Pitt vs Cincinnati postgame reaction

hello everyone John waffle h2p here and guys um I don't even know what to say but thank God we pulled out that win um incredible comeback and I mean incredible comeback I'll say that and maybe I was a little high on Holston but I still think he is a 100% the guy he just needs to get more practice in and he's going to be great here what I saw in the fourth quarter um usually if it was last year or even the year before I would say we are through we are through and I honestly thought we were through I was expected to I was expecting to come up here and say fire nzi the defense is bad and stuff now I still criticize Nardi this was a very ugly ugly football game and there's no way of any excuses over this but the reality is we beat Cincinnati 28-27 H that field goal kick by the Ohio native SS Ben Sauls better call Sauls was incredible he should be the MVP of this game if it wasn't for our offense coming back big time now looking at the defense it was ugly guys I mean let's be honest I mean I I can't really expect too much I'm still very critical of our defense and that's where we are going to be for the next few weeks and yes we had a lot of bad plays from our quarterback Holston like in the first uh first series where we had the ball he threw an interception but I mean guys he's young still uh he just needs to develop hopefully we don't lose him or anything again because we need to have a good offense he is 100% better than jerkovic don't even get me started and I see a lot of people saying slob is this slob is that no he's better than him too in my opinion after seeing him ton night now that could change if we go on because yes I mean this was a comeback game uh we were down about three touchdowns at the half and during the third quarter it it seemed really bad I mean they were just hammering us uh big time but at the end of the day we pull we come back the old pit way and basically win with a good oldfashioned field goal from Ohio native himself Ben Sauls uh he is going to be missed next year but hopefully he gets a gig in the NFL but we still have a whole year to go so with that being said guys we are 2 and 0 going into Backyard Brawl week Cincinnati the thing about the Cincinnati series I mean a a lot of people want to say it was a rivalry in the making this and that I mean for me personally I would say it was more of a big East rivalry uh the Paddle Wheel trophy which is apparently lost apparently it's in the financial department they're holding it at a library somewhere they're refusing to give it I don't really care about some arts and crafts trophy it doesn't have any significance it's not like the old jug for Michigan Minnesota the cup that they use for Arizona Arizona State it has no significance to me I mean it's something that was created in the early 2000s late 90s cringe stuff like let's make this a rivalry it was always like third down below like West Virginia Penn State obviously then even Notre Dame and Syracuse because they have more historical significance I mean the one game that is always on every pit Fan's mind including myself was that 2009 Championship Series game which we crumbled from um it was good to go get back of course that this game is not going to have any impact or Revenge from some game like 12 or 15 years ago but I mean it is sure it sure felt great to see all the pit fans cheering in an empty Cincinnati Stadium again we should have an oncampus Stadium or our own stadium somehow I know there's barely any room but I mean that place is very underrated to play in i i as much as I hate these Cincinnati fans and how H just cringe and how annoying they are they like I mean I wish them I mean they have their own stadium historically it's been there it's one of the oldest colleges in the United States along with pit and Ohio itself um and that Stadium's been there for over a hundred years and look at all the updates they did to it I mean beautiful I mean it's small but I mean it's a beautiful Stadium um and those student SE that student section those fans are always there I'm not trying to trash our fans but I mean you get what it is it's a different environment there it's a different environment there and I understand the NFL stadium the college stadiums are different than one another maybe if we had our own we could fill up but I mean it's just a different vibe Miami does the same thing and they're undefeated and probably a national championship Contender this year and they're still not getting the attendance that they want but going on to the game um amazing comeback that's what I'll say first half third quarter just a nightmare scenario I mean I felt like we didn't get anything done but the the fact is uh for somehow our offense started booming and if we see what we got in the fourth quarter next week against West Virginia who I'm still not really I who I still don't really know what type of team they have uh and I'll get to that like on Wednesday hopefully but I think we are in for a pretty good year we what I saw is we just have to win the games as they go I mean we're just going to get better as the year goes by that's what I see from this team now I could be wrong we could start losing games left and right but we are going into Backyard Brawl week 2 and0 that is something we didn't last year it doesn't change the fact that I mean even if we did we I mean we had a quarterback situation this guy holon and even Yarnell who a lot of people want I mean I don't have anything against Yarnell at all I think he's a good quarterback I think he would be a great quarterback if holon gets hurt I mean if he starts throwing interceptions left and right against West Virginia whose defense is kind of iffy yes I'll say put jarnell in but until that I think holon is the guy like Eli holon is the face of pit football right now and Nardi I mean I still criticize him I think he I mean but somehow I definitely criticize the defensive coordinator I mean that is the one critical phase and we got it start changing things up if that doesn't happen but our defense found a way somehow with the spread to get uh to get the motivation back into us and if we play like we did against West Virginia next week Youngstown State the following week and then North Carolina Cals Syracuse Etc the next few weeks we have a chance to have a special season if not we are just going to be miserable like we were last year but right now we need to celebrate 28 to 27 I had a feeling it would be a ground pound game like this um of course I thought maybe we would start off strong uh it doesn't matter for now we have a lot of work we have to do uh I'm not going to go on a rant about the defense because we had a w but I am very critical of the defense that is our weak point right now our weakest point and West Virginia is going to be a different story their offense seemed pretty good against Albany but that's Albany that's an that's in the future we got to focus on the end of this week so that being said guys I mean Ben Sauls MVP in the John waffle h2p book um everything else I mean is fine I mean I thought I was silly about the game ball situation at the end of the game their fans acting like sore losers but we don't have to deal with them anymore they'll be in the Big 12 and we're going to go into the ACC play so that being said like subscribe share this
