the NFL has just dropped a bombshell Cardinals receiver Zade Jones has been hit with a five-game suspension here's what went down on Friday the league announced that Jones will be suspended for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy this comes after Jones was arrested in mid November on a domestic battery charge spending a night in Duval County jail before being released on bond although the State Attorney's Office later dropped the charges stating they declined to prosecute the NFL still found the incident to be a violation of its strict policy Z Jones a second round pick from East Carolina in 2017 has had quite the journey in the NFL starting with the Buffalo Bills then moving to the Raiders and most recently the Jaguars where he posted a career-high 823 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 2022 unfortunately injuries limited him to just nine games in 2023 and he signed with the Arizona Cardinals in free agency this past may now with this suspension Jones will miss the first five weeks of the regular season he's eligible to return in week six just in time for the Cardinals Showdown against the Packers on October 13th Jones's return will be highly anticipated but until then the Cardinals will have to push forward without one of their key offseason acquisitions
