if you don't know who Brock Glenn is you're about to find out he's going to be the starting quarterback for the seminol as they face Georgia in the uh 2013 the 90th annual orange bow game a game that I watched as a child a lot I very clearly remember uh being in Athens one I don't know if I was about to say it was a Saturday night one New Year's night watching that and they're spectacular their Disney it was a Disney halftime show that's how I remember that from the orange ball is nuts Brock Glenn he had 55 yards against Louisville in the ACC Championship game that was you know so this is a great opportunity for him this is not you know one week where he didn't know he was going to play or whatever because why are we in this situation now uh Florida State's backup quarterback has decided to transfer uh or enter the transfer portal I should say so uh you know Florida state is down to its number three quarterback for Georgia in this case this would actually be not Gunner Stockton this would because no this would be Gunner Stockton in this case he would be the three so in this case you know I I just you know I don't I don't know after a while I think I think um this is not going great for the nolles so far and uh here's here's what Mike norell had to say uh um about his essentially new starting quarterback talk talking about raker leaving he said life is full of choices and the opportunity we have now uh he said Brock Glenn who's starting the ACC Championship game for us is going to be the starter in the Orange Bowl definitely excited to see him take his uh take the step from his first start to his second start a lot of confidence in what he'll be able to uh accomplish it's part of a new age of College athletics I know Brock is going to be fired up and excited for the opportunity he has I hope he's fired up for that Georgia defense they're going to be coming after his ass well they might not be coming after him they might make him execute and that and then he couldn't do that against Louisville I mean that that and and and again now I don't know if that was because I don't know if that was situationally um I don't know if that was because he had just gotten the you know kind of the word that he was going to start I mean we don't we don't know but like that and it may be that um it may be that that was sort of the game plan for the NOS coming in we're not going to throw it you know we're not we're just going to try to win this game and that's it but you know I'm I'm looking up some statistics here I mean he he's he's attempted 25 passes this season and this is not the greatest way to he's 10 of 25 for 90 yards now he did play the whole time against Louisville he was eight of 21 for 55 yards he was sacked five T four times um look Flor say is going to have a hard time winning this game that's just all there is to it and and you know I know they're mad about everything else but and and they they've got a right to be mad but there's a game to be played here now I mean we're past Christmas here and it it's it's you know now the focus has got to be on playing this game it's going to be a challenging situation for the nlls no matter what for Georgia though I got to say I've talked a lot about Florida State here lately Florida State doesn't matter right for Georgia all you got to do is play your game it doesn't matter who you playing it matters how playing and you know Georgia I mean this season has basically played pretty well I would say I mean you look at what they're they their worst two performances were against I guess alab certainly Alabama which I mean they understandably and then Auburn I guess but everybody else they did what they wanted to do Tennessee Florida ol Miss Kentucky uh you know Georgia Tech even uh who else did they play South Carolina the way they pulled away against Carolina uh Vanderbilt they did not play well well they did not play great against Vanderbilt but it wasn't bad if they play the way they played against Vanderbilt they'll probably beat Florida State by two touchdowns if they play like they played against Old Miss the Gators Kentucky Tennessee if they play like they play in those games or any of the gimi games UAB the start of the Season against whoever it was Tennesse Martin when they play they did about eight of their 12 games this season this game Georgia will win by a lot of points not some points but you know I I I I I question whether uh Mike nll has got Florida State pointed in the right direction right now because there's so many guys flying around going all over the place Georgia we have not heard any people opting out and I'm sure there were guys that will not play we've seen 16 I think it's 16 plus guys go to the transfer portal well that's happening all around College footb that's not new it's the fact that Florida State's got so many guys on the offensive Sid particularly that are not playing in this game that would concern me if I were a Florida State fan you know you know this is an opportunity for Georgia I think this is a lot like last year's sugar bowl for Alabama okay what do I mean by that Alabama you know did not have the season they wanted last year Georgia basically had one game that they didn't want this year or you know one play or three plays you know are you going to let what happened a month ago bother you today it it doesn't you know so far with the with exception of guys like pop Brock Vandergriff those guys are gone everybody that's in the program and around the program they certainly seem to be moving forward I mean I would not I'm not reporting this I would not be surprised if Brock Bowers played in this game I would not um I think what's what would hold him out would be to me would be are you are you healthy like are you really healthy cuz if you're not really healthy man not just for the your professional future I mean it's not worth it for you to go make sure you're checking out Eco have been listening lately and check out they've got a lot of options um but I think for the dogs you know I think it would be this would be one of Kirby Smart's worst losses this would be close to South Carolina 2019 so this is not an acceptable you know loss there's you know that would be this would be a I wouldn't say catastrophic loss it would be a really bad loss but I know now I I I'll tell you right now a couple things as a as a person that's covered Georgia for close to quarter Century I you know I was there during the Sugar Bowl and you know for uh excuse me Texas was a 13 or 14o dog in that game the vibe it was drastically different Georgia was reacting to not getting into the playoff and did so for a month and um they had players who were uh not playing in the game and uh it was just just not they were not moving forward from that moment forward Georgia a has not lost a bowl game or postseason game theyve not lost a postseason game they won the Sugar Bowl the Peach Bowl the Orange Bowl the national championship the Peach Bowl the national championship so they've won six in a row or I may have left one out there then Kirby decided intelligently you know when they got back from New Orleans in 18 after the 18th season he was not pleased with what happened he shouldn't have been um and they changed the way that they were you know moving forward with bowl game situations with with everything now there were a lot of young players that played in that game that had not played deod Wilson aizo jalari did not play the whole season and he played in that game so those two guys were out there a lot there was a lot of you know Plug and Play there was not a lot there was some Plug and Play so that was interesting to see as well but you know more than anything Texas was abnormally interested in being there uh Georgia was just like well we're not in the playoff I'm not suggesting Georg is abnormally uh excited to be at the Orange Bowl I wouldn't classify it that way they're more excited to be there than Florida state is Florida state has no interests at all in being there and I I saw what Mike nor said um but about arriving in in Miami but y'all they're not I mean they're not excited to be there they they feel like they should be in the playoff and you know that's their argument to make uh you know Georgia I think feels like it should be in the playoff but it you know that's not been a talking point part of the problem for the nolles and it's part part of it they well I would say part of it they can't control but their governor is acting like this is a gigantic Injustice you've got the Attorney General of the State of Florida doing the same thing uh the Board of Trustees is trying to pull out of the ACC I mean like there's been a lot of we've had enough of this and Rona Sanz is a gator so I don't he's just doing this to try to activate his presidential campaign which is not going well so um there's been a lot of you know PR clutching in the State of Florida about what's happened to Florida State um but that's great but they're going to have to get ready and play this game and it looks to me like Georgia is you know has dealt with what's happened I mean Georgia's lost to Alabama before and not won a national championship as a result of that by the way if you didn't know that already so they've been in this position before Florida State's never been this in this spot I don't think anybody has um and hopefully no one ever will again I mean we you know they are not one of the best four teams but they but they are they are deserving of being in the playoff why well I mean they're an undefeated conference Champion but that's irrelevant now I mean that's gone so we're going to have to see what happens moving forward um I my suspicion is that it's going to be really tough for the third string Florida State quarterback who threw for 55 yards against Louisville to throw for you know 355 yards or 255 yards
