the Rainbow Warriors looking for their first win of the season after coming up short last week on the road at Vanderbilt kitv 4 Sports director Brian odima joins us live now from Manoa with more on the big home game it's really loud there Brian hey thanks a lot Marissa it's a big night in college football the Rainbow Warriors home opener as they welcome Stanford to town tonight and this is the uh fan section right here and it's loud folks there's a lot of them packed in here now last weekend quarterback Brayden Shaker passed for 351 yards and three touchdowns and the team scored 14 unanswered points to end the game unfortunately it came up short but now they're back home at the friendly confines in front of their home fans and the players and coaches say it feels like home you know it just has a feel of ohana around here and it really and when we go out to the community it has the same field that which is the vision you know that's that's that's what I that's what I envisioned that's why I wanted to come home and and take over this job I'm really pleased at where it's at really you know really excited to see the fans in here TC Chang and I know it's going to be rocking you know we're going to have to play a really good game to beat a really good team um and and the fans um when they're cheering and they're loud it gets really fun I think there's confidence I think that uh we did a lot of good things and a lot of good stuff that we put on film and I think that just we're a young group on offense and it just continues to bring confidence every time you play and I think the receivers have a lot more confidence going into this week so we're ready to go yeah I hope we can pack it out I hope that everybody comes out and supports I think it's going to be a fun time I'm hoping that we can pack this thing out get it rolling and uh get it back to how it was back in the day at Aloha Stadium when they had it jumping so that's our goal [Applause] now we're back out here live now the Rainbow Warriors are three-point underdogs to Stanford but before last week's game against Vanderbilt they were 10 point Underdog so Vegas seems to think this will actually be a very close game let's hope we get the outright win reporting live on the campus of the University of Hawaii Brian ojima kitv 4 Sports [Applause]
