[Music] hi everyone this is cat coloring welcome back to my channel as you all know I have a Christmas coloring challenge up on my uh channel uh sort of a Christmas calendar where I um color a drawing each day either from Christmas by Johanna bford or from Winter Song a coloring book by the American illustrator Ellie marks um so I have taken the time today though my schedule is really busy to make a review of a new coloring book by Ellie Marx H you know I really think that Ellie marks is a wonderful illustrator I really really like her drawing and I like them because her lines are thinner than other illustrators and it's gives a lot of room to interpret her drawings with colorings but also to make a fur with animals and Feathers with birds so I was very excited last week when I saw that she has just H published a new coloring book now her older coloring book you can books you can buy on Amazon I purchased a winter song that I have from a Danish bookstore which got it from uh the states but her newer coloring books you can buy on Etsy as PDF files and I think that it's a really great idea to do it in PDF files because then you can print on all sorts of paper and you can print the whole coloring book or you can just print one page at a time if you want to um this one is just uh printed on normal printer paper because I was in a quite a hurry and um I couldn't print the front page here at home because I don't have a uh printer which prints in color so I did this at work with the front page so this is a little coloring book and it means that there aren't many pages in this coloring book um and the topic is owls so let's get to it you can see here that we have many different sorts of owls uh in this coloring book you can also see here that some of them are placed in the natural environment on a branch from a tree or in pictures in a more house setting these mice or yeah I think it's mice not rats they have a tiny tail compared to Reds carry this beautiful picture of an owl there are many different drawings of owls from this steampunk owl to this post oh air post air me I especially love this drawing because you can see here there are many options where you can color these ows as I said before I have just printed this on a normal printing paper but I'm going to print it on some thicker paper because these drawings absolutely just stream at Watercolor pencils I think I want to use my derent intense watercolor pencils on these drawings um I've already tried to color an owl before with these Durant inton and I think that they will be a fantastic way to color these Pages this is a somewhat Christmas inspired drawing of the owls you can see here that we have all sorts of candy canes and stockings and Christmas balls coming out of this gramophone and the owls are well can see them dancing to the tun from this gramophone and then you can see here I think that this is also in Winter song I've seen it before it's a very very beautiful portrait of one of the bigger owls and you can see here lots of opportunities to color this with the breath around it with the pine cones and berries uh and the background of course you don't have to use watercolor pencils you could also just use normal coloring pencils but I think that watercolor pencils would be very very nice to these colorings also another Christmas inspired drawing of the owls this one has a little hat on and this one has a Christmas Bowl in its beak and then the last one a very wintry seene an owl in a snow globe and uh I'm also coloring another snow globe from Ellie marks the one in Winter Song with the Snowman uh that's also up on my channel so there are a lot of opportunities here and possibilities to color this with Reflections uh and different sorts of background and that's what I really like about uh Ellie Marx's coloring books I think that they give Endless Possibilities in your drawing whether you use pens or markers gel pens uh watercolor pencils uh just normal coloring pencils all sorts of things so um this was a little review I think this book is absolutely amazing it's fantastic and I cannot wait to color in it so I hope that you will like this video And subscribe to my channel for more videos and reviews like this and I also have a review of the do one inktense up on my channel if you want to know more about these watercolor pencils and you are more than welcome to check out my Christmas coloring Challenge videos where I color some of Ellie Marx's other drawings from Winter song so that's all from today from me today happy coloring [Music] bye
