Yeah, Evian. Do you see the effect of Francine making an impact here in Texas? Luckily not for us, we are staying clear of hurricane Francine, which is now tropical storm Francine, but it is still bringing life threatening storm surge to portions of Louisiana and Mississippi coastline. Like you all mentioned, it did make landfall as a category two hurricane yesterday near Morgan City around the evening time hour, still leaving thousands without power right now, bringing a lot of heavy rainfall, flooding and again, life threatening storm surge to those areas. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has been and who will be affected by Francine as it continues to bring heavy rainfall across the state of Mississippi. It's gonna be a remnant low though by the afternoon today, but right now it is still moving northeast at 12 MPH with max sustained winds of 45 MPH. We're gonna keep our eye on Francine as he continues to bring heavy rain across the state, but we will see another tropical storm potentially form later this afternoon as we're tracking. Now, tropical depression number seven, moving west northwest at 17 MPH. With max sustained winds of 35 not expected to bring any impacts to our area just yet, but it could make its way into the Gulf of Mexico. So we'll keep you updated on that. But here's our view outside over Temple right now, seeing cloudy condition and again, no effects from any hurricanes or tropical storms expected for us here in Texas today. 72 degrees right now with winds out of the north northwest up to six MPH. As we take a check of our most recent drought monitor, we have seen some improvements. We're still dealing with some abnormally dry patches across the area but no longer dealing with a moderate drought. And today, the next drought monitor comes out. So we'll see if we have any improvement or those dry conditions are worsening, but we don't have any rain in the forecast over the next few days either. So we could potentially see those drought conditions worsen as the sunshine returns. We're gonna start the morning though with cloudy conditions warming up fairly nicely through the day. Not extremely hot, more on the comfortable side for your Thursday, but that changes as we approach the weekend. Remember we're still in summertime, even though we've seen temps fall below the average, you did get a nice relief from those triple digit temperatures, but those mid to upper nineties are returning for the weekend, 92 degrees for Friday, 96 on Saturday. And 97 on Sunday. So summer time is still sticking around for those temps as we approach the weekend. So remember the three Ss to make sure that you all stay protected. That's your sunscreen. Make sure you find shade if you work outdoors and of course, always stay hydrated, even if you're not thirsty, take a sip of water to hydrate your body. Again, we're gonna see these temperatures continue to rise, not only for today, but as we head into the rest of next week as well. And luckily though we're not seeing uh any extremely hot temperatures or no heat advisories expected. But again, you wanna make sure that you're applying your sunscreen. If you're gonna be outside for long periods of time, if you work outdoors, find shaded areas and be sure to take frequent breaks. And again, like men, of course, stay hydrated because temperatures are on the rise, like I mentioned before, not only for the weekend but into next week, we're gonna hang on to those upper nineties, mostly sunny conditions across the area as we go throughout the next seven days as well, rainfall will be hard to find. We're talking minimum showers in the forecast all together. And so that's why it is very important for you all to stay safe and stay hydrated as we go throughout the next seven days.
