COULD SOUTH CAROLINA LOSE TO OLD DOMINION? FINAL THOUGHTS AND OFFICIAL SCORE PREDICTION!

what up gang car on jackpot time coming at you on Friday afternoon it is 25 hours away from kickoff of the South K gcks 2024 season we take on Old Dominion tomorrow Williams Bry Stadium about 4:15 p.m. uh game is going to be on the SEC network and kudos to those of you who are going down there to that game Braven the elements and it's a sellout and it's going to be about 91 92° at kickoff tomorrow and probably not going to dip below 85 before the game is over with so it's going to be it's going to be a rough one to watch I can only imagine how rough it would be to be playing in that thing tomorrow you know and I'm going to attempt to answer the question that I have up there in the thumbnail in the title of this video could the Gamecocks lose this game tomorrow to Old Dominion I'm give you my thoughts on them as well but before I get into all that if you're new around here stay true around here thumbs up on this video if you enjoy what you see today it really helps me out if if they like them they'll turn around and subscribe that's not a bad thing that's a good thing so hit the thumbs up on this video guys Old Dominion uh coming off of a six and seven season they were six and six in the regular season in a game in which they had a few games there that they lost by just a few points so they were pretty close to being a 910 win team uh they lost the famous coaster re Bowl in Charlotte to the Western Kentucky Hill Toppers they let Western Kentucky come back the second half they actually were leading that game pretty big at halftime I'm going to link down the description box below some highlights from that bowl game you may want to watch it you may not but it kind of shows you what Old Dominion looks like their formations and some of the plays that they may run or attempt to run none of this is going to change a whole lot cuz they haven't changed uh coaching Personnel wise now they have had a lot of turnover in terms of the players and we'll talk about that in a second too but their head coach Ricky Ronnie has been there since 2019 uh it's his name looks like it would be pronounced Ricky rain when you see it but it's actually Ricky Ronnie I don't know if he's any kin or not to this guy but for the purpose of this video we're going to assume that he is side note that stance that Ricky Bobby has in that picture praying m ten I do that a lot before our games you just don't know about it uh this team what what bothers me about this team is they run an offense that's very similar to a Tennessee the wide splits they split the uh wide receivers out wide really kind of open the field up they open some gaps up they like to run the ball a lot too and that's just something with the field spread out like that is something South Trina to have a lot of trouble with last year now 2022 one would think they didn't have any trouble with it then going well we won that game we scored 63 points or whatever no we had a lot of trouble with it them too they put up a ton of yards against us so that concerns me oh dominia doesn't have the Personnel that a Tennessee does though they do have a very athletic quarterback in Grant Wilson and you watch that highlight video down below uh you'll see him break off a really really long run early in that bow game game uh which he just I mean it almost looked Trevor Lawrence like you remember how when Trevor Lawrence took off running it looked like he was just really slow and like his feet were stuck in concrete but then next thing you know you look that he's 50 yards down the field it's cuz he's tall and takes those long strides this guy Grant Wilson is something like that this is his second year in the program uh or third year in the program it will be uh yeah no second year yes second year sorry he's a transfer from forom University uh in New York City uh there's the girls from forom U I can't afford them you if you know you know that's a King of Queens reference anyway um so pretty athletic quarterback there though however they lost a lot of pieces off their defense to the transfer portal um a lot of people uh just decided to get to other places they had a couple that transferred to Michigan State uh head coach Jonathan Smith there so um you know they're going to be rebuilding on that side of the ball now offensive line wise they were not good they give up 60 sacks last year it was the most of anybody uh in FBS uh that unit's been retooled somewhat they have 58 new players on this roster 58 and you thought the Gamecocks had a lot of transfers no the absolutely not this place isn't this Old Dominion is just an absolute Turn Style for players you know any and it's kind of one of those things where you know it's kind of like with Georgia State where sea Elliott got pissed off and decided to leave that job because he's trying try to re recruit in his roster and losing all his good players like the Dork from maou came and got his running back and you know the dirty preacher from Auburn came and got his wide receiver it just it looks like that kind of hit Old Dominion as well a lot of players who may have had a chance to go somewhere else and be a backup out of high school decided to come to Old Dominion developed into a starter really quickly and then these other schools took a look at them again and decid to pluck them off the tree it happens so I think that um you know there's there's going to be some new personel there on the defense I think that's going to give South Carolina the opportunity to score some points I think Lenora Sellers and Rocket Sanders will both have a good day now as far as covering the spread I don't think South Carolina is going to cover this number uh it's 19 and a half right now in a lot of places I have seen it up as high as 21 um in our contest at 17 and A2 it doesn't matter I took Old Dominion and the points here's the thing uh last year we talked about how good the defense was uh you know the last three games of the Season that was true it it was however you still allowed like against Kentucky and Clemson you you still allowed a significant amount of yardage per rush and and those were two games in which they had switched to that 335 then against uh Vanderbilt you bottle them up and you know I don't like to make a lot of excuses for my team and I don't like to make excuses for other teams but there were some weather issues in that game it was nasty it rained a lot you know Vanderbilt was very sloppy with the football that kind of leads into that stuff a little bit so I'm not totally sold on that defense being fixed because Clayton white is still the coordinator now it's another one of those deals where you're going to have to show me you're going to have to show me right uh South Carina under Shane Beamer has proven to not be prepared to play these early season games yeah I I don't care about 2021 when they beat it Eastern Illinois like 49 to nothing or whatever it was I don't care I don't count that that team was barely FCS they were horrible you know you you weren't prepared in 2022 against uh Georgia State the only thing you were prepared with was the punt block team and and we definitely weren't prepared last year against UNC that that was horrible that was an awful performance I mean it literally looked like to me that you had dudes out there especially in terms of the offensive line unit who I mean it's like they it's like they woke up on like August the 21st of last year rolled up out of the bed looked in the mirror and said damn bro I think we got a game next week that's how unpre I know that didn't happen that's how unprepared they looked just just awful so once again that's another one of those things to where I've got to see that you're prepared to believe it otherwise I'm going to take for granted that you're going to be unprepared now you have added a Mike Fury a Shawn Elliot and a Marquel Blackwell I think all three of those guys are more intense coaches at their position than what we had there previously so I can think that can only be a good thing I think South Carolina has more Playmakers in terms of from a wide receiver perspective than they did last year a lot more now and that's absolutely no disrespect to Xavier Legette that guy was an absolute baller I loved what he did at South Carolina he did it right he went out there he worked his ass off I I and I think if South Carolina had made it to a bowl game last year he was going pro it didn't matter that guy would have played in the bowl game I he just loved to play him for South Carolina he was a Gamecock man through and through uh he would not have been the one that would have opted out and I dare say I don't know if Spencer Rattler would have opted out either I really well Spencer Rattler may have opted out because he want probably wanted to get Lenor sers get some time to shine and see what he could do so I think Rattler he may have opted out but not for personal reasons not for selfish reasons for self less reasons to let the noris play but I mean that's neither here nor there I mean it doesn't matter we didn't make a bowl game but that offense our defense the unknowns me not being sure I just think the Old Dominion is going to be able to put some points on the board I at first thought this would be like a 281 2813 type ball game I I'm not sold on that anymore I'm thinking more like like I'm leaning more like this being like a like a 3821 type ball game I really am I I think ODU is going to put some points up there look here's another thing I know that we've added some depth on defense and that's a good thing because you're going to need it tomorrow you you cannot sit out there and expect any of those guys to play 80% of the snaps it's you just can't you've got to rotate some fresh bodies in there I expect to see Dylan Stewart play some tomorrow uh I expect to see a couple other backup defensive ends play tomorrow um and your linebacking core is deeper than what it was I expect to see these guys your secondary looks like you've you figured out who your starters are I'm kind of worried about the depth in that secondary not worried about depth in the running back room definitely not worried about depth in the wide receiver room you've got a ton of players but like there's like maybe one or two of them ni haror and uh what Nick haror lot Dodie and um what's his name taon Russell are about the only ones who were Gamecocks last year oh the tight end Joshua Simon everything else is BR there's another one that hasn't been brought up Joshua Simon and the other tight in Brady hunt I really really want to see what these guys do tomorrow so to summarize all this could South Carolina lose old Dimension tomorrow no no South Carolina's not dropping the game to ODU they don't have the they don't have the depth to compete they don't have the talent to compete um their offensive line is a SIV and it doesn't matter who they've added to it it's not going to be any good um if they even cut their sack number if they reduced their sacks from last year by 30% which would be making Monumental strides they're still GI would have given up a shitload of sacks so you I think South Carolina will dominate them up front especially in the second half but I don't think we cover the spread because I think that we give up a few more points than what we think we're going to give up so those are my thoughts on that game tomorrow I think it's one where Carolina jackpot will probably curse somewhat we'll see a lot of of explosions from me uh in Jubilation of me getting really happy you know right when we score uh cuz I think we're going to do a decent amount of it and you're going to see uh probably I'm probably going to throw something and um I may uh strike one of my animals I'm just kidding I'm not going to do that I'm not going to strike my animals uh but I definitely probably will use some profanity so if you have kids just spoiler alert and or not spoiler alert a um what is it a uh Public Service Announcement I guess you if they're if they're under a certain age and they don't need to be hearing words like that don't have them watching the Carolina jackpot stream when we play Old Dominion tomorrow cuz I think they probably will hear some words like that if you let them listen to it so don't blame me for your kids getting in trouble don't blame me for them going and right and [ __ ] spelled wrong on the wall in the bathroom and then get caught doing it sometime next week and say well well I learned that on Carolina jackpot Channel no that's not my fault that I said it your fault for letting them listen to it so don't let them listen to it if they don't need me now if they high school age your college age obviously College age you're you're barely you're basically growed you can let them watch it it's absolutely fine but anyway the beer will be flowing uh hopefully I'll be very happy at the end of the day and we'll have a lot of fun hopefully Clemson uh gets their face kicked in tomorrow and that's done and over with by the time this game starts but I'm not even sold on that anymore yeah I I really don't know the line on that game has been kind of fluid uh the past day or so I think it's down to 12 right now so looks like uh in addition to Travis etn there's probably some rumors out there there's some other players for Georgia that may be injured or may not be participating in that game uh which sucks cuz look I mean yeah I goof on cson all the time I can't stand them everybody knows how much I hate them but you've got to respect daos Sweeny uh and you've gotten to respect to what he's got there um depth is kind of like the thing yeah early on in the season when you've got a team that doesn't bring they don't bring in transfer portal players so that depth is all Clemson depth I tend to think they might be a little bit better prepared than some teams who have you know a bunch of unknowns from uh Eastern Michigan and you know Cal State ply on their team it just you know it it stands without reason but I don't know um I don't know who else may be injured or not playing but you know we know about the Travis etn thing or Trevor etn thing I keep calling Travis Trevor 10 thing here's my thing too why is a line dropping so why would a line drop that much for a dude that's he's never taking a snap for Georgia he's never suited up for the Georgia Bulldogs before so I mean and I know I you're sitting there well jackpot I mean you know what we saw him play at Florida the SEC school I mean he rush for 700 yards high in that Shield offensive line so you know you at least going to go for 1300 down here but we don't know that we don't absolutely know that so anyway uh hopefully it's nothing to worry about hopefully you know Georgia can't run the ball real well tomorrow you know we can just lean on Carson Beck going over the top spreading the ball around and uh you know instead of beating them by 28 maybe we can at least you beat them by 17 I don't care really as long as they go down and it's in embarrassing fashion and some of their fans get their feelings hurt cuz they absolutely 110% deserve it anyway I will see you guys later on I appreciate you peace and I'm out of here um live stream like I said grass I mean sometimes your grass looks like that right looks like that sometimes your bush looks like that you know or you know if you're of the female persuasion maybe you have a different kind of bush and it don't exactly look like that when it's overgrown but you get what I'm saying it needs to be trimmed up too got to take care of business so anyway live stream tomorrow like what I was getting back to saying there is that um I can't believe some of the dumb [ __ ] I say sometimes oh Lord have mercy my grandma was still alive boy she'd come paddle my ass um I know a lot of people live stream games and you have a a huge choice now of where you can go right it's it's like in the old days if you were going to the store to get hamburger H I know this is lasting forever you know at one time there was nothing but cheeseburger macaroni there was beef pasta on the Shelf you had you had two options right or you had craft mac and cheese in the blue box that that was about it if you if it wasn't that I mean you was heating up a kind of soup or you had to fix something from scratch there were just no options now you've got you got four cheese lasagna you've got cheesy shells and pasta you've got beef strogen off you got potatoes strogen off you got Oriental rice you got some Chicken Helper you got pork helper you got chitlin helper I mean you've got tons and tons times there's one row on the Shelf it's like a 8ft section and each row represents a different kind of hamburger chicken chitlin fish uh or ostrich Helper and and it there's just such a variety same way with the live streams it's no longer just Carolina jackpot Uncle Lou doing live streams and or pigskin Pete doing live streams on Saturdays like it was a few years ago now got a ton of people doing live streams there's a lot of places that you could go I still hope that you'll at least if you're spending time somewhere else if your if your boots are resting under somebody else's bed I hope at
