good morning everyone it's me Jordan Thomas reporting live from Elizabeth um in this video I will be talking about the New York Mets big win yesterday and sorry everyone I haven't been posting as much I want to say happy well I just want to first before I talk about this game yesterday in Toronto I just want to pay homage to all the Fallen Soldiers of 9/11 yesterday was the 23rd anniversary of that brutal of the attack of the Twin Towers where it changed a lot of people life for the worst and a lot of people was Gunn down and kill a lot of people got sick off of that so I just want to pay homage now to talk about the Mets game that was our biggest win of the Year up to date like that was a much needed win because if we would have lost yesterday we would have lost this series and and Brandon F Brandon Ferris was pitching really well like we had no hit through eight Innings and I was extremely worried that like we was going to give away the game but it got to the ninth inning he was three outs away from a complete game shut out and Lindor who's been money all year um he's definitely in the MVP conversation he took one big swing and it tied the game he hit a Big Time home run that was a much needed home run because it not only took away the no hitter it tied the game and after that the Mets finally Mets offense finally woke up after nine inning I mean after eight Innings which they really needed to cuz they couldn't afford to lose that game yesterday so after Lindor ties the game we have the Mets issue the Toronto Blue Jays come in and issues a walk to Vientos a walk to Marte and nmo took a walk so Bas is loaded with nobody out and Pete Alonzo comes up with a Chance Bas is loaded nobody out and this is a big spot for him because he's been really struggling with runners in scoring position this year and he hit he did what he needed to do he got a sack fly to get that Runner home from third so it's two one Mets and then after that FR after that Alvarez no the glacius that hit another sack fly to bring the runner home for third to give the Mets a three-run lead so now you're feeling good and then Alvarez comes up with first and second nobody out and he gets a fast ball down the middle and he absolutely crushes the ball to Center for a three-run home run to add some insurance and the Mets at that point is up 6 to one in the ninth inning and then we go to the bottom of the knife with only three outs needed to get at first danic couldn't retire think he got two outs but he couldn't get the other so Carlos Mendoza brings in DS all of a sudden to get one out he only needs one out and on the first pitch DS Drew he gets a Fly ball to Center and it's caught and that ends the game and the Met game a much needed win CU that's their 80th win of the Year yesterday the Mets are now 80 and 66 before the season started I thought that the Mets will win 80 between 80 and 85 wins and be a wild card team but they already reached 80 wins already and it's pretty amazing to think about another thing that makes that win so important is Atlanta lost to Washington yesterday so that means the Mets gained the game on the Atlanta brav so right now they're a game ahead of Atlanta for the third wild card spot with 16 left to play the Mets got to keep winning series and also the they needed that Series in Toronto because they're facing they have a tough Series against the T the Philadelphia Phillies we have three in Philadelphia coming up this weekend starting Friday and then we have four four against them at City Field so the next seven of 10 games are against the Philadelphia Phillies so these are really huge games we got to win these games because it is crunch time now after this series against the Phillies we would only have we only have one home stand remaining and then then after the one hom stand then we have the road then we have the road trip coming up the final road trip of the year we play Atlanta for three and we play Milwaukee the last three games of the year so this is a m a really crucial stretch coming up for the Mets and they just got to keep winning honestly got to win Series this series in Philly got to win at least two out of three it I mean a sweep would be bonus but winning two out of three is huge this series but anyway I just want to say I'm really excited about the Mets and where they are and what they've done this year this has been just a magical season so far you I just want to say hopefully everyone has a good weekend thanks for listening to my videos it is me Jordan Thomas saying have a good afternoon everyone
