a big difference between Will McDonald in his sophomore year and Hassan reck in 2024 I know fans are excited Ed they don't want to be blinded but you have to understand Hassan rdit can unlock everything for this pass rush another part of will McDonald's game that I've critiqued and criticized before is his ability to stack moves on top of one another if the tackle gets hands on him what can he do to then break the stalemate and win the rep here's an example of Assan reick doing exactly that against the Rams again from the right hand side of your screen look how Rd goes speed to power and then throws in the ri and gets to Matthew Stafford this is exactly what I'm talking about yes he gets good hard heavy hands through the chest of the right tackle but now look at the violent right arm rip he's going to come under the armpit bang look at the force the ability to then shed disengage and that bend and lower body torque this is teaching tape from Hanan reic how to stack moves how to put together combinations to get yourself clean and get to the quarterback now I'm not say McDonald can't do this long term but the Jets have a Super Bowl window of 1 to 2 years right now they need this guy he's a Difference Maker and he's one of the best in the game what a fantastic job from Assan reik here right arm RI look at that beautiful but don't get me wrong Hassan reck's one of the twitchi athletes in the NFL and that's what's allowed him to amass 27 sacks over the last two seasons you want to see a spin move this is ridiculous from the left hand side of the Philly defensive line have a look at Hassan reck's spin work through contact and Sack Andy Dalton look it's one thing to have the athleticism and footwork to execute but I love how he wads through traffic how he gets tight end goes straight around it and then just flattens to the quarterback look at him turn the corner Hassan reck is a supreme athlete and he lays the wood on Patrick Mahomes I love this guy he he's so versatile he's got every single pass rush move in the bag and that's why the Jets need him again I'm not making this video to be critical of Will McDonald I'm just showing you the difference in these two repertoires right now in 2024 and the last pass rush move that I wanted to highlight today was the cross chop Hassan reck's eurostep footwork look how easily he accounts for the right tackle on this occasion you're going to see number seven just blow by him stay balanced and get to Dak Prescott a fantastic job with his hands intricate technique look how 78 goes to the right arm punch reic
