Nikki Chapman presenter of escape to the country paid a heartfelt tribute to her husband as they celebrated their wedding anniversary Nikki married Dave shaki shako a music producer and Sony BMG executive in 1999 the 57-year-old BBC host took to Instagram on Tuesday July 9th to commemorate 25 years of marriage sharing a series of photos of the couple over the years the first image featured Nikki and Dave in the s of France followed by other holiday snapshots and concluded with photos from their wedding day Nikki captioned the Post 25 years it's our silver wedding anniversary this day 25 years ago was one of the hottest of the year not quite the same today but still in love with my boy as much now as I was then the former pop stars judge humorously added punching above my weight definitely at shaki 01 not sure we or perhaps just me could fit into our wedding attire like another celebrating couple recently however some photos of us taken this year in the south of France green dress of Dreams actually belongs to a dear friend who kindly lent it to me on a cruise out and about and our actual wedding day at Sion house Nikki concluded her post by expressing her love for Dave and thanking friends and family for their anniversary wishes the post received numerous messages from friends and followers congratulating the couple on their Milestone one follower wrote huge congratulations to you both here's to the next 25 another added happy silver wedding anniversary to you both have a wonderful day being spoiled and looking to the next 25 a third commented happy silver wedding anniversary to you both beaming with happiness and love then and now the years fly by too quickly many more happy years to you both last year Nikki shared her health scare after doctors discovered a tumor the size of a golf ball on her brain the life-saving surgery she required posed risks of permanent loss of speech sight or movement although a small part of the tumor was too dangerous to remove Nikki was relieved when she later received news that the tumor had completely gone recalling the moment she got the all clear Nikki said I was filming escape to the country and standing in a field of pigs when my consultant phoned me he told me my brain tumor had gone I asked him is that usual and he said yes but it's quite rare I immediately phoned my husband Dave and we were both in tears it was such a huge relief to us both
