Houston Astros Activate Ben Gamel My Thoughts!!

yo what's going on guys it's Houston Sports Talk Back another the video today and today the Houston Astros will be activating Ben gaml outfielder um Ben gaml who was just claimed by the Astros two days ago is now being activated by the Astros activated to the major league roster and he will be in the lineup tonight for the houon Astros in game one in this series against the Baltimore Oriols he'll be starting in right field playing his first game as a Houston Astro and honestly um I I like Chas McCormack I like Trey cabbage um I'm that's not me saying I want those guys in the lineup I just you know they they're good guys both of them are and even though both guys have struggled this year there have been times when they've helped the team out and they've done good things look Chas cormack had a game earli this year we had a two two home run game and you know had a monster it was like a three hit game too I think he had a double with his two home runs Trey cabbage has had good at bats for the Astros but I I'd rather a guy like Ben gaml who is has proved himself elsewhere in his major league career get a chance to potentially be a guy who could produce in this lineup than consistently putting guys like CH McCormack or Trey cabbage in right field um you know and they're just completely playing terrible uh right now look at right field Kyle Tucker would be in right field if if if you know if he was healthy and um obviously I don't think Ben gamble is going to be a pernament starter hoping hoping Kyle Tucker comes back soon that's that's the expectation I would say tucker probably comes back in the next couple weeks uh I wouldn't mind seeing Ben gaml Start in the next couple weeks if he does well over chass McCormick and Trey cabage now look if gamble starts to not do so good I I wouldn't mind seeing the Astros put back chass McCormack in the lineup and use him more often um if Ben Gamble's not really doing anything to be honest um now so we'll see we'll see how he does um but I mean he's he's this year he's played 18 games he's five for 23 with a double and um also has one stolen base he has the same amount of walks and strikeouts that's a good thing that's not something chass McCormack can do seven walks and seven strikeouts his batting average is 217 and his Ops is 6 661 so yes those are better numbers than Tre at Trey cabbage or chass McCormack but that's not a lot of playing time like look at guys like chass and Trey cabbage they've played a lot they've had a lot of about bats they played way more than 18 games so that's what he did in 18 games with the New York Mets we'll see if he can do you know if you can do similar stuff with the gastos if so if he can look if he can do if he can put up those numbers if not a little bit better he'll definitely get you know playing time over chass mccor could Trey cabbage then in 2023 he only played six games with the Padres and went three for 15 in 2022 he played 115 games he went 86 for 371 with nine home runs 46 rpis batting average was 232 and his Ops was 693 2021 with the Guardians and the Pirates 122 games he went 84 for 340 with 18 doubles three triples eight home runs 26 RBI which resulted in a batting average of 247 and Ops is 735 uh he had a good year in 2020 with the Brewers having a batting average of 237 and a Ops of 78 and that was with 40 walks and ended up having seven home runs and 33 RBI and he had some really good Seasons with the Seattle Mariners the est's Rival 2018 with the Mariners 108 108 games with them or 101 games with the Mariners went 70 for 257 with 14 doubles yeah had 19 RBI with a batting average of 272 for the Mariners with a batting average of 272 you also had Ops is 730 in 2017 with the Mariners 134 games 9 at bats 140 hits 27 doubles five triples 11 home runs 59 RBI batting average is 275 Ops was 735 which is the best season of his major league career he's been in the and he's been in the league since 2015 2016 so let me know your thoughts on the Astros activating Ben gamble to the active roster in the comment section and peace out go Astros
