2024 NFL Week 1 Predictions | Shooting the Breeze #39

what is going everybody AHS rules back again with another video as we are here for the return of shooting the breeze on the Channel episode number 39 to be exact and for a good reason as is also the return of our weekly NFL predictions as the NFL season is hours away from kicking gol I'm uploading this a bit earlier so definitely a lot of hours away but we're getting closer and closer to the turn of the NFL so I'm here last season last year I did 18 straight weeks the whole regular season worth of NFL predictions and I have the exact percentage of what I got correct I got 62% right we're obviously aiming to get better than 62% I think the perfect aim goal would be 70 obviously it would be 100 which I feel is next two impossible and if I was able to get 100% right on every single NFL game for the next 18 weeks then I probably should be making YouTube videos about it I should probably be spending my time doing something else but that's what obviously what the aim is but I think a realistic goal is to get 70% right this season so we are here shooting the breeze episode 39 2024 NFL week one predictions normally when shooting the BR we have several topics I we don't we just got this one topic for this one episode but is a gigantic topic to talk about anyways I will say that during the course of these this NFL season shooting the breeze will be on various days because I personally do not like double uploading and normally I do shoot in the brze on Thursdays that way the predictions are out before Thursday Night Football I'm doing this one this week just to go ahead and get it done Etc but several time we got three WWE premium Lobby events and I believe four allout wrestle je full gear yeah so four aw pay-per-views left this year and I normally do those predictions on Thursdays speaking of that all out predictions will be out tomorrow more than likely so I don't like double uploading if I don't have to but it will just vary over the next 8 weeks obviously and then once we get to the playoffs it just depends on what happens in the playoffs if I make predictions or not because if you watched last season I gave up during after the divisional round which I feel you can know why I'm a I'm a Packers fan I've say that at every prediction I got a new hat I was not alive for this Super Bowl but the Packers want it so there's that I'm spending way too much time talking about the non predictions we're 3 minutes in let's get to the first game to talk about probably the the biggest game of the actual week which is the one to kick the season off a rematch of the AFC title game the Baltimore Ravens versus the Super Bowl winning Kansas City Chiefs I am picking the Ravens I'm seing way too much Lamar Jackson slander on my timeline I think they're going to seek revenge for how that AFC title game went it's just I will say this about several of these games more than likely kind of sets the tone for this season that's Thing One and mor of the story it's just week one this is not going to determine every single team season some it might end up doing so but I feel that this is probably the game to analyze it to most because they're the two top teams in the AFC so people were going to analyze it as that but once we get to the freaking playoffs and hypothetically if these teams play again I don't know if you can like really measure up the week one matchup to that playoff matchup so and even with this case I guess I could say like the AFC title game is it I don't see it really being a repeat so I'm going to go with the Ravens to get revenge mainly for the sck of Lamar next obviously the game I am looking forward to the most a Friday night football game don't really know why I'm not really going to question it anymore but my Green Bay Packers are playing the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil on nfl.com they did not list this as a home game for either team so I'm a little confused on that but again nothing I'm going to question that much but I am picking the Packers I am so so so so excited to watch this game to watch some Green Bay Packer football now we get to the Sunday slate Pittsburgh Steelers at the Atlanta Falcons both teams making significant quarterback changes in the off season which I would say the Falcons will was controversial the Steelers one you kind of could look at it like that but I don't with Russell Wilson and ktk cousins being more than likely the starters I would imagine I think I like this Falcons team more than I do the Steelers and I just see look I don't really got any problem with Russell Wilson or Justin Fields even as a Packer fan I can like put all that stuff aside now but it's just I all I'm just I see the Steelers being the Steelers like maybe seventh seed same season the Falcons will definitely be upgraded over what we saw last season but I don't know if it makes them a top team it's just going to be better than last season so I'm going to go with the Falcons winning this matchup next the Arizona Cardinals at the Buffalo Bills I've been going back and forth this is the matchup I have been going back and forth because I don't know what to pick and you're probably looking at me like you are a dumbass I was going to say jackass but I said on dumbass but I think this Cardinals team is going to be a lot better than they were last year they're a lot they're injured a lot and didn't know what they were doing where now they got a healthy Kyler they got James Connor they got Tre MCG gr who was balling out and they got Marvin Harrison Jr they are going to be much improved offensively defensively I couldn't tell you much of anything where the bills are going to be a completely I can't say completely different but significantly actually I think that's bigger than completely but they're going to be a different team the main reason I'm kind of like debating going back as like I think this Cardinal team is going to be better than they were last year I think this bill's team is going to be worse than they were last year so I was like by that math and that logic you would think the Cardinals but I think I'm going to make the safe pick and I'm going to go with the bills now I'll tell you this next pick I'm picking with my heart not my brain the tene Titans versus the Chicago Bears everyone I'm not going to say everyone a lot of hype over Chicago it is what it is I'm going to go with the Titans the Titans just win weird matchups and more than likely lose matchups they should probably win but I'm going to definitely be writt for the Titans in this match New England Patriots Cincinnati Bengals I'm picking the Bengals the Patriots won my jaw would be dropped I would be very shocked but the Bengals need to remind everybody who the hell they were and who the hell they've been cuz last season even when everyone was healthy and out there it kind of we never really felt like we had about the Bengals in years past so this needs to be a reminder game for that team because they were just they were in the Super Bowl a Super Bowl I think that they should have won but that's such a long time ago now but I'm going with the Bengals probably the best game to take place on week one Sunday at least at least Sunday a divisional rival I almost said a playoff rematch but it technically was not but the Houston Texans at the Indianapolis Colts now if you remember we kind of had an NFL plan with it was the winter go home game week 18 Texans at Colts once again and the Colts lost I'm going to go with the Texans I just think that's the smart pick but I very much hope the Colts I I hope it's as close a game as it was that last one and I again think the Colts will be a better team this year than they were last year or worst case scenario they stay the same and or competing until the very end of their season next Jacksonville Jaguars at the Miami Dolphins the Dolphins are always a good team at the very start of the season I know a lot of people are kind of out on the Dolphins I think this is the this is the maker break break year if they don't do it this year they probably are just going to be the same old same old witch there's a great chance of that as well the Jaguars kind of crapped the bed a little bit last year but we're dealing with injuries and I would say they're kind of on the same level as the Dolphins but surprisingly the Jaguars have a playoff win more recently than the Dolphins but I'm going to go with the dolphins to win this Carolina Panthers New Orleans Saints if you're watching this game good on you I'll probably tune in for a handful of seconds I will say this I watched Titan Saints week one last season and it was just the same thing it was just field goal kicks it was the same thing over and over again I was like this is what this is what football's supposed to be then the Packers Bear game on came on that was way better I'm going to go with the Saints I hope that the pan I was going to say I hope the Panthers are better than they were last year but for the sake of their fan base they are definitely hoping that and the Saints the Saints are kind of I would want to say they are the Steelers of the NFC where they just stay the same but the Steeler that would be kind of dissing the Steelers because I I think the Steelers are a lot better than the Saints Vikings at Giants it is crazy that this was a playoff matchups two seasons ago and these teams have had such such a that in that one season in between such a whirlwind and turbulence that it just seems like two completely different teams and it's not really that it's just mainly the quarterback situation for both sides change these teams up I just don't really have much faith in the Giants the Vikings always have a good team on paper but something always gets in their way I don't think that'll be the case for this week one matchup I think I'm gonna go with the Vikings the Giants won I wouldn't be that shocked but I think this is a tone Setter for both sides I've said that several times but this matchup especially Raiders at Chargers I'm goingon to go with the Raiders shout out Devonte hopefully he is doing okay hopefully Justin Herbert is doing okay and he has a good season but I don't really know what the hell to expect from this Chargers te I think they'll be a little bit better than what they were last year and that was mainly because Herbert was going Herbert's going to be there now and change the team up a little bit Broncos at Seahawks don't really have much of an expectation for the Broncos they did beat the Packers last year which I'm trying to forget I'm going to go with the SE Hawks it's going to be another C I just expect this te te to be the same as they were last year Cowboys at the Dallas Cowboys I apologize at the Cleveland Browns I would like to see what the majority of people think for this matchup because the Cowboys had a crappy off season if we're just being honest the Browns I know they got Jerry Judy I don't really think they made any other significant changes if they did I apologize but I just think this Browns team a having Hometown Advantage which I have not mentioned for any of these other match ups I technically mentioned it for the game in the Brazil but it didn't really play affect in my prediction I just think that the Browns are going to be way more prepared than the Cowboys and I don't I don't want to say what I'm thinking but just I am I think the BR at this moment I would say the Browns are better team than the Cowboys maybe the Cowboys come out and play and prove me wrong which there's a good chance of that you know they were top team in the NFC last year but it's just like their off season was not good it was kind of a hell of an off season and it's going to boil over in this week one and I think the Browns if the Browns are ready this isn't like that bold of a prediction and again what I was trying to get as like I haven't seen much of a like prediction for this match up where the other ones I have and I haven't really went off the rails that much I feel what this one might be 50/50 might not be who really knows watch the commanders at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers I'm going to go with the Buccaneers they're just kind of a consistent team now that Tom Brady's not there I just think they're going to be the same team every year more than likely which I ain't going to lot I've said that about a lot of teams Steelers Saints Seahawks Buccaneers I guess I could throw the Browns in that conversation commanders and again I've said this about several teams but I want to very much hope for their fan base to say that this Commander team is better than it was last year which even last year team wasn't awful awful it's been way worse I guess is the best way to put it as now we get to our last Sunday match up the Sunday Night Football game which I think could be neck and neck with the Texans Colts I think because this one's got more Fanfare and I don't know if you would really call this a robbery but definitely built up history that this is going to get more the attention also obviously it is the Sunday Night Football game Los Angeles Rams at the Detroit Lions if I was picking with my heart I'd be picking the Rams I'm going pick with my brain and pick the Lions but I definitely think again like the playoff matchup is going to be very close so I'm going with the Lions as now we get to our main event last matchup Monday Night Football getting flashbacks to last freaking season's opening game on Monday Night Football the New York Jets at the San Francisco 49ers I have no clue if Aaron Rogers is going to play or not I very much hope that he does I'm picking look there might be many cases this season where I pick against the 49ers for obvious reason this is going to be one of those times where I'm picking the Jets and I think it is a good pick it's kind of the same sake 49ers and Cowboys where they just had a hell of an off season and not in like good way but I think because they have their guys there their guys are going to be more prepared and ready but I'm going to hope that the Jets win this match up just for my sake now I'll say this I was so excited like I think everyone I think a lot of people I can't say everyone a lot of people were excited last year money not football Aaron rogers's debut with this new team obviously we got it to the point where it just lasts a freaking minute and we're losing our minds over it I couldn't get over and I just I I realized in the moment I'm like I'm gonna have to watch Zach Wilson for three hours play football it's like WrestleMania we get to the main event Cody rhods hey guess what you won the Royal Rumble you're going to face Roman Reigns no you're not you're just going to go to the back and sit there the whole time [Music] and Santino you're going to come out and be in this I couldn't think of a wrestler to compare Zach Wilson too but but I still like I'm going to hope that this game Monday makes me completely forget about that and hope that every single team and every single player has a healthy and safe season I'm rooting for my Packers all the way I that play the playoffs still is the highest of highs that first matchup against the Cowboys and then that next matchup I'm not even going to mention by name very very upsetting but we got a long long long road ahead of us hopefully we all enjoy it I think a lot of good football we had even I I think there's probably going to be a lot of bad football that's going to be had but we're going to look for the good and only worry about the good I'm just spewing out nonsense this happens a lot I'm trying to I'm not really trying to extend the video but just random thoughts come in my mind and then I put them in front of the camera and I need to wrap it up so return of shooting the breeze episode number 39 Return of the NFL predict as well going to get these out early like I said throughout the rest of the season shooting the breeze might be on various days just depends on how the schedule goes for the sake of the schedule this week tomorrow will be allout predictions granted I don't know what a majority of the card is but as I always say if anything significant changes I'll comment my thoughts on it down below and as always Friday another Arch TV review which I I think to be exact is episode number 80 80 straight freaking weeks we've done an R review and I say this a lot I have no clue what's going to happen on this week's episode of r witch
