Calin on his debut kin I imagine two goals is is probably all that you could have dreamed of for a personal debut today yeah I'm uh happy for the goals uh is a bitter sweet because of the team we're not able to bring a winner home so yeah it looked like you were very confident once the PK was given to kind of point to yourself to take it what gave you the confidence to do that in that spot oh I think the whole team I'm thankful poie and all the other players that let me take it you know I'm I'm grateful to unlock myself and then uh yeah it was great you know a lot of guys struggle when they first come to MLS what do you have that they don't that's I don't know I don't know that's a difficult question I can answer for them what did you see on the second goal that kind of have the calmness to to chip it like that I mean as a striker I've been working a lot in front of the goal so so I think repetition and once you get in the pitch it becomes natural did you do anything special to commemorate the debut anything did you keep a ball I know the debut patch on the Jersey anything special to commemorate the moment no unfortunately I I didn't because we didn't win the game you know so go if we go to win that would be even nicer yeah you ready to go 90 minutes even though this is the first time You' played a competitive game in a few months what did you do to get ready for this game Jesus I don't know to be honest so I'm just thankful that my body was able to hold hold up so I'm just thankful did uh teammates relay to you the challenge that is playing Seattle for this club and kind of much of a hurdle it's been for this team yeah to be honest I wasn't here so I knew a little about it but uh the whole team we were fired up before the game to win this game unfortunately we weren't able to win that third goal really got us but uh I think we're in a good way I mean um the team uh we are performing better we were more tighter we just have uh two three things that we need to fix up to bring it to the next level what's it like playing next to teoi amazing amazing he he's so old in a game he has so much experience I can learn so much from him and I'm uh very grateful to be able to be next to him really thank you guys thank you midfielder trap how do you sum up another three points drop to Seattle um it's moments right Andy I think the uh if you strip away the three goals I mean I think we I mean that's doesn't almost not doesn't worth saying right but the uh the concentration on set pieces is is really what we take away from this one because other than that there's there's really not much they had in the game um and we we had emphasized and worked on for the past 20 days our defensive set pieces so when we when we fall apart in those moments and they capitalize it's it's disappointing um but it just shows that that's that's a weakness for us why is it always something with Seattle whyatt speciically I don't know buddy uh it feels that way doesn't it but again I think they're a team that does they don't give you anything uh and and they'll punish you when you make mistakes and that's what happened today speaking about not giving you anything it felt like in the first half you struggled to progress the ball into the attacking areas in the second half like found some new life after the second goal and you were on the front foot more what changed uh I think the speed speed of play uh I think we were we were trying to get the ball forward quicker um when when it's slow and you don't break that first line quickly then it goes back to Daye then we're kicking long then they're regaining and and it turns into that lack of control of the game I think we did a better job of getting it into the pockets off and now space opens up it's like softening them up a little bit um with that and then we were able to have time to play uh and then you were saying s bin getting on overlaps you saw Joseph getting forward um and truly once we scored the second goal I felt I felt really good about our chances to win the game um so that's that I think that's the frustrating part for us as well is we felt like we were in control and then it it slipped through our grasp take us through that second goal what you saw with the assist and I'm a playmaker now baby um no look I think sometimes through our our defensive posture in this game hanani came across and he happened to be in that number six role and then I basically just filled his position the number eight and it's just being patient in the pocket um and he finds a great ball between the lines I'm kind of just out on the half turn and kelvin's done a really good job even in the the week and a half we've had him um of trying to get in between the center backs so for me it was almost instinctual get turned look up see his see his run and just slip him through and he I mean it's a great finish I mean just you see the confidence in him kind of calling for the PK to chip it like that yeah what have you seen from him in that regard so far yeah I think he's going to be um very useful for us uh just in someone who who desires to run behind desires to get the ball to feet and you can see I think you guys were just asking about his relationship with Tam um and and wanting to work off a striker as well so um the willingness to run the willingness to want the ball always is is really something that makes him um made him great tonight and then hopefully we'll make him great in the games to come Jefferson talks about confidence to play on the ball and move it forward we saw kind of what he play to the middle maybe an unnecessary one but yeah I think that's one where um hedge your bets on those plays right so if you're going to play a diagonal maybe over hit it right hit it far not trying to play it into the middle of the field but again for for a debut it's these are are misfires we all have them um so I think for him it's it's unfortunately learning the hard way but sometimes that's the best way to learn
