uh I think I think we just played hard and that was the goal um not a lot of film to work on this year coming straight out of training camp first game of the year uh and that's that's what we knew we can control is how hard we as a defense we can play and uh there were definitely some mistakes here and there clean up some tackling few few spots alignment and uh you know stuff that we'll work on this week but overall I thought the guys really battled and uh that's that's kind of all we asked of us of uh the defense today first game Friday just Friday I asked you about having a new DC and what the feel was but after having one game in the bag is there a different feel that that you would feel from last year um yeah I mean it's one game we don't want to get carried away um big game next week and the week after and the week after but yeah I mean it felt great I felt like he was making the right calls at the right time uh you know I came up to him and suggested some plays is actually the one I got the sack on on one of them so we were kind of uh working working together um yeah he's he's an easy guy to trust uh you know everybody on the defense he I'm happy with the entire staff that we brought in and like I said it's only week one but uh we're we're definitely feeling better than if we lost you can you remember a time where the r defense has looked this good oh man um year nine this they all start running together a little bit but uh you know I'm just we'll watch the film I'm just happy we we did a really good job and um again it's only one week we'll see if we could keep it going
