the debate started with KL Harris walking over and shaking hands with Donald Trump and went for 90 minutes with no audience plus each candidate's microphones were muted when it wasn't their turn to talk as for closing statements Harris went first because Trump won the coin flipped on September 3rd I intend to be a president for all Americans and focus on what we can do over the next 10 and 20 years to build back up our country by investing right now in you the American people she just started by saying she's going to do this she's going to do that she's going to do all these wonderful things why hasn't she done it the candidates discussed key issues including the economy women's rights immigration climate change the war between Israel Hamas and the war between Russia and Ukraine sometimes it got heated David mura and Lindsey Davis moderated the debate on ABC and were live factchecking throughout we'll be breaking down the debate and how the candidates responded to a lot of issues on our show tomorrow so make sure to check out our new episode
