Howard @ Rutgers

at 6:00 on Thursday we got Howard who went six and six traveling to Ruckers who went seven and six Ruckers fa by 34 and a half points on the Big 10 Network I know this doesn't sound like a great game on the surface Howard Ruckers who cares I care I care so much because this is the first game of week one baby this is where it all really starts week zero was a great treat it was a great treat you get a little bit of football you get four football game but this is the first time we get a Full Slate of football my boys we get every single college football team playing in like a 5day window cuz you get Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday Monday Baby five whole days of football and what I love about week one I understand this happens every week of the entire season is you get most teams play I understand you're going to have buys for some weeks right every single game at least at the beginning matters right cuz every single team you don't know what this team's going to be able to do that that's that wa for every single football team in the entire nation every single team has hope at the beginning of the year maybe this will be a TCU year for them maybe this will be a Louisville year for them right like you don't know what your team's going to be capable of doing until you watch them play on the football field I think that's so beautiful every single team has hope at the beginning of the year every single one of these games matters to an extent for the playoffs and I think that's so cool uh Gavin whims that for ruers went 138 of 289 last year through for 1735 yards nine touchdowns eight interceptions Kyle mananga had 242 carries for 1,262 yards and eight touchdowns and Christian drummel had 36 catches for 468 yards and three touchdowns what I think is extremely interesting about this Ruckers team moving forward right no more Gavin whims at he's gone they bring in a c Manis I wasn't the biggest cak Manis fan when he was at Minnesota but I will say that ruter went 7- six last year without really a quarterback that would manage the offense right whim that again almost had as many interceptions as he did touchdowns he did a good job on the ground um but KY Mana should bring like this Steady Hand at Q and I also think Ruckers is going to run the ball a lot Kyle mananga is probably one of the more underappreciated backs in all college football if you haven't watched him run do yourself a favor and watch him run this man is a treat to watch he's a beast of a running back I wouldn't be surprised if ruer surprised a couple people this year I think Ruckers is a good team and I think in the Big 10 there are really there's four teams at the top and then there's everyone else right I mean there's there's an argument for Iowa being like in a middle tier right but I think the everyone else Ruckers is a team that I think could surprise a couple people in the everybody else category again it's ruers normally the name is synonymous with not being super great um but I think Greg shano somewhat turned that around I think Ruckers has a chance to be pretty good this year again I know for a lot of these FCS FBS games I'm going to be focusing more on the FBS teams and less on the game analysis my bad I guess um but I just get really excited to talk about what I think these teams can be capable uh capable of doing this year and why I'm excited to watch each single one of them and there's just less game analysis to go on uh I think Ruckers is a solid team I don't know that much about Howard is the thing is like I don't know that much about FCS teams um but I do know a lot about Ruckers I watched a good amount of Ruckers football last year I think Ruckers has a really good squad built together this year I think they have the ability to win and win by a lot give me but the thing is 34 A2 is a lot uh I don't see recorders putting up that many points give me recers to win and win by a lot but not quite 342 [Music] [Applause] [Music]
