what a well-deserved Victory the US Paro Olympic Dr team had done it they won gold at the Paris 2024 par Olympic Games their final combined score of 235.50 s is the highest par Olympic team score ever recorded in the per equestrian discipline making it a historic victory for the first time ever the US team stood on the top step of the podium they had won a bronze medal in Tokyo in 2020 but this was their first time winning gold in the par Olympic D these athletes had overcome such incredible challenges to reach this Pinnacle their Journey was paved with dedication resilience and an unwavering belief in themselves the world watched in awe as the team celebrated their Joy was infectious these athletes have shown the world that anything is possible with hard work and determination this was their [Music] moment the road to gold was not easy each member of the US par Olympic D team had their own unique challenges they faced physical limitations that made everyday tasks more challenging than normal but they knew what they had to do to win in 2024 this was a completion of a long Ed well-planned dream going back to Tryon 2018 where they started to actually make changes in Tokyo when they won the bronze medal the team had a clear plan and strategy in place and in mind to earn that team medal in the Paris paralympic 2024 it took three years of very hard work planning Logistics competition strategies both for Europe and in the US the horsepower the coaches and the whole program had to be revamped to get to this point their journey is a testament to the power of determination hard work and strategic planning their story is an inspiration to us all let's meet the team Rebecca Hart is a veteran of the Paro Olympic Games she has been riding since she was a child despite being born with a rare genetic disorder her horse fitina is her partner her Confidant and her friend together Rebecca and Florina have overcome tremendous challenges they have learned to adapt and to trust each other completely their bond is unbreakable in Paris Rebecca and fitina rode with Grace and precision they delivered a Flawless performance showcasing their incredible partnership their final score of 77.9% helped secure the gold medal for the team Fiona and Diamond Dunes dancing to Victory Fiona Howard discovered her passion for Dr after a spinal cord injury left her paralyzed she found solace and strength in riding and her horse Diamond Dunes became her Rock Fiona and Diamond Dunes move together as one their performances are a testament to their deep connection Fiona's smile lights up the arena as she guides Diamond dunes through intricate movements their performance in Paris was nothing short of magical they danced their way to to a personal best score of 80% helping the team secure the gold medal roxan and Fantastico h a new partnership a shared dream roxan trunnel is the newest member of the US par Olympic Dr team she began riding as a way to cope with the challenges of being legally blind her horse fantastic o is her partner in crime her best friend and her teammate roxan and fantastic o are a relatively new partnership but their B bond is already incredibly strong they trust each other implicitly and are constantly learning and growing together in Paris roxan and fontastic O faced stiff competition but they Rose to the occasion delivering a stunning performance that showcased their incredible potential their score of 77% also helped the team achieve their gold medal dream when asked about the impact of the gold medal and what it could mean for the continued success of the US paradress program Hart said what I'm really really hoping that this success and these medals bring for Pera is the recognition and the equality of the multiple disciplines within our federations and realization that we are valuable and we can deliver when we need to I think that will help just grow the sport bringing in more sponsors more horses and more people that is what I'm hoping for looking towards the future we wish all these athletes of the Paris paralympic 2024 continued success on their journey and thank them for being an inspiration to us all if you found any value in this video please like share and subscribe and remember to be kind to each other
