foreign what's going on everybody welcome back to the channel so I will be making schedule predictions for every single power five team in college football for this upcoming season and I'll also do a subsequent Conference standings video once I finish every single team in a specific conference just as a synopsis of all of my running scheduled predictions those synopsis videos will be coming later on into August as we get closer to the start of the season we are we're pretty close now we're only a few weeks away but I have a lot of individual schedules still left to get through I've got to finish up the Pac-12 and the Big Ten still so let's go ahead and get into the Colorado schedule predictions some quick thoughts on the Colorado program as a whole heading into 2022 and this is a program I feel like that flies under the radar a lot and not necessarily in the way that means that they're like severely underrated or anything like that but just that really nobody ever seems to talk about them regardless of what they do if they have a good year and win seven or eight games nobody talks about if they have a bad year and they win two or three games nobody seems to talk about it it's just they seem to never get any national attention so they're an interesting program to try to figure out and put your finger on but they do tend to hover between four and six wins in the Pac-12 seemingly regardless of who is on the roster who's coaching them and I think this year is about the same quality of team as they normally have and you know the schedule is pretty daunting for them this year though they they get zero easy games out of conference and the conference slate isn't one that they should expect to be favored in very much either and that makes for a team that may be you know good enough just in a vacuum to make a bowl and be a bowl level team but they could easily end up with two or three wins this year as well just because of how many games they they're in that aren't easy to pick out you know it's hard to find wins they could literally end up as an underdog in 10 or 11 maybe even all 12 of their games this season and that makes finding wins very difficult even though I think they're going to find a couple um and they have a good chance to get a lot of upsets they're a tough place to play and there's certainly a a better team just like I said in a vacuum uh than a two or three win team you'd expect them to be um but I don't know I don't know where they're going to find their wins it's a tough schedule looking at it so you know normally at this point I would discuss some appoint some opponents uh that just don't have much hope of winning against them barring some sort of catastrophe but for Colorado like I said there really aren't any of those games on their schedule every single game they play is very much so losable so let's go ahead and dive into week one here they open up on a Friday at home against TCU and now TCU is a is a very good Big 12 team I don't think that they're you know some Elite level team by any means but there's certainly a a a seven you know range seven win on the low end range team there and they're certainly going to have a better roster than Colorado just overall now it's one that Colorado could certainly win it's definitely one that they have have a shot in especially early in the season everybody's still trying to figure out who they are there's a lot of unknowns they are the home team as well like I said they're never an easy place to play they always seem to give people some trouble so so one that they could really get an important win in and if they get a big win here that could really help them with their momentum Building forward for the next games later on in the year I don't think they're gonna be able to do it though I think TCU is just better than them by a wide enough margin that even with them being the home team and it being in week one I don't have much faith in them pulling that one off now again they very well could and it's not one that you should count them out in by any means but uh TCU is going to be favored in that one and I'm going to go to TCU to win week two they go at Air Force and and this is another one where it's it's now a conference game and normally you you want a couple easy out of conference games and you may think oh it's Air Force Air Force is not a bad team now Colorado is probably a better team um but but not by much I mean they're they're pretty pretty close and on the road here it's not it's not a huge deal to be on the road against the service Academy they're not going to have a huge home field advantage but they're always a very tough team to play they play a very tough style of football to match up with and it's not an easy out by any means now I'm gonna go with Colorado to get that win there in week two they get an extra day of prep heading into it because they open the season on a Friday and like I said I do think they are the better of the two teams there um but certainly not an easy win not one that can be guaranteed uh by any means and then in week three they continue the out of conference slate with an at Minnesota in Minnesota is a solid team next year I mean they're a a very respectable team and they have a real shot to make a little bit of a push there in the Big Ten to Make Some Noise um and they're certainly going to have a better roster than Colorado they have a lot more continuity than Colorado as well and they're at home in that game and so it's one where again Colorado has an outside chance and they can certainly be competitive and hang around they're definitely going to be underdogs in this one they're on the road in a tough place to play I don't think they have a great shot in that one I think Minnesota's probably going to win that one by a decently wide margin but an interesting game nonetheless where especially if if Colorado wins week one against TCU and they're 2-0 heading into that game it gets a lot more interesting then but I'm going to go with Minnesota to win that one regardless and then in week four they host UCLA and while you know it is helpful to get them at home UCLA is one of the better teams in the conference and they're certainly better than Colorado so it would take a pretty a pretty significant upset effort from from Colorado to to pull this one off and and again I just don't think it's going to happen I think UCLA is is an is better than them by a wide enough margin uh that that one's not going to fall in their favor so I'm going to go to the UCLA to win pretty big there and then the next game up and this is one that I think is going to be really important for Colorado if they want to have a solid season and that is at Arizona now Colorado and Arizona are most likely the bottom two teams in the Pac-12 this year and I think Colorado is probably ever so slightly better than Arizona but it is like I said ever so slightly and they are on the road for this one I think Arizona's gonna find some wins somewhere along the schedule and so I think Arizona will sneak out a win here and this is definitely one of the most winnable games on the schedule for Colorado and in a lot of ways you can consider it a must win if they want to push for ball eligibility because if they can't win that one they're going to struggle to find a lot of other ones I'm just not too terribly high on Colorado particularly when they're on the road this year so I'm gonna go to Arizona to sneak out and win there but definitely a very winnable game for Colorado as well then they get a pretty needed bye week before playing Cal at home and this is another one where they could really you know change the tide of the season because Cal is better than them but they're not dramatically better than them they get a bye week heading into that game and they get Cal at home so it's it's one that you will want to you know Circle as a as a potential big win for for Colorado one that they could really make a push with I don't think they're gonna get this one either though to be honest I think Cal is gonna it's gonna find a way to win this one I think Cal is just the better team overall and I like Cal's young coaching staff they have going on there so I'm gonna go with Cal on this one but another one that Colorado really needs to win if they want to push for biology then they follow that up with on the road at Oregon State and this is one where you know similar to Arizona it's one where they are much more competitive in my opinion now I think Cal is similar but I think they're a little bit better than Oregon state is at this point so I think Oregon State and Colorado are are very comparable teams and while I would give Oregon State to slight Edge and Oregon state is the home team I'm gonna go with Colorado to get the win here I think they're going to find a couple upsets and a couple conference wins along the way which most of their conference wins will probably end up being upsets anyway so I'm going to go with them to get the win there against Oregon State probably one of their easier conference games not to say it's going to be an easy game there's still probably going to be a dog in this game but it's one of their their more winnable conference games in my opinion so I think they're going to get the win in that one week after that they play Arizona State at home and this is one where again being at home maybe if they have some momentum you know if they could win that Cal game and that Oregon State game carry some momentum in here and they have a decent shot now Arizona state is certainly better than them roster wise but Arizona state has a lot of question marks around the team right now you know they've got a lot of moving pieces a lot of transfer uh Intrigue we'll say and they have a lot of off the field drama we'll say going on as well so it's one that you could also see Colorado maybe sneaking out a win and now again there's still going to be a dog in this game as well and they should be a dog in this game so I'm gonna go there's some state to win regardless but one that Colorado could could make a push in if things really fall their way week after that they host Oregon and this is one of the ones where I just don't think they're gonna have much of a shot you know I think Oregon is is dramatically better than Colorado it would take things really working out well for them and things really lining up for them I think to get this win I don't think they're going to be able to do it just plain and simple I think Oregon is is just better than them by a wide margin there so I'm going to go with Oregon to win in that one then after that they go on the road at USC and this is another one where I just don't think they have much of a hope here I think USC's office is going to be way too potent UFC has some questions on the team particularly on their offense and the defensive lines but being at home with us as high powered as their offense is and it's on a Friday I I don't know with that road trip in there I I don't I just don't think Colorado has much of a hope in this one I don't think they're going to be able to do very well and I'm going to go with USC to win pretty big in that one week after that they go at Washington now they get eight days for this one you know they get that extra day because they played USC on Friday and while Washington is undoubtedly a better team than Colorado I think Colorado is going to upset one of the you know teams that's noticeably better than them one of the Oregon USC Washington Utah um you know even UCLA type of teams I think they're going to get one of them somewhere along the way now of those teams picking it out is really difficult it's kind of like throwing darts to be honest I'm gonna go with them to get it against Washington late in the season here it's a tough one they're on the road it's not an easy place to play in and they're certainly not the better team but like I said I think they find an upset somewhere along the schedule this is just where I have it coming so we'll see how that one plays out Washington should definitely be the favorite in that game um but I'm gonna go to the work and or not with the worst in the state with Colorado to get the win in that one and then they end the year at home against Utah and like I said I think they'll get one big upset I don't think they'll get two I think Utah is probably the best team in the Pac-12 this year and you know even though Colorado will be the home team in this scenario I think Utah is going to be very much in the race for the Pac-12 championship and I don't think they're going to let anything cause them to slip up along the way and you know lose their footing and potentially cost them a Pac-12 Championship birth there at the end they're going to be laser focused they bring their their a game just about every week I'm gonna go with Utah to win strong there at the end of the season so that would make Colorado three and nine on the year which is a disappointing record for a team that is probably going to be pretty pretty improved heading into next season but the problem is none of the games on the schedule are games that Colorado should be favored in by any significant margin I mean the Air Force game is no pushover they probably will be a small favorite in that one and while TCU in Minnesota are both winnable they're definitely not going to be favored in them they would both be upsets and within the conference they might be favored over Arizona but beyond that I doubt they're going to be favored against most anybody else they play and that makes finding wins hard even though I think they're good enough to pick up a few conference wins along the way it's just hard to pick them out off the schedule so I could see you know anywhere from that two to three win season range all the way up to F5 or even a six win season just depending on how a lot of those 50 50 games fall you know if they can get a win against maybe a TCU or something like that snaggling against Arizona get a big win over California foreign buy then maybe you have a shot there to to make a bowl but I mean that's assuming a couple of Big Things Fall your way I'm already giving them some upset wins against Oregon State and Washington and that's just to get them to three wins so anything beyond that is going to be difficult for them despite the fact that I do think they're going to be improved they just don't have any easy out of conference games to help boost the record anyway though that'll do it for this one let me know Down Below in the comment section where you guys agree with me and or disagree with me on the Colorado
