Will Howard Reveals The REAL Reason He Chose Ohio State! 🏈

to be a buckeye long line of greatness that's come through this place and he's coming from a much different system at Kansas State so you got to be able to be really smart if I would have just been going for the money I'd probably be somewhere else right now can I compete for a national championship there will I be able to turn into a first or second round draft right there he's another one of these guys that have a lot of starts under his belt got to take advantage of this opportunity that's what I've wanted my whole life I'm will Howard qb1 for the Ohio State University and this is no days off will Howard in the gun he it off no play fake touchdown Wilds thing about Kansas state that I love the most was the people especially with my teammates and my friends I struggled first early on had some Growing Pains played as a true freshman true sophomore in like that Co era much as it sucked it taught me so much to win the Big 12 Championship that was one of the coolest experiences of my life I remember running over the sideline and I threw my helmet down and I looked at the ground I knew he was going to make it when I heard it go in we run out on the field I didn't even know how to react I started crying man just like the confetti falling down it was it was it was an unbelievable feeling you know in terms of what I needed and what I wanted Ohio state was the perfect place I got to put myself in a position to be a first round second round draft pick and if I wanted to truly move the needle on it I would have to enter the portal with this new day and age of the transfer portal you got schools throwing crazy amounts of money at you and my goal is to be a starting quarterback in the NFL but Howard feels like a more of a baller like a guy that's just going to go out there and ball in a way that other guys aren't seeing the game that position he came in put his head down went to work there's the physical toll but it's definitely a mental toll it takes on you he's going into his fifth year so kind of has that builtup experience um so it's helped them be able to you know come in and execute really well for me it's reps if there's like a certain throw that you need to work on say keep missing out balls to my left inside you know what do I need to do to work on that I just need to throw them you know I'm going to go out there to grab a receiver and throw 20 balls until I can't get it wrong for the most part I know what I have to do to fix some things physically especially obviously I have a big build I think that's one of my biggest attributes I feel like I have a strong arm I think my deep ball accuracy last year wasn't as good as it could be I think this year is that's something that I'm trying to work on um improving and I feel like right now the way I'm throwing the Deep ball I feel good about how that's going to progress especially with the the horses that we have out at receiver this year it's going to be fun you know just chucking balls up to those guys the talent level's off the charts you know we got receivers out there that are you know stallion like these guys are and can just go make catches like you've never seen and make things look easy like makes my job 10 times easier meca is is a quick guy he's going to get in and out of cuts he's going to break people off but he can also beat you deep oh any route where I get the ball that's a route I like to run if I if they call a play and I know I have a good chance of getting it that's probably my favorite route you ready son everything's bigger here you know there I mean the Stadium's bigger um the buildings are bigger there's more there's more of everything you walk through the Woody I mean the amount of trophies accolades I mean great players all Americans it's surreal and you know the people that I've been able to meet you know the ex players like Chris Carter and and Joey Galloway and all the guys that come through and Coach Meyer and all these legends that have come through here it's like you know to be able to be a part of something like this um with the amount of tradition and the Excellence the people I don't take it lightly um you know wearing the scarlet and gray is truly like a privilege stepping into this position that I'm in you know I knew what I was signing up for obviously everything is super super heightened and everyone here is expecting a national championship and that's what we're expecting for ourselves we have three goals as a team first is beat the team up north second is a big 10 championship and third is a national championship we know what's on the line you know we know what's at stake we know that we have to win them all and we have to beat the team up north if we want it to be considered a successful season the reality of the situation is last year team was 11 and two won all of them but one they just lost the wrong one it's time to be done with that and win them all and and make it happen this year
