what's going on everyone Chris from picks.com here with your free pick in the Kansas City Royals vs Cleveland Guardians Major League Baseball matchup going down Tuesday September 3rd 2024 just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you subscribe to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets the games that I love including my daily $19 best bet head on over to pck dogs.com and click the premium pick tab at the top of the page but let's get to this one between the Kansas City Royals and the Cleveland Guardians the Kansas City Royals sending out Brady singer for the start in this one while the Guardians will counter with Tanner byby and for me this is probably the toughest one of the I should say one of the toughest series to start the week um you know just so much at stake for both sides you know we just saw the Guardians take out the Royals in uh in Monday series opener by a final score of 4-2 the Royals showed they can take three of four from from the Guardians earlier this you know actually just last week in Cleveland but we've also seen that the Guardians have woken up offensively the uh the Royals are now mired in this six game losing streak so the offense is starting to fail the Royals as well they've scored three runs or less in five straight including two runs in each of their last four games but they've got Brady singer going here now singer some good starts and some bad starts the majority of his good starts have actually been coming on the road as of late where at home his last two home starts at Kaufman against the Phillies gave up five runs on 11 hits over five Innings of work and then before that four runs on 10 hits over five and two3 and this the Guardians team that like I said is starting to wake up offensively and their numbers are not too far off from where the Royals are in the last two weeks against right-handed pitching the Guardians hitting 240 the Royals hitting 254 these two teams are separated by two spots in team Ops rankings you know separated by you know four spots in terms of isolated power both are above League average so I think you're really splitting hairs with this matchup and that being said seeing has had some issues like I said and you know in his last five starts against the guardian singer ow and to a 6.15 erra but he has been pitching better at home overall this season a sub3 erra to this point and I think that singer can at least hold the Guardians in check and make this interesting they wouldn't just send him out here you know if they didn't think he could handle himself singer a veteran pitcher you know there's been a lot of decent spots for the Kansas City Royals and these are the games that Kansas City knows they have to compete in they know they have to be better on the other side though you get tanner BBY who you could definitely I think make a case has been the Ace of this Guardians rotation this season at least that's the case I would make it's 10 and six on the year 3.65 erra but he's gotten hit hard in his last couple of outings uh giving up nine runs on 16 hits combined over 10 and two3 against the Royals just giving up five runs in five innings at work and then before that four runs and five and two thirs at home against the Texas Rangers but the thing for me here is that BBY still was a almost quality start machine before that and I think this could end up being a lower scoring game because Bobby's erra on the road this season has been much stronger than his erra at Progressive Field like I said there's just so much at stake for both of these teams I don't want to mess around with the bullpens here I'm going to take the under in the first five like I said took a little while for the runs to come on the board earlier on uh on excuse me in um in in Monday's matchup I think we're going to have a lower scoring game here at least early on so I'm going to take the under in the first five between the Royals and the Guardians and that's going to be my free pick but just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you're subscribe to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets you can find those a pick dogs premium while your pick dogs check out our betting tools they're 100% free they're the best betting tools in the business and tools that you want to make sure that you have in your back pocket when you're making your Best Bets for the day's action thanks for watching see you guys soon
