hey y'all I am so sorry I'm so late I had um I was running late and then some other stuff happened it just took me a minute to get it together but I'm listening to the debate I would play it but I don't want to get dinged for copyright because ABC does have the rights to um to display it oh has concepts of a plan boy now kamla gave us good plans six grand for taxes I mean six grand for families um 50k tax credit three million new homes 25k um for firsttime home buyers and girl that that'll get people in the house girl who's I want to know that's a great question that's a great question who wants to shimm on in the room as we finish this debate up KLA just said I'm strapped I'm strapped girl and he has no plan I like that now we know some of commala policies so people can stop saying what are her policies what are her policies I think they're pretty damn good three million homes that'll really help this housing crisis Who Wants To Shimmy on in the room he has Concepts good evening yeah remember when insurance companies could deny that was so ridiculous Concepts from a convict Concepts from a convicted felon I'm not interested yes cap medicines to 2,000 a year another plan let me write that down CT meds at 2K a year let's keep people alive imagine that imagine a medical industry that tries to keep people alive how did we like um my appearance on Dr Heavenly show today I really enjoyed it I really like working with her she is fun and um and she made sure that it also streamed on my Channel today and she's like we're gonna grow your channel and I was like that's really sweet of her like she's messy on the show but she's sweet in real life but we've got I'm giving you gold but who would like to come in and talk about kamla's plans this is is the one day we gonna do a little politics chat I'm still listening to it yeah homeowners insurance let's talk about that [Music] okay jobs 800,000 jobs it's investing in American infrastructure as well for these new electric cars they're building big Auto plants in Mexico big big plants and tiny tiny hands these people go on and say go on and say it say it say it you know you wanna and the fact that I've had to look at that Shredded Wheat on your head for the past 16 years of my life is horrible girl what are you talking about where are your plans you are ranting and raving about nothing you sound like Alon deflecting all night the debate hey bit honey I mean honestly KLA has been able to get so many points across because he is like truly on coot deflecting all night it's I'm surprised he hasn't truly gone off the rails I I don't care what she is I don't care what she is oh you care because your end is in the air as your run draws to a close you will be a two time loser thank you Chris Ray girl when he said that they were that they were often babies after they were born he said the ew they were um I ain't gonna say it you know Paige Paige Paige but ain't nobody trying to off no baby ain't no at nine months or after even after when the baby arrives they can still off that baby they can still just completely decide to off that baby you said that out loud and like literally they I'm so glad they have the factchecking there is no state in America where it is legal to off a baby after oh my God like it really shouldn't surprise me the ignorance of men the Deep depressing dark ignorance of me and I'm but I'm also very confused because I'm like you have women in your life what confuses me about men that are so completely toned deaf to women I'm like what are the women in your life like has none of the women in your life ever had an issue like H how are you not sympathetic to them how do you not especially as a heterosexual man how do you like you supposed to be the pillar of the family the patriarch the all knowing father how are you not able to emotionally care for your female family members from mother to wife wife to sister to daughter how you don't know nobody that ever had an exoscopic pregnancy endoscopic ectoplasmic you know what I'm talking about he oh girl ain't nobody taking ain't no jobs ain't no damn jobs that's what that's what the issue is ain't no damn jobs to take I was thinking about that Kool-Aid that had Ecto um what was his name from Ghostbusters to there we go like don't haven't you known any woman that's had an issue where you're like oh she needs care how do they not have that like I I don't that's one thing that blows my mind oh God he did not say I miss that one all right we closing around for for for e she hasn't done it because the Republicans have been working against us tooth and nail okay and we're gonna bring in CeCe hey CeCe how are you you're a failing candidate we're not in Decline girl you was the one meeting with the ban of the tow I think we're waiting for the speaks to finish I think that's what CC's doing because I'm still I'm still hearing it okay all right and that was it okay now um CeCe what are your thoughts oh and we got shishi hello shishi hello can you hear me yes I can hear you great thanks how are you I'm fine um I'm a big fan been quite some time years and uh thank and I'm glad you uh tipped in on this debate uh I think it's gonna be the turnning for Trum I hope so wait um is there any way you can move your headphones closer to your mic you're like coming in fuzzy oh is this any better better um what you listening through I'm listening through my phone um I don't have my mic hooked up computer at the moment uh huh offline for one second and see use yeah let's try that because yeah that that was I want to hear what you have to say but that audio was not going to let us be GRE and sometimes the audio does that but it's going to come back strong and come back right hold on let me turn my oven off else I was very pleased with kamala's performance hold on let's do this okay I'm putting the link in so people can shim me on in I was pleased with kamla's performance she stayed on Tab she was hitting him back every time he was trying to get at her and it was also very pointed where it's like is this what we really want to deal with more attacks with no plan for the future and then that when um what was her name Janice Janet when she said did you have so did you actually have a plan I have Concepts you were already the president you shouldn't have Concepts but then again if you were a successful president you wouldn't have been voted out after one term in the middle of a panini I appreciate the fact checking too exactly well that's the thing when you have somebody that's constantly lying you don't have to you know Pander it's like you're not even endorsing you're just telling the truth you're like well if I constantly have to fact check you they didn't have to fact check kamla ever because she wasn't out here saying they're out here offing babies offing babies after after they're born exactly she didn't allow him to take her out of character and then when they asked about race oh I don't I don't care what she is I don't care I didn't know I found out she was know he kept trying but they were muting the mics good but who else would like to shimmy on in the room I made myself some little um tartlets with uh from Trader Joe's they've got un jam and um some type of like melted feta cheese they're pretty good these little things exactly he told us to drink bleeds that was such a hot mess and it wouldn't have been such a hot mess if you if you hadn't been president my goodness [Music] okay hear me a little better um give me a one two12 one two12 uh it's almost better oh okay all right I'm not hearing that clicking you're not hearing that clicking no no there it is there it is yeah it's bad it's like you have water in the mic an old mic that's what I say I oh God I'm sorry honey because yeah we can't hear you is it any better this kind of way then I'll just listen to you guys um oh okay that's good well no now there's an echo oh where are you calling me from no I'm I'm I'm calling from Ohio we don't have the fastest uh speeds out here either oh Lord yeah we don't have to wait till you're you're in this universe because it sounds like you're calling from I don't know where yeah I want to hear your opin cause oo that that would get painful damn who else wants to shim me on in and and hopefully don't call us from is she one of them people that was stuck in space is that why her signal was so bad I bet you she was the one that was stuck in space I could see her watching show I could see especially as an astronaut it would be a great way to let your brain take a rest and just worry with the foolishness of a reality show I could see it she had to be calling from space either space or the Marana trench hello hi all right so calling from Earth yes well thank you for having me I am such a huge fan um um I'm actually really nervous but I wanted to give you um don't be nervous you're among friends yeah I just wanted to give you kind of like a kind of like a devil's advocate or a um more of a moderate uh talking point um let me my TV I should have did that before I hopped on here um um so one of the things that I'm concerned about from both candidates is the energy like um energy sources so I know there's a big push from the government right now to like have cars be electric and um I know our like our infrastructure is not ready like that is like a huge problem right now and I'm like you know um they're pushing out all these electric cars for us to buy electric cars but I'm like what are we what are we doing with them like what are we like there's nowhere to charge your cars um and also charging your car outside of your home ain't free exactly which you know we pay for gas but like what is the the the price difference and then also Alex I had a preious uh previously like this year I the electrical system went out the well excuse me the electric excuse me my dad already replaced the engine and then the electrical system went out and they wanted $22,000 to fix it who has that kind of money for car repairs like I can afford around $700 you know around that you know for car repairs in emergency but $2,000 and the car was only worth 5,500 like come on oh you know and it's not like had a whole lot of miles see it's just not sustainable I don't know I think well also and I think that also speaks to a bigger issue um one that I was talking to my mom with and one that really ties in with with what you're talking about I don't I love that I've lived a life of being non-car dependent cuz I'm moving I'm moving back to the east coast I'm I'm planning it I'm figuring it all out but I'm I'm going back sooner than later um but my mom's like Oh are you going to buy a car when you get there and I was like no no like I'll be living in a city center again so I won't need one and I'm gonna you know be selling real estate again so I don't think you know I would just take Ubers I don't think I would need one and she's like oh you don't you're not like you don't want to get a car and I was like no I don't want to be car independent and I feel like the issue is too how are we going to design cities and bring back public transportation so that people aren't so card dependent now that we're trying to move to clean energy a big part of that is going to be making cities not so car dependent like unless you're in a New York San Francisco Boston Philadelphia uh DC you can't use public transportation exactly make cities walkable again exactly we have to make cities walkable again we have to put in public good public transportation again we have to start saying okay we've got to put a light rail in this neighborhood we've got to put trains downtown in this neighborhood we've got to start making downtowns you know uh business living districts again we have to remodel because the truth is our America our American sprawl is rooted in racism there was the white flight that created the suburbs now people want to live back in cities again we want to have a more sustainable America we want to use our energy more efficiently that means also as well as you know a strong electric car system that also is going to mean stronger public transportation exactly and I I I think that's a great idea and great talking points because um with climate change and you know with the water levels Rising people need to come together and and pull resources together I mean uh insurance in Florida is outrageous um people are or be affected by or being affected by these uh special assessments by HOAs um from climate change and Dam climate change the condo Market in Florida is is collapsing and a lot of um retirees are being screwed well not screwed necessarily but these buildings kept rolling over their um their condo fees and I've seen now fun fact I've actually because I did Real Estate I've seen this happen in New York where a building will have to do like a will have a major repair and so then their condo fees will be really high and so nobody wants to buy the apartment like the apartment will be the mortgage on like the apartment will be like maybe $4 million but your condo fees are 4500 a month because they had to buy a new boiler and the condo money was mismanaged so they didn't have when they needed it so then they had to do you know a quick line of credit and now they gotta build people out the woo until they get that 500,000 back or that half million or that 2.5 million well I mean I'm just that's happening with down that's happening with a lot of those Florida condos where now all of a sudden it's like oh because that one Condo building collapsed they got really strict and they're like oh well now you have to make these repairs and so now your condo fees are more than your mortgage yes or you're go sorry I was just supposed to it feel like they're trying to be compet competitiv it's like how many places all at once have meet all these repairs you know it's like they're all trying to compete and raise their prices to be competitive with each other so that folks don't have anywhere else to turn it's well it's one that they're not building one there's that huge case about a lot of these um uh property managers and landlords using that software to inflate the prices of rent and that's gone through the courts and that's been proven that we have to see what action is going to happen because after a decision's made then they're going to have to say Okay well here's your punishment and how that's going to affect people um we haven't seen how that's going to shake out yet but I imagine some lawyers is going to figure out how to use that to their advantage um that's that's how I feel that's going to work there's going to there's some Tom gerardi out there that's going to use that to be champion of the people and then run for president I'm telling you like there that's how people think that like the guy that does it that figures out how to punish landlords with this ruling he's going to end up trying to run for president one day he's not going to do it just out of the goodness of his court but as long as he gets it done hell I'm happy about it you're right but it's it's like sorry I'm trying to think of my talking point um damn if you D damn if you don't um but it's it's just ridiculous and um like you said hopefully it gets better um it and it's almost like they're they're using it to um like for nefarious purposes you know what I'm saying like they they're it's like the bait and switch it's like they'll do for us what we need to do and then what what is in store for the long term you know H exactly and I love that she was talking about you know the next 10 and 20 years like seeing beyond your president see and seeing building this country back into a place where people want to live where it's afford to live where it's enjoyable to live it used to be fun to live here and now it's just work and you know barely exactly and no and that's not going that's not sustainable but if we and also I would say with public transportation that eases people's Transportation budget and then if you can you know like she said build three million houses and you know maybe add a million Apartments to that actually let's make it two or three million Apartments to that um but the three million homes will definitely pull will definitely ease a lot on renters where okay now a lot of people that don't want to rent don't have to and see well okay so we going go to the affordable housing um it my concern is like is it going to turn into the project you know like there's a lot of people that work go ahead Sor oh no I'm sorry no I agree I think now housing has become so unaffordable people aren't thinking about the projects they're thinking about rents that are affordable at a market rate because now market rate rent is two grand for like a studio or one bedroom a studio or a one bedom don't you have no kids and that also means you really better like being up in your partner's face yeah and I hope I hope I didn't sound ignorant saying that but but you know what I'm saying with the saying that because that is definitely a fear where it's like okay when we say we're going to build three million houses we know the government we know they'll pull one where it's like oh Jesus Christ now you built three million slums and with either no transportation or no parking where it's like you'll forget something where and then all the money will be siphoned off to the rich area of town for example Hudson yards had beautiful multi-million dollar complex in New York City along the waterfront on the west side that a lot of that money was supposed to go towards affordable housing Uptown but the way they zoned it and literally if you look at the zoning it goes from all the way uptown all the way through Central Park over to Hudson yard they funneled the money and that's that's exactly it school it's like it's every it's almost everything it's like how can we trust these people but what she was talking about is um um in um incentivizing private Builders to build apartments and homes where it's like okay the building industry isn't building because they're scared if government subsidizes those homes then all right now we can build homes and sell them and we can and also we don't have to sell them for 400,000 because the government subsidizes 100,000 for every home that we sell for under 250 it would be a great move definitely a great move um yeah I mean more like the communities that they built in the 1950s for the World War II soldiers that got back rather than the public housing of the 1980s that was only Built to house a small black population this is housing across the board where we know we need we do need more public housing but we also need a lot more affordable and just more housing in the private sector because that's why it's become so unaffordable that also means they're going to have to change a lot of zoning laws because that's what's kept so many single family homes in these cities and that's why these single family homes are worth $ four and5 million because they should have been turned into apartments or like three of them should have been turned into an apartment building where like 90 people could live and then if 90 people living there everybody's paying 1100 right I I think that I mean all these great ideas but it's like are they listening um uh that's why we're talking about them here so that way when we vote we can also write into to our Congress people our loc our local our local city council to get some of these zoning laws changed that's why we're having this brainstorm session right now so we can figure out what's important to us as a real estate agent and a renter in the big city these are issues that are near and dear to my heart that I feel like okay if we do this we can fix it um there was something that you touched on that I wanted to go back to um with the subsidies um there go I lost my thought I hate when I do that um sorry I I'll come back to it it'll come back to me there's actually some important but yeah um oh that's a good point there's so much more than what went into creating the projects than income oh yeah definitely I mean but ALS also it's very interesting that affordable housing has always been a talking point in communities of color um for women for women with children and for the gay community affordable housing has always been for people on the fringes not you know married women or not men um always always those on the but now a but now housing has become so untenable it is the hot topic of conversation of everyone even married people that they're like we have two incomes and we still can't afford our place well really what's the biggest issue and not even just with housing um even in businesses uh such as Red Lobster private Equity firms this is the point I was trying to make private Equity firms is ruining America um yes from housing to even RAR Lobster um was it because what they do yeah go ahead no go on that you know they buy you know they take over they said they're going to revamp the company and what they do is that they they they drive they do everything that they could they can to bankrupt the company because it makes them money I forgot how the business model works but they purposely ruin the company and it makes the money on the back end yeah here's how they did it with Red Lobster so with Red Lobster how Red Lobster was making so much money they owned all of their restaurants oh especially because this was back they started back in what the 70s the 80s it was cheap to buy a restaurant back then so everybody the franchises they own their restaurant so or you know they paid off the mortgage so then you had a paid off restaurant or you had like you had equity in it where you needed to do a remodel or's something you could your mortgage was low right with the new business model you now have to Le they they they sold all of the places the or the equity in them and now you're leasing from the private Equity Firm at a higher rate than your mortgage was and that's why shrimp scampy yes that's exactly it that's what I read and we have a new sunshine thank you for joining us what would you like to see um hi Alex it's nice to finally make a live yes yes so good to have you love the purple what would you like to see our new president tackle what would you like to see KLA specifically this I would like here just so to tackle I'm sorry there's such a delay that I'm trying to make sure I hear you and don't cut you off oh okay sorry I want her to tackle the fact that I am a mom of a very large family and on top of the financial issues and things like that I should not be getting messages that my kids school is in potential lock down for these threats we need to figure something out at this point I am exhausted with people bearing their babies and not having real answers to what we're dealing with in this country I don't care about the orange man I don't care about who he wants to blame for XYZ we need concrete definitive solutions to the problems we're having with our children being killed in what's supposed to be a safe space that is an incredible point and we all are Beyond sick and Beyond tired and we all vote the way we supposed to vote we are all voting for and especially as someone who and I've said this before as someone who has served in the United States military as someone who had to train with an M6 16 and various other stuff like that was my job that's what you had to do nobody has any business with that crap and our stuff only had three round bursts as a veteran I'm like that that was what we had the stuff they had are you out of your mind the only thing we had capable of that type of spray was called an sa aw and it was like 50 lbs and was like mounted like it is insane as a veteran it is insane these are weapons to Har people and nothing else this is not hunting this is not self-defense unless you're defending yourself against a pack of maring Huns like I don't know who is going to your house that is not like I for responsible ownership we got to watch what we say we got watch and thank you you did watch what you say and I really appreciate that sh sincerely appreciate that and I thank you for bringing up this point because I don't like I don't want any more families to hurt I don't want future generations to be robbed of their Geniuses I totally agree with you Alex because I know I have some interference on my side I want to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to present my issue with what's going on in the country I'm going go back to enjoying the rest of the live and commenting and showing support I'm a tweet as always so thank you for letting me have this face all right come on in anytime I'm sure it'll be better next time and now we have sky sky how are you hello my Alex how are you I'm good I'm good now we've just had a very important issue brought up that like yeah we need to like end this we are tired of and also like every school seems to be a Sitting Duck at this point let's start giving schools Moes I think that that makes a very good point I think it might be time for a mo I think it might be time to say you know what we need to start like we need to start putting schools on islands like you know the zombies are going to come get them you know um unfortunately um you're here in California with me um I'm a parent of a of being in California as well and being a product of growing up in California schools and I come to find out unfortunately even though I'm nowhere near on the Republican side there is one policy that I would have to say that I don't I'm surprised a lot more of our liberal moms is our parents AR stepping up and that's allowing for our children to be able to take types of medications and things like that to alter their sex and I have a very big issue with that because as long as you're under the age of 18 your body and your brain is still altering so I don't believe that a should be worrying about broing grades Sports whatever they want to grow up and be you know what I'm not I'm not I'm not I'm not I'm not doing this today I'm not doing this today I'm not doing this today I'm not doing this today I'm not doing this today with you madam I'm not doing this today aging Baby Next Top okay yes um actually I wanted to kind of touch on what the young lady um in the purple touched on with school shootings um than you let's talk about something real let's talk about something that's actually affecting our oh my god oh Lord troll is gone Troll And Roll is gone roll but let let's yes or again or honestly you know what I let's Moes Moes back to Moes Moes for the schools or schools on Islands this also will help it build infrastructure we can you know maybe get some parks on Islands next door they build Islands in Dubai we could build Islands here we need to get people back to work and that's something that the robots can't do all by themselves also we got to talk about Universal basic income because the robots are going to be here before we know it like girl they might be here before the end of your term what's going to happen when like robots are running McDonald's and that's going to be something that especially if she wins again like girl it it's time to get corporations used to paying a universal basic income because also who's gonna buy your [ __ ] once robots are making it who's going to work like that that's the one thing they didn't think like but also think about it that's the one thing these corporations didn't think of it's like okay so you fire everybody now who's going to buy your [ __ ] are you are you a to make enough off of the other billionaires buying your [ __ ] well and then what they need to do is put some change in the education system to to direct the children to jobs that aren't specialized in you know can't AI can't take over such as customer service and service jobs and and put value behind it put hey people you know that's oh my God and exactly some things people also AI is going to have a very interesting Awakening because there's some things that people just aren't going to put put up with also I want to thank everybody in the chat for being so so [ __ ] supportive we've got she is sunshine oh my word Aaliyah Moonlight not today Quinn Smith thank you Alex and she is sunshine I love this and she forgot where she was I'm not lie she talking I get lost I was like I don't follow okay we have Daryl hello Daryl how are you hi good evening everybody I'm calling from Detroit so I had to hop in Detroit yeah yeah yeah I had to hop in and uh chime in on this wonderful debate that I just watched yes please please speak your mind yeah so I I heard the uh other lady you know discuss one of the things that she wants to see from our next president is discussing these these ways of protecting our children um I think another call out that we definitely have to discuss that I was from my next president to see is the continue rise of uh wealth inequality in this in this nation right now the average home for a first-time homeowner is like $230,000 right now that's unheard of like the home that I grew up in in Detroit my mom and dad would not be able to afford it right now and they both were like working like my dad was a fire and growing up my mom working in healthcare they would not be able to to afford a home right now and I'm working and I have Lally have a six fig job and was like I can't find nothing right now so this is something that needs to be discussed because you're talking about a huge inequality in terms of like housing in terms of like employment it's nuts may I ask your age uh I'll just turn 36 this past Saturday so I'm going to be 42 in December we are both Millennials and I think that there needs to be a specific financial plan for Our Generation because we were the generation that got left behind we got financially left behind we have been hit with one financial crisis after another especially those of us that are black brown female or LGBT elg elg qua uh so we need to be able to be put on a fast track to retirement in a way that the Baby Boomers or Gen X did not because they had the opportunity for jobs and Investments that we didn't they could buy a house back then I you know for you know what 150 at bet and that's a mansion that's a mansion they were able to buy starter homes 25,000 50,000 75,000 then as the prop prices just inflated inflated and you know you got more experience and again you're the generation of job gatekeeping where y'all stayed in them jobs a little too long and let's also keep in mind that we are also our tax paying dollars is going towards paying for those baby boomers when they reach retirement and become senior citizens and now they're going to eat up the Social Security to the point that it's going to be nonexistent by time I turned 55 so where is my balloon payment where is my retirement at 401K 401K is be obsolete in the next 30 Years so oh yeah gonna have to make something else yeah y need to explain to us how she values she keeps saying she values Social Security and Medicare well how are you going to prolong it and and really value it put the value oh also oh wait I'mma get you I'mma hit you I'mma H I'm I'm I'mma get I'mma h I'm a hit I'm I'm a hit with the current cost of living how will you keep up with inflation and there climbing by the time we retire because let's see I'll be 42 in December so let's say I what is it 62 like so in 20 in 20 years with the like we just seen how inflation flates and how the cost of living is rising Rising because the stockholders and the shareholders and the Venture Capital they've got to get more more more more more raise the rent charge more $80 for an orange godamn it I need a new y yeah and and some of these Republicans saying they want to do with retirement in general now if you actually listened to some of these here's why that's not going to work here's why that's not going to work they love to say dumb [ __ ] when they don't actually run a business that that's idiot speak and here's why because your ass is going to be old but covered by work insurance this is when the snake starts eating its own tail now you're going to be taking care of these people and guess what you got dementia on the job now we got to pay for your rest home you feel it's like you start getting catastrophic incredible care injuries on the child once you get into them 60 there's reason people retire in them 60s the body says no no no the knees is too bad the ass is too set it said no no no I was five years in the Army my back said uh [ __ ] you [ __ ] my neck and my back but to actually so pay it now pay it good hit this insurance just like you should but to Alex like oh sorry no go on but I like um to Alex like for me and you since we're uh vets um I think a lot of people are about to go to the military now with the housing crisis because even me who just did five years I have the opportunity to get like even the most lowest of VA loans for housing like they have basically what you were saying about in the 80s and like Baby Boom a big house for a family of four for like 150 mortgage and it's like it can be like a starter home like built from the ground Foundation up so stuff like that is you'd have to get a construction loan too with that but nothing honestly and especially like I've been so many from economists like I listen uh what's it Forbes I think it is uh basically they're saying like right now just rent until the that's buy but that's wait what you say I'm sorry H you cut out oh can you hear me yeah I can hear you okay my okay what were you saying there are rents that what no the uh like economists who are like doing the trends of the housing uh epidemic they're saying just rent an apartment or uh a big apartment with your family and then wait till the next housing crisis happens like in 2008 or so who the [ __ ] want to live with their family uhuh hell to the n I love them but I can't look at them like that no absolutely not and welcome great R all day H how are you I'm good drinking this Crown Apple after that debate child I'm about to light me some incense good day I think americ something you can't live with our families here in America yeah that that's a forign that's a I hate I don't talk but that's like an immigration family climb up it's so to like live together and cuz I'm I'm outside of Dearborne which is like one of the largest iric based cities in America and that's all they do but that's a way for them to like uplift themselves keep in mind we as people of color we had to learn Financial wealth we don't have that growth they come into the many immigrant families come in with wealth we don't we have to build ourselves up so that's difficult that's difficult to say oh we could just get an apartment uh Alex you called it family yeah with family many of our black families they they can barely afford a two-bedroom apartment a one-bedroom apartment in this economy and so that's a major call out and another thing also I fail to mention there's way too many billionaires in this country and everybody wants to talk about the good old days like the 50s which I don't want no part of that but one thing I always talk talk about from an economist standpoint the reason why the 50s and the were so successful because of the huge taxes that they put on the wrench there was not that many billionaires in the 50s and 60s you know why because they taxed them 30% and capped it on that so that's why we saw money spread from families to families and you saw wealth we have over what 1,500 billionaires in this country alone and the medium income is what $440,000 a Year how's somebody supposed to of that tax girl Beyonce pay your taxes Rihanna all these I hate I really do hate how we kind of cheer on kind of our like flight almost just because of theon's color of their skin and that's insane to me because I am not going to be able to take care of my family like it's just me right now but I want kids and a husband and all that but like later down the line Beyonce being super rich and living on an secluded island is not going to help me pay my bills and to alleviate all uh economic stress I mean I'm not saying that she I mean honestly like just the fact that she she and Jay-Z well not to just stand on the black ones but like every black uh billionaire they have exploited that wealth to the point where it's just a detriment there's no point of having a billionaire class and it's insane that it's just growing and growing while we are suffering standing in a child line yeah can I further expound on that oh sorry I was no I just wanted to say not only black billionaires don't make a difference or black billionaire or EXC excuse me billionair of color don't make a difference but it doesn't seem like people of color and politics make a difference either it um like uh Tiffany hener in in in Chicago she's she's making the township bankrupt and there was another L uh black mayor in in in in Michigan doing the same thing and it's like we can't we can't continue these identity politic points we can't let them because they're they look like us or they they eat hot sauce on their chicken or all that stuff we can't let that distract us anymore we can't let that low vibrational low IQ thinking deter like that's why we are where we are and the less are two evils I feel like now hold on now also now I want to talk about this ra Canon I want to talk about this as a real estate agent I want to speak on this yeah let's talk about gentrification in certain areas now ra said to be fair we all did sell our Grandmom's home I did Real Estate in Harlem and Washington Heights and I watched a lot of black families pack up and leave and a lot of it was be not leaving because oh my goodness this is you know we're fleeing it was the it was the grandparents The Matriarch and patriarch or just the matriarch of the family sold their business sold the family Homestead move moved South with the rest of the family was able to buy a house for themselves a house for you know the you know one of the children or two of the children somebody was somebody's College was paid for it was now it's time for the second half of our life and now we can go back south and be around other family and it wasn't convenient to say they also the kids had gone into different businesses had different dreams different hopes different aspirations and so they didn't have to go into family business and they also didn't have to live in Harlem like I did not have as many black clients as I thought I would but then I realized oh it's because we can live wherever we want now so yes we did sell our grandparents homes but it's because we were able to go to school and then have a lot more Choice than our grandparents had so therefore their homes and that life isn't going to fit the new life that they thought for us to have today you know I want to H speak to that I do see that I I have seen that um like that comment said the Legacy that we used to maintain along with other uh uh with other uh Customs that we used to partake in we no longer partake in because we were gentrified in as African-Americans in this country a lot of our ways we no longer hold dear for instance I had my child in 1998 around that time I heard so many young girls and and early 2000s say that breastfeeding their children was disgusting and nasty and that is the most God awful thing I could hear and I don't want to offend anybody but this is how I see it not Alex not nobody else this is how I see it because our customs and culture were almost stripped well dang near stripped away from us even storytelling is something we we did as a people before we were kidnapped and came to this country so many of our customs were manipulated into thinking white is Right other ways is what we should be doing for instance straightening our hair that's a whole different conversation for another day you know one I one I cannot participate in but thanks for reminding me to put my RO on shame here shame here I'm just saying again that this is this is from me to y'all not Alex's channel so we have to remember what is best for us in the long run maybe some people did need to sell because it was either sink or swim however I don't I don't subscribe to us black people don't know how to do things as a people we do it's just that so many times a lot of of interference have come in making us think that we can't or or other situations have made it spiritually impossible for us to do for example the GI bill when World War II ended a lot of soldiers came home and was all soldiers came home and all meaning no matter what color you were and there are a lot of us who fought in World War II I.E uh uh Red Tails go watch that movie just to refresh your memory GI bill was promised to every Soldier but guess what when it came down to the brown soldiers and the black soldiers oh um huh what they act they don't speak like they don't speak English so a couldn't get for their families a lot of that that opportunity going to school all of those things that were that were available to enhance longevity could not be obtained and other things that happened within this government that was promised to all but only given to others but not us I I will also say I never meant to say that we couldn't do things as a people I just meant to say especially especially speaking to Harlem I see why there are some specific families that left and also to your point um like how the GI bill you know kind of didn't apply to black soldiers because of to um your point to redlining and other things of that nature the people that are you know cashing out from the equity that they built in their homes and their businesses in New York that are moving south are now repop are now finding new black meccas to our choice places like Atlanta places like Charlotte where also we're moving into places that are well-kept up with good infrastructure versus like you can have a great like there are some beautiful blocks in Harlem but there are there are still parts of the infrastructure of Harlem that aren't there and I mean I was there for how long and things barely improved where I can understand people say you know what I'm gonna take my money elsewhere and by the time they do it here it's going to be so overpriced they're doing it for the white people I'd much rather go where I'm more welcome and and I can and and and and and along with that and I I just want to say this we have to stop giving the exception to the rule the Forefront because there are so many negative stereotypes with every situation we we usually discuss those before we discuss the actual reality of exactly what we're doing as a people I hear so many times well you know if so and so wouldn't have done so and so well that's the exception to the rule that's not really how supposed to be so how about we put forth and think more so on what is versus the negative stereotype of it all if if if you understand what I'm saying I can and we can talk about gentrification and we can talk about people being displ we can talk about how predatory the real estate industry is and the and the staunch racism in the real estate industry part of why going back to the east coast because I know I can sell to y'all out there I wouldn't sell to y'all here if you don't mind if I could add if I could add on what what what was just said this is something that you know with my background and African-American studies I also want to call this out we mentioned about black billionaires like Beyonce black capitalism is not going to save the black race Equity is going to help us we do not have equi this is why the case for reparations is important because we are what has been what was not taken from us and even you know the call out was like you know G forication or like you know having our own stuff and forgetting our stuff let's not forget we were stolen let's not forget that our black towns like Lake laner like Greenwood like Rosewell like when we try to do what we were supposed to do when we try to create our own economic wealth and and capitalism what happened they Dropped a Bomb on us what happened in rosed and killed us and they and they to this day they refus to repair and restore the families those those people in Rose they're literally waiting for everybody to die so they don't have to pay them back so I want to be mindful of that like yes we can we can call those things out but let's be clear black capitalism is not going to save us that's there's there's a reason why there's only one D there be multiple dides I'm from Detroit we were the original black Mecca 82% of this city is own and operated by people of color there should not be any black poor established neighborhoods in my city but it is because why black capitalism so like that's just something we definitely need to to call out on that don't mean to make it this this woke narrative but I just I want to call that out because you know there's always this call like we can do better we have done better and when we do do better they still take it away from us so and another thing we gotta oh sorry no no I just call that that oh okay I I wasn't trying to like say it's a good thing that b black billionaires are billionaires in general oh no no no yeah I get I get you okay um to taex we've been a lot of people been par out just taxes people done paid off their properties and then Generations later I was going to bring up a point about gentrification and displacement so here is another way a much more Insidious way that people are displaced from their neighborhood say you um there are many different ways to purchase an apartment especially like where I used to work in Harlem in Washington Heights where you could get um what's called a uh below market rate great apartment uh there was a program called Mitchell llama there was a program called HD I always confus it with HDFC which is what ensures the banks but it's hdic there were a couple of programs like that where you could you know buy an apartment you wouldn't be a like it would never appreciate really in value but it would be a place where you could own you could leave it to a family member and you know like that way you could stay living in the city on you know a regular person's salary and even that it's like you're still making like in the low six figures or in the high FIV depending on how far you go back you had a lot of those and people started to realize oh I'm never going to get any Equity out of this and they left but also even when they stayed there the coffee shop up the Street turned into a Starbucks or turned into a private coffee shop and the coffee they used to get for $150 went up to 650 the supermarket turned into a Whole Foods or an Echelon or a what have you and now your bread that was you know 99 cents is now $4 and they don't have the foods that you used to like anymore because your favorite restaurants were all shut down because now there's a yoga studio and a pilat studio and a Chase bank and so what happens is even if you get to keep your apartment the neighborhood around you will change and then two if you have any friends that didn't own they might have gotten pushed out where it's like I don't have as many friends as I used to have in this neighborhood especially as you get older and this is how they get older people I don't have as many friends the place I used to go and hang out nobody's there anymore then people start then as the neighborhood changes people are like you know what the price has gone up I'm G to retire like now they start getting good off then some of your friends start getting good offers on their apartment and they're like oh [ __ ] I can cash out I can send my grandkid to school my mom's getting sick I can afford her care now like you know there's a lot of different a lot of different things happen to change a neighborhood but the most Insidious is the prices of local Goods going up where people are then priced out where even then the poor are like okay I can afford to leave here and go somewhere where my people are again and then two as you start to also with older people the kids start taking them the kids are like okay Mom look you 70 I I'm not doing this anymore I'm not worrying about you you're too old to be in this neighborhood it's not the safest the police aren't going to save you these Yin these Yin as acting a fool yeah they might call the police on you and like I don't want to deal with that you're going to come back live with me down the South or Midwest or wherever the other black meccas are and you know and it's like and and that's the thing the new there are new black meccas yes so like New York or with Harlem and like well I don't know too much about New York and you know the Burrows with but just generally in New York black people had black flight because of what you're describing because black families just didn't feel safe and not just in physically but like financially and also culturally because they felt like they being pushed out so why don't we just go back to a or go to a place that is safer in all respects and also I can say this New York is not the New York that it used to be New York has cut up all of the apartments to where they want everything to be like at most a three freaking bedroom it is not a city that is is friendly to families except for the rich if you're not a billionaire don't have a child there York your child is not welcome that's PE child it's the New York Post like make a whole art not article but like a the cover that was showing of The like Black and Hispanic nannies uh take care of yes yes they just did that they just did that but also like if you have you ever seen like old movies and I'm talking like movies like said in like the early 90s or the 80s have you ever seen that movie kids yes yeah that would never happen because nobody would have that kind of space for their children unless they were Rich enough to keep an eye on them nobody like that would never happen because would never have kids that poor with that kind of space in the city it doesn't exist anymore your parents have to be somebody's making 250 somebody and honestly now 450 yeah can we go back to um exactly politic oh go ahead sorry wait I'm sorry what were you saying um did you guys want to touch on identity politics um sure what was your question they or just in general sry well I guess how do yall feel about it um you know sometimes it's for the good sometimes it's for the evil I feel like it's plaguing Us in this in this R in this last four four years but well let's well what is your definition of identity I was goingon to I was going to asked that how do you identify with identity identity politics um well a a lot of I would say local governments um haven't really seen at the national level in a while but in the local governments um like I said uh I touched on Tiffany henyard um a few moments ago um she is a a mayor uh and a supervisor over the uh Thorton Township and she is the mayor of um a small suburb of Chicago dton Illinois uh I'm familiar with that story it's it's a mess over there now she's not the only one though she's she's she's I've seen story I'm not familiar so so the story with Tiffany is that she's a black and don't get my page shut down oh no no no no no no no no no we're not gonna do that she's a black politic that's caught up in a lot of controversy because it has been indicated that she has stolen close to the tune of $1.2 million in in funding towards the township and the township is heading towards receivership because of her inability to provide checks and balances as well as essential information to the point that they brought in the original mayor of Chicago I forgot her name I thought it was seven million like it's it's up your life foot life foot came in to do like a audit uh of the city funds and see K this is something the most corrupt wait Lori wrinkled suit light foot the that is the same yep all Lori wrinkled suit light foot he got involved no didn't that's a m sir right there that's a Madam sir oh yeah oh yeah and St yeah she yeah she she put her foot in and she said that this is some the most corrupt I trust her to hang my television I bring I would let him fix my toilet any day of the week yeah but here's the thing no offense like because you're from Chicago right if I can assume who yeah uh you sorry I can't see your name will I talking to me no no no the one with no uh screen sa I can't see your name um I'm I'm I'm originally from Kentucky and I live in Arizona now okay um I was just going to say because if you go down the history especially politics in Chicago it's corrupt it's it's a curse almost it's like not in Chicago ell the state been reading on it so like down to the 50s and 40s to today no matter what it is Republican Democrat black white gay straight they just it's just the environment in the culture of politics in Illinois that you were it's like the advice they give each other yeah so trying to dismiss what she that this person has done the mayor but it's like I'm not shocked I'm not Shock because these people it's like almost like a fraternity and sorority where it's like to get in you have to be like okay you need to commit this fraud you need to uh lie to constituents daily all this that and the third and it's like I feel like Illinois needs Federal supervision oversight yeah something like I'm not the biggest like oh save us all thing but Illinois it's like really look into especially with games and not I'm not talking about our games like Italian it's that it's I'll tell you what it is I'll tell you what it is the problem that's in Illinois same problem that's in Detroit the same problem that's in Buffalo you know what all them people have in common the Great Lakes something about that water makes triflin I I want to know correlation St Chicago and uh Illinois Bad Love Canal oh you know oh Love Canal is the correlation Love Canal started in the St Lawrence River and that water that poison water they poison all them people and had them babies coming out with defects they had to close the whole thing down look up Love Canal We Know About Love Canal Love Canal poisoned the whole Great Lakes and that made everybody trifling that's the correlation okay so aging 80s baby was bringing up all of that what's the correlation between her and her mess and and the identity politics well her among others is that they when they interviewed the folks who who voted her in they literally said it was because she was female and young they did she has a criminal record she's a she was a slum Lord prior to that she had a restaurant a failed burger restaurant she was not good in in Bank uh with finances and she was a trustee um prior to the elected the mayor um she replaced another black mayor who actually left the township with a surplus right so what I'm saying is that we can't they literally several people said that they voted for her because she's female and young she's the first female be and that was the only reason they they voted for her and that cannot be that's not a good enough reason so so so here's here's my here's my statement on that because I'm like I said I'm from Detroit and we had our own Tiffany dton situation when we had cromy kill Patrick um and and let me let me tell you I that was some mess wait now hold on hold on now I want to ask um Ray Ray what would you now we can go back to this so hold your point hold your point um but I just want to ask her because this is the whole point of the life what would you like to see President kamla Harris tackle um as she stated bringing back the middle class um up to above standard because I'mma say this till the cows come home when I first bought my house child in 2017 I when I when I did my taxes that year I was told that this will be the last year you will be able to file or claim your home business uh uh uh on your taxes because the new president who was you know who said said that we can no longer claim our federal uh our we can no longer claim working from home on our federal taxes so I would had I got that one year and it gave me a boost that one year and it was supposed to be stretched out for the next seven eight years so as of next year when she becomes president all of us who work from home can go back to claiming our work from home exemptions and everything and all of that so that we can get a boost up and I would love to see more about her plan to substantiate us being the middle class because the wealthy is good the the the you know the poor needs help but the middle class is the backbone of this country or the very least we're the ones spending money we don't hoard money like the rich and I think now we've all been Pro it's it's been proven time and time again there is no such thing is trickle down economics and oh I wanted to say something else but me too my page my P your page I respect it and thank you thank you for respecting it and also um we've had and I want to thank you for our conversations about homeownership and did and it's like I'm trying to get there but the you've watched like I was getting real close yes we was close in Vegas and now look at it we about to get close again soon as we elect her in oh no as soon as we El her that's why I'm going back to that's why I'm going to Philadelphia really where I can AF yes where I can afford a home and where also I can do sales that are affordable San Francisco Alex I was like oh lord it's not even like culture-wise just the the economics of living there I was just like wow you Blue Blood to me but then it's like no one can really live in San Francisco well I gave it a try I was here for four years and now it's time to move on yeah it was fun and I learned a lot but uh to it's time to move on yes but uh to Circle back with Kamala like I feel like Trump has messed up our taxes so much that I don't think people really realize how much of it like I think people still think of him as the reality star you know troll that he is but don't realize how devious and messed up because Biden like the first hundred days he was just like turning over all these executive orders that Trump did and all these things and that was basically his whole thing to do it was like I'm not Trump yes but like I have to fix this because things like the foundation of our country was in TMO from just those four years of his cancy so like I feel like now with Biden doing all that just to fix everything basically kamla has a more uh I would say structured uh over yeah uh over Biden because she now can be quote unquote free of and also we can finally and we need to vote blue the damn ticket so we can get rid let's say it together everybody clap your hands get rid of the student loans girl you I didn't hear [ __ ] about it I want to hear about it I want to hear it I want to hear I want to hear the church say amen amen amen amen because they sue again judges or I forget and you want to talk about putting money into small business you got to put money in the hands of those that would shop in a small business Let the church say hallelujah Let the church say is canell Let the church say that is cancelled I got a grandmother I mean what can we do seriously though because the Supreme Court is who ruled or canceled it out or made it unconstitu add three judges Shake dark titties and add three judges Shake our titties and add three judges and that's another important fact that people also if we can get a senate that will vote we ain't got to worry about that but we need three judges anyway we need three judges anyway and also too no more lifetime appointments your ass gets five years yeah liftime I'm sorry Ruth that's another issue with SC we have to we have to put Kamala in because two people are expected to retire from the lifetime uh uh uh those two was it um I forgot the I forgot the other guy but Clarence Thomas and another guy supposed to retire one uh and then uh the plan that Trump has is to appoint two more stupid people up in there but if we could really if we put kamla in and if they they probably gonna hold out but they probably can hold out for four more years so she has the opportunity to put two sensible folks in there instead of two stupid people like Trump did and I say stupid because I can't say the other word and get his P that but here's the thing all prayed together real hard Clarence com will finally I mean can he even have a heart attack without a heart but some other Melody that will happen to him and he'll be finally sent to hell it's about eight people it's about eight people who need a a a cocktail or two an express Ticket they needed to be on that damn Submarine that's IM merci no that was a quick death Alex like I want as it's effective that's I here's thing I want to stop everybody else's suffering I don't give a [ __ ] about yours I'm not judge jury or executioner that's between you and your Jesus not betwix me and mine I just want to stop everybody else's pain but again my page my page baby my page that's right but yeah like Clarence Tom know what I'm on it's like look I'm not going to let you hurt nobody but uh we all saw what happened in um American Horror Story I'm not about to be down there with Papa Lego i't about to have a fire poker in my hand unless I'm in the Hampton bag but that Tiffany henr situation um like U like um uh aging 80s baby was saying um I think it's important to put politics first since we're dealing with political issues it's all great and dandy to get new blood in but it's but it's important for people to know government and to have a reputable reputation that's trustworthy enough and and you know so that we don't have to run across these issues now things may happen along the way however uh had someone else been put in that position who you know or if someone was more available in that position to be you know more political Savvy and whatnot perhaps those issues would not have occurred but yeah she's you know and she has criminal and civil uh uh uh law issues and legalities going on just like kwami did because that woman who said she was violated by by that man that worked for uh henyard all of them need need to be under the jail for just that alone and and he would have to be the nerve to be a former civil rights leader in Chicago ain't that Andrew hes Andrew hols yeah his name I wna ask now Ray Ray how do you feel about a package specific for Millennials that would help us with the economy that we've been facing how do you feel about that I would think that and I'm all about education I'm all about people knowing what is best for them and having all of the inform enough information for them to make the best educated decision for their future I believe that number one they should be educated enough to know the basics and fundamentals of government so that they're not guess at what means what what you know we have three branches and to know what each of those mean and how they affect the people and and and you know and just to have a basic knowledge of how things ran and run for instance just how we know about the housing crisis in 2008 for them to really have an understanding of what happened at that time it wasn't just people who couldn't afford it getting approved it was the manipulation of the financial institutions for those people knowing that they can get a lot of money out of them for the first seven to 10 years and then so be it you know it it it's more about being educated in everything so that you know that may require some time some resources that they need to spend to make sure that their minds are uh well well lit and and and well-rounded so that they can make better educated decisions for themselves knowing how they want to live their lives in the future does that make sense oh yeah yes um what are your thoughts on the 3 million homes because I like that idea I actually think it should be about six to 12 I didn't hear I think three million was a little modest I feel like California itself needs three million new home hell the Bay Area itself needs three million new homes and Los Angeles itself needs three million I didn't hear about the three million homes refresh my what what's said that around the beginning of it I was I was just writing down a couple bu bullet points but she said that at the beginning when she was building when she mentioned the housing crisis and she said I have a plan to build three million new homes oh okay because a lot of the homeless issues is sometimes like you know we always hear that some people their uh mental faculties are not great uh you know like they need help with like mental ISS yeah or their addicts and stuff but there's a bunch of people who have the funds who have the means of work it's trickle down poverty that's what we're talking about it's trickle down poverty people that work a fulltime job and a part-time job but still can't afford housing because rent is two grand a month or and you got to make six times the rent or I'm sorry three times the rent to qualify yes and some that the housing is just not there like they still want to live in the area like their families and like been here for Generations you know all that like we talked before but because there're like take for New York there's people there's like auctions for even the small studio apartment and people like have the funds they go through the background checks and everything everyone wants that singular one apartment but because there's just not enough available and that's why she's describing on how to fix it is to just build more housing okay did she go more into affordability for the housing or is it just building housing she didn't really it's more we are at a point where if you build more housing it will bring down the price of the current housing because so many more people will have a PL like that where we are I think she also needs to point out we're going to build public transportation around this housing and not make this housing car dependent because part of why phelia part of why I've lived in New York and lived in San Francisco is because these are cities where I haven't had to have a car people tell me oh move to North Carolina the rent's so much cheaper there you could get a place for you know 900 1300 yes and then I will be spending a grand a month on my car and right back to paying the same that I was paying right 3,000 a month you know I I'm fine with that however I would love to to hear what is the financial plan behind that or the the affordability plans behind that because myself I too well I I I'll give up the ghost on one thing that I plan to do once I win this Lotto uh I plan to build a lot of tiny home communities for veteran homeless vets and other homeless uh folks who uh like you know single parents not just moms but F some fathers are single parents too for various reasons mental ill those people who are you know are shunned or or or what have you so if it's something along those lines and not just for the working class that's fine um but I would hope that there's plans for you know especially homeless veterans because none of them should be homeless I'm sorry I I just don't she did mention uh about giving firsttime home buyers $25,000 ,000 yeah and that's basically how much you need for a down payment now 25,000 and quiet is you really need 40 you really need 40 if you're buying anywhere where people want to live able to because another here's another like tricky thing about America you either live in New York San Francisco Los Angeles or like on the outskirts and you're able to make decent money if you live in you know if you live outside of the northeastern Corridor you know like Raleigh has some decent salaries moderately decent Charlotte but it's very much tied to where you live where it's like okay what's actually affordable yeah because for me like two like what they pay here you can get a place for you know two grand you're you're you're poor your house poor but you can do it but you go somewhere where you know the minimum wage is 725 and everything is still light years ahead pricewise like we need to have a lot more focus on how are we going to get activities affordable again like so many people are struggling and also in relationships they don't want to be in because they're like I can't afford to be single uh talk about Grandparents like for a second like because we all know someone who just like they were like separated relationship wise but like they still stayed in the same house because where else are they gonna go Ron and Rob Rob Dixon Dixon that is femininity Kirk and rashita in Atlanta so I'm sorry I have well I think well I would like to propose a solution or hopefully something I would like to see like kind of expanding the the hood uh H housing Urban Authority or however that is name basically I know right let me speak let me speak as a real estate agent I can end this right now to get hard to expand we're going to have to do what they do in Switzerland and in Norway and in other other um Nordic countries you're GNA have to give the money directly to the people for a down payment for this to actually happen and here's why whenever you have a voucher whenever you have anything that's government sponsored where the check got to come through the government every Community every neighborhood every Township every County will outzone it and say we only can have that in this a neighborhood because white people don't want to live next to they will and that's what everything in this [ __ ] comes down to they don't want to live next door to us like louana they the only way to fix it is to truly give people cash to say I'd like to purchase this property outright yes that's really the only way to fix it as a real estate agent as a real estate agent who did Real Estate in New York City I would have clients overqualified and watch them get passed up for pink toes with piss poort credit scores but it kept the aesthetic of the building because they you move one black in four whites move out damn one in four out is an old New York real estate expression I used to work in those exclus clue Uptown neighborhoods that were you know west of Broadway remember when I used to talk about thatd we run into the same problem with the extra 3 million cash not with not with cash buyers cas cash is King yeah with cash buyers with you see with a mortgage you can play games with cash buyers people like oh oh let's just get oh cash and then you have a representative where you don't know who those people are um sh Shay made a good point um do you think they'll price us out with the vouchers or no no no no no not with C that's why it has to be cash oh I've seen oh in New York oh I can tell you so in New York when they came out with the SE and here's another reason why New York rents are so high oh yes this is why in other countries they don't well also these are other countries that are allwhite countries so they don't have the racism issue but this is why they do things with cash only in other countries so that there isn't a stigma because like in New York there's something called Section 8 and there's something called hassa hassa is for uh people who have HIV and normally it's young gay men that get hassa it is a Housing Voucher so what happens is every year the housing vouchers say this is how much will pay the property managers and the landlords they see how much it is and they price all of their apartments two to $300 higher now here's the also the [ __ ] up thing with vouchers if you have a house a hassa in New York City now if you have a hassa or a Section 8 you can't pay any more than what the voucher gives you so if you have an apartment that's $1,100 and your hassa pays 900 you can't tell your landlord I'll pay 200 or you're in federal violation yep yeah the uh the that's also how they gentrify and how they're like oh yeah there's no places people with programs that's the gim gotta right yeah that's why if I didn't was in my with my disability even with like I had to be on uh what's it call it UA uh UI for a few uh months without my disability I'll be [ __ ] out of luck because they only give me uh barely 1800 a month and all that and that was not cutting it with even I'm in one bedroom apartment it's just me and that was not cutting it with all my bills and all that and plus with it so uh and so Chi-Chi that's why I was saying they should just give people money of the regular property price range they're not going to jack it up they're not going to jack it up when you've got hundreds of thousands on the line now with rent they will with property value they won't but chip H said that's how my um grandfather built his wealth in Detroit he had his feris skined attorneys go and be the initial face sellers folks didn't know it was a black man until he already owned the property signatures were already signed until it was too late they still doing that right now oh you and that's that that's evil but I'd rather people have homes than yeah than respect from a pink toe guys I'm going to hop on this is a a good conversation thanks for letting me hop on Alex Oh offside of this I got we got to talk about this love and marriage Detroit because these Negroes are cutting up in this city oh Lord actually on that note I have to shimm me on too but I want to thank everybody for joining me for this rich and fabulous conversation after kamla's successful debate and I will see y'all soon
