NFL Monday night Football Review and Reaction. Dan Francisco 49ers defeat New York Jets 19-32

[Music] right what's going on everybody welcome back to we the Champs so good to be here uh we did an episode yesterday and now we're just doing a quick take of Monday Night Football followed by a preview of Thursday Night Football so just stay tuned for us for a second um hit that like subscribe comment and let's get into it first Monday Night Football game of the year um 49ers bully the Jets 19- 32 and it's not as close as that score indicates um Aaron Rogers one one positive thing for the Jets Aaron Rogers didn't te a kees on the first drive he stood strong stayed in there the entire time um one one positive thing I saw was that the offensive line for the Jets actually played kind of kind of straight you know what I mean and um I think that's a positive outlook going on for the rest of the season is um just protection for your quarterback for sure yeah I think that was a big thing that they were missing last year for whoever was behind Center they were always Under Pressure um I think that Aaron Rogers definitely has to get his rhythm down coming off of kill's injury being 40 years old he only passed the ball to what four different receivers last night that's definitely not like one two five five he didn't spread the ball around as he normally does Aaron Rogers is known for like getting the ball in everybody's hands and making them weapons um it's it's one game but you can definitely tell like they're outclass by the way that uh oh yeah absolutely boats boy uh schemed up everything in the front boy that defense and offense is really just like moving everybody around swarming to the ball um and then oh gosh the uh the L inactive uh report Chris mcaffrey not playing dude that was so crazy um everybody on fantasy who had mcaffrey had to had to pick somebody up real quick to slot him in there and then the sports books they had so many they they had so many prop bets Frozen for this game for like 30 minutes it was it was insane the fact that one person can just change so many things in in the in the nation is like is wild but um with Jordan Mason that backup 28 carries 147 R uh yards props to him coming out there making that happen that tells you that offensive line is getting a push too bro there's a Reon there's a reason why they didn't really hesitate to pay Trent Williams the money that that he just got in first ballot Hall of Famer but even I would look at it like this CMC being being a Carolina product for his first few years in the league like we understand um what it's like to have an injured CMC and he's here's an elephant in the room he's 28 years old as a running back with a lot of usage um even the last few years like running the ball he wasn't injured but like honestly he he's due to like have a Slowdown in production just because he's a 28y old running back who does everything so um he throws passes yeah throws runs U one of the best receiving running backs in the history of the game but again 49ers have a backup who they can slot into the system and they got the ball that's one thing with them they will run the ball that's another reason why they're successful um some other takeaways uh like I said big thing the offensive line uh only allow one sack on r and he only got tapped hit four times so that's you know that's a big Outlook uh Bree Hall looked good with the ball in his hands um didn't have much room to work with but you know he was in there Allan Lazard made a play um Garrett Wilson made a couple plays so they definitely got some things to build on and um you know they're just simply outclass by the 49ers um in this game but let's look at the outlook for the rest of the jet season you were talking about their next few games yeah Titans Patriots Broncos and Vikings so each one of those games should be a win heading into that Monday night match up with the bills with your boy super Josh um big time Monday night game so they'll have a chance I mean and no game is a guarantee in NFL even honestly going into the Vikings game we don't know we don't know because they're playing in Minnesota no they're they're playing uh I think they're playing in Europe oh they're playing in oh yeah they're slotted as the way they're slotted as the way team but they're playing in Europe man so again that's going to be a crazy game for them to go they're playing something like three games in 14 days so and they're playing three okay so yeah yeah three games 14 days um but yeah they if they want some success this season they have to sweep these next three games Titans you got two young quarterbacks on the Slate Titans and Broncos then you have a uh journeyman Bridge quarterback and jacobe brassette and that's a home game they get against the Patriots division rivalry yeah I I'll take the Jets on the money line for that one for sure man yeah but you never know what they're G to get that defense is crazy bro so even with I don't know man I think it's going to be different to see I want to see how the how the Patriots play next week because we we know their defense is gonna be the top honestly top five defense in the league right now but the Jets defense can play up to far like that too you know um yeah but we're not expecting anything out of the Patriots offense anyway so exactly but I believe but what I'm saying is I believe the Jets can manage this game Aaron Rogers at the helm can manage game a lot better to a victory and as opposed to jacobe brassette and what they got going on are we sure like let's go back over the history of the last six games that Aaron Rogers played let go back to 2022 so the last six games that Aaron Rogers has played he has only passed for one touchdown in the last six games he's played one touchdown so what you saying about all right so what you saying about Rogers I'm saying he's a 40y old quarterback coming off in ailles bro that's all I'm saying that's all I'm saying I'm not saying he washed or anything like that but if if the Jets are depending on Aaron Rogers to be the reason why they're winning a Super Bowl this year like super yeah he was 20 he was in his 20s and they couldn't depend on him to win a Super Bowl I'm just saying so that's a lot of pressure on somebody that was uh like a decision away from being a vice president candidate you know what I'm saying this it's just so much it's so much that we put on Aaron Rogers and I just don't see I think I think it's definitely going to be an up and down season for somebody like that okay now let's uh it takes and Mike Williams didn't even play a snap I don't I don't believe wonder what's up with that um right those injuries older too now let's flip to the ners side uh they pretty much look the same from last year if not better the fact that they were pounding the ball with the backup running back um Jordan Mason um dvo did his typical thing had eight touches out the back field a tutty uh 54 um recept five receptions for 54 yards um they spreaded the ball out you know kdo got his touches aayu only had two catches he had few uh had a few targets I know he had the diving catch that he U Dropped In The End Zone that was a tough one but that's one of those balls you were saying it's like dang a you could usually catch that you know he usually catch it but again he miss he miss some time in Camp right so they're gonna still round in the shape and then I look at it like this man Brock prie is continually like building on his resume like he's continually building his skill and the more comfortable he's going to be this is year three for him with they did a really good job on bringing back all these targets and so with Mason back there you're gonna have mcaffrey and Mason you have a a great combination of receivers you have one of the best catching Titans in the history of the NFL and you have a brilliant offensive mind so I think I think Brock PR is going to have a really big year um coming off the gate man if if honestly even if the guys were making plays and catching passes he would have passed over 300 yards Yeah man so he he look he just looks that solid just the decision making everything like like he's just looking clean you know and that's that's what I expect from the pur Mr Irrelevant but I think this game was a big statement game for the 49ers too uh I mean I just heard little just talks about them in offseason oh they're getting old blah blah blah the the Ruckus with the contract situations and blah blah blah so for them to come out here and bust down the Jets like this now if they would have lost it would uh you know it's probably it's victory for the Jets would have probably gave other teams a bit more confidence going in the Levi Stadium and playing against the 49ers like oh the Jets did it Aaron Rogers old dusty ass did it let's go out there let's go let's go out there and hoop fellas and show them what we about and you know really turn the pressure on and come at them and you know this is a statement game for the 49ers like hey we here we went to four straight NFC championship games two Super Bowls and we about to be right back in the mix so hell y'all talking about you know for them like next week they got a division of course division rival game against against your Rams coming up on uh Sunday then oh no no no they got they got the Vikings they got vik which is gonna be a good game then they're gonna go into that uh Rams game so Vikings is gonna be a tougher it's G to be a tougher game Than People expect I honestly think I honestly think Sam Darnell is going to have a decent year I'm not g to say he's going to have a pro bowl year but it's definitely going to be a decent year his best season oh it's gonna be his best season I mean he seems very comfortable I think I kind of equated to that Gino that Gino Smith year when uh he was with the Seahawks so um I think that's going to be a closer game than what we expect with Jefferson being healthy and have big targets then the 49ers have the Rams game um and it really depends on how healthy that Rams team is on how that game's going to be so yeah so you know that opening game they're missing two tackles and they were missing some other people too and um and with PUK out that's one less Target you know it's tough It's it's going to be tough for the Rams that's why I was saying at the beginning of the year like yeah they are a really good team but their schedule is going to be tough and then if they get those injuries piling up man like there going to be a tough beginning of the year for the Rams which it definitely make it easy for the ners to win that division so ni all right right Monday Night Football was fire glad it's back who's who's next Monday do you know n let's see let's go ahead slate next Monday let's see so next Monday oh Falcons and the eagles the birds Falcons and the Eagles yeah W Fly Eagles Fly man this a chance it's a chance the Falcons going to be 0 and two it's a good chance for real
