Sometime thereafter again conversations with Mandy for the same purpose and talked with a couple of other jurors somewhere along in succeeding months. The defense began to contact jurors and that was in support of their ultimate motion for new trial. The defense contacted me I had I did not contact them. They asked if I would allow them to talk to these 2 jurors and any others that I was involved with. I made arrangements that didn't go to the interviewed them and they secured from both these ladies affidavits I will say this. >> About Myra her book. >> She is said on other programs and I regret shouldn't be on the day. Her writing a book was a matter of frustrations, not a book she began to write while she was on the jury unlike and the situation she obviously struggles with you a little bit this morning. television think being on television having being the center of attention make sure uncomfortable thinker affidavits and there are 2 of them speak for themselves. And and you know I sympathize with I think this is just heart. It's a difficult being in that very small community. But I think that that what she is explained it to me and I'm not trying to put words in her mouth or interpret for. But the sum total of her affidavit or that's a clerk of courts. Conversations with her and with the jury were such as to when influence them in a way to reach a guilty verdict that's my understanding from her that's what I think she told the court that's what you play in the affidavit and she said in a subsequent aftergood after the presented to justice so that she felt pressured. >> Stills will imposed upon her to reach a guilty verdict before she ever walking the jury and and then of course the jury room was a different kind of a crucible that there was pressure from both directions you. >> Joe appreciate that I have another this is a during that hearing with justice toll and where you're talking about Becky help pressuring you to speak to the media after the verdict, let's take a listen to that and to Becky Hills response. >> Immediately before she doesn't miss you pressure the jury to speak as a group 2 reporters from a television show. Okc here with Becky Hill said they're under man to what your response to that. >> When we were deliberating it was more of like. >> She felt like. >> She was trying to get us to. like. I wish that I could go back and change it. >> But. >> In I can't so. >> Tell us please Mandy what makes you go back and wish you could change >> I still have more didn't get answered all right. So. I guess if I could go you know have. Go back and redo. That night then. Probably would have said not guilty. For what reason Mandy. Like I said in another you know they never found. A lot of times they don't fun murder weapons. >> Do you think Alec Murdock disposed of the murder weapons. >> I can say that I have no idea. >> Tell me in in going to this trial. Being a deliberating juror, you know and was one thing and then all the aftermath of we're still in in in the aftermath right I mean we we may not even have a firm resolution depending on what the Supreme Court in South Carolina decides. And what's it been like for you give give us give all of our viewers watching at home an idea of how this trial has changed your life. >> It really hasn't changed my Much. I don't really pay too much attention to like social media. Because everybody is entitled to their own opinion. The only thing that's still kind of sticks with me with the trial the pictures pollen Maggie because they were. They are gruesome. That is basically the only thing. And like I said I. >> I don't really get on and I get on social media, but if I see anything that's about jersey. It really I ignore it. >> You're smart to do that and talking with your team. Jo mccauley can help guide you you know through all of this and what comes Mandy thank you for being so open in answering our questions this we really appreciate your time and Joe wanted to offer you the last word here is or anything else you think that's important for people to know about this process or for what or with what you're clients in humanity Pearson with us today and then my cars B a the quick wit the AG Lady, your other client who unfortunately we couldn't connect with this morning, you'd like us to know, yeah. >> Julie thanks 2 quick things I will make us a nation but I think it is really important. >> For. >> Viewers and and people to understand it's natural for people to have. >> To second and important decision they may. What Mandy what Myron have experienced here is a second guessing. That began with there concerns that the state did not prove its case. Before the jury room was every 100 by that year. They had questions then Morrow was then removed Mandy continued she had questions because of what I was told to her by the clerk of courts, she said under oath. She had questions going into the jury room so now today this morning still having questions. It's not like she woke up yes today decided maybe I made the wrong decision. She's had that concern that's why she's come to see fields as Meyer Crosby fields and other jurors testified and have talked with the defense and it experience there are expressed the same concerns. Now I will say secondarily. Responsible commentators should be focused on that jury tampering tampering element of this case. I know a commentator on your program yesterday these 2 jurors for coming forward criticize them for breaching their juror. Start talking to the clerk of court for saying that they talked to the 3rd quarter. That just is wrongheaded and it's just doesn't accurately reflect the system the first think the jurors were told by Judge Newman at the beginning of the trial. Your guide through this process, your liaison with the court will be the clerk of court. So it is quite natural when the clerk of court that person who's in charge of you for the next 6 weeks comes to you and ask questions as these ladies have said. >> Used her position to persuade as these ladies have said. There's nothing mysterious about that there's nothing untoward about there is nothing improper. These jurors responding to the person they've been told is in charge of that. So for a commentator a lawyer to say there's something wrong that's just shows a lack of knowledge about the process and I believe what was said. >> It wasn't that it was If my memory serves me correctly Joey attorney Eric bland was talking about was why now why now are your 2 clients coming forward why speaking has there been any influence anything at all that's occurred. You know from the time the trial and until this so it was more in the form of a But everybody up chance to to speak this is why we wanted to ask your clients directly we actually you know wanted to all to come on that day after we saw that on the FOX interview was done. There was an availability as I understood it with your clients and so I'm Eric who represents 6 of the other jurors just said that they. We're not improperly >> and anyway that the court isn't going consider anything being discussed on this program is only what's in the transcript says you know Joe at that they're going to consider as they make their decision for Allen it's been wonderful talking with the both would love to consider continue the conversation and if if you consider having in Mira pick another date that might work well for h
