Oklahoma State Cowboys 2024 Season Predictions

Oklahoma State made it to the Big 12 championship game in 2023 how about 2024 we're going to go game by game give you predictions for each game of the season but first just some thoughts on this Oklahoma State team um it's a team that if you've been following me if you've been watching my channel you know that I'm very high on this team I had them in my top 10 that's how good I think they are uh you look at the offense uh they're they're loaded on that side of the ball really no question marks Allan Bowman in year two uh with with Oklahoma State in this offense I think he's going to be even better I think he'll probably be one of the better quarterbacks in the Big 12 you're loaded in the back field obviously with oi Gordon and they bring in a transfer from Arkansas as well so weapons at receiver offensive line Looks strong this is going to be a very very good offense then you look at the defensive side uh I think it's one of the best linebacker groups in maybe the country uh I won't say they're the best but they're I say they're probably the best in the Big 12 and probably top 10 nationally uh secondary strong defensive line is an area I'm a bit concerned uh about and and that's kind of I think it's the key if this defensive line can develop a pass rush if they can stuff the Run Oklahoma state becomes a team that not only could win the Big 12 but could win a playoff game or two uh so that's that's kind of the difference there I think the rest of this group the rest of this team uh they're loaded and they're experienced they're talented uh they in my opinion are the favorites in the Big 12 Vegas does not agree look at this number and I I had to go look this up I went and checked other sources I was like that's got to be a typo 7 and a half wins for Oklahoma State that was behind like Kansas behind Texas Tech uh this one really really surprised me I don't gamble I don't bet but if I did I would I would put a lot on the over here it would take a catastrophic season it would take major injuries it would take a lot in my opinion for this team to finish below 8 and4 it would just really surprise me if if they finish below 8 and4 I think I saw a stat where Mike Gundy has only finished below eight and four maybe like six times in his 19 years at Oklahoma State and this is maybe the one of the best teams he's had so that number is crazy to me uh let's get into the predictions here and I'll tell you exactly what I think is going to happen uh South Dakota State should be a win so I've got him starting off 1 and0 Arkansas game is in interesting this is an Arkansas team that with Bobby patrino calling plays new quarterback you know maybe you don't know for sure what to expect from Arkansas could be a team that's tough to prepare for uh it's an SEC team it's a team talent-wise that match up pretty well with Oklahoma State uh Oklahoma State a much more experienced team uh you know a veteran team and they're playing at home so it's hard to pick Arkansas and pull off an upset here but I think they'll be competitive uh I think this will be a really interesting game a good barometer of where Oklahoma state is this is going to tell us that this is a team that uh is definitely at the top of the Big 12 and a team that can maybe get to the college ball playoff or if they struggle on this game if if they don't look great maybe all of a sudden you think well Oklahoma State might not be that team that we thought they were going to be remember they started off slow last year so this could be an interesting game and I'm going with Oklahoma State I think they're just too talented that offense too much for Arkansas to stop and they win here by maybe a couple of scores Tulsa up next on the 14th of September that should be a win there on the road I mean you never know but Tulsa not a great team so we're going Oklahoma State there then you got Utah on September 21st who I think is right there with Oklahoma State I've said that I think these are the two best teams in the Big 12 this year HomeField Advantage is going to be big it's a tough place to play uh Utah's a good football team and you know the the matchup here is is probably going to be Oklahoma State can they stop the run game of Utah and that defensive line step up for Oklahoma State and then you know Utah and they stopped the passing attack from Oklahoma State I know you got olly Gordon back there but if you look at their defense they're pretty good against the run so it could come down to Alan Bowman in this game I think he steps up makes some plays I'm going Oklahoma State at home I think their defense will play really really well and they get a huge win here in week four all right next week they play Kansas State on the road I think Oklahoma State's a better team uh I think they match up pretty well here the Kansas State off offensive line could be a challenge though for Oklahoma State uh and their defense and then you look at Oklahoma State you know coming off of a big big win you got West Virginia who's going to be a tough opponent the next week Manhattan Kansas tough place to play I think Kansas State finds a way to win here again I think Oklahoma State's a better team but the better team does not always win Kansas state will be very prepared for this game they're really well coached team and again the HomeField Advantage could be enough to get them the win I'm going Kansas state so they lose their first game they bounce back the next week against West Virginia at home going to be a tough tough team to stop that run game for West Virginia again you look at the matchup here West Virginia has a really good offensive line Oklahoma State maybe some weaknesses on the defensive line so that'll be a matchup that favors West Virginia but Oklahoma State again I just think their offense is going to be too much I think they score enough in this game whereas West Virginia is going to want to try to run the football Oklahoma State's going to throw it run it and I think that'll be the difference their balance tackle and offense plus HomeField Advantage again very very big I think they win over West Virginia but you know you look at these three games Utah Kansas State and West Virginia that's a tough stretch I don't see this team winning all three of those games good news is you get two of them at home and so that gives you a really good shot shot to win you know at least two of these games but um wouldn't be shocked if they lost two of the three but I I think they're going to go two and one in these games uh then they'll get a bye-week before playing BYU on the the road I'm not high on BYU uh this is going to be a one of the younger BYU teams we've seen uh offense I think will struggle I think Oklahoma State uh just puts up too many points I'm going Cowboys next week is Baylor on the road back-to-back Road games actually the BYU game is a Friday night game so it's going to be a quick turnaround uh the next week but you know it's kind of similar to to Baylor I just think Oklahoma State offense is too much Baylor's defense not really expected to be great this year is it could be a tricky on the road this is an upset alert game for sure on a short week but I think Oklahoma state gets it done and they survive a close one the next week they'll play Arizona State at home Arizona State not going to be great this year uh they do have I think a pretty good defensive line so you wonder maybe can they stop the run some in this game uh but like I said Oklahoma State's still balanced it's not just oi Gordon in the Run game it's weapons all over the place and they're just loaded and I just think they're going to be too much for Arizona State they get win here in this one they get TCU next on the road on November 9th this going to be a tough matchup the TCU linebackers I really like I think they're going to be good against the run and that's going to force again Alan Bowman to to probably beat this TCU defense uh I said that I thought he could do it against Utah can he do it on the road against TCU uh TCU offense that could be pretty explosive this year I really like their receivers I think their pass game's going to be good um if the defensive line for Oklahoma State can't get pressure I think TCU has a a pretty good day offensively and again this game is on the road I'm going upset here TCU over Oklahoma State gives them their second loss of the season the next week they play Texas Tech on the 23rd you know pretty good team I think they'll be solid this year uh but just not on the level of Oklahoma State also this Texas Tech Team if you look at their starters they're really good are really solid but they don't have a ton of depth and by this point in the season perhaps they're worn down a little bit Oklahoma State playing at home gets the win and kind of the same story with Colorado I think their starters are going to be very solid um maybe even top 25 good but they don't have a lot of depth in this game's late in the season but it is on the road for Oklahoma State it's going to be an offense they can score we we saw that last year um they they should be able to put up points in this game and if if Oklahoma state if Colorado has a weakness offensively it's the offensive line well that's the weakness for Oklahoma State on defense and so that's a good matchup for Colorado I think this turns into a shootout both teams score a lot of points but I think at the end of the day Oklahoma State outlasts Colorado in a very exciting game again a shootout but I'm going Cowboys their linebackers Step Up make some plays and they get the win to finish 10 and two so again I'm way above that s and a half win total I think they get past there easily um 8 and four is probably the worst case scenario in my opinion you look at losable games you know Kansas State West Virginia and Utah there at the beginning of the Season then maybe TCU maybe Colorado they're not going to lose all five of those games I just don't see it happening unless we have like we see a lot of injuries or something like that but if this team is healthy Oklahoma State should be a team that's right there in the thick of things in the Big 12 and have a chance to get to the Big 12 Championship would love to get your thoughts and your predictions on this team I know some people think they're overrated maybe they're not buying into the Cowboys maybe Vegas is right but in my opinion I think this team is is going to be really good
