Boulder Colorado one of the most picturesque locations in the world extra blockers on the field offense goes Full House trying to find his man on first down into double coverage and they made him pay it's intercepted and they'll drag him down a good return on the interception and I know this defense statistically hasn't been one of the best against the past this year but they have had some guys banged up they believe they've got difference makers on the back end that just need to Colorado has the ball back and the Buffalo hoping to put their team in Prime position on offense well the good news about this drive Jesse it can't go worse than last time through a pick on the first play no it certainly can't I think one good way David to help your quarterback Turn the Page is just find him an easy completion here and let him get back into a rhythm yeah or find him an easy handoff just hand the football off maybe get the ground game going maybe jump start this offense and it's incomplete after taking a shot on second down they're staring at third they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here trying to get to him Nifty little Stamper on this one enough for the first down and he slides in safely nice job nice way to end that play for the QB he does a really good job scrambling getting the first down and getting down because defensively I'm trying to get a lick anytime I can hit the quarterback that is a win he showed it all there a little elusiv a little power and got the first down all right well look I know the defense was feeling real good about their run de coming into this one and how they've been playing up to this point but finally David the offense breaks through and they finally generate something positive on the ground and I can't tell you how easy it is when you're going to throw the ball consistently and I know it I'm going to pin my ears back and I'm going to get to the quarterback it makes life really easy on the defensive line but when you can have balance now the defense doesn't know what's coming they need more of this if they're going to be successful on offense how about getting the foot down on that throw for the big completion and the buffalos will have it first and 10 used the play fake now to throw unloads to the Wi out working that left side they make the stop at the 5 yd line but they've got it first and goal well he was licking jobs as soon as he saw Blitz he knew some guy was trying to cover him manto man ain't going to happen with his skill set he's one of the best in the country and that is just way too easy and he has a solid gain before the defense bottles him up now the offense tries to punch it in on second and goal he'll keep it himself nowhere to run on that one he loses four on the carry well just nothing doing on that last run and they knew coming into this one they were going to be challenged right this is one of the best defenses in all of college football for them to have any shot they're going to have to do a lot better running the football buys a little extra time and it's caught tdch down one final play before the end of the quarter the option look the pitch they make the Stop and that's how the first quarter will end we are through one period and these receivers are showing out big time take a look at the stats back at it to open the quarter with this first down play they move the tight end all over coming out on first down with the play fake can't find his man as he took a shot trying to deliver that football and it'll be second down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again dropping back it's Sanders tremendous awareness along the sideline and the ability to get the foot down for the big pick up he finally goes out of bounds after the explosive play but now the question is did the officials see something to bring it back they decline the penalty for pass interference and they'll stand on the results of the play the offense comes back out with a new set of downs after the penalty they'll run the option he'll toss it a seven yd pickup it'll be second and three you know what I really like about games like this at this point in the season you find out who you are you find out whether you're going to stay in the race and who can step up and handle the challenge right this is easily one of the toughest games to date for both of these programs coming into this one so there's a lot of eyeballs Dave on this game to find out who's mentally and emotionally the toughest yeah and we're going to point to this game as we get later in the year and big decisions are made you've got a top 25 win you beat them in the middle of the Season X Y and Z so these are big for the resume three yards first down for the offense after that penalty throws to the wide out it's complete huge game before he goes out of bounds and now they've got it first and goal how about this offense they're rolling they got a couple first downs together defense next what's your response what do you got you got to make some adjustments here he'll be brought down at the 5 Y Line and this defense is on its heels second and goal for the offense they'll run the option he'll toss it smashes through the [Applause] tackle here's this offense with a fresh set of downs looking to throw it's Sanders he tries to take the top off and it's knocked away downfield DB getting a hand in there and after the incompletion on first down this offense looking at second down from the gun they'll try to impose their running game he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three and there was no space nowhere to go that play went absolutely nowhere sometimes you just need a dude to show up and make a play and he did sometimes you just need to block that dude and they did defense was not fooled by that screen to the back and they'll stop him short of the marker it'll be fourth down you want to talk about aggressive or wacky this head coach is keeping his offense on the field inside his own 30 and they can't looking for a productive play on first down on the option got to be smart patient great vision uses all of that to get to the 29 they ran it on first down now on second on the option he'll pitch it cross the 30 to the 35 and that's a gain of six yeah and a great job by the offensive line seeing the blitz picking it up and then it's on the running back running back finds a hole gets a little bit of a crease makes a nice run out these are the types of plays where offenses impose their will third and short from the 45 on the option he'll pitch it perfectly timed on that pitch and they pick up the first down on the play well as a defense you know this is going to be a challenge every time you face this offense they're one of the 25 best in the nation at getting first downs because they can pick them up in a variety of ways including running the football you have got to be physical when facing off against this offense first down here with time for maybe one more play until the two-minute warning it's the two-minute warning and we'll see if the offense can tack a little something extra on their lead before the break and the buffalo have it with a first and 10 to the air it's Sanders fires to the wide out finds a man on the left and he was on his way gets it all the way to the 38 this offense absolutely humming as they come to the line again they'll throw it on first down going for it all and that pass picked off he'll try to take it back heeps out of BS LLY gets set first down looking to move it through the air I don't think that's the way they drew it up incomplete second and 10 here he's looking to throw oh he drops it that is a catch he makes 99 times out of a 100 but it'll be third down they line up with some serious work to do if they want tover convert this one on Third and long try to convert through the air and that'll be incomplete they certainly weren't afraid to take a shot there and now it's Fourth Down the buffalos decide to punt it [Applause] away he gets it up to the 34 yd line all right guys so here's the offense back on the field again now on the option tackle is made at the 28 after a pick up of three it's just so nice to know you can start off on first down with positive plays positive yards hand the football off set up a good second down quarterback reacting to what the D is showing they'll Run play action oh he's going to try to hit him deep and he's got it inside the 20 and they were looking for a chunk play and they got it the explosive picks up more than 30 they say it's still a game of field position and that last one just flipped this baby they've got it first and 10 in the Red Zone CLS ahead for a pick up of four down to the 14 going to work in the Red Zone they can't pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone back to throw it's Sanders pulls it in the end zone here comes the offense on first [Applause] down here comes the option he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple after getting knocked back to open this drive it's second and 12 goes to the option he'll toss it oh what a move to get room he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense [Applause] Ed the play fake now to throw fires to the middle makes a connection and a pick up of better than 30 yards on that completion before the defense brings him down what a beautiful throw and catch on this play and I love the job the receiver did tracking the ball in the air nice job of locating the throw and then hauling it in oh gives him the tough STI arm and and they drag him down but not before he picks up the first down first down you know you always want to establish the running game how about this offense nothing fancy run the football be physical get a big game wants to throw on first down they're bringing heat and he was hit just as he released it and it falls to the turf and finally the defense is able to get some pressure on this quarterback theyve been trying all game long different ways to affect him weren't able to get there but on that play because of the pressure it affected his accuracy and that's why the ball Falls in got a good one going here all tied up in the third it's second and 10 now the toss he's right out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down time winding down in the quarter as they come to the line to throw it's Sanders time running out and he goes down at the 34 they fought tooth and nail through three and it is all locked up as we take a look at the stats we'll get this quarter going with a second down Play Motion from the offense quick pass on the Fly motion hit the gas kid wide open ahead gets it into the end zone but there's a flag down we'll see if this one is coming [Applause] back man at this stage of the game does that hurt to have six points taken off the board now they've got to regroup and try to get it in [Applause] again quarterback empties his back field [Applause] on second down he's looking down field he found a little opening and got loose they couldn't stop him in the back field so a solid pick up there well great job there by the defense because they weren't able to get him sacked right away but you saw the coverage in the back end nowhere for the quarterback to throw the football didn't get the sack obviously you don't get the negative play but you also don't give up a big one you're feeling pretty good about where you are right now in this drive and it slips through his fingers inm complet that would have been a huge gain if he could have squeezed it and the offense got themselves in a tough situation third and long so hard to execute especially when the field starts to shrink but the good news is they got a field goal in their back pocket on fourth down going to the air touch down buffalo and the Colorado offense is coming back onto the field how about that last drive just carved him up in the air David yeah how about that quarterback you gave him the ball and he delivered the goods great job taking aart the defense Jesse on that last drive he really did David I mean that was a master class in just reading coverage and being accurate dropping back it's Sanders Pockets starts to collapse and the pressure was too much they get him at the 15 that is how you start a drive meet the physical challenge on first down rush the quarterback get the sack on second down and now put him in a third and long situation nice job by this defense on Third and long no secret what he needs here and this will be picked off a costly turnover in a TI all wide outs no backs he'll start this drive firing he's got it on the left open Runway ahead touchdown box and they move the defense is going to DARE them to throw the ball they know the off def is trying to run out the clock he'll come out throwing on first down and he makes the catch inside the 25 [Applause] touchdown Colorado has the ball back and the Buffalo hoping to put their team in Prime position on offense guys you want to be productive here and not go into shell but you've got to take care of the ball yeah and I think you say productive he productive at this point in the game is running the clock and getting first down so Jesse I can expect this defense to be aggressive way up near the line of scrimmage bringing a bunch of bodies trying to stop the run and that's why it puts a lot of pressure on an offense David because you know if you do try to throw the football it's probably man coverage you're probably getting Blitz it's going to be into a small window it is not easy to execute in this situation of the game looking throw fires into the end zone and he was going for the touchdown there and they couldn't make the connection you simply don't see that very often a quarterback of this guy's caliber missing a guy wide open in the end zone he makes those throws in his sleep defense showing plenty of free- snap movement of their own didn't get anything on first down now second and goal from the seven and he can't find his man as he was trying to pay off this Red Zone opportunity a huge chance for points here on Third and goal and if they can get it in we might have ourselves a here's an interception oh did they need that [Applause] turnover offense getting set for first down looking to throw it's Sanders looking left lost the defense he's wide open finally he run out of bounds but he has this offense rolling with a first down I'll be honest man if I had the weapons these guys had offensively I'd be staying aggressive too it's what got him this point it's why they have the lead here in the fourth quarter take some shots when those opportunities present themselves hit hard as he released the ball on that first down pass and it never had a chance yeah and you don't see that often right this guy is Elite he's one of the best in the business this is what he does for a living obviously it's why he gets paid millions of dollars yes nil is real so I I don't expect many misses from this guy like that nice move there and he's able to shed one tackle and pick up pretty good yardage defense gets the timeout called 20 seconds left on the clock man the defense you hold your breath when this receiver has the football out in space you have got to make sure you're playing with outstanding Pursuit nice job there but and he reels it in for a [Applause] touch seven is the lucky and skilled number for this squad as they've made it to this point in the season and they are still perfect still perfect and they're cooking you can tell they got some momentum you know seven weeks obviously that does
