenger princess yeah what's he like John be honest no be no he's been great what a great way to spend time together overly convincing yeah she she said she got two hours so um maybe we'll change her more about such an interesting thing having having a partner and spending that yeah amount of time together cuz you normally have the KE around you imagine no I can't I don't think I can't remember last time we hey M are you more in love with him than you were a week ago because of this time you spent no comment this is the time where you question everything you done why did I accept that ring why is this person sleep my yeah I was wondering why MD put her hand up so quick and I just realized she just want to get away from the three kids well so go you're back here for Sunday's game obviously so you'll make sure you see Simo before or after the game yeah yeah I'll um obviously get back today and then um hopefully catch him over next couple of days and if I don't I'll I'll definitely obviously be there at the game to obviously see him off and FL like obviously s is a major reason want to come back but also L Ry 100th game um you know a fair big going on at the club the last week and I just feel like it's I think we need everyone on deck and everyone just supporting each other through this through this week in this game so um yeah we'll uh I'll head into the club tomorrow and see the boys and uh and send Simo off absolutely now I've seen Simo do a couple interview since post uh um him finishing up at the West Coast it's amazing how the you can see the relief come he's talking completely different the energy level in him is is quite amazing it looks like us when we're about to go to on holidays it also Sean because he's no longer coaching the club he can be on it like you don't you're not having to talk the party line and that sort of thing as well a lot of people have been writing and commenting on the fact that Adam is going to go out and doing the toin C the coin toss and they've said there he should be doing there should be something a little bit more for him Sean what do you think well I just don't think that he wants that I'm sure they would have offered him a whole lot of different things I think he's like give me the bare minimum thing that you want me to do and I'm sure and and G be able to attest to this I'm sure even the coin toss for him to be out there in the middle for that period of time might be a lot for him yeah yeah look I think he just doesn't really want to make about himself and understands the club's moving on and um like you said he's he's relev that um in a way that he's finishing up so he's yeah I think that think that's coin toss is nice the club's offering all this stuff up for him and just see how he goes with it yeah um it be interesting hopefully he wins it for us but I think it's [Laughter] just if he loses you the coin that's another statistic he wants back his name for the West on Monday one of the controversies this week was what he said to bayy Williams and he was saying that you know apparently he was commenting on his mustache how bad is Bailey Williams mustache in your opinion look I've been away for a week but he started it a while ago yeah and I was ashamed to be with yeah yeah um but I haven't seen it since it's hard to judge but yeah Simo would have been having a gag with him about for sure well so Harry started his what day did you start yours Harry cuz we've walked into this oh yeah Harry about about a year ago no Harry Harry you get to a certain stage and then it sort of stops right whereas sha when sha tries it sha looks like one of the characters from The Hills Have Eyes it's very um it's very it's very I'm going to I'm going to I'm going to live in the walls of your house and come out at night I better also wispy and there's not a lot to it hey when I was in barley I actually got a shave at do c did they laugh were they laughing were they using the opposite side when they you know you pretend to shave with kids it's a big run up to member yeah yeah Sean needs that much of a run up I need that Harry doesn't look at him he's old man
