POST-MATCH REACTION: Netherlands 5-2 Bosnia & Herzegovina

the game if you weren't watching this stream live drop your comment down below um as for your thoughts on the game I thought it was really good thought quite quite enjoyed that there were bits to the game of course would improve you know won 52 considered two goals but um yeah really enjoyed it I didn't I didn't see too many problems especially going forwards um many individual performances to pick out amongst all that um Abdul what are your first initial thoughts well first first of all uh unfortun fortunately we could have had this lineup in in Euro only a couple of months ago uh pity Kuma did not do that you know because we saw how strong the the offense is how how Dynamic the Midfield and the the attackers are we somehow forget forgot about Frankie dong you know that the Midfield was just amazing reinders renberg I'm I'm not sure even which one of them is man of the match they both were amazing really tonight uh the the entire team was great the only problem unfortunately was D I have never seen him playing like this before he made very amateur mistakes um the the weakness of of of the defense uh made the team kind of shaky you know some some parts of the match but I'm glad we scored the fourth and then we we just took over and uh control the entire match one problem was uh toying Bosnia some parts of the match you know uh when when it was a 3-1 we should have really focused more and scored the fourth and the fifth maybe because they kept coming back uh because of the mistakes we did in the defense but in general it's a good win we have to look forward now to meet Germany who defeated really Hungary 5 nil so that shows you the match is going to be really tough for us yeah more the joury game of course tomorrow when we do a match preview for it um you wanted one we'll give one but let's just talk about this game then now and I lik some of um those individual performances this evening I said it already ryes though was for me that man of the match class and I I I can't remember what I said down the preview but I really wanted him a team but I preferred him as that kind of number eight but I also wanted to see Ken bth play as well so you only have to put Ryan is in the 10 and um I was a bit reluctant with that and I think the first 10 minutes I think kind of proved that as well why why I thought that but then the rest of the game outstanding best player in the pitch um I want him there again definitely against Germany I think him as a 10 there that that works um and tonight he just had a smile in his face the whole time it's just enjoying himself yes and that's massive in football yeah re really pleased for him so I suppose that kind of defeats the chabby Simmons in mat 10 argument for now doesn't it because rers was was brilliant talk us about him the the second goal was amazing the way he just cuts you know uh into the defense some guy here saying Abdul was not starting reinders and reers my shame on you Abdul well how would I know I mean he was H how would I know I was just judging by the by the performance I saw in the Euros you know uh tonight I I saw him playing more freely attacking the way he wants I think this is how Reyers should be playing with Oran you know you just give him the space to to attack to create chances I mean the chance he created the goal he scored was just amazing uh he definitely deserves ma man of the match I was confused between him and harenberg who also played a very very amazing match actually yeah let's talk about Haven bth next um people in the comments are bringing in their thoughts on tonight's performance we keep them coming in we will bring some on screen in a minute shall we say uh Hur yeah it was like um when when he used to play for Ajax and it was just this Dynamic midfielder that could spin a player um that could that could pull out into nice spaces nice passes nice um build nice attacks and that that was a return to that tonight I've not seen him play that in a while but then I've not really watched too much of him at Club level but I know he had disappointed at times and this is him back to his best I'm great it's great that he's got back into it all so quickly that kum's given him the chance but that just shows you how well he's been doing um does he now play again against Germany given him what you see well uh harenberg got the the trust from um slot in Liverpool and he proved himself very quickly in three matches he played even in the in the friendlies as a starters as as a starter and kumman watched the match between Liverpool and man united he saw how uh kenberg was playing I think that's why he depended on him as a starter tonight I think yes he will be starter against Germany he's if he's not the man of the match he's the second man of the match so he really has to start against Germany I think the Midfield should be the the same you know I don't think there should be any any changes some people might doubt scouten but I also think he did a good match actually yeah he was okay but I've also seen him play a lot better and he will play better in those games where we have lesser possession and if that makes sense when we he was just playing simple passes tonight and when he was getting um uh in more more how do I say it towards the center of the pitch and there was a few jewels and that the Bosnia players kind of surrounded him and he he was off the ball occasionally but anyway we had loads of possession tonight plenty of shots chances we didn't miss Memphis at all and the Midfield was pretty good and uh there were some players that I think could have been better I mean just saying it already I think Deli I I think it was at fault for both of the goals especially the second one but both times you turned around and blame people as well um yeah I found that difficult to watch yeah well um as you said Memphis wasn't missed because in the Euros he he you know we thought he was like a liability really many fans did not want him to play um I I do respect everything he's done for Oria he he's like the second top scorer for Oria but recently unfortunately he's really not doing that great and we were hoping that you know Kuman will try some new names I'm glad that xery played tonight I'm I was so happy that he's the one who got to score the first goal the opener it was a very smart goal actually I was glad he scored and I don't think I think we should depend on on the trio you know gakpo xery Simmons I'm not really sure some people might say you know we could have done better with the frong or maybe Malin uh but he scored a goal he was uh he was fighting the entire match uh we should give him a chance in my opinion I actually thought Simmons was very good I think him coming on coming in off the right we didn't see enough of freeze coming down that Wing but that was okay I mean Simmons had had so much technical ability um and showed it tonight linking up the play which is why we kept scoring goals some beautiful goals cutting through the team because we had Simmons as well as Reyers hacko Haven xer can all Link at the play um is at points it looked as though they had played together for a long time and they obviously haven't so oh yeah I didn't mind Simmons to got the goal finally again and had an you know the first one came because of him actually yeah yeah so I didn't I I think he had a good game I don't think it was brilliant but I think it was good Reyers was brilliant oh yes definitely let's put up some comments um want to be to bring every single one on screen plenty of coming in but keep bringing them in and we we'll do what we can so um someone here actually talking about Simmons here why did he get to play the whole game besides a goal against England he didn't do much in the Euros but I feel like I think this comment came way before we were live and he did in the end I think had a good game so perhaps they could have reflected that comment thinking maybe he played okay now yeah um let's have a look at this one B scar says I enjoyed that z a reers combination they look creative yeah Z say then um he's known as that kind of combination Striker he's not an out and that nine I love that goal at he score which Ed the back of his head knocking in off the post yeah was very smart actually yeah it's like a typical Striker to to do that and at at times that he did look like that Striker we didn't really have and um he didn't want to like Memphis he didn't unlike Memphis sorry he didn't want to have the ball and just try and take a shot all the time he was always trying to find the right pass be in the right place right position it meant that there was not no one in the Box occasionally but with so many Runners and other players that can do that job and score goals didn't need to have Zer stay in the Box yes as well as that uh there have a couple of other chances he could have scored but I think that was fine and he impressed me and I I will that was a performance I was most surprised about I didn't expect him to be quite so good um maybe because I haven't watched him enough at Club level to to Really gain that impression I watched too much AR and not enough the other league so I don't know too much back X but from what I saw he looks a far better option than Memphis and um I don't know I mean I still love brbie but brbie has games where he doesn't look confident and um for example missing the two penalties in the Ajax game recently that was another bad sign for Robie in the long run like how good actually is he because he has lots of great facets to his game but also has his games where he lacks quality and confidence xer however looked calm composed and the only could better maybe was scoring other chance he had where put it the side netting yeah uh xerx he plays in a quiet way um you can see that he's very confident he he doesn't get nervous uh I was really happy with his movements you know I some people might say he scored only one goal but look how he moved the entire match sometimes you know attackers don't only have to score they have also to get some Spa to give some spaces for the attackers or for the midfielder to score I think this is what he did really um it's just you know I was kind of worried that maybe gakpo xery Simmons never played together but um it worked very well actually and uh for brby being as a sub of course I would prefer xery now but it's good to have bro broy as a sub I really hope he just gets over the the bad time he's having with Ajax you know yeah I think he will do he needs Fitness too Rob said Reyers his best match for so far could have had a hattrick I think so yeah he did he did have a couple of games I can't remember who against but before the Euros that I was really um impressed by him but yeah probably was his best wasn't it um this one was uh sorry he scored the goal he hit the post and he made an assist so it's kind of perfect for him yeah yeah very good and then a more negative comment here Marlon why hder again um were there some performers out there tonight Abel that you weren't impressed with I'm surprised Van Dyk sorry van Deli isn't mentioned here given his mistakes yeah uh D was definitely the flaw of orania tonight he's a great player of course he's given so much but uh tonight um maybe he wasn't focused sometimes you know just a very good player could have a bad day so maybe it's his bad day I'm not really sure but um I don't think kir trowa was bad when he came in actually he caused some threat when he came in he wasn't bad I don't think van djk was bad neither he actually saved the saved us some some parts of the match especially when it was 3-2 you know but you cannot really do your best when you're when you're when you're when your second Defender kind of making mistakes you know uh they lack understanding well I'm not really sure because I've seen them playing before together and they did not really perform like this so I kind of disagree with that Mr Dawson some other opinions here with Co miners D young via and others still coming in we've got plenty choices in Midfield unlike the Euros yes correct oh yes yes definitely we and of course a Quinton Timber as well and how about on the Winger options John's asking here yeah there are there no decent Winger options other than gakpo um Somerville um yeah maybe sumerville but I obviously he's not really in kum's plans yet you know maybe he will pick him later on I don't really know but sumerville is always an option yes indeed I think we're g stick with h and C yeah yeah yeah yeah another here said that van dijk's in that opposition frequently agree I wouldn't I don't think he made mistakes tonight van djk was actually good uh but you know the com the combination both Defenders they have to work together if one of them doesn't work well he might make you look weak you know so I don't think van dijk did anything wrong tonight it was all unfortunately Del I really hope he gets over it for the next match and Sone says overall great performance delit will bounce back and hopefully have a better performance against Germany if he plays of course yeah another one here saying about rers and xer again having a brilliant connection definitely um another response to you abdor again you should know from now on just know that two Johny rers is the best in field yes somehow he made us forget completely about Frankie Dion gly the way he played tonight yeah uh we're finally seeing some of the potential a new Hur has love seeing it oh yes yeah yes good he's got his head screwed on um maybe maybe we should thank slot for that he he kind of rediscovered uh kenberg and a couple of comments suggesting about van dijk sitting out a game or two now and see where the next Defender could come from with Kuman talking about age of players and's 33 he not old but he's moved on a couple of players that are a similar age from this squad I mean van djk doesn't come under this umbrella does he well van djk is the only player now who is above 30 in Oria and this team that played tonight he's the oldest player in the team the rest are all under 30 some of them are even in the early 20s so maybe we do need one experienced player in the team you know uh the team needs a leader and I cannot really see from this squad any player who could play the role of a leader in the team so maybe we do need van djk for now he hasn't made any mistakes I don't know why some uh people attacking him really okay let's talk about dun friezen as well this com here from Harold I have no clue as to why F pong doesn't play but Dum frie has got the the P fat he's now playing based on the past that's partly true possibly uh uh okay first of all uh I tweeted this you know I I was surprised that F frong did not come in I was hoping to see him as a Winger I think he would have uh left much more uh influence than Malin who was op um no not not as a right back as a right back I would go for Timber definitely and I was hoping that yeah I was hoping that Timber would be a starter but Kuman insisted on dumre who could be the second worst player after de tonight actually he wasn't that great he made many many flaws um he's not consistent this is the problem with the Dum freeze and I think it's the third comment we' had from a different John attacking movement around the pitch was excellent attackers work together as changed position very fluidly let great OPP well said yeah that was the best thing about tonight um movement fluidity yeah some nice yes yes I'm scoring five goals and pretty much missed three other serious chances this is more than what we can ask for you know it's great seeing some familiar names of course in the comments here's another one both goals allowed totally avoidable Midfield is tighten up quickly on the first goal I want to talk about a first goal yeah and the second goal better communication from the brooken needs to assist Del that yeah Del quickly blame ver Brook for the second goal but I I don't know like ver brooken shouldn't be coming out for that cross the first goal I want to talk about that how did they get that opportunity because there was a a pass played forward into um how do I say between the lines to Midfield defense and there was no one around that Bosnian player he then played the ball through and the striker scored so where was a problem there was the problem with the ball getting received in that attacking area or was it the striker not being dealt with well enough in my opinion and you might disagree with with you might disagree with me I think the players were overconfident after they scored the first goal they thought the party is coming you know and they will score more and more of course because Bosnia did not do anything before the goal they were just defending so we all thought we will score second and third but then they just you know uh got their chance out of nowhere and they brought us back to reality again and when we scored the second goal and the third goal we thought also the match was over but they brought us to reality Again by this so I think the first goal was the entire team responsibility not only Del you know the players were kind of relaxed that they the match is already done although it was only one nil the first half and this is the problem maybe when you don't have so much experienced players in the team but of course uh what can I say we we do need young players but maybe that's why I was asking for some a player like de like van dijk to be there to hopefully you know fix these mistakes um I don't know what to say what do you think about that goal Michael I don't know really I thought that the Midfield was just nowhere near that attacking player and I'm wondering why why that was um was it that he I I don't know where he came from initially but if he's coming from the wing why hasn't someone sort of taking him on or the fullback come in but anyway he's in that attacking space essentially and he's got all of his space before he plays that pass and then from there I don't think theit was tight enough I think it possibly was his man or van djk I mean not neither were and then they get the goal so it was just too too easy it was too simple but we didn't see too much of that tonight I think though when we got back to 3-2 there were a couple of nervous moments and I think it was a similar again they kept getting the ball in those areas and BOS play well getting that ball forward but it also felt a bit too easy again and had they had a a sharp touch or two in the Box it would have been 33 what are your thoughts on that well uh obviously when they scored the second and they realized that we are making many mistakes in the defense they started attacking you know that's how it is in football when the weaker opponent gets confidence they will just attack and they attacked us and the the the moment they attacked us the team was kind of shaky and that's when we they got maybe two chances one of them was really serious you know and this is what you really need to be to be uh to be careful of for for the next match against Germany they will not really allow us to make these kinds of mistakes so uh yeah um but then we started to attack again we realized that the result can be in danger when we attacked again we scored two goals so quickly we could have even scored more and this is the problem this was the problem of the match the overconfidence I think uh maybe we hopefully we will not fall in these mistakes again against Hungary maybe because Hungary is the you know the lower opponent we need to finish the match uh by at least three goal difference when we if we want to play in a relaxing way not by one or two goals okay my side in DOS did say like And subscribe guys doing my job for us here but yeah so make likes would be great thanks and um do subscribe if you are here delit should not start against Germany very clums position f g him plenty of thoughts on delit now um don't want to mudsling at him but maybe a different Defender next time will be good it was good at first seeing him back in the fold because you know when he first broke through we're a bit worried because he was like too young and then he became brilliant with Ajax and then he was like Undisputed let's just get him into the neverland side and um yeah his moves abroad just haven't worked out yet have they I hope it I hope it works man united but it never seems to players and now we've got a few players that you know have Dutch links over there um man united so yeah fish cross for him um he he played he played in the highest level even with Ajax you know we should give him a break I mean I I'm sure Kuman is gonna talk to him for the next match will he be subed will he be on the bench I really don't know but we do have some good Defenders also you know we do we have brilliant Defenders I just don't think he's played enough um loads of comments thank you so much everyone for the these just bring in a few different people um AJ Nick said that sum of Chavis Simon's critics is in necessary okay fair enough um Nicholas says concern that low ranked opponents can so easily find space in our Center halves yes yes both them a little bit slow actually now I think about it and anybody else other people seem to have comments in so far I'm having a little reading them and yeah more more talk about the Defenders here uh talking about criticism of Van djk being ridiculous for example um the team defending can be much improved uh the decision making for here tralo has been brought up here um AK making mistake on the first goal being too far at the pitch that maybe van Deen will be brought into the side soon anyway and he's been playing very well um switching off there so yeah more of the same kind of thing really talking about it well the thing is not yeah sorry the the thing is not the quality of the players we have we all know that is a world class Defender you know as same as van djk Nathan a d freeze they all play in the highest level it's the way they defend this is the problem and I really think we need to work on that hopefully we will for the next match yeah we're going to be back on tomorrow for match preview so we'll just spend another minute then um before we go um M's back Alia looked amazing by our defensive moments I think that just sums up that that the whole performance tonight you know we looked amazing but there were some moments in defense that weren't great so Kum knows what to work on and there have been times where we didn't have enough going forward so that is positive and of course doing it the 4-33 um
