Day 4 PORT DAY: Princess Cruises SKY PRINCESS Soulac Sur Mer - April 2024

morning everyone welcome back to our Channel today is Friday the 12th of April I can't believe I'm saying that it's gone so quick we've only got three full days left on this beautiful ship we have arrived in the port of Lon if we're a little bit croaky and tired this morning it's because they did an emergency drill but I slept like a baby for the first time I think it's because we've been going to bed really late and getting up early we've been burning the candle at both hands but today I've woke up fresh as a daisy hair needs a wash again so we just pulled it back but tonight we have got a very very exciting itinery again but before we get into this amazing Vlog cue the intro hello my name is Sue you might know me better as Marlene and I just want to say welcome to Holiday with the headers something in the air always something in the air in explicable I can feel it in the air can you feel [Music] me can you feel me [Music] can you feel [Music] me hi everyone it's a yes we have arrived in Leon which is in France if you didn't know it is just a short drive I think from Bordeaux that was the area that I thought we were going to that's what it said on or itinery but it said in Brackets Leon so I'm just going to show you the map so you can have an idea of where we are so I believe Wayne shows you every morning on our TV screen where we are so today is Friday April 12th and it's currently 10:39 so we've got around 50 minutes and we can have breakfast before we get off this ship but as you can see we started off in Southampton we came all the way down to araruna then we were in bilbow and now we are in this area of France which is called L Veron and then we will go around to cherborg which I think is the most part that I've been excited about the most sorry I can't get my words out today and then we will go overnight back to Southampton on Sunday which we will not talk about um we are so excited we love France there is a stigma with it about the French people but I absolutely love France we're only in France about 3 weeks ago and I'm very excited to be back they are our neighbors and I cannot wait to get off the ship and experience some French cuisine speak to the French people and see lots of French dogs and speak my really bad French language again but let's go to breakfast because we are starving so what have we got here today then breakfast burrito yep um and all the same as last time so egg but I've got hash brown fried toast English bacon sausage English bacon and American bacon is that apple juice yes they got a nice selection up there again yeah or was it all the same as it has pretty much the same they would I didn't see them before well breakfast no I didn't see the breakfast bre but yeah but we've got a nice view right by the window right I'm going to go and get mine yeah I'm going to one up this one I'm probably going to go and get a brew first and bring it back okay and then I'll go and get some food I have a bre just asking you well I'll go and get breakfast and then you see if you can ask them to get us a brew yeah yeah right well anyway enjoy yeah yes good boy one Brew for her lady ship and one Brew for me got you well train right go and get your breakfast you've got two plates yes I'll explain a minut I've got two BS of bacon two sausages hash brown scrambled egg and toast fried bread now when I was getting that I saw an omelette SL shink okay that I didn't know existed ah so I've ordered an omelette I'll go back in about 5 minutes can you I don't know if you see that regular omelette bacon cheese and onion I've 5 minutes that's good to so what I'm going to do this over plate put it on top keep that Co keep that warm when I'm get my clever clever clever you'll be happy to know with got data brilliant let's have a look ooh lovely all right you going to talk into that so I think we'll be getting on a coach of some [Music] sort yeah shuttle to the center everyone says shuttle to the center so we have to do that then even if we have to pay for it we'll have to do it cuz otherwise what we're going to see is this car [Music] park oh chilly in the shade isn't [Music] it yeah it's got out where we are actually but this is sulak yeah um and this gives us like a little bit of History into some H so so when we got off the ship we was told that the buses and coaches are free and that was pretty obvious really because we was in the middle of nowhere wasn't we it took about what 20 minutes to get here uh all through nice Countryside some stunning houses I did pick up some of it on camera but it was beautiful wasn't it and the weather's gorgeous as well and we are at La Plage yeah near the beach yes but as you can probably see behind J Ed there is a church that I want to go and check out it hasn't got to be now but at some point want to check it out let just go and do it now you want to do it now okay Y and then we can go to the bonger there's a map on here and everything yeah maybe later on we can get like a French pastry and a drink or something yeah maybe definitely yeah yes but the queue to get back on the sh uh back on the coach yeah as you can see it's massive but yeah we'll check out all this lot after we've checked out what is that Coville oh let's go and check out the church or Cathedral or an old building nraam that's what it's [Music] called oh wow it's beautiful for have we got two 50 so I can light a candle yes good I'm going to do that in a minute okay so this is for this is for my mom my dad anyone that I've lost myself family and anyone that's lost your side the family and not yeah your side the family yeah so otherwise if we let every candle for every family member di too many we be pay about 50 W we so yeah this is represents going it looks like they built up area and I heard a family say earlier 6 minute walk to the the Plage yes the beach so we've just left the Basilica uh Jess is going to go and find out how frequent the coaches are and times but as you can see there's two there and there's another two here coming around the corner so as you can see the coaches here are quite frequent so you haven't got to worry about missing the coach to go back there's always seems to be a coach here waiting to take you back on board so the last one is 4:30 but they're just going to keep resending them so there's no time scales it's just the last one is at 4:30 get back so yeah so we don't want to get the last one back do we just in case something happens so we get like the maybe the third from last or something yeah yeah right should we go now explore yes [Music] oh wow it again so we're just about to enter the the main strip and just now I've discovered someone has lost their watch so it is here I know by the time this goes out it's going to be no good to you but just to let you know someone has found it and put it on this pole here uh I don't want to touch it in case someone has left it there for a reason but it's outside the shop on rout de la Plage have another problem what problem is this the church another church oh I need to go and see this one now no it's not yeah it's a town hall but looks it nice I don't mind that one nice actually but we'll have a look won't we because I don't want just go to the first couple of see I want to shop around a bit [Laughter] first no he said you just come to the shops with no intention of buying anything you just quite T I've even bought something for the dog I wasn't listening it's probably picked up on camera bought something for the dog yeah but we normally Buy St for trvy don't we oh look at this place it's got the pran tables and chairs oh [Music] oh [Music] wow it's beautiful is it absolutely fantastic place so happy we came here now clean oh there's a sign over there saying # go yeah this place is just like it's like it's been made for tourist I don't know it's just heaven so far this is my favorite place oh my gosh yeah mine too I love today I love I love every I go is beautiful every time we've got off on this trip I've loved it but so far this is my favorite place oh that yeah imine come here every other weekend just it's real sand as well I think this is one of the most prettiest beaches been [Music] once again I found the stick this time it looks so much neater you need to put a name out there I think you should write follow on Instagram it's neater isn't it so up there all I could see was those big trucks coming past and FL he's going to get hit by that they go at some speed don't they they are do speed oh my God Tide's coming in isn't it uh I guess so yeah it's going to come all the way up there probably yeah yeah look oh beautiful here absolutely gorgeous it's probably one of the best beaches I've been to and I'm not and for the benefit people back home I'm not a beach person am I I don't like the beach I don't like the sea I don't like the sand I can't stand the sun I don't like sun cream I get ratty in the Sun but everything is perfect the sand is perfect the water is perfect it's hot but not that hot where you get irritable you know it's bearable everything is just lovely yeah I I see where you're coming from weekend yeah I see where you're coming from yeah I think this is a I don't want to say it to one of my favorite places in the world is it it's just beautiful I don't think I've ever been to a beach this clean no I now they're cleaning it yeah I agree I think it's probably the best beach I've came to we've been to some amazing or best beach I've come to sorry we've been to some Caribbean islands the most beautiful beaches in the world but for your Beach I think this is the best one I've been to yeah I think so and I've been to some really nice beaches in Spain and yeah turkey as well we went to a beach in Turkey we had oh no Bulgaria we was in Bulgaria yeah oh no we did we went to the blue the Lagoon yeah this is beautiful yeah it's not it's cold but it's not like Freez yeah I put my hand in off cam earlier did you yeah $199 in the far this is the perfect ex yeah that's true should just strip up roll around in it I've got no problem with that but maybe people back home will you can't see a drink yeah and ice cream maybe glass of wine yeah and you can sit in that like C and style place right everyone we're going to spend say 10 minutes here on the beach just on our own without the camera so we'll see you when we're walking back up onto the strip yeah it's in about 5 hours time cuz it's going to be uphill and hard yeah it's going to be quite it's quite a steep one isn't it yeah it's not so bad walking down it's quite a gradual inkl is it but going back up it might be a bit different sand yeah but yeah we're going to spend say five or 10 minutes just on our own here away from the camera and then we'll check in with you when we're walking back up cuz we're going to find a Bar for a beer I want some hot donuts you want to go shopping for that jumper don't you I don't know I might leave it I've got enough clothing yeah I've got so much all right folks we'll see you soon so we've just spent about 10 15 minutes just enjoying each other's company and enjoying the beach uh we're now making our way back we've come past I don't know who's written this but someone I don't know who but someone's written follow us with a big Arrow and that at holiday with the he I'm not sure who they are but maybe you should check them out I'm going to definitely check them out right I think the plan now is we're going to try and get a nice beer somewhere and maybe an ice cream and I want to get some hot donuts so that's the plan oh and I also need a um maget a magnet yes should we see we can get a menu see if there's a menu wait don't have a c just oh no we want to drink yeah more expensive here it's not but I just can't see beer on the menu oh yeah Pine five yeah sheap here yeah so you want to sit [Music] inside we can go and sit inside if you want you happy you happy here we have come to lyette tunes and I'm just showing you the price now of all the dream and if my wonderful assistant can turn the menu [Music] over they don't do food do they but we're not hungry are we we're not looking for food orang has going to taste so and if anyone's interested the beach is literally just down there it's literally 5 minute walk from the sand isn't it if that this back right we're going to enjoy this aren't we y i splashed out today and got an $8 8 beer did you 8 beer I splashed out yeah why not we're on holiday the eyeliner for beer is eight and Jessica's Orangina was 420 so it' be a grand total of20 wow bit expensive but I don't mind one holiday yeah this is going down a treat and that is going down a treat as well so enjoy so originally we were sitting on that table but it's in the full sun and a fly kept attacking us so we've moved to the shade here where it's a lot cooler and it's still attacking us and it's still attacking us yeah but at least it's cooler it's cuz you got a white top on maybe I don't know I am that doesn't help that sweet orange soda that doesn't help that runs in my glass is going to have a death he on his jump now he's got two of them so Jessica and I have just left the bar Lunes we've just taken a short walk to Spa because we want to get my brother back home who's looking after our cat some treats but unfortunately this Supermarket is sh so sorry Matt it looks like you won't be getting any treats from this place [Music] [Music] I think you should get happy that one yep I'll Gra that ice cream take that yeah so I'm not going to get an ice cream cuz at the moment the machine's not working so I'm going to wait until 10 minutes until the soft skir until the Mr whippy works I'm going it's still quite early do you want to go and explore the back of the ship qu p 4 yeah depends what time you want to get out I'm not sure but you want to go explore the back of ship so I've been the back of the ship without the camera but you haven't with either have you you've not done it full stop so should we go explore the back yep deal right enjoy anyway you open that for yeah I was I'm getting ready myself I another and then we're going to be in princess live pretty much all night aren't we cuz there around 11:00 there's a quiz there's a game show and there's another quiz isn't there 80s quiz so we're going to be in there pretty much all night didn't we and then we're going to go to DJ Lee in the Vista yes but let's go and show everyone the back of the ship I've been on this days yeah so much quieter and nicer yeah oh see there's the O pool I don't if it's a bigger one but oh my God I'm so staying here tomorrow it's a lot quieter around the back isn't it tomorrow yeah you sure oh my God so much more peaceful you're actually going in the water tomorrow then yeah there's a bar and everything we can go done if you want yeah maybe not with the camera though oh and just to let you know the jogging track which obviously you can see there if you do seven L laps seven laps at equals 1 mile as you can see we've made it back to the room now we had a little wander around the back of the ship Jessica particularly likes the adult pool so she might be checking it out tomorrow the time is currently 5:27 and I believe we'll be leaving Port around about 6:00 so we' both come down here around about4 2 10 to6 I'm going to go back up to deck 16 and film the sailway uh and leave Jesse get ready then I'm going to come back chill for a bit then I might go to the buffet for some food leave Jess in here to get ready then I'll come back shower and get ready and then we're going to be spending most of our night in princess live because we got a quiz and then we've got a game show and then we've got another quiz and I think that's it until around about 11:15 and then we'll go to the Vista lounge and listen to DJ Lee or we might sit in the uh Piaza and listen to whatever's going on there because that seems to be the booming place to be in the in the um evenings uh but I think that's everything i' got to say is there anything you want to say no then I've been walking around with a massive hole in me top cuz Trevor's clawed it oh okay I need to stop picking the little Scamp up over my shoulder yeah his sharp claws I need to get all this sand off my feet I need a shower I'm not having my hair up tonight I'm wearing it down I just need a whole revamp and you're not going for dinner tonight are you oh God no I couldn't think of anything worse I've eaten and eaten and eaten I need a break I mean I'm sure if we get peckish later we can go to internet get a dessert International calf can't we later on we can get a dessert while watching the shows and stuff right you have to go now because Jessica is going to be going in the shower and I need to chill out for a bit so we'll see you later folks oh there was a change of plan and the lady who meant to be watching in the main theater isn't performing anymore we wasn't going to watch her anyway was we I was potentially going to go and watch her um I don't know why maybe she's poly I don't know but if you are poly then wish you well yeah but we're spending most of the night in princess live and then we're going to go and watch the80s party in the P then end the night with DJ Lee potentially because it's a SE day tomorrow there's no urgency for us to get up so we can have a late one if we wanted to we're not getting up for breakfast tomorrow but I'm saying because we've got no need to get up tomorrow early we can have a later one tonight can't we yes right anyway folks see you soon so I couldn't be bothered to go back up to top deck and film sailway so I thought it'd be easy if I just put that was beautiful next on to Sher Borg so as you can see we're all dressed Jessica is just finishing off in the bathroom and she should be joining me I've just got a t-shirt and shorts on today quite a smart t-shirt and smart shorts again I can't really be bothered with jeans Jessica is just finished off getting ready and then we're going to go to princess live for I might as well turn you around actually rather than showing you the mirror yeah so I'm just waiting for Jess now as you can see how red I am now when I've got white jumper on or white t-shirt on the redness shows really bad and my arms I look like a drumstick Lolly just said um so yeah so we're going to go to princess live in a minute we should be down there for about 20 to uh 20 to 8 no what time is it now Jess I haven't got close um I don't know what time it is now it must be getting on for about yeah it be about 228 we should get down there for cuz I last looked at my watch about 7:15 so we'll get down there for about 20 to8 the show or the quiz sorry will start about 8 and then we're going to be in there pretty much all night until we about 11:00 and then we're going to go to the Piaza to see what's going on out there wait will let me do car and then we'll go to the vs to to listen to some tunes with um DJ Lee but the last couple of nights uh Vista as a nightclub's been quite quiet there's not many people been in there's not many people being in there feel sorry for the yeah so there's only a few people but it's all happening in the uh Piaza in the main Atrium there seems to be a lot more people out there listening to music and stuff and chatting and you know mingling so I don't know where we're going to go tonight we I think there will be people in there maybe CU it's a SE day and they've got karaoke in there maybe yeah maybe we'll see but we we'll be in princess live for most of the night and then we'll go to we'll flip between Piaza and Vistas and see which is you know more um busiest and then we'll stay there for a bit but like I said because it's a SE Day tomorrow there is no rush for us to get up so we can have a few drinks tonight which I think we will do and just enjoy the night might be a late one tonight but that's all we'll next see you hopefully in the princess live hopefully winning at the what is the quiz oh I don't know we're doing three we no we've got two quizzes in a game show haven't we eventally yeah I can't remember what the quiz is one's an 80s trivia one is it a flag quiz it is isn't it yeah we're not doing that one we're not oh don't know well the bed he's made her a friend an animal if you're if you're new to our Channel we're not weirdos who like stuffed animals she is Mrs snuggles she Mrs snuggles are mascot but she also serves a purpose I put her in the microwave and she helps with my aeges and paints she comes everywhere with me and I mean not like everywhere not to a or something not to like my mom's if I go from the week if you're in hospital I go abroad or Hospital there two places shees but they're room sted do you think you think she' got a kid I don't know a little a sheep it's not a sheep it's a sheep I don't know what it is but it's cute though anyway I even have a drink is that Mrs snuggles his friend it isn't it so right this is where you do the honors in the Vlog yeah you can hold the camera while I do it you sure yeah okay so we had a lovely day I'm not going to fill you in about what we've done this evening I'll do that tomorrow cuz we've got a full day on the ship tomorrow so I'll give you a little bit of a catchup tomorrow morning sounds like your voice is going as well it is and I can't speak too much my fruit is sore I've been singing and dancing I had the best time ever um but I'm starting to lose my voice and I'm I don't think I'm going to be able to sing which I've had a lot of people coming up to me where asking where I've been they had two karaoke tonight one at 5 I'm one at around 8:00 p.m. it feels like I've got sharp knives in my throat but I've been screaming at the top of my Long's dance and I had so much you've probably seen but my voice is going um and I want to savor my voice because I really want to sing Tennessee whiskey because I've met a lot of people from Nashville on board and Indiana and Tennessee and Tenn Nashville's in and Tennesse um and I I've got big shoes to fil so I need to save this for it's maybe a little bit raspy cuz I'll sound like Chris ston but on that note we've had an amazing evening I will fill you in properly tomorrow with what we did I know we usually do it tonight but we're both very tired and we want to enjoy this bed and have breakfast so we probably won't see you properly now until we're up and dressed yeah tomorrow because it's um a sea day and there's no urge rting get up we' decided to order room service breakfast haven't we which is free of charge yeah it's a good job Wayne didn't film tonight because he's got on his face but yeah honestly this ship is amazing we've been on over cruise ships before and people do talk with this one it's like a two-way stet everyone's been communicating with each other and it's been so lovely I've been salsa dancing with people tonight it's been amazing but if you really want to book a cruise ship that's very very community based it was so nice I will say one thing we were dancing to Caribbean African Nigerian music we were dancing to an artist called Rema um you probably know his song called calm down and I it was amazing there was Chinese people Japanese people Nigerian people Spanish people and we were all just dancing together to this African beat and it was just amazing which is what life should be so if you're looking for a trip and you want to meet people from all over the world you're not going to be judged for your color of your skin where you're from how you speak how you look how you dress there's gols on board the ship there's people who like different things and everyone is just getting on with each other and it's a lovely community so if you're looking for a ship where no one judges you come on princess Cruisers but on that note it's good night
