one right okay today we are continuing our reading through the Book of Ezekiel and we're going to do 44 and 45 and then in the next reading we're going to wrap it up and then we're going to get into Joel We are two weeks away boys and Mommy from getting into the New Testament yay woohoo October 1st all right uh Andrew I had to do that okay dear God thank you for today thank you for my sons thank you for my wife thank you that we can look to your word Lord would you please open our open our eyes uh give us spiritual eyes and spiritual ears to hear and see what you have for us and God I ask that you would um be glorified through this and we ask these things in Christ's name amen all right the gate can I have back please the gate for the prince 44 then he brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary which which faces East and it was shut and the Lord said to me this gate shall remain shut it shall not be opened and no one shall enter by it for the Lord the god of Israel has entered by it therefore it shall remain shut only the prince May sit in it to eat bread before the Lord he shall enter by the way of the vestibule of the gate and shall go out the same way then he brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple and I looked and behold the glory of the Lord filled the temple and the Lord's of the Lord the glory of the Lord filled the temple of the Lord that's an interesting statement huh and I fell on my face and the Lord said to me Son of Man Mark well see with your eyes and hear with your ears hey we just prayed that all that shall all that I shall tell you concerning all the statutes of the Temple of the Lord and its laws and Mark well the entrance to the temple and all the exits from the sanctuary and say to the rebellious house to the house of Israel thus says the Lord God oh House of Israel enough of all your Abominations in admitting foreigners uncircumcised in heart and flesh to be in My Sanctuary profaning my temple when you offer to be my when you offer to me my food the fat and the blood you have broken my Covenant in addition to all your Abominations and you have not kept charge of my holy things but you have hurt others to keep my charge for you in My Sanctuary thus says the Lord God no Foreigner uncircumcised in heart and flesh of all the foreigners who are among the people of Israel shall enter My Sanctuary but the Levites who went far from me going astray from me after their Idols when Israel went astray shall bear their punishment they shall be ministers in My Sanctuary having oversight at the temple the gates of the temple and ministering in the temple they shall Slaughter the the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people how do you slaughter a burnt offering uh I think they slaughter it before it's burnt and they shall stand before the people to minister them I'm guessing on that by the way just the only thing that seems to make sense because they ministered to them before their idols and become became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel therefore I have sworn concerning them declares the Lord God and they shall Bear My Punishment they shall not come near to me to serve me as priest nor come near any of my holy things and the things that are most holy and they shall bear their shame and the Abominations that they have committed yet I will appoint them to keep charge of the temple to do all its service and all that is to be done in it all right would you read 15 through the rest please rules for the rules for L levitical priests but the levitical priests the sons of zadok who kept kept the charge of My Sanctuary when the people of Israel want to stray from me they shall come near to me to minister to me and they shall stand before me to offer me the fat and the blood declares the Lord God they shall enter the sanctuary and they shall approach my table to minister to me and they shall keep my charge when they enter the gates when they enter the gates of the inner Court they shall wear linen garments they shall have nothing of wool on them while they minister at the gates of the inner court and within they shall have Linen turbin on their heads and linen undergarments around their waists they shall not bind themselves with anything that causes sweat and when they go out into the outer Court to the people they shall put off the garments in which they have been ministering and lay them on in the Holy Chambers and they shall put on other garments lest they transmit Holiness to other people with their garments they shall they shall not shave their heads or let their walks grow long they shall surely trim the hair of their heads no priest shall drink wine when he enters the inner Court they shall not marry a widow or a divorced women woman but only the ver only virgins of The Offspring of the House of Israel or a widow who was a widow of a priest they shall they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and the common and show them how to dis how to distinguish between the unan clean and the clean in a dispute in a dispute they shall act as judges and they shall judge it according to my state Jud judgments they shall keep my laws and my statutes in my in all my appointed feasts and they shall keep the sabbaths my sabbaths holy they shall not defile themselves by going near to a dead person however her father for father or mother for son or daughter for brother or unmarried sister they shall def defile themselves after he has become clean they shall count seven days for him and on that day that he goes into the holy Place into the inner Court to minister in the Holy place he shall offer his sin offering declares the Lord God this shall be their inheritance I am their inheritance and you shall give them no possession in Israel I am their possession they shall eat the grain offering the sin offering and the guilt offering and every devoted thing in Israel shall be theirs and the first of all the first fruits of all kinds and every offering of all kinds from all your offerings shall belong to the priests you shall also give to the priests the first of your dough that a blessing may rest on your house the priest shall not eat anything whether bird or beast that has died itself or to or is torn by wild animals hello all right good job Andre no dang it hold on P take my no no no no I have my commentary I forgot commentary existed for a second okay all right apologies for the delay here okay 44 one and two the outer gate was shut the Lord has returned from the direction in which he departed it is kept closed in honor of the Lord's glory having returned through it for the millennial worship and indicating that the Lord will not depart again as in chapters 8 through 11 this Eastern Gate of the temple should not be confused with the modern sealed Eastern Gate of the city and then 443 the prince May sit in it the designation Prince is used at least 14 times in chapters 44- 47 he is not the Lord Jesus Christ but someone distinct from him he has sins for which he offers sacrifice and father Sons he cannot enter by the East Gate that the Lord used but it but he is allowed to come in and go out by the gates vestibule and eat bread by the Gateway he cannot perform Priestly duties as Messiah will and he must Worship the Lord most like likely the prince is one who is neither a priest nor the king but rather one who administer administrates the kingdom representing the king the Lord Jesus Christ on one hand and also the princes who individually lead the 12 tribes possibly he will be a descendant of David do you have anything or no no okay stuff but can you read 4 44539 for me please in the commentary Mark well the entrance since the Lord G Lord's Glory fills the temple and is Sanctified and God is particular about what kind of people worship there sins of the past as in as in chapters 8 through 11 will not re will not be repeated and if they are will exclude their per perpet perpet perpetuators perpetrators perpetrators from the temple only the circumcised those are law Breakers only the circumcised in heart may enter whether of Israel or another Nation many other people peoples than Jews will go into the kingdom in un unresurfaced [Music] about removing sin and begin and being devoted to the Lord in the Millennium a Jew with an uncircumcised heart will be considered a foreigner uncircumcised in heart and flesh refers to Sinners and foreigners identifies foreigners identifies rejectors of the god of the true God the holy District verse excuse me chapter 45 when you all lot the land as an inheritance you shall set apart apart for the Lord a portion of land as a holy District 25,000 cubits long and 20,000 cubits broad it shall be holy throughout its whole extent of this a square plot by of 500 by 500 cubits shall be for the sanctuary with 50 cubits of for open space around it and from this measured District you shall measure off a section 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 Broad and which shall be the sanctuary the most holy place it shall be the holy portion of the land it shall be for the priests who minister in the sanctuary and approach the Lord to minister to him and it shall be a place for their house and a holy place for the sanctuary another section 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 cubits broad broad shall be for the Levites who minister at the temple as their possession for cities to live in alongside the portion set set apart as the holy District you shall assign for the property of the city in area 5,000 cubits Broad and 25,000 cubits long it shall belong to the whole house of Israel um 45 should I read all of them if you want the portion for The Prince and to the prince shall belong the land on both sides of the Holy district and the property of the city alongside the holy district and the property of the city on the west on the East correct corresponding in length to one of the tribal portions and extending from the West to be the eastern boundary of the land it is to be his property in Israel and my princes shall not shall no more oppress my people but they shall let the houses of Israel have the land according to their tribes thus says the Lord God enough o princes of Israel put away violence and oppression and execute judge Justice and righteousness cease your evictions of my people declares the Lord God you shall have just balances a just epha and a just bath the epha and the bath shall be of the same measure the bath containing one tenth of a homer and the epha one tenth of a homer the Homer shall be the standard measure the shekele shall be 20 gas 20 shekels plus 25 shekels plus 15 shekels shall be your Mina this is the offering that you shall make one sixth of an epha from each Homer of Wheat and one sixth of an epha from each Homer of barley as and as the fixed portion of oil measured in baths one tenth of a bath from each core the core like the Homer contains 10 baths and one sheep from every flock of 200 from the watering places of Israel for grain offering burnt offering and peace offerings to make atonement for them to the Lord God all the people of the land shall be obliged obliged to give this offering to the prince in Israel it shall be the prince's duty to furnish the burnt offerings grain offerings and drink offerings at the feasts the new moons and and the sabbaths all the appointed feasts of the House of Israel he shall provide the sin offerings grain offerings burnt offerings and peace offerings to make atonement on behalf of the of on behalf of the House of Israel thus says the Lord God in the first month on the first day of the month you shall take a bowl from the herd without blemish and purify the sanctuary the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering and put it on the doorposts of the temple the four corners of the ledge of the Altar and the posts of the Gate of the inner Court you shall do the same on the seventh day of the month for anyone who has sinned against error or ignorance so you shall shall make through error or ignorance so you shall make atonement for the temple in the first month on the 14th day of the month you shall celebrate the Feast of the the Passover and for seven days 11 bread shall be eat and that day the prince shall provide for himself and all the people of the land a young bull for a sin offering and on the seven days of the festival he shall provide as a burnt offering to the Lord Seven young bulls and seven Rams with without blem on each of the seven in each of the seven days and a male goat daily for a sin offering and he shall provide as a grain offering an EPA for for each Bowl an epha for each RAM and a hen of oil to each EPA in the seventh month on the 15th day of the month and for seven days of the feast he shall he shall make the same provision for sin offerings burnt offerings and grain offerings for the oil and for the oil and for the oil okay good job and none okay we'll do the last section after this 451 through 5 set apart for the Lord this sacred land set apart for set apart at the Heart Center of Israel is separate from allotments designated for various tribes seven to the north and five to the South through the whole earth though the whole earth is the Lord's this area is Meaningful to him in a special sense as providing for special purposes that Ezekiel goes on to define the holy the holy rectangle corresponds to 488 through 22 which describes this portion as between Judah to the north and Benjamin to the South extending from the Mediterranean East to the eastern border it is the area for the Priestly homes particularly but also is also for the benefit of all worshippers get the door before they ring the doorbell please maybe don't open it look don't open it look okay all right um let's see I think that's it Andrew y That's it all right de watch uh there's a cool section here with Millennial feasts oh yeah see that um so let's see Passover in Leviticus and then Passover in Ezekiel um they have a there's a new year in the millennial Kingdom so unleavened bread in Leviticus unleavened bread in Ezekiel Pentecost in Leviticus not in the millennial trumpets in Leviticus not in the millennial atonement in the Leviticus not in the millennial and then the Feast of booths is in both Leviticus and Ezekiel interesting okay all right this is our John MacArthur Study Bible that we're reading from so if you want to check that out you can grab that Bible I think it was like $25 or something it has the same
