NXT No Mercy 2024 Results & Review: New Champions, Giulia Debuts, Betrayals & Champions Retained

what's up YouTube it's your boy Nasher welcome back to the channel and holy what what a PL for NXT it was I'm not even going to say anything except the fact that holy this was just this was as crazy as last night at bash and Berlin if you guys thought bash and Berlin last last night was crazy this was just as some might believe that the ending to some of these matches might have been a bit unorthodox some might believe that they're but you know what I'm not going to complain because this was uh absolutely incredible from from the top of the car to the to the main event I'm not going to waste any time I'm just going to get straight into it with the NXT Tag Team titles between Chase uses Andre Chase and of course Ridge Holland defending their their Tag Team titles against Fraser and axum in a rematch from I believe from the Great American bash if I'm not mistaken and uh it's weird it's weird because because this was actually R Rich Holland's very first title in WWE yes he had he yes he did have have opportunities on on NXT UK yes he did have opportunities in in NXT the first time he was a part of the brand yes he had had a few few tag title opportunities on the main roster when he was a part of the brawling brutes but this was the big this was an an opportunity that rich Holland took and uh yeah he he took it he and Cha Andre Chase became NXT Tag Team Champions but this matchup was absolutely incredible from Bell to Bell this was this was just just incredible near fall after nearfall big move after Big Move Phoenix splashes golden ratios flatliner this was all over the place and you would think that chase you would have retained set tax teing house but unfortunately it was all for not as we saw uh Fraser and axi um um actually actually um actually um Fraser pinned on Andre Chase with the Phoenix spash to retain sorry to regain the NXT Tag Team titles but what comes after that I don't even have have the words for it but but at the same time when you look at it and when you think about rich Holland's past you can't really say that that we're that we were all surprised excuse me but we saw rid Holland attack all the members of of Chase you duke Hudson Riley Osborne and of course Andre Chase hit hitting Andre Chase with a with a sort of like a weird DDT I don't know I don't know what the to call it but on on the announced putting him in the hospital um aside from aside from that aside from that the card was Absol not not the card the match itself was stupid crazy from Bell to Bell this was an instant Classic this is if if you're looking for great for excellent tag team wrestling in in WWE NXT is the place to be obviously yeah Balor and McDonna you know have the world tack titles and the bloodline got you know you know have the WWE tacking titles but with with the Judgment Day they haven't they they haven't defended the titles even once but Bloodlines defended the titles at least like what twice at at at you know three times at best but NXT NXT is where the best wrestle L when when it comes to to tag team wrestling NXT is one the best wrestle if you know you know and this was an easy five stars I'm not even going to Sugar I'm not even going to sugarcoat it five stars easy obviously yes chase you could could have could have retained the titles but when you really look at it Ridge and and Andre Chase had had only teamed up maybe once or twice so they were still relatively new as a team and I feel like as if if it was Duke Hudson and and Andre Chase they would have retained the retained set tting tiles easily and actually funny enough since they're a cohesive unit they could have used the Freebird Rule and and chase you still would have walked out of Denver as Tag Team Champions but congrats to axium and Fraser on becoming two-time Tag Team Champions Now we move into a match that honestly none of us thought it would ever happen Wesley and Zachary Wentz who is now the new NX not NXT the brand new TNA X Division champion after winning after winning the title via ultimate X this past Friday shout outs to Wentz on that massive Victory this was this was just as incredible as the NXT Tag tanking title matchup this was high flying as at its best if these two were in the finals of a tournament to Crown a new Cruiserweight Champion if there was a tournament final right that you know that would determine a new cruiserweight champion this match would have been it Zachary Wentz Wesley former msk members former um former Rascal members funny enough and this was incredible meteoras Super Kicks it was crazy we even also saw Zachary Wentz literally remembered the surgic the surgically repaired back of Wesley and applied a Boston crab onto Wesley and we even thought as well the moment weslee hit a massive move on the outside we thought it was going to be over but we saw Trey Miguel stop Wesley from hitting Wentz with with with the steel chair which allowed Zachary Wentz to hit Wesley with the UFO cutter to win The Grudge Match and um I don't know I don't know I think uh I think with the fact that the Rascals will be will be in a triple threat number one contenders match this coming Tuesday say I have a feeling Wesley is probably going to get involved at some point in the matchup which is possible but only time will tell but this is an easy fourstar match up this was absolutely incredible um obviously yeah Wesley probably could have could could have won if the ry's back was turned or if he was not knocked out cold or something like that but let's be real Zachary Wentz needed that that Victory and to be fair it's a massive W for for TNA because by having Wentz pick up the victory over over a guy like like weslee it gives TNA more confidence to potentially do you know to potentially do a collaboration you know plle with NXT or even with the entire WWE you know have you know have the main roster get get their own pl's NXT get gets their own ples and whatnot like like think about this right NXT bow for Glory you know WWE buys out buys out the rights or rather or or I I wouldn't say buy out the rights but um but but does a does a collaboration with TNA where Bound for Bound for Glory becomes a pla for both companies for both Brands if you will that would be interesting or even better WWE Victory Road possible possible or maybe even even NXT Genesis I mean the possibility the possibilities are out there or even NXT Le lethal lockdown that would be a good one that would be a good one but again with this again with this with this Victory it gives TNA TNA more confidence and may maybe just enough to again may maybe do p do a p collabing with NXT with you know that's not just having one or two stars come in you know that would be interesting but we'll have to wait and see but again four stars easy next up the NXT Women's North American Title between Kanani Jordan and Wendy 2 This was um strange I will say very um this was uh very strange to say the very least when CH is a bit of a OD ball I guess if you will and uh we thought that uh we there have been multiple times where where Wendy Chu was we we all thought when Wendy Chu was going to win there was even a moment where she had had had the clutch on Kanani Jordan and right as the arm was going to go down nope I ain't giving up I ain't done yet and it took not only a 450 but a one of of a Kind split leg moonsa that again she calls One of a Kind kind a little omage to Rob Van Dam the Hall of Famer to retain the NXT Women's North American Title but after that we saw Tatum paxley make her triumphant return to attack Wendy Chu with a dragon sleeper proving that now a new rivalry has has begun in the form of both in in the form of Wendy Chu versus tanum paxley and perhaps colani Jordan might have some new Challengers coming you know coming in at some point but this was this was a bit of an odd one a part of me kind of wants to give it give it three stars or sorry yeah yeah it kind of a part of me wants to give it three stars because of how because of how how the match went but at the same time when you look at what what colani Jordan had done since becoming women's North American champion she's had Banger after Banger a little omage to to Sheamus Banger after Banger after Banger and I think this was one of them so I'll be optimistic and I will give it four stars and I feel like if Wendy Chu had have kept the clutch in just a little bit longer colani Jordan would have been would have passed out and and Chu would have walked out as Champion but speaking of the North American Title we move from from the women's title to the men's North American Title as the ruler obafemi defendant against the dawn Tony D'Angelo I've said I've said this before over the years and I'll see it again especially when it comes to the to to the men's North American Title I'm being real I I've said it before when it comes to the men's North American Title there is not one match that was not a banger not one this was one this was indeed one of those matches that was a banger at its finest and it was an instant classic I never would have imagined that I never would have imagined obafemi kicking out of of a sort of like a modified perfect Plex if you will that that he calls forget about it I never never will imagine he would kick kick out of that nor would I ever imagin Tony D'Angelo kicking out of a popup Power Bomb that OB FEI has used in the past but this was this was absolutely incredibly crazy absolutely insane I kind of figured that the rest of the D'Angelo family would have um would have uh would have gotten involved but shockingly enough they didn't they actually did not get involved I'm kind of surp surprise but obviously obviously Obi did attack both both the underboss chenning STX lzo and and and the ciary uh Luca cusino he even had a crowbar cusino even had a crowbar and Oba took it out of his jacket and we thought that he was going to use it on Tony D'Angelo but obviously stats Stacks took it and well it was pretty much all downhill from there for for the dawn as it took not one not two but three power bombs onto Tony D to retain the North American Title aside from all the chaos at ringside this was pretty crazy to say the very least but I will I will say obafemi is going is a force to be reckoned with I've said it before he is a force to be reckon with and I don't know who in the hell will be able to take that North American Title off of him I don't know who I honestly don't know if you guys know let me know in the comments because this is crazy but four stars hands down absolutely insane um at at at this point it's kind of hard hard to say whether or not um whether or not uh to Tony D'Angelo would have won it's kind of hard hard to say cuz if he kept using for forget about it onto OB FEI like if if he used like four or maybe five of them on on FEI maybe he would have had a chance but I really don't don't know it's kind of hard to say but with that being said we move into the NXT Women's title as Jay Parker challenged roxan Perez obviously J J Parker won a gauntlet Eliminator to win set to win said match and it was uh I don't even I don't I don't even know what to say except this was uh this was insane um obviously we knew that that we knew that um uh Jada Parker had U had Bruce ribs at the hands of uh at the hands of uh roxan Perez and also from I think from The Gauntlet Gauntlet Eliminator funny enough so um that came into play very drastically and um we thought that that that she would have won the title with her with the move uh teardrop and something else so some sort of a hip attack um to win the title but Rox irez kicked out and it was just back and forth crossface ring of Saturn AB abdom abominable stretch it was absolutely crazy but the closing moments we saw roxan Perez hit J Jada Parker with pop rocks onto a piece of barricade and then hit Pop Rocks again in the ring for roxan to retain the NXT Women's title but you would think that that that would have been over nope it wasn't because we saw the lights go out we heard music come in and out came Julia I'm going to be honest I heard I've heard so much about about Julia and um I can I can tell I and I can honestly say from the videos that I had seen on social media she is going to be a force to be reckoned with in NXT and maybe Julia will be the one to take the title off of rock and Perez and maybe she she could very May well end up being being just as much much a dominant Champion as as Asuka was when she was the NXT Women's Champion think about that over 500 Days is Champion I don't think anybody will be able to break that Reign not even roxan Perez would be will be able to break it so um or well maybe she could she might not who knows but but Julia shout outs to her welcome to NXT welcome to WWE it's going to be fun fun to watch her in action can't wait I kind of figured that Julia would would would have attacked roxan Perez but it is what it is but can't wait overall though the match itself was was absolutely crazy five stars I you can't you really can't go wrong with roxan Perez putting on and an an instant classic you really can't and the fact that the fact that J Parker was able to go was able to go the distance against roxan Perez proves that she is ready to be a champion not just in in NXT but just but in WWE all together and obviously tonight was was not her night but we will have to wait for her next opportunity but we but only time we tell but but congrats to roxan Perez and congrats to Julia on finally debuting in and NXT last time we saw her in NXT obviously was at Stand and Deliver back in April in Philadelphia now can't wait can not wait but we now move into the main event for the NXT title you want to talk about Zachary Wentz picking up momentum after tonight let's be real anytime you see Joe Henry in an NXT ring he always brings the momentum and the and that momentum ends up going to TNA but he went toe-to-toe with all ego Ethan pagee for the NXT title with trick Williams as the guest referee I don't even know how to how to say it except the fact that trick Williams actually made good on his word he called it down the center and just he was he he literally called it down the center and counted everything that took place in that ring even when even when Joe Henry hit that standing ovasion choke slam onto e Ethan Paige Paige's leg his foot was under the bottom rope and he he counted that and stopped the count which was incredibly crazy I never would have I never would have thought trick Williams would have been a man of his word but funny enough he was he did become a man of his word and and I will admit it I will be one to admit I thought he was going to play favorites and screw Ethan Paige out of the NXT title but funny enough he didn't he actually did not at all he didn't no he he didn't but but obviously trick Williams did get did get bumped into bumped into by Joe Hendry at the hands of of Ethan pagee another referee came in and yeah it it was just CRA it it was crazy um the title The the NXT title came in into play and as Joe Hendry was about to pick it up from from The Ring boom DDT and then trick Williams stopped the count and then Ethan paage hit hit hit the second referee tricks back was turd low blow to Joe Joe Henry OS Edge one two three trick Williams not only counted the three but Rose the hand of Ethan page and now we know that that on the on the debut premiere of NXT on the CW it will be trck Williams challenging Ethan pagee for said NXT title but it was after the match that made all that made things a bit interesting as we saw TR Williams Williams get hit hit with The Bitter End by Pete Dunn so this obviously proves that Pete Dunn wants the NXT title as this trick but in order for trick Williams to get get closer to Ethan Paige he has to get past the Bruiser way and all in all though I think all in all the match absolutely solid I think I think Ethan page retaining the title A lot of people might believe that it was it was a bad judgment call on on on creative's part but I think it was a smart a smart idea and and the reason why I say that is because is because this gave this gave Joe Henry a sort of like a Learning lesson I I I I guess if you will that that even though even though you have been wrestling around the world for you know for for about for about a decade or so you still H have a lot to learn about NXT and obviously yes he did say that he would stick around in NXT for a little bit longer ER I don't know I I don't know if he'll go back to TNA and go on to become their world champion I don't know what the hell Joe Joe Henry's got plans but I have to say after tonight I believe in Joe Henry um but all in all four stars I think I think I think this was pretty solid I would have given it five if uh if it if it wasn't for the chaos involving the second referee and all that but still four stars all in all the card itself was was absolutely ins saying not much else to say about it I'm going to give it I will give it four stars hands down but but but obviously now that bash in in Berlin and no mercy are now in in the record books and in the rearview mirror we now move our put move our attention to not only to not only bad blood but Halloween havoc and they are going to be
