hello hello hello Jr investigates come on in come on in we have a situation in Fort Meyers Florida going on right now a massive search is underway for a missing jogger an avid Runner her name is 21-year-old Ariel Valdez and she vanished leaving her home on the 28 Wednesday the 28th she left her house at about 6:30 p.m. and she was jogging she went out for a jog and she hasn't been seen or found since and Lee County Sheriffs along with the family of of her have been uh massively looking for her and there's a alerts all over the place and we're going to do our best on jlr investigates to put this information out um authorities the Lee County Sheriff's Office Southwest Florida put out a surveillance footage of um she was running uh towards the Edison Bridge which it's you know it's large body of water below um I'm a little concerned here about different scenarios of what happened here but she has not been found so come on in we're going to talk about 21-year-old Ariel Valdez b a l d s and uh her family's been speaking out there's Flyers out there's alerts out I'm going to share what's going on with this particular case here it looks like folks that citizens along with the uh Lee County Sheriff's Office are going to do a massive search uh tomorrow um it seems like the Lee County Sheriffs have continuously been doing searches the last couple days and it also seems like the family of her is kind of calling out the sheriff's a little bit so we'll share a little bit about that too so let's bring public awareness that's help find Ariel and uh bring her home so there is some flyers out I like using the missing and aware flyer um to you know because I think they put their Flyers together very very well this is the situation this is the situation now this is unfl um this is ongoing right now it's a fluid situation uh it says the Lee County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public assistance in Loc meaning missing 21-year-old endangered female so they they categorized it as an endangered female Ariel Valdez left her home at the 90th block of Mariana Avenue in North Fort Meers Florida on August 28 2024 at 6:30 p.m. to go for a run Ariel never returned home she was wearing a beige hoodie gym shorts and a black and white high top convers vers sneakers the image on the far right is from a traffic camera and shows her getting ready to jog over the Edison Bridge from nor uh North Fort Meers into Fort Meers this was at 650 p.m. on August 28th if you have any information on the whereabouts of Ariel please contact the Lee County Sheriff's Office 23947 1,000 and this is what they're talking about this footage here and I'm going to take I'm I'm going to take you to this footage here I'm going to take you to this footage here uh this is the Lee County Sheriff's Office and what they did is this is this is the footage that they're talking about she was last scene running but then it just stops here which is very interesting I I don't know why they don't continue to let the footage go to see if in fact she crossed over this Edison bridge but what they're saying is she left left her house 6:30 p.m. August 28th and this is the last known sighting of her right here at 6:50 p.m. she has not been seen now this is a large body of water this a pretty big bridge this is North Fort Meers takes you into Fort Meers I'll show you the map okay so what they put out Lee County Sheriff's the sheriff's office just put this out 22 hours ago they've made numerous posts since and uh yeah we need the footage pair C here I I don't know why did it just stop or did it Loop why did the footage stop with her right there look it just stops like right here it just stops that's it gone so why aren't they playing the why doesn't why don't they play The Continuous footage I I I don't understand that okay so they're saying Lee County Sheriff's detectives are continuing the search for missing Endangered Person Ariel Valdez Valdez is a Hispanic female 54 100b with brown hair and brown eyes detectives confirmed she left a residence August 28th on foot at approximately 6:37 p.m. to go for a run she was last seeing wearing a light colored hoodie sweatshirt gym shorts and what appears to be black and white convers so she was wearing running outfit new information do Department of Transportation footage review by Detective shows an avid R Runner traveling Southbound on US 41 from Pondel Road in North Fort Meyers by her neighborhood at 6:45 p.m. that evening so they have cameras in that area additional cameras captur the traveling her traveling southbound towards the Edison Bridge Edison bridge at approximately 6:50 p.m. detectives are seeking information from anyone who was traveling the aforementioned areas during these time frames to gather any information that may help them with this case Okay so this is the Edison Bridge so we're going to take I'm going to I'm going to show you exactly where she was seen so we're GNA we're going to zoom out a minute actually we're going to do this on layers Maps first I'm going to show you out for all the people that are watching from around the world on Jr investigates we're talking Southwest Florida uh here's the map so we're going to zoom in where is 21-year-old Miss Valdez where is she last scene about to run onto a bridge now this is Fort Meyers here this is North Fort Meers she left her home in North Fort Meers 6:30 traveling south and about 6:50 p.m. she seen about right here about to enter the Edison bridge and from that point it just stops now I have a lot of questions here did she fall in the water that's the very first question I'm sure you guys are wondering did she just fall in on the water and fall into the water because this water here is the it's hard to pronounce but it's a river and I think it eventually takes you out into the Gulf of Mexico yes it eventually takes you out into the Gulf of Mexico boom they had a big hurricane down here a lot of storm surge in this area a few years back um I'm very concerned here last scene right about here heading south on the Edison Bridge uh let's do here let just look here is the Edison bridge now this is on the Fort Meyer side the Edison Bridge actually what I'm going to do is I'm going to go onto the other side and go right here and see what we get here we're going to go right here and see what we get here so a little bit here is the southbound down the area so apparently she was seeing going down towards the bridge and was caught on a Department of Transportation and as you see it starts to become a Causeway and then here comes the bridge up here I'm assuming right here I'm assuming this is where she was seen this is the surveillance this is the footage I'm assuming she was seen right here and this goes back to we'll go back to the Facebook post you see this is where she was last seen why in the why in the world don't they continue why does it just stop here why do they stop it here why does it just stop why don't they Loop it through did she cross over did she fall into the woods did a car come over and hit her did someone come up and snatch her and kidnap her I mean it's extremely concerning so I believe it's the camera's right here and this is the area right here before you cross over that bridge and you can see to the right it's all this uh water and it just had her vanish Just Around Here 650 p.m. but it doesn't show anything else which is very strange which is very strange let's go back here you go is that the right Bridge or we right at the right spot I think we're right at the right spot right let's make sure we're at looks like the right spot to me there's that there's that 45 sign and if you look here there's that 45 sign looks like it's right there looks like it does that curve right let's look let's look on the map make sure we got that spot that curve stuff let's take it back around let's go up here a little bit spin it back around there's the curve there's the curve so she vanished somewhere around here last scene did she actually cross did she actually cross did she fall over trip did an alligator come out and then I'm just saying any scenarios it's just weird how do you just vanish like that why do they stop it why do they stop boom it stops right here why don't they let it keep going does it just because it just does it in Clips frames she was last seen running Southbound on 41 this is 41 this is the bridge we're right here where she vanished well where she hasn't been seen since I mean it's un did she turn around did she go across the road you see what I'm saying there's that there's there's what caught her on camera right there right there that's what caught her on surveillance I mean here's the railing you see now I will show you let me uh go back to uh Lee County Sheriff's they put this out 22 hours ago so let's go back up to Lee County Sheriffs this is Lee County Sheriffs right they're the ones that are investigating and they put this out here um here's here's information now we're back at the bridge look at this they posted this today they're back at the bridge today right where I showed you and it looks like they have a dog and they put earlier today detectives reviewed footage which ultimately LED them back to the bridge along the Edwards downtown area in addition to the Drone re relaunch taking place today we currently have our blood hounds on the ground to continue the efforts that began immediately on Wednesday night when we were contacted about the incident lcso Lee County Sheriff's Office is continuing communication with the family detectives are working around the clock to follow leads and utilize every resource to bring Ariel home safe here's the canine so it took them back to that bridge do they believe that she did not cross that bridge and what brought them back there today that last clip of her was seen about right here right before she crossed over the bridge now she's 21 years old she is an avid Runner she do I found a Facebook page of her let me go back here and get some other stuff because their family's actually speaking out too and also there's a a woman that's claiming they're going to do some I've seen some like um reports but only actually One Clip we also have breaking news about a North for Myers woman who vanished during a jog on Wednesday night the sheriff's office just released this short video clip from a traffic camera they say the right hand side of your screen there that is 21-year-old Ariel Valdez getting ready to jog over the Edison bridge from North Fort Meers to Fort Meers this was around 6:50 on Wednesday evening so more than 4 48 hours ago we spoke with valdez's sister and mother this morning she's never done anything like this ever this is so out of character for her she's such a good girl and um she's training for a marathon she's been running long distance so and she's been very skinny and not not eating as much so I'm hoping maybe She fainted somewhere and is going to wake up and come home here's a picture of Valdez she's about 5 400 lb if you were driving on the Edison Bridge around that time on Wednesday or know anything about what happened to her please call the Lee County Sheriff's office or Crim Stoppers little concerning what my concern is the theory my theory right now thus far and show me share with your theories um you know we can speculate a little bit if you were a law enforcement how what would you do here in this situation and I'm very um concerned about um I'm very concerned about uh the bridge um she's supposedly been training to run a marathon you know some people are very uh passionate about um running possibly eating disorders in a sense you know combined with the mix and maybe she actually you know was overdoing it or something like that and maybe was running across that bridge and fell off um that's what I'm thinking I haven't heard anything about boat searches or anything too um but then also her family has also said that she progressed on from that bridge and was last seen by a trail and then when I heard the trail aspect you know if she reached another park or a trail then I immediately my mind started thinking creep uh you know people out there Rachel Moren type situation or you know my mind started going off that route but um I'm thinking maybe the the the bridge aspect but her um this seems like to be her back in the day it looks like it looks like this is her and um because the reason why I say it's her is because this is a family member that has post be been posting a lot about the case I think she might have been on that news clip uh sister I believe and uh this is her but not much on it not much on it right nothing on it so if you click here and we go to the sister the sister has been posting a lot this is her sister um Isabella and Isabella has both been posting a lot of things for instance Isabella says we are coordinating another search in a different area of town moving down from TI to the McGregor area which is a route she has used in the past to run we should meet up at the Publix's at this residence 2160 McGregor Boulevard so she posted this one hour so it looks like they will uh I will be here at 6:00 pm today they're out there it's or 6:30 p.m. so it's 7:30 so it looks like she's out there passing out flyers and speaking to people in the area if anyone can please help with the search it would be greatly appreciated I have extra flyers and tape and we be walking down McGregor starting from this location thank you for the ongoing support to find our baby this is the most traumatizing thing that could ever happen to my family thank you all for letting us lean on our wonderful community of true kind people this is her she runs she's a runner an active Runner possibly training for a marathon and in this flyer here it says the same thing we have already repeated 6:30 left our house the 90th block of Marana Avenue in North Fort Meers Florida 645 camera spot her traveling Southbound on US 41 from Pondel Road and then 650 camer spot her continuing southbound towards the Edison Bridge I want to know this with as far as this Fort Meyers sheriff and the Department of Transportation why does the surveilance camera stop when she's right here why doesn't it continue you clearly have it going on and even if it what does it go off like for a minute every minute why do they have it stopping here boom right there it's just stops this is where she was last seen can someone answer that question it makes no sense whatsoever did they deliberately turn it off does it only do a certain amount of time that's what I would like to know now what I want to show you guys um in the feeds there's a woman here this woman here I guess she's a volunteer or something like that she puts out she put this out a few hours ago and I want to play this right here I want to play what she says we're going to turn up the Vol it's Christy thoron from for Beach Florida today I am posting this video because I really need your help there's a local girl here her name is Ariel Valdez and she lives in a neighborhood off of fondel um in Northport Meers she went missing um after she was jogging on Wednesday night and she left her home off of Marana way in Northport which is a a neighborhood off of pel and she was on camera running across the um Edison Bridge from there we're not sure we don't know um I don't know if the family's getting much help from law enforcement I think they're working on it I hope they're working on it but in the meantime we've organized a group of people from this community to go out and look for this girl please come out and help us to tomorrow we're meeting at the Centennial Park at 7:45 in the morning in downtown Fort Meyers and we're going to try to retrace her steps and see if we can find any clues any answers to her whereabouts please if you find any clothing like a beige hoodie um jogging shorts or uh black and white comers those are items that she was known to be wearing um and at one point I think there was even footage uh somebody said that she was barefoot on on footage in the chat said there's no way she could have passed out or you know uh she's a she's an active Runner and I you know it's very the only thing I could think of is under uh malnutritioned and maybe needed some sugar and or something like that now the sister just posted here on Facebook 2160 McGregor Boulevard that the sister is there looking for her passing out flyers that is right here that is right here so it's a shopping plaza just south of the bridge so she vanished she was lasting 650 right here and you see right here this is the area so um and then tomorrow what they said that woman that we just saw said she's going to be here at Centennial Park right here so the question is and I think we we actually did some hurricane footage there at Centennial Park with all those boats down in Fort Myers a couple years ago in that area um did she make it across did she make it across but if you click here and I just want to click at Centennial Park I want to I want to go to sentennial park here and see something here if you go on let me if you go in this area I want to see and here's the layers you know I'm wondering if there's surveillance cameras on the other side of these Bridges here that's what I want to know I want to know like what what are we looking at here and if there could be some sort of surveillance or any type of footage in this area but they're going to meet tomorrow so if you're in the area come out tomorrow 7:45 they said in this area and meet with volunteers if she's not found now somebody said in the chat that they put up an update we're going to see remember this is uh 21-year-old Ariel I want to see what the Fort Lee County uh sheriffs have said somebody said they put an update I'm going see yeah they did okay so we have an update let's see what they have so they're just basically see now now I think I think it's compelling the sheriffs to do something about it because the family and I'm going to show you in a second her family has kind of been calling out the sheriff's like yo you hav't been doing nothing for the last couple days now it seems like the sheriffs are are are pro putting out that they're looking for her so they just put this out N9 minutes ago our Aviation unit has been assisting detectives over the course of the investigation our team launched this afternoon to check areas of Interest the neighborhood in which Ariel left from the bridge she was last seen running on an adjacent waterways Ariel was last seen on the night of August 28th around 6:30 p.m. lcso is asking for anyone has information regarding the case to please contact 23947 71000 why are they saying why are they backtracking this back to 630 and not saying she was last seen on that camera at 650 why are they now saying she was last seen on the night around 6:30 why why aren't they saying anything about the cameras that's interesting cuz clearly she was last seing now this must be the neighborhood where she's from did she go here's the question too here's a question too did she go to the bridge the point of the bridge and instead of crossing over the bridge just decide to turn around now that could be a possibility too but why wouldn't authorities why wouldn't the cameras catch that but they are checking the waterways for her as you see so that's the area water surrounded by water now I want to I want to show you something because again here it says they're saying an update she was last seing at 6:30 p.m. however if you scroll down you scroll down to their post and we're going to look at this post in a minute too if you scroll down here they're saying that you was last seing at 650 on this bridge where she just vanishes here I don't understand that can someone explain that did she come here and here's another thing did she come here and decide to turn around and go back the other way sometimes people do that I let me let me tell you something I I I was a runner I was a very good runner I used to run six minute miles consistently was pretty good I don't have fast twitch but I was a pretty good long uh long distance Runner uh he used to do 10 Mile runs easy with ease all the time uh try to crack it in one hour it's hard but I've done it before um sometimes when you're running you go to like a distance a certain thing and you're like well I don't really want to go over the bridge or I don't you might get to a point you might stop and say okay I'm going to turn around and go back the other way apparently she's been training to run in a race I don't know I don't know this is her she's R she runs she runs so I know people in the chat were saying there's no way she could have passed out she's a runner but sometimes and some of the things I struggled with as a runner in my younger days as a runner was um nutrition and there was times where I wouldn't eat enough and there would be times that I would overrun and like I don't have any type of uh you know carbs on me or water and I literally start staggering a little bit even though I was in good shape sometimes you don't eat enough when you're when you're an avid Runner and you're running continuously you got to pump those calories in you but sometimes people have and I struggled with this when I was younger sometimes people feel like you know the lighter you are the faster you're going to be and we'll do Extreme Measures to lose weight and not get enough nutrition while running heavily now I'm not saying this is the case here I'm just saying they only said she was 100 PB is 100 PB so I I I don't know or are we just talking about a terrible accident or are we talking about something more Foul Play Foul Play involved somebody released this her family released this I guest scene here but also folks you know we're in a we're in a world her her sister released this by the way we're in a world you know where it's very I feel it's dangerous now everywhere to just run around on your own now apparently this is the area where she vanished apparently she lives up here and she does do these runs down Fort Meyers and runs back 17 runs so it seems like she lives up here in this area this is where she starts she made it to here and then she just vanished right by the bridge but she's posting as if she does these runs where she normally runs across the bridge runs all the way down here or vice versa I don't know why it's said here mile one mile one maybe I don't know but it seems like this is either whether it's this way or that way it seems like she does these long runs does she have a uh does she have a uh what are they called stas does she have an Apple Watch does she have any electronic does she have any Electronics on her little fanny pack maybe or something like that to be able to hold a phone any way to find digital Footprints to find her great question so sister's handing out flyers now I want to show you something here this is where it gets very very strange three hours ago the family her family has called out the sheriff's department three hours ago her sister tags the Lee County Sheriff's Office and says call me back and give me an update this is unbelievable your dogs traced her scent all the way to the Shady 71 7eleven on Fowler where is the footage someone could have taken her and she could be help she could be hurt please help what is what is the 7-Eleven on Fowler your dogs traced her traced it to Fowler the 7-Eleven down here so that's a significant distance now we're going to go back she said she said in this post your dogs traced her scent all the way to the Shady 7-Eleven on and Fowler now is there a 7-Eleven up here somewhere I don't know but she's saying the dogs traced her sent to Fowler 7-Eleven how many other fowers are there on 7 711s on Fowler I'm looking up I don't see any other ones what is going on here people why is her family saying that the dogs traced her to 7-Eleven Fowler why is she say why is she saying that can someone explain that to me now here's the 7-Eleven on Fowler if this is the right 7-Eleven by Chevrolet dealership surveillance J zoom into the bushes at the end of the video all right so we're gonna go back here a minute I want to show you something here we're going to go back to the Fort Myers Police Department or the the the the lead why did somebody say look into the bushes why does the video stop here right before the bridge but then the sister is saying your dog traced her sent all the way to the Shady 7-Eleven on Fowler which is it looks like this 711 here is on Fowler just south of the bridge Magnolia says it's three miles from the bridge did she come here to get a drink was she here what goes on in the neighborhood around here at the 7-Eleven right here unless there's another 7-Eleven but I'm going up Fowler here this is Fowler this is Fowler takes us all the way up Magnolia says it's three three miles to the bridge but you know she's a runner and she does those long runs here's the bridge so the surveillance had her last right here 650 p.m. M and you shoot down and you go down you keep going down here's Fowler did she continue to run I mean in between there got to be a lot of surveillance and then boom 711 three miles is nothing so this is what the sister's saying she posted or the family member I'm assuming it's a sister I believe it is three hour hours ago she also says here where is the footage our search parties will be more much more effective if we know the last known place my sister has been seen and she tags so the sister's having some beef here with the Sheriff's Office here's that footage she vanishes from there interesting why it vanishes search party she posts she post about a search party 10:30 a.m. today they were going to meet at Palm 3410 Palm Beach Boulevard let's just see where that was let's just see where that was just so we know where it was so tomorrow it looks like the search what's this right here where is this compare okay so apparently they had a search meeting there this is the LA this is where she was last I wonder I'm sorry right here make sure I get the right Bridges there's multiple Bridges here yeah Edison right there if you never been to Fort Myers there's multiple bridges that go across so I don't know what to think here I don't know what to think here is the Fort Myers police or Fort uh Fort uh Lee County I'm sure the Fort Myers police are also involved here because it's dealing is the Lee County Sheriff's Office telling the truth here and why do they take us back up to the bridge while at the same time her family is saying she went South look what the look what her family said again in another post 3 days and the police have not looked over any footage of cameras in the area to help us know where she may be by now do better Lee County Sheriff's Office the only time I felt any type of urgency from the police was to call me to tell me to delete my post I will not be silenced by anyone so apparently she's posting screenshots she had with the police department or with the with the sheriff's off I got to keep stop saying the police department the sheriff's office but you guys know what I mean it seems like a beef between her and Lee County Lee County Sheriffs have a lot of explaining to why it just vanishes here right here what in the world is going on here so what they're going to do tomorrow is a search might check out might not it's not far from me it's a few hours to the South uh jlr there if you look there's another 7-Eleven near Fowler and MLK south of the bridge Fowler and MLK all right so what we'll do what we'll do here is we're going to see if there's any other sels Fowler and MLK Fort Meyers you're right there is one closer see what I mean now this one would be a little bit more feasible here realistic thank you for correcting well there's a 7-Eleven that's even closer now let's get some clarification of what 711 it is this one's even closer to the bridge so would she be talking about this 7-eleven here or the one additionally down the road little bit more down the road which 7-Eleven my my take is now at this point it's probably this 7-Eleven but as I showed you that big tracking that she's done in the past it takes her all the way down in this area so I'm just wondering so we have to get clarification whether it's this 7-Eleven or people are saying this one here is this a more shady area a shady more shady 7-Eleven MLK where we at where's the 7-Eleven where we at Fowler and 7-Eleven I don't see a 7-Eleven there where's it at I'm at the corner where's the 7-Eleven where's the 7-Eleven right here street view ah right here coincidentally there's a police officer there no it's not it am I seeing here because I don't see the 7-Eleven I see an advanced auto part but I don't see a 7-Eleven so I think this is going to require some boots on the ground I think this is going to require some boots on the ground Magnolia ready to go on a road trip hopefully she's found like the family and her are on the same PL uh page it seems like they're both have conflicting information here one party saying it's further south of the bridge at a 7-Eleven undetermined which
