were you offered the role as Bachelorette the answer is yes yeah I was offered the role I mean um it was mine until I said it wasn't and yeah it became very overwhelming to the point where I had to decline Maria Georgia setting the record and Roses straight on call her daddy call her Daddy has kind of open the floodgates where people it's like if you're real with it people are going to love you so I think that's been really fun everyone has a good response when they come on call her daddy you were about to come on the show and we were going to announce you as The Bachelorette what like a month ago yep and that I remember I was going to have you on on like a Monday and on like Sunday I get the call like Maria went back to Toronto when everyone around me was so supportive of me being in this position and everyone wanted this for me I kind of took a second I'm like why am I not happy why am I not excited about this and it took me like realizing that it's just not my time where I was like guys I respectfully I need to decline despite being the fan favorite the former Bachelor contestant reveals just how close she was to being The Bachelorette how far along were you in the process of like becoming The Bachelorette until you pulled out yeah well I to the point where I was doing fittings like it was set in stone I was so anxious throughout the whole thing um and I get it it would have been my own show it would have been me kind of having like more control over things but again like it's so isolating in being in there and I would have have to give up my phone again my freed like not my freedom but you know like having to be alone in that and I don't I just wasn't I wasn't comfortable I wasn't just mentally prepared for it Maria was a front runner on the past season of the dating show buying for the heart of Joey gra so nice to meet you nice to oh c i yes of course Kate remember that I got it can't I'm not even touching right now that was awesome I need to find my person and while Maria isn't looking to find her person just yet her castmate Jen Tran is gearing up to be ABC's next Leading Lady ET was with Jen at The Bachelor Mansion talking all about her strategy to finding love when The Bachelorette premieres in July I am so freaking ready I've literally just been waiting for this moment since I found out what are you looking for in a partner what I'm looking for in a partner so number one is like cheeky banter like if your sense of humor is my sense of humor that is all that I really want because I've always said this at the end of the day you know lust is going to fade and all this other like newness and whatever is going to fade and if you have the same same sense of humor and you still have that friendship at the end like that's what's going to make a lasting relationship she is the most perfect Bachelorette in my eyes if like I couldn't think of anyone better to do this and um she was so ready for it and that was enough for me to kind of say yeah this is it's not my time [Music]
