now one of the coolest things to do here in Los Angeles is come to Universal Studios Hollywood most people think that this place is a theme park but in reality it's actually a working Movie Studio and today I'm here in celebration of Twisters they're going to put me on a virtual sound stage in a scene from the movie I'm going to play Glen Powell cuz you know obviously we look the same and I'm even going to get to interview one of the Stars let's do it all right so you guys looked like you were having a blast making the film how did it Translate was what I seen was what I saw what happens oh yeah I mean I guess having a cast that actually gets along and we all loved each other and we all got along as friends and shooting somewhere like Oklahoma was great because you know it's a small City small town feel so you could just all run into each other and so we all got to bond really fast so we brought that to set that energy and yeah every scene we just get to run around scream and Chase tornadoes it's the best time ever yeah did did you learn any fun facts about tornadoes uh yeah I learned a ton we got kind of put through like tornado military school okay it was awesome though we got to learn from uh some great meteorologists and yeah it's just crazy how much they know but also how much they don't know as well because tornadoes are so unknown still yeah and I'm just very grateful for meteorologists because they commit their lives to trying to figure these things out so so are you less scared of tornadoes now are you more scared like like how would you categorize it I think less scared okay in a sense but also knowing the dangers of it so it's like I don't know there's a balance I I've been saying this like this whole run is like Controlled Chaos is kind of like the ordeal with a tornado where it's like if you want to go chase or whatever you need to be with a professional it's not like oh I want to go see a tornado let me go it's like no it's way too unpredictable yeah and you need and it's unpredictable for the professionals so yeah uh kind of coming into like a well established franchise now I guess now that there's two of them um did you go back and rewatch the original first like what was your process in coming into this so originally I watched the movie when I was younger and then it was one of the first movies that really scared me as a kid because just seeing this big funnel cloud getting like this close to a human was just it made me think as a kid like what would I do in that situation because that is I don't know otherworldly type of deal yeah and um so that left an impact on Me growing up where I was like man twister was kind of scary and then this came along and I rewatched it and I was just like wow this movie still holds up after what almost 30 years and uh yeah it is uh it's great to rewatch it's the best homework you know so okay now I'm going to consider you the tornado expert please don't what should one do if God forbid there get get there's a tornado what are you supposed to do uh take cover like you got to get underground you got to get Underground and so so many people have tornado shelters in the midwest where you could lift up the thing and just go underground so take cover uh uh let's say like a airport they have those big hallways into the bathroom you have your tornado tunnel hid in there and cover your necks cover cover your necks oh so you don't get cut yeah so if something Falls you don't get cut cuz that's where you will bleed the most okay but yeah don't sit around and wait to try to watch it okay that's fair run away that's fair go high um now today I'm going to be put on a virtual set reenacting a scene I'm no actor by the way greatest actor yeah and this is not Marlon Brando of um but but take me through when you're in the scenes in the truck and I'm going to re what was that like with with Glenn like are you guys laughing out of takes like how I mean because it looks pretty damn serious on screen oh yeah yeah I mean we're throwing things at the wall like Glenn is one of the best actors I've ever worked with and he's so collaborative so um even previous to meeting him like he got my number and was just like hey man I wanted to check in and just like talk to you I really want to nail this thing so and this was like a few weeks out from shooting and I was like oh wow Glenn pal hit me up that's pretty good that's pretty cool I was like is this really you um but yeah no he was so collaborative and all the actors were so collaborative uh where we were willing to throw ourselves at the wall every take you know and see what work see what sticks and just make a bunch of different little jokes and things and see what lands but yeah we had a blast like we just really fully committed and hyped each other up and I think it shows on screen I'm curious because you know being an actor now coming up in this business what are you what do you make of it and also how do you keep a level head because I feel like there's a lot of things getting thrown at people when there's Fame and there's money involved how do you kind of just like stay and keep real yeah yeah you're so one I mean uh yo man God's my guide man I move with love baby all day I love what I do I really do like it's so fun um it's a privilege to be able to be in the position that I'm in right now uh you know being uh this is my second Universal movie and that's crazy every time we're on the lot I feel the magic every time I drive on so it never gets old and I pray that it'll never get old I really just enjoy this I get to be a kid for life you know and um yeah so all the other whatever stuff if anything the more you see of it the more you want to hide I guess okay I love being characters you know so like boom doesn't look like me angel nope doesn't look like me and I like maintaining some sort of Mystique okay I like to hide behind characters cuz I don't even know who the heck I am you know I'm still figuring that out same I like to play other people you know yeah oh please please please please please there she is see that that's a tornado right there baby oh yeah Nature's Twisted little we got twins twins get pumped you ready to rock floor Ito W let's get these flares off this thing's ass yes sir we oh say you anger deploy tornado hell yeah let's do this
