Joey Essex 'tried to date Selling Sunset star' before Love Island but 'she wasn't interested'

will we be chatting away I take that back Joey I did not say that I I I did not say that I did not know Joey was here today I thought I was going to be going to Los Angeles congratulations first of all on sing I said incredible how's this last season been filled with drama right yeah yeah it's been tough yeah way I think for both of us it was kind of I mean for obvious reasons both of us but I think that um I think you and I we get more and more vulnerable every single season like you lost a big part of your life yeah you know and we all mourn that together I lost a big part of my life and we all mourn that together and I think overall as a cast we all go through incredibly vulnerable things that are relatable time and time and time again so you ask me how it is a season it gets harder yeah it should people be like it should get easier and we don't know what what's going to happen because they really do follow along with with what we're doing and and you can't anticipate things like this happening and we're like Yay everyone's finally getting along and oh my god do you find I've get so excited do you find it then like awkward when you then see those people in real life and go oh my God you said that behind my back right should I go now should I leave now oh I'm sorry I'm sorry I go now with all of you at times isn't it um look look it takes incredible maturity to be able to recognize that we're professionals first before we are you know anything else and I think no matter where we are we turn up as a united front despite our differences um and everything else ends up getting resolved We're Not Season 9 you know it might be a little awkward like at the time but it it eventually will work itself out big question i' got to ask obviously we absolutely love Essex over here love Island all that kind of thing we've seen him on the show how was that is there any like behind the scenes gossip him and Emma were having a bit of a FLIR you were there what can you tell me you got you got like you can no I mean Joe Essex he's he's so funny he's a little bit cocky um and he thinks he can get all the birds but he couldn't get the one bird he wanted Emma oh no so she was like absolutely not absolutely absolutely not no I had her coms to hopefully help him purchase house like as an incentive but as soon as the listing was done I was like you're not going to date with him so you're going to see him here tonight will we be chatting away I take that back Joey I did not say that I I I did not say that I did not know Joey was here today I thought I was going to be going to Los Angeles I know him I know Joey um through his cousin Chloe Sims who I'm really good friends with that's how I met Joy yeah of course amazing has Jason found love yet do we know anything about that no no he his love is zeld our little baby Chihuahua so oh guys I love it and how's the reception been to the new series have you had like how do you deal with the negativity because there is often some it's all all mainly positive I get negativity every season but um honestly I say this all the time if you if if you get excited for positive comments if for example if positive comments give you life you'll die by negative comments you know so I very much keep it even killed I appreciate people watching but I also appreciate that people only have a very small portion of the story and that's how I leave it and I really like to be honest and respectful and kind to people when they don't like me like I appreciate your sentiments and you know what from what you've seen you may be right however if you knew me you it would paint a completely different picture and what about you obviously I've spoken to about this before but any negative comments how do you kind of deal with that you know being so much in the public eye now um you know I I don't get I don't think as many um negative comments only because and not because I'm any different because I just don't cause as much like kind of drama because I kind of stand back and I'm like I don't have I don't know I don't whatever um but I mean it still happens and and I am very sensitive and so it hurts my feelings and and I try to at least on social media I have my assistant kind of um filter things but sometimes things can't be filtered and I and I still see stuff and so you know I mean I know who I am and and and people change their minds and and some one day they love you some days they hate you and that's just what it is well I love you and we all love you have we got lots of selling season sunsets to come I I think we're going to have a another season coming good good that's what we want um f give the fans what they want right and I think there's another one I think there's some cast members that are like not sure really can you name names or not that's fine not sure I'll be honest I don't know if I I mean I please come back we love you we honestly love you I'm not it's not even so much about the show I love the show so much but like guys like it's so hard it's hard it's really hard so sometimes you're like I'm so proud of how far we've come but sometimes it's like we've come this far now it's time
