Intro Williams at Jets training camp. Jonathan Jones, CBS sports alongside New York Jets, do everything Quinnen Williams, Quinnen thank you so much for joining us. How so far has camp gone for you? I know you guys got to cancel practice. A little bit of a walkthrough today. How's camp been? Oh, it's been amazing, man. Just going through the, the workouts, going through the practices and stuff like that. Getting better every single day, going against a great offense, great offensive line. You got rebuild this year, man. Going against an amazing quarterback. Everybody know, so just iron sharpens iron every single day pushing each other to be great. Pushing each other to win the ultimate goal. So we're going to talk about that offensive line. We're going to talk about that quarterback. Because I'm contractually obligated to ask you about the quarterback, but you guys have the commanders coming in here for joint practices tomorrow. It feels to me a little bit like the dog days of training camp. Is it time now to finally hit somebody else? Every single day. I can only really speak for myself when it comes down to this, but every single day is a great day to get better. A great day to, to work on your craft. A great day to get better. So got another team coming in, man. Get a chance to go against some great guys on that staff. Great guys on that side. I know a few guys over there on that defense, Jonathan Allen and the run Payne and, Phil Mathis and those guys I know they was phenomenal football players also. So just to get a chance to another another thing the iron sharpens iron. So get a chance to go against some great, opponents that's in a different color. So you know, you're not supposed to fight out here. No I don't New offensive line fight. No, that's that's that's wasting energy. Yeah. All right, so let's talk about this new new look, revamped offensive line here with the Jets. You've been going up against him every day. What have you seen so far from this new look O-line? It's way different man. Yeah the growth in those guys. You got Joe Tippmann who's coming on his second year who's been unbelievable, who's growing and fine tuning his craft and different things like you got Avete, who always been an unbelievable, guard and, was dealing with past injuries and stuff like that. Now he's fully healthy and, ready to go. You got a great offensive guard I've been going against every single day. John Simpson, a guy who's had unbelievable, resume. When it come down to the places he came from. And just now, today, I'm just super blessed to have him. Then you got two Hall of Fame tackles out there, man. You got Tyron Smith and then Morgan Moses. Amazing. I believe, high caliber, offensive tackle also. So they're they're gelling Double teams together. They're working together. And you can see them getting better every single day. So Quentin, I don't know that there was anybody last year. I don't know that there's anybody in the NFL that's as good as you are at handling double teams and still getting to pressure the quarterback with double teams. I believe there's a stat out there that you led the league in pressures when double team. What's the secret? Give us a secret sauce. What's a lot of Chris Jones and Dexter Lawrence fam? So yeah that's the biggest thing man. Those two guys man. Been unbelievable in the year man. Just watching their film. Just seeing the double teams that they get Aaron Donald film the double teams that he get. And just learning man just taking coaching from my coach. He's been doing an amazing job. Coach white been doing an amazing job just helping me out, giving me tools, giving me hints Watching film here and there every single day. Man. So, those three things helped me out a lot when you were watching film in the season and you're preparing for your next opponent, how much of that week is watching film of your next opponent, and how much is making sure that you get the cut ups of the Chris Joneses and the Aaron Donald's and the Dexter Lawrence's? Oh, I get those first, I watch those cut ups first, man, before I even go into the game film of that team, I get the cut ups of the Chris Jones, the Aaron Donald's, the Dexter Lawrence. If they played against this player, they played against this team. And I watch those first man, then I go into, okay, what I need to do for the scheme, what I need to do for Taking pride in the defense that. So and then let me ask you this last year, you guys had, in a number of categories, the best defense in the entire NFL. Obviously the record and the expectations. And what you all wanted was not there were you still able to take pride in what you all as a defense, were able to do? Oh for sure. Not that as a defense, but as a team in general. Yeah. You had, Aaron go down. Yeah. We had different, obstacles we had to cross and different things like that. But at the end of the day, we all put our helmets on to go win a Super Bowl and not just win a Super Bowl, but just do the things that week in and week out and win football games, every single day. It wasn't how we wanted to be. It wasn't how we planned out to be. But we did stack days and got better every single day. So you look at a great defense now, and see the things that we got to accomplish now and to see the things that we got to go at, the sky's the Best Aaron Rogers story limit for us now. So sky's the limit, Aaron Rodgers, I promised you I was going to ask you about him. And so lastly, what is your best Aaron Rodgers story, my best Aaron Rodgers story. Well, I got a story where I. All right, he's a walking book. So it's like every single day I'm just super excited to have him on the team against, to go against him in practice and stuff and things like that. I don't have a really particular story about him like that, but, he's a phenomenal teammate, phenomenal person man. Amazing. Amazing guy on the field and off the field. So having him on the team has been unbelievable for not just personally myself but the
