day three many people are still trying to dig out from the storm that dropped more than a foot of snow in some places jasmine monroe is live in ohio city this morning with an update on the side streets jasmine how're they looking this morning hey good morning to you dave well not so good the thing is the main streets are clear and it's the sidewalks that a lot of people are having a frustration with this morning so this morning i started off my journey right here in ohio city and i got a chance to see about five people this morning three of those were joggers and two of those were just walking their dogs in the middle of the street because sidewalks looked like this so this is a sidewalk that we're on right now and it's totally unclear so the city of cleveland says about 70 percent of streets have already been plowed through and all and should be cleared by this morning but the concerns that we're hearing from residents is the sidewalks remain impassable now cleveland schools made the decision last night to remain closed due to unsafe road conditions for buses and students who walk we got a chance to speak to the city's new chief operating officer about the snowstorm response and what the city wants the residents to know this event is is a very large event um the intensity was was pretty high um we look at this as really an opportunity to to learn from it um to evaluate it to make adjustments and and to you know figure out what our best management practices are so that we can continue to do better for the residents of cleveland again the good news is the main roads are totally clear but it's those side streets and the sidewalks that we have to get you know clear for those kids to make sure they can get to school safe as possible you don't want kids walking in the middle of the street that's when you get major accidents but again dave it's the sidewalks that we have to deal with i have an amazing team with me this morning who cleared this path so i could just stand in the snow so it's appreciation like that that i want to say thank you to my videographers yeah you had to get there to talk about it no question about it hopefully it's all clear soon all right jasmine thank you
