Erling Haaland scores his 11th Manchester City hat-trick - Can he get even better?

now to another stunning performance from earling Harland he made it backto back hattricks as defending Champions Manchester City beat West Ham 3-1 City fan no Gallagher was there to witness it as he managed to get a ticket for the game at the London Stadium I'll say no more than that um his 11th hattrick for City 24th of his professional career his numbers are ridiculous but I do think he's got a flaw and it is is because he's becoming predictable quite frankly he got one last week and he's getting one this week that's the only thing I can say about earling Holland it's ridiculous we need to know where he's putting all these balls that he's getting I think last last week when he got one this one had written on it I can't believe I'm having to write on another one of these again and they're getting B they're getting B signing he's got a room where it opens up an all the ball yeah they just fall out on him yeah one of those covers but yeah it's 69 and 70 now his his statistics are just ridiculous and I think the worrying thing and I think a lot of the papers have touched on this is that he just doesn't show any signs of slowing down and the three goals that he scored yesterday he's so cool and calm isn't he he's like yeah this is what I do I just put it in the top Corner no problem and I think last season Pep Guardiola spoke about him being a bit tired him having a few little niggles I mean he still took home the Golden Boot and the top scorer in the league as everyone expected but I think this season he's refreshed he went away he didn't go to the Euros he had loads of time on holiday he spent time with his dad chopping wood is what I read maybe that's really helped settle his mind but Guardiola said he's able to as well spend more time after training practicing learning more technique he needs practice yeah exactly this is a crazy graphic that you're seeing now isn't it look at that well we've just been looking at all these Graphics in the break and working out what they mean But whichever way you look at his statistics they're unbelievable aren't they 70 goals Eric C took 156 games to get 70 goals erling harland's taken just the 69 and look look at the ones beneath him as well Pier em aubameyang took 143 games to get to 69 goals it's just crazy statistics isn't it and and pep like I say pep warley is saying that he can only get better this season because he didn't have such a great season last time I love this idea of him chopping with during the summer like one of those Marvel origin movies yes he looks like he could do it with his hands though to be fair doesn't he exactly and he's got like his head sort of all just dripping down um okay you've got led a moment there haven't you got the image right there um pep talking about him it's interesting because it wasn't just his goals he was talking about but the all round contribution to the team and I was looking at when the guys were in commentary yesterday after 33 minutes he touched the ball seven times two of them were goals in the 35th minute he tracked back to stop a counter attack with Miguel Antonio down the left hand side it's his all round game that it's just improved so much his awareness as well because lots of people people did have that view of him that he's a fantastic finisher but if he's not scoring goals what else is he contributing to the team and I never could really get my head around that because the whole purpose of the sport is scoring goals and if you've got a killer like him in your team then why are you trying to pick holes but his Improvement reminds me of when Pep Guardiola arrived at Manchester City and he said that there were higher levels for Sergio Aguero to reach and was my customary Mexican wave of eyebrows because I I did think that how much more could one of the best strikers in the world improve but that's why he's the best coach in the world because he sees those areas where you might be complacent or where you could get to another level and he helps you to get there well he's going for his fourth goal as well I think that that shows his mentality and like you were just saying he got his hattick City had clearly won the game but as the game was playing out he was still TR trying to score again so that fits into that as well it's also we were talking at the break weren't we the fact that he never finds himself offside rarely does you know I think he's it's probably happen to him once or twice it's it's quite ridiculous how he his not to 60 is you know he's really quick isn't he absolutely he gets the he receives the ball on a half turn I'll be again I'll be real again I think there are one or two Strikers who really when he plays should be sitting in front of the television taking notes because he so seldom finds himself offside in promising position and people might say well he plays in a team where he gets fabulous ammunition yes but other players get ammunition just as good but the move breaks down because they go too soon and their timing isn't right whereas his is and when he talked yesterday about practicing in areas where he felt he could improve and all us was saying where do you need to improve they're the areas that's why he's so good um it's interesting for us as journalists because when you see someone that good so often every other week what do you write about them yeah how much more do you find to write about them there it's almost a challenge in itself but you know but but yeah um but the point is that he scored three different types of goal yesterday what more you exactly four yeah the but but the issue is what we have in this country is one of the best players in the world in playing site and so often in this league we got to go on social media to find the highlights of players who are doing the business in La Liga or in the uh the German league we've got one right here 24 years of age with so much football ahead of him we should enjoy him while we've got him in this country it's wonderful to watch live as well we we've been lucky enough to do that haven't we you and I and it's incredible just to watch him even off the ball um is it job done uh you know Manchester City and we're joking but it is quite terrifying for the those around them you they're looking in imperious form were only a few games in and they're top of the table and they're doing it aren't they yeah and arguably that I know harand gets all the plaudits but arguably their best player is rodri and he was uh back in the squad yesterday for the first time just to set the alarm bells ringing for everyone else about how much better Manchester City can get so I don't know over the last couple of Seasons we have maybe seen them have a bit of a slow start they've dropped a couple of early points where people might not have expected it so this time perfect record but I don't know I feel like we're far from job done I don't think we should sack at the Premier League off yet after three games but over to Arsenal I think to try and uh and Liverpool to be first to give him a big challenge this season [Music]
