This, as dozens of homes have their electricity cut off for what's being called safety sake. Right Generators to fire up power and homes like Tom Keifer's. Because electricity at his house and 139 others went dark because officials say the fast moving landslide here has created unsafe conditions. We are now at 1210. I assume that the power has now been shut off. Yes, yes, yes. But that's not all. An evacuation warning has been issued for the Portuguese Bend neighborhood of Rancho Palos Verdes. That means get ready. Please be ready to evacuate. I hope it doesn't come down to that, but you've got to be ready at a minute's notice. Official after official here painted a grim assessment of the situation. This is an unprecedented situation that we're dealing with. I think we're all learning that there is no playbook for an emergency like this one. Residents say they didn't get much notice at all of the cutoff and the possibility to have to evacuate, but officials say not only could power lines come down and start a fire, but there could be a sewage spill that results from the continuing land movement, and there has already been evidence of trouble. It was one of these pipes which is made of 14 inch diameter steel that pulled apart last week, six feet below ground. And Michael says that resulted in a small spill. That and the electricity being shut off just several weeks after Southern California Gas Company shut off gas to the area has residents financially reeling and upset.
