Jay-Z may have just completely ruined his legacy you'reall not going to believe what's going on behind the scenes now we all know that Kendrick Lamar is going to tear up that Super Bowl Halftime stage in New Orleans that's without question but the real story ain't about Kendrick at all nah it's about Jay-Z Lil Wayne Birdman and some serious behind the scenes drama that left Wayne out of arguably the biggest stage of his life and is in his hometown all of this is tied to Jay-Z's Bad Business relationship with Birdman now we got to start by talking about that almost deal between Jay-Z and Lil Wayne back when Jay was running Rockefeller records and looking to make major moves he almost signed Lil Wayne to Rock Nation Wayne was killing the game back then and Jay saw the potential but Jay-Z being who he is didn't want to step on nobody's toes especially Birdman's he and Birdman had that respect thing going on so Jay decided to give Birdman a heads up before moving forward with the deal but you won't believe how that went down during the interview with The Breakfast Club Jay-Z opened up about it Jay said I had a relationship with baby so I felt it was only right to call him I called him out of respect like yo I was talking to Wayne I was just letting you know so after that I think we received a letter at our office for like torturous interference and I was like whoa and it just all went from there but you know I would rather lose that situation and do the right thing than the opposite I think I could have just signed him and then told them after but you know I did the right thing and I'm cool with that did y'all catch that Jay tried to do things the right way but instead of just letting it slide Birdman hit him with a legal letter that torturous interference claim hit Rock Nation like a ton of bricks and the whole deal fell apart from there now Jay-Z chose to walk away from s and Wayne but that choice didn't come without consequences fast forward to today Kens Lamar was announced as the Super Bowl 59 halftime performer and many people are heated I'm talking about Nicki Minaj Master P and especially Birdman people were asking how in the world do you not choose Little Wayne to perform at the Super Bowl in New Orleans this is Wayne City he's reped New Orleans from day one and somehow he didn't get denied Birdman had a lot to say about this and y'all know Birdman don't hold back he took the x formerly known as Twitter and he threw shots at Jay-Z Birdman said these nword P I'mma make these nword respect us on glattus and then in another post Birdman said hating s for real real now I don't know about y'all but this whole thing seems like more than just a random Choice it's starting to look like Jay-Z had a major hand in this decision and Birdman wasn't the only one Throwing Shade Nicki Minaj was quick to throw shots at Jay-Z to she ain't Hold Back at all y'all Nicki said one N word took a knee the other N word took the bag how you going to get you ends in line every effing time got everything in the world still spiteful and evil disgusting be happy abag go be effing happy N word in rap business in women business when you got the politicians in the police you good though plus that ugly laughy Taffy alien we Nicki a have to do Jay-Z like that y'all that's some real heat right there so basically Nicki is calling out Jay-Z for taking the NFL deal instead of standing with Colin Kaepernick but the wildest part is when she straight up accus Jay-Z of using his beef with Birdman to punish Lil Wayne Nicki wasn't playing y'all she's making it clear that this wasn't about Talent this was about ego Jay-Z is still holding on to that old beef with Birdman and it's Wayne who's paying the price now let's take a step back and look at why this all went down y'all remember that Infamous beef between Jay-Z and Lil Wayne right it's deeper than just music it's about money respect and a whole lot of personal drama back in 2009 Birdman kicked it all off by claiming that Lil Wayne made more money than Jay-Z that got under Jay's skin real quick the two started throwing shots at each other on tracks like ham and it's good even though they squashed the beef in public there's still some unresolved tension I mean Wayne even said Jay-Z helped him pay off an $8 million tax bill so clearly there's some mutual respect but when it comes to business and public perception that old beef still lingers Camron even weighed in on this situation recently and y'all know how cam do he called out Jay-Z directly for keeping Wayne off the Super Bowl stage on him and Meson Sports Talk Show it is what it is Camron said listen I love Kendrick Lamar I love the pop out I think he's one of the top artists of this generation period hate the selection it's in New Orleans and you don't get Lil Wayne that's what we doing you don't get Lil Wayne in New Orleans for the Super Bowl it's no reason why Lil Wayne should not be performing at the Super Bowl cim didn't stopped there though he pointed fingers directly at Jay-Z for blocking Lil Wayne from the show Cam said Lil Wayne had a with somebody before who's kind of part of the organization running it this is payback Cameron's talking about Jay-Z's role as the NFL's live music entertainment strategist Jay's been organizing these halftime shows since 20120 so if Wayne's not on that stage you know it's more than likely because of Jay-Z the craziest part about all this is that Lou Wayne really wanted to perform at the Super Bowl he's been open about it saying it's a dream of his especially since it's in New Orleans but nope Jay-Z made sure that wasn't happening Kendrick got Den n and it's left a lot of people scratching their heads and here's the thing this whole Super Bowl situation is just the latest chapter in a long history of drama between Jay-Z Lil Wayne and Birdman y'all remember when Birdman sued Jay-Z and title for $50 million over streaming Lil Wayne's free reezy album yeah lawsuit didn't go anywhere but it was just another example of how messy things got between these two camps Birdman was heated when Title Dro Wayne's album during the middle of their beef even though the lawsuit got dismissed that tension never really went away now y'all know how this works when there's bad blood it affects everything and I'm willing to bet that Jay-Z still has some hard feelings about all that mess with Birdman so when the opportunity came to put someone on the biggest St in the world Jay-Z had a choice Wayne or Kendrick and we all saw how that played out Birdman ain't happy about it Nicki's mad and even Cameron's calling out Jay-Z it's looking like this Super Bowl decision might reignite some Old Flames between Jay-Z and Lil Wayne but y'all know how this goes in the world of Hip Hop business moves like this always got some personal undertones Jay-Z's got the power he used it to keep Lil Wayne off that Super Bowl stage but hey that's just my take on it what do y'all think about this should Lil Wayne headlin the Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans or was Kendrick Lamar the right choice and do you think Jay-Z's Legacy was ruined with this decision personally I think Jay-Z is going to have to work overtime to save his legacy after this one a lot of people didn't like Jay-Z already because they felt that Jay-Z was kind of sneaky this decision takes that this stay over the top and yeah I know I know Jay-Z was not the only deciding factor in this decision however Jay-Z is a smart dude he knew how this decision would make him look denying Lil Wayne the chance to perform at the Super Bowl in New Orleans that just looks crazy I think Jay-Z should have done everything in his power to make sure Lil Wayne had that Super Bowl stage instead Jay-Z doubled down on his decision by saying Kendrick Lamar are truly once in a gener generation artist and performer his deep love for hip-hop and culture informs his artistic Vision he has an unparalleled ability to defin and influenc culture globally Kendrick's work transcends music and his impact will be felt for years to come while that statement may be true it still doesn't excuse choosing Kendrick Lamar Over Lil Wayne to perform in New Orleans let's keep an eye on this one y'all this ain't over Wayne might be silent now but something tells me this drama is just heating up that's just my opinion though I could be wrong Food For Thought peace
