17 downtown businesses still without power after deadly crash in Tacoma

We didn't know if it was going to be a day or a week and it's just getting longer and longer and longer frustration mounting as 17 businesses along Pacific Avenue in Tacoma remain closed due to a power outage. It's been out since early Saturday morning. The result of a deadly single crash at 21st street and pack a the street's electricity is operated by Tacoma which said its team is working quickly to figure out what it will take to get the power back on. In the meantime, the shop owners wait, that's all we can do. Like Darcy Anderson at Tinker. How do you get people to come and support the store if they can't come in? Well, a handful of the businesses staged what amounts to a mini sidewalk sale, bringing what they could outside the whole idea behind having this block party was just pulling our community together, being able to see people have people visit. Also, obviously, it is helpful to have some income after six days of being closed completely. That's why we're here as a community. We're here to support our community and for our community to support us, even the kids are getting involved, literally a family affair. What are you going to do? Yeah. Very unpredictable.
